No Audio During Alarms Fixed: I figured it out but man was that a pain
So for the past month I have been having issues with the alarms only alerting me with my haptics and not my music that I set for the alarms. I tried everything including upgrading from the 13 mini to the 15 pro as of a week ago. Still with the upgrade I was having the exact same issue. Yesterday I went into my music library and downloaded every song I’m using for individual alarm sounds. Once I downloaded them all I gave it an hour then force reset my phone (press and release the volume up button, press and release the volume down button, press and hold the power button until the phone turns off and continue holding until the apple icon pops up the screen then release power button and allow the phone to start back up) and now all my alarms work again. So moral of the story is if you don’t hear your alarm going off and you have music set as the alarm tone make sure to download the song not just add it to your library. Seems the alarms will only work with downloaded songs

Glitchy and Disorganized
I’ve used this app for as long as I can remember and the long list of alarms I set for various reasons gets to be confusing. It would be cool if there was a way to group alarms for various tasks/activities into folders. It would also be nice to be able to set an alarm for a particular date rather than just the standard day of the week. For example, when I find out I need to wake up early for a flight 3 Fridays from now, why don’t I have the option to set the alarm for the day I need it to go off? The current option forces you to set it for every Friday. It’s a small but annoying thing. I know lots of people use calendar reminders for this reason, but why not build in a calendar to make the alarm app more functional? Another issue I’ve noticed more recently is, the swipe to snooze is so touchy that more times than not the alarm doesn’t swipe down properly and turns off rather than showing the option to snooze or turn off. I now have to use multiple alarms, as I can never trust the snooze is going to work. I can’t remember when exactly I started noticing this but I think it may have been after an update. Either way, after being a lifelong apple clock app user, I am considering deleting it and finding another one. I think this app has just been neglected or de-prioritized and is in need of a little TLC by developers or more people are going to stop using it.

Piece of JUNK
Read the other reviews as of lately, they are right. I don’t know what happened to this app in the last few years, but lately in just the last two weeks alone, I have “lost“ several alarms it disappeared mysteriously. And sometimes the alarm goes off but it’s not a very low rate and we don’t know why. Additionally, I missed a doctors telehealth appointment this morning because of this app, which is why I’m here looking to download replacements. Left and right swiping to delete alarms really needs to go, it’s an appropriate tool for something this important. It should at the very least and I stress the very least ask you if you are sure you want to delete it. This is not a supermarket app with Coupons where when you’re scrolling you can accidentally activate something no loss no gain really. I’m sick of this app, I thought it was the stock app that came with the phone, and although it probably did come with it I wasn’t even sure it was deletable until today because I never bothered to look. Do yourself a favor, keep looking for a replacement if you have to go one by one, because this one does not cut it. And dev, you don’t fool us with these people reviewing giving five star reviews stroking your telling you not to worry about the poor reviews. Tell your sister to stay home, she has better things to do then wipe your tears.

2 Star Review I used to be able to play my alarms with songs from iTunes but suddenly after the update it’s only playing the radar tune 😭PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP! I’ve uninstalled the clock and iTunes app and even created many test alarms. Only the default alarms work when you change them, but when I try to addy own choice song, it is selected but when the alarm plays, it only plays radar. 😭😭 my schedule has been terrible without the proper music stimulation. The default times just don’t cut it. I can’t find any other app that allows iTunes songs either, I keep getting errors or it just doesn’t show at all when I go to select it. Maybe it’s an iTunes issue? 😔 5 Star Review UPDATE: I was able to resolve the issue!! It’s not enough to download your songs in iTunes, you also have to go into Apple Music and download them on there. After doing this, I was able to get the songs I wanted to play as an alarm. ✨ Definitely a tedious process if you have multiple songs you’ll be using. Thanks Apple 🙄 But I’m happy to have my alarms back. 😊

