Choose For Me - Quick Pick It

I’ve ended up writing a huge list of story ideas and situations for characters to be in. I accumulated them over time, doing research on story prompts, and etc. I use it whenever I can’t think of what story to make, and even my friends ask to use it as well. The problem is, some of the ideas are long enough that I can’t see the end of what I wrote when I look on the list, neither can I edit it until I’m able to identify which one it is that I want to edit. Which can be difficult if some ideas have similar wording in the beginning. I also have no idea if updating this app will cause all of that work I put on the list to go to waste. I don’t want to have to go down the entire list, trying to remember what the end of it (that I can’t see) was, and write it all down somewhere, just to put it all back in the app again. Does anyone know if I’ll loose all my work?

I get stuck when I feel overwhelmed with choices. This has been a great place to keep to-do lists. The randomizer takes away the burden of choice when my brain can’t figure out how to begin. I have running lists for home and work, and so far it has worked well. Only 4 stars because the interface is a little limited. As at least one other reviewer mentioned, you can’t edit list items; you have to delete them and rewrite.

I am subscribed to the Criterion Channel, which has literally thousands of movies online. My queue is already in the hundreds, and I’ve only browsed up through “C”. I wanted an app where I could make a running list of these movies - to add to, and delete as needed - so I wouldn’t have to browse through so many choices to pick what I’m going to watch on any given night. I looked at other randomizing apps that didn’t meet my requirements, so I was excited to find this one. Unfortunately, any time you minimize the app and then open it again, you are forced to watch another ad. So here I am going back and forth between my queue and the app, being forced to watch a commercial for every one or two items I add to my list :/ In order to use this app without this burden, I will have to write down the titles of hundreds of movies and THEN add to the list, which is a whole lot of work for something I should just be able to do while riding in the car or lying in bed.

I’m incredibly indecisive so an app like this really comes in handy. I’ve been using it for a while and at first it was amazing, but recently it’s gone down in quality. The two main concerns that I have with it are 1) there are WAY too many ads. Every time you click on anything or minimize the app there’s an ad so it takes twice as long to use. 2) Nothing shows up anymore when you tap on the ‘choose for me’ button. Just a white box. No answer. It hasn’t worked for me for months. Why use an app to choose a random selection from a list if you can’t even see what it selects? The ads would be a bit more worth it if something would actually show up.

This app is a good randomizer. There is one problem though. When you are editing one of your lists and the “Please Rate Us” pops up, it automatically adds what you were typing to the list. You also can’t edit one of the things on your list. Please fix this. This problem isn’t that bad, but if you want to improve this app, you can start by fixing this problem.

The best random, picker type app that I could find. With others, you're limited to 4 choices. This is practically unlimited. I would recommend being able to delete specific choices and not the whole list. Being a perfectionist, it's a pain to start over, but it's even more of a pain to deal with one lowercase letter that's supposed to be capitalized. Other than that, I highly recommend this app.

Loved using this app. Had it for a long time and was using it for all sorts of things. Then one day everything went black and the choices just came up as white blocks and not showing what it picked. Uninstalled and used another randomizer and then reinstalled it a few months later. While it says there was a bug fixed, nothing changed. Same issue as before occurred. Really frustrating that such a simple app bugged out like this. I’ll reinstall it when I get confirmation that this bug has been fixed.

Currently there is a bug that the choices do not show up whenever you click on it to pick for you. Been using this app for a very long time but unfortunately it’s broken at the moment! Please fix this issue! I know many people probably pass up the app now that’s it’s been broken for so long :(

I’ve been using this app for years. I run a podcast with my friend and it lets us randomize an episode to make it completely random. Recently tho I haven’t been able to see the results. The app went into dark mode which I love but when I click for results it gives me a white screen and I can’t see the answer

I use it to randomly choose players for competitions since people always complain about it. Honestly it is pretty random as random can get just wait 2 seconds before pressing the same button or it might be the same one.

I love how clean this app is, but I just can’t stand the ads. Please make a paid option. I would pay $.99 for this, but since that’s not an option, another developer (with an app I like less) is getting my money. I also agree with many other reviews. The inability to edit an entry is really inconvenient.

There are two primary factors that make this app difficult to use. First of all, it needs a way to bulk add items. For example, I have a list of local restaurants that I would like to add. It would take me quite some time to enter each restaurant separately. Why can’t I just copy and paste a block of text in with the items separated by carriage returns? Speaking of cutting and pasting, I can’t seem to paste a string into the list item field.

Works fine, except I have two suggestions. I want to be able to edit the entries, in case I've misspelled or want to add something. Frustrating to have to delete and start all over. Also, I wish it would automatically alphabetize entries.

this app does everything i need it to do! i use it to motivate me to clean my house by breaking it up by room, then it generates a task to do/clean! i set a timer and challenge myself to complete that task, then let it assign me a new task! complete game changer for me! makes it a fun game instead of mundane tasks :) thank you!!!

It does what it says - call items at random. However it is a huge pain to enter items. 1) there is no way to edit your item if you make a spell error; you have to delete the item and start over- dry annoying. 2) there is no way to import a list so if you have 50 or more items it takes a long time and with deleting for e dry spell error even longer.

I was hopeful for this app, I like the simplicity of setting up items. But… it doesn’t work when your phone is in dark mode. When I switched back to regular mode I was able to see the text. I hope the developer will fix soon so I can use this app!!