Not thought through
The clock is a simply concept, and there are so many good features that Apple has on it, but it’s honestly outweighed by the bad, most of their alarms are extremely quiet, like the default for instance, and even at full volume, I’ve slept through it more times than I have fingers (wouldn’t be surprised if it was more than my toes too) so naturally to fix this, I just was going to change the alarm sound, well that’s simply enough in its on, but you can’t set one as a default, so each and every single alarm you set, you have to change the alarm sound. Which might sound just slightly tedious at first, but if you’re like me, you’d probably need alarms for more than just waking up, and even if you didn’t, you probably use more than one alarm a day. So picture this, you have your alarm to wake up, your alarm for when you need to get going soon, and one to know when to leave. With each one, you have to go through meticulously long set of steps just to change the song. And god forbid you want one that’s different then the weird assortment of jingles and jangles Apple has prepared for you. I had to download four different apps, and wait for downloading for almost an entire day just to get a Steven universe song as my alarm sound.

Managed to ruin a simple timer app!
Wow iOS 17 totally ruined the timer portion of this app! First off all, allow us to set a default alarm sound when the timer goes off instead of forcing it to default to the “radial” tone when setting a timer with Siri. The radial tone is not loud enough and setting timers is a common task I have Siri do. Super annoying. Second, please give us the option to disable the timer history. I have absolutely no use for this and it just clutters the page with extra stuff I have to read through to make sure I’m clicking the right thing. I literally clear the history everytime I set a timer now to clear the screen up, and this has become a super annoying task. Maybe these features are helpful to some people, but you could easily give us the option to set it up either way. Third, when perusing the various alarm sounds list and selecting your desired sound, the phone plays the alert at full volume without any obvious way to make the sound stop. This is annoying to others in your vicinity. Maybe set it up so that it doesn’t play a sound sample unless you ask it to. Just some suggestions. The previous version worked perfect and had the Apple simplicity to it.

Clock
I use this app for many things, timers, stopwatch etc. what I don’t use if for is an alarm because there are not enough features. I had to download a separate app for that, and I wish I didn’t have to do that. Some simple suggestions would be to add options to the alarm like to set it for every other Thursday, or for a specific date. My other alarm does that, but I have to remember to open it before I go to sleep. Yours works even if my phone is silent and I forgot to set, but it has to be for every Thursday, when the alarm I might need is for a meeting or a flight that is 3 weeks or a month away. And if my alarm is to remind me of something during the day, unless I keep the other app open all day, it won’t work. Yours on the other hand, works no matter what. Reminders and calendar events don’t always work because they don’t make enough noise. If I’m mowing the lawn or feeding the animals I’ll probably miss it because it will make a small noise and then just stay on my phone, but if I don’t look at it till I come back in the house to wash my hands, then I’ve missed it. Hope to see some updates soon, otherwise, everything else works pretty good.

Clock keeps turning off my set alarms
I’ve overslept a number of times recently, in spite of setting an alarm. (Trying to remember when this started happening, but it was within this past year, I think.) I even started setting a backup alarm for 30 minutes later than the first, but still sometimes ended up waking late to find all alarms off. I’ve been wondering whether I have somehow in my sleep been managing to turn the alarms off rather than hitting snooze after they sound; however, I don’t always remember them having gone off at all. I finally just confirmed that it’s not me—it’s the Clock app. I hit the snooze button for the first alarm, was awake enough to think to check on the alarms, and both the first alarm and the backup were on. I lay there waiting for the alarm to sound again, but it seemed to be taking longer than 9 minutes. Sure enough, checking the alarms again, both the alarm and the backup were turned OFF. I hadn’t touched anything since confirming they were both on just 15 minutes prior. This is one-star behavior for a clock app; however, I gifted it two stars because the timer and stopwatch have continued to work well for me.

Could Definitely Be Better
I’ve used this app for the majority of my life and it’s always worked fine, however it could definitely be better with a few adjustments For starters, the app needs a way to group all of your alarms into categories. I play a lot of sports and am in a lot of extra clubs and groups and I have absolutely TONS of different alarms to make sure I’m on time for everything. HOWEVER, whenever those certain things end for the year (i.e. football and/or wrestling) I always have to scroll through my alarms and try and turn off all of those specific alarms for those specific things and it’s always time-consuming and annoying. If you added a way to create categories and add alarms into set categories where you could turn them all on/off with a single click it would be SO much better. Secondly, I’d like to be able to change how long an alarm can be snoozed for instead of only being able to snooze for 9 minutes at any given time. I get that I could just set my alarm at a different time, but I don’t always want to sleep late or wake up earlier depending on IF I want to snooze at all, and for how long. I get that all of these are probably available on another app somewhere, but I can’t find one with these capabilities anywhere I’ve looked and , like I’ve said, I’ve been using this app for the majority of my life. These adjustments would ultimately make the app so much better than it is now.

Apple please fix your App!
For months now the Clock app that comes standard in the iPhone has been glitching for me which is causing me to wake up late for work. I have my alarm set for 5:30am which goes off, but like many other people, it takes me a little longer to wake up than just one alarm so I snooze until around 6:30. I hit the snooze after the first initial alarm goes off but then nothing else happens after the 9 minute snooze. It shows that it’s going off but no sounds or alerts are made. I’ve done everything I could to try and remedy this. I’ve tried deleting the alarm and making a new one but to no avail. I’ve even taken my phone to the Apple store and they seemed to have fixed it but it did nothing. If you are reading this review and are having similar issues, you’re not the only one. Apple needs to update and completely overhaul this app. I was honestly surprised and somewhat relieved to find out from all the other poor reviews that I’m not the only one suffering from this. This does not look good coming from Apple who expects us to pay top dollar for a product that can’t deliver properly. It’s truly a shame. Hopefully they will fix this sooner than later.

Just not great
I recently switched from using an LG phone to now an IPhone and I have to say this app clock app is really lack lustre. You can’t customise like anything and there is no way to change the settings. first off you there is no customising the snooze, the first time it happened I realised that it was much longer than any other app I had used (good thing I didn’t have anything to do that morning because I would have been late). secondly you can’t use a song as the alarm sound unless you use apple music as someone who doesn’t use apple music and has music downloaded onto my phone it would be nice if I could use that as an alarm sound even though Im not paying specifically for apples subscription service. finally this is just a small thing but I feel like it should say how many hours you alarm is set for. I feel like this is just a nice feature where you can confirm you have set the time correctly and are not going to be screwed over by miss setting the time The app does functionally work but there are definitely things that can be done to make it better and work better for those who are using it

Virtually Useless Timer and Alarm Clock
The timer and alarm clock features of the Clock App on the iPad Pro are utterly useless. The sound is practically inaudible when the pre-set time comes for either of them to go off. I’ve tried every sound adjustment I can find, and contacted Apple Support, but to no avail. Also, the alerts for the Calendar are sorely lacking as well…no slide-in banners like my laptop does, and the sound alerts are pathetically weak. If you can’t hear an alarm or timer, what’s the point, especially if you need it to wake up or to notify you of a important doctor’s appointment. Per other reviews I’ve read, it has been a known issue for some time and one that Apple appears not to be concerned with resolving. For anyone who is considering the purchase of an iPad as a replacement for a laptop, don’t do it! You will almost certainly regret it as I surely have. The iPad iOS has substantial and glaring shortcomings (not to mention unstable behavior), and in its current state, doesn’t come close to replacing the performance and versatility of a Mac laptop. iPad Pros are obscenely overpriced media consumption toys, not work or task oriented, and the price points for them and their keyboard cases are virtually criminal.