This helps me when I want to decide what tasks I should focus on in one sitting. My only problem with it is that you can’t edit the choices once you’ve made them, and you have to delete the whole list if you want it to be perfect. Otherwise, great app

I am currently using this to complete tasks when I am feeling overwhelmed. I create simple tasks that I can accomplish and add in some motivational phrases that will pop up from time to time. Exactly what I need. Thank you for putting this cool application together.

Needed a random list generator and stumbled upon this app. So far I don’t see any limits in how many lists to create and how many items per list may be added. Little drawback is if you need to edit an item listed you can’t edit it, your only option is to delete it.

I’ve used this app for a long time now to generate random characters off lists of said characters. A very useful app!! The last update seems to have broken it though which makes me real sad ;(

Lets me make several categories to choose from to randomly select a subject to draw for my daily sketch. Always takes too much time to decide on my own.

I use this app to help be choose what we eat each week. I input 60 main dishes, and then use the app to choose 7 each week. It varies our diet and remove one decision from me.

This is a fantastic app that has been rendered unusable by excessive advert. The app used to be better now you’re overwhelmed with excessive advertising. Less adverts and an option to pay a little bit of money to eliminate the adverts and I would be more than happy to give this app five stars.

Had this app now a couple years at least. Used to work great. Looks like it still hasn’t been fixed. White screen when you try to run an option. This issue has been reported over a year ago so please report this app to Apple so they delist it since it’s obviously not being updated.

I love this app it allows me to make random challenges for myself and I personally love it. One thing I would add though is to allow people to make it more eye appealing such as custom backgrounds and preselected backgrounds and that would be perfect for me.

I don’t really have an issue with the adds because that’s just what you get for a free app, I do have a problem with the choice generation. There’s an oddly noticeable pattern where you keep getting the same things a bunch and other things never.

It’s free, allows multiple lists without extra charge, and is easy to access. What is there to complain about? Thank you!

I use this app for randomly choosing music scales to practice. For this I would give five stars, but the shear number of ads is annoying. I understand that there’s some need for ads, but this is beyond that. Knocks me down to three stars.

It’s not a bad app it’s just not enough. I’d add the ability to edit the choices after making them without having to delete. Adding photos to each item would be awesome. The ads is the thing that’d I get rid of for like a dollar.

The ads are totally obnoxious. The text ads are not so bad but the ones with sound are horrible. I’d love an option to pay to eliminate the ads. Otherwise, I love the simplicity of this app.

I used this app regularly, at least once a week if not more, but recently, it won’t generate anything. It comes up blank and then plays an ad which never used to be there. I don’t mind paying to avoid ads but that isn’t even a option. The app is just broken now.

I used this to make a game where I just needed to make 3 card decks that I could draw randomly from. It’s really simple and intuitive to use.

So far this app is great! Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. One tweak it needs is when you are creating your list to choose from, you are unable to edit what you enter in once you click next.

Would give this app 5 stars if I could get it to work, is very easy to use and I can put as many options on a list as I want but as soon as I hit “choose for me” the box is blank with no choice in it. I would love to use this app please fix

I got this app forever ago and have loved it since but these adds are getting ridiculous. I cant edit, pick, or view the options without a ten second add right after. Not to mention that I still get an add even if the option is just a blank screen. It was a 5/5 but its rly gone down hill.

My kids often pick different movies and I have an opinion as well. So we check by the randomizer. It works great. :-)

I would like the option to opt out of ads with a purchase. Otherwise this is simple and perfect for me.

Has potential, but more attention should be paid to ease of use. You can’t edit an item once it’s been placed on a list, and cannot copy and paste bulk text (like a list you already have written down).

I love this. I'm not the mean mom telling them what they have to do now. I wish there was a way to edit the items inside each list.

When my phone is in dark mode at night the text for the selection windows turns white on a white background so you can’t see the selection. Please fix this.

I wanted a randomized to add workouts to mix things up. I just added 100+ and it worked perfectly. I’m excited and terrified to use this! Good simple app

Fantastic no frills, bells, or whistles. I would like there to be more categorization options though, such as choose a combination from these three or so select groups.

It gets the job done. It works well. The app makes my hard decision easy. It all around works good. One last thing don’t eat too much salt, you’ll get a heart attack. 💟💛💙🧡

If the Iphone is set to Dark Mode, nothing shows up as picks as the words are white and the background is white. Please fix this as I like to leave my Iphone on Dark Mode all the time.

It’s just what I need to choose because heaven knows I can’t choose on my own 😂😂 Also there are rarely any adds so that’s nice.

Always used this app to choose a name for my character’s or their personalities. But when I press ‘choose for me’ the answer is white out? I don’t see the answer. Please fix this!

I used to use this app with no problems, but it no longer works no matter what I try. When I select “choose for me” only a blank white box appears. There are also an insane amount of ads. After every click there is an ad.

Annoying ad pop ups. Needs an option where once a choice is selected it is temporarily removed from list for selection until entire list has been depleted (selected)

I loved this app until it “updated”. Looks like I’m not the only one. It doesn’t work anymore. Quite the disappointing surprise after not opening it for some time, excited to use it again. “Small bug fixes” Come on guys it still doesn’t work.