Much needed feature
I’ve used this App for many years now. I can’t live without my daily alarms bec of being just plain busy and being a care-giver for many years. Your customers would welcome a feature that eliminates the annoying fact of completing a daily task earlier than expected, only to have that alarm go off anyway! I don’t mind it when I’m by myself. It’s the people around me who get annoyed esp if I need the volume loud! Now this happens often everyday. Say I completed an alarm to “take morning meds everyday at 9am” earlier than expected at 7am just once that week. I wish I could just silence it for just that day. I can’t just slide the alarm button off. I’ll forget to turn it back on! So people around me end up having to hear alarms I don’t need during that day if I completed my task early. Hope there’s a way to fix that to make mine and the people around me hear one less alarm go off! KkYes…I have that many alarms from 7a-12a! Thank you for years of keeping my world in order!

Outdated. Nearly cost me my job
This app hasn’t changed in what feels like years. As of late, both my girlfriend and I have noticed (once we wake up late) that our alarms are “going off” but are completely silent. This has led to either or both of us being late to work; the worst was when I had set multiple alarms for a day I was supposed to get up at 06:00 for my 07:30 shift and I didn’t wake up until 11:00 because my alarms, I assume, canceled each other out and rang completely silently. I never write reviews because I find a way to just cope or replace the thing driving me insane but I’ve had this problem before (it only recently with the iOS 16 update started happening almost regularly) and Apple is a multibillion dollar business, you can afford a little investigation into your clock app instead of worrying about what minute feature you’re going to change on the last model of iPhone to release the “new and improved” one. And don’t even ask if my ringer is on/off/turned up all the way etc I am part of the generation that was born glued to a screen I know a thing or two about operating technology. This app is terrible and desperately needs a refresh.

You’re tracking my sleep?
I had to wake up at a certain time so turned the alarm clock on, and surprise, the recent update had changed everything. The alarm was now in the health app. I had to set a sleep/wake schedule and when I tried the new ringtones I couldn’t hear them very well. I set it for the loudest available, but I didn’t hear the alarm. I checked the app and it turned out it tracked my sleep, noting that I had been up to use the bathroom and another time I simply woke for a minute and then went back to sleep. I didn’t give permission for my sleep to be tracked. I’m 70 years old and don’t need to be told to get 8 hours of sleep per night, I’ve been sleeping fine without apple’s tracking me for a very long time. I don’t need to know how long I was in the bathroom and neither does Apple. I don’t give permission to have my sleep data collected. I’m partially deaf and need a loud alarm, not these soft little tones that apparently someone thinks are okay. This update should be reversed. It’s just a real intrusive and ineffective app now. I won’t use it again and am considering getting rid of this phone in favor of a less “smart” spy phone this seems to have become.

Alarm mostly useless
I’ve had iPhones since revision S4, and always had a good, dependable alarm as part of the clock app. Over the last year and a half, the alarm would come on loud, then immediately reduce the volume to minimum which, to say the least is almost inaudible. Hitting the snooze button, sometimes it will go to moderate volume; other times it would remain at minimum volume. I am hard of hearing, and cannot hear the alarm go off when the volume minimizes. Also, I could care less about the World Clock because I don’t travel out of the country, yet every time I touch the app, the world clock is the first thing I see. I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t travel outside the country. There should be a way to delete it, but there is none. As for the alarm volume, I keep hoping a fix will come in one of the phone updates. Judging from the dates on these negative reviews, along with no response from Apple, makes it pretty clear that they don’t bother to read these reviews. The Lock app will remain on my phone for now because of the timers. As soon as I find a good, dependable app, the Apple clock app will go bye-bye.

An Alarm App that doesn’t make noise
I have been late for work, taken naps for way longer than I wanted, forgotten about events, etc because about 90% of the time the alarms don’t make noise. I’ve tried all the suggestions I found online but nothing changes it. It was a problem on my last 2 iPhones as well, but at least with them it was around 50/50 if the alarm made noise or not. I specifically say “made noise” because my alarms still go off, they just are a notification that makes no sound. This morning for example I set my alarm for 9am, and woke up at 10am to the sound of receiving a text. When I looked at my phone on the top it showed my alarm going off since 9am and it was snoozed multiple times, and when it did go off there was no noise or vibration. I’m not just snoozing it in my sleep, I don’t do that kinda stuff and even if I did, my phone is about 8 feet away from my bed so I can’t reach it in my sleep. I feel like “clock” should be one of the most basic apps to put on a device and this one doesn’t work. It hasn’t worked for years. Id highly suggest downloading another app or using an alarm clock.

Clock Alarm, Where Did You Go?!!!
This is another reason I’m getting rid of my iPhone. I can Never depend on this clock or alarm to work any longer! I’m lucky if the alarm setting even shows up on the screen. There’s No Sound on the alarm anymore! Except, that is, for times I don’t have the alarm set! It just seems to go off randomly now. I open the app to check if I set an alarm for a reason, but nope, no time set for the annoying random alarm. This is ridiculous. I now have to ask my husband to set his alarm for me. I also use the calendar alert for my alarm clock I’ve tried everything and still can’t get this alarm to work anymore. There have been too many important appointments I’ve missed or have been very late for. Now, I lose sleep worrying that I’ll oversleep. Like today. I’m up two hours earlier because- you guessed it- my alarm didn’t go off again! Sometimes it doesn’t even show up on the screen until I open the app. Then, it shows it went off and is in snooze. Of course, with no sound to alert me. iPhone and Apple are gong downhill instead of improving their technology. Bye bye, Apple Products.

Glitch in the software
Within the past 2 months or so, I’ve noticed my songs that I have downloaded and selected (and used for years prior, mind you) will no longer play for my alarms. Instead, the default alarm is the only thing that will sound, and to wake up at 6:45 AM to that jarring noise is very off putting. I’ve noticed that some songs that I’ve downloaded recently will play, but these are not all the songs I want to be woken up by. I even tried calling the Apple helpline and they basically had me jerry-rig my phone with every version of the ol’ “unplug it and plug it back in” method and it did nothing. I’ve mentioned to them that this sounds like a software issue and I’m not sure that they reported it to Apple HQ. But over 1,000 people have had this same exact issue for about 2 or 3 updates now. As a Junior college student, this is crucial to my day to day routine and it needs to be fixed ASAP! Also, the “snooze” and “stop” buttons are there for decoration. Because the alarm is just going to snooze itself regardless of what button you push

Didn’t know a clock app could be lacking in features until now
I like the look and feel of the app and it’s widgets, but it feels like it’s lacking some basic features. A bigger clock display for a single time zone would be nice for when I want to have a larger clock with seconds in view. My current built in options are the Lock Screen clock, which doesn’t include seconds; or the clock widget, which shows the sort of clock I’d like, but is smaller than I’d prefer for a sort of idle viewing. A screen spanning view and a single clock widget that was double the size would be an appreciated feature. I was also surprised to learn that the app doesn’t allow for multiple timers or stopwatches at once and the ability to attach a label to such. The former especially would be a desirable feature. I’m using multiple timers at once in the kitchen, for example, and as it stands I have to use a separate device with that ability. It’s nice to have a separate device for that, I suppose, but I’d rather have the choice than be required. I get that these are features that are likely available with a third party app, but these strike me as some particularly basic features to be missing out on in a built in clock app. The app remains serviceable for what functions it has, but I’d much rather use this app and only this app instead of supplementing basic functionality with additional third party apps.

Not sure why all the bad reviews… 🤷🏻‍♀️
So I get that seeing the world clock first upon opening is a bit annoying. You’re ONE tap away from the alarm section though. One tap. I haven’t had any issues with alarms not going off, and I’ve been able to set my own 30 second song clips to use via using the Garage Band app to import a song clip and transfer it to my Apple ringtones. The songs are more than loud enough. I love that I can set multiple alarms and name then separate things, and they always go off (like clockwork, lol) without fail. I admit that it would be nice to be able to set one alarm for a specific date but you can use the calendar notification for those types of occasions. Overall I’m very happy with the app, though if this changes in the future I will come and update my review. (Oh and for reference, I’m using an iPhone XR.)

Please consider these changes
I’ve been using this clock app for forever. There are two features I wish were changed, though. 1. I wish we were able to customize the order of the icons (world clock, alarm, etc) on the bottom of the app. I almost never use world clock and it auto defaults to the first thing that pops up when you open the app. I would like to be able to move alarm clock to the first spot and arrange the rest how I see fit. 2. I typically use the timer feature when I’m cooking and I keep the app open during that time so I can keep an eye on how long I have left on something. When the timer goes off, it shows up on the top of your screen as a pop up. I think it would be better to just tap my screen to cancel the timer when the app is open instead of having to swipe down on the notification and then clicking stop. These are definitely first world problems, but it would make the app even more enjoyable. Update: Still feel this way. Aggravating.

Lacking in basic functions
It’s a simple alarm, clock, timer app that performs well. But it lacks basic functionality like adjustable snooze (only has a single default 9 minute snooze, seriously!?), and setting alarm for one specific day in the future (your only options are to repeat on a specific day, or on the next occurrence of that time, never just once next Tuesday at 4). Basic customization that almost every alarm app has and Apple fails at. There’s also a bug where if one alarm is going off and another one goes off while the first is still playing, it cancels the first alarm! Rendering the app useless. If the alarm goes off and you accidentally open the app it cancels the alarm. But the buttons for opening/snooze/cancel are so close together on the banner that is incredibly easy to hit the wrong one.

Amazing!!
I don’t know why the other reviews I’ve seen for this app are so bad, but this app is great! You can set timers, alarms, stopwatches, AND see what time it is in other places around the world! I think that’s very helpful because my Aunt lives in Nee Zealand, and so I sometimes want to know what time it is there. Anyway, there’s also another feature not everyone notices. Whenever I look at the clock app without going into it, it already shows me the time of the day! I might not be making sense, but try getting this app and and then once you get it, look at it on your home screen and it will show the same time as it is that day. Also, you can change the sound of your alarms or timers! I highly recommend this app it is so helpful. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh yeah, also you can name your timers! This app is so organized!

Doesn’t go off
I’ve had several occasions where my alarms just simply don’t go off in the morning. At first, I thought maybe I was sleeping through them. But then I was up when the alarm was supposed to go off and it did not go off on several occasions. It just decides when it wants to work or not sometimes it will go sometimes it will go off, but it will be a very low volume. And sometimes it will go off, and I literally will hear it, and it shut itself off. And this is if it decides to go off AT ALL. I have updated my phone, reset all of my settings, deleted any unnecessary apps and hopes that maybe it was a glitch or complication from another app, NOTHING has worked. I’m about to just go out and buy an alarm clock and probably get a new phone that isn’t an iPhone because these are not the only issues I’ve had with this thing. Apple is gone downhill in the past couple of years. The software in general has been super glitchy. I cannot in good conscience. Recommend their products anymore.

feature needed
I didn't really use this app very much, but when I got into speedcubing, I started using it to time my solves because I haven't gotten a real cubing timer. It works fine. It doesn't go to three decimal places, which I would like to be an option, but that isn't my main problem. My main problem with the stopwatch feature is that you can't start and stop it by pressing the space bar. I have had too many solves to count where I would have gotten a PR, but didn't, because I missed the little red "stop" button three times in a row. I would greatly appreciate the ability to start and stop with the space bar, and I bet I'm not the only one that wants this feature. If accuracy is needed, it is a lot easier and faster to slam the space bar than to try to tap a circle on the screen.

Unfortunately no longer can trust the alarm to go off
I am not sure what happened, this app always worked fine and I never had to worry. Something happened a bit ago, and also to my husband’s iPhone, and it seems other people here in the reviews also have had this issue..the alarm just doesn’t always ring anymore? I used to be able to put my phone on silent and not worry, this alarm still went off in the morning, but now the alarm doesn’t ring and I am anxious at night worrying it won’t go off. I am finally at the point of after submitting this review, I will be heading to download a different alarm app since apparently I need a back up since this one can no longer be trusted to be reliable unless I leave the ringer on. Which can disturb my sleep if I receive other notifications and messages. Whatever happened, it didn’t used to be like this. Hope it goes back to how it used to be.

Unfortunately… Deleting today
It’s been a long time coming, been using the app since the dawn of the phone, however today is the day I gotta pull the plug. I’m so so so tired of having an unreliable alarm. There’s times where I will set 3-5 at a time just to make sure I don’t miss it, and my phone stays under my book btw… AND THE ALARM WILL JUST SKIP OR NOT GO OFF AT ALL! I’ve even waited one time for it to just go off in front of my eyes and it didn’t. I’m missing an alarm at least 2-4 times a month, and it’s made me miss waking up for work, burning food, late to meetings, etc. I wish a simple app could have a simple solution and just make noise at a given time that I’ve set, but no, it’s just too much for this app to handle I guess. Overall, easy to use app, but the most simplest and unreliable platform for it actually working… sorry Apple :( I tried to be patient but this is such a simple thing going on, and the guys behind the scenes haven’t made any changes to it actually working normal.

Glitchy and So Unreliable
I’ve been using iPhones for years now and have never had a problem with the alarms until recently. I recently got the iPhone 15 with iOS 17 and two times now in the last 2-3 months, my alarm hasn’t gone off or goes off and then shuts off by itself. It has caused me to miss appointments and be late to work. I thought the first time was a fluke or I just slept through it. But when I set it last night for work, I absolutely know it was set, I woke up an hour after I was supposed to be to work with a little alarm bell on my screen and no sound. I tested it and set it again to go off just a couple minutes later, it went off and then shut off by itself. That confirmed to me that there’s some kind of bug that needs fixing! There’s Reddit threads talking about this very thing and people having problems with it not going off at all, or shutting itself off. Please fix this Apple!! Until then, third party app it is I guess.

I don't even write reviews but Apple deserves a lower rating
This is mostly the only alarm I've used and while it's mostly worked pretty well (except like when I slept through it due to the snooze being terrible and missed two out of three major exams and ended up dropping a class) lately it has worked about 15% of the time. I like using the snooze button, I don't need a complicated alarm that forces me out of bed, but I want to know that every time I press snooze it will ring again in a set time, and will KEEP ringing until I snooze or stop it. I also want to know that I won't accidentally look at it the wrong way and cause it to stop instead of snoozing. But instead it shuts off after ten minutes (I don't like it to be loud enough to disturb others) so more often than I would like I'll sleep through that period and it just gives up instead of trying again or continuing until it wakes me up. Garbage app, don't use it for anything remotely important.

Love it! Use it literally everyday if my life.
College would be a nightmare if I didn’t have this apps alarms, so easy to use and so simple. But I do wish I had the ability to group my alarms. I wake up at different times on different days and then have a series of alarms to do a series of things so I can get to work on time. Having the ability to group all of my alarms would make my life even easier so that when I turn my weekend alarms off because I work every other weekend I can hit one button instead of literally six. It would be like a folder of alarms labeled “weekend” inside a folder labeled “alarms” like a computer allows you to organize the documents in one folder I to multiple smaller folders within the main folder.

Alarms On This App Are Flawed
I’ve only ever used this app for setting my alarms, but I’m really sick of the Alarms feature. Last night I set an alarm for 9 am so I could go to a golf tee time. I woke up at 11 because that alarm never went off. After looking into it further, I found that the alarm was set for “weekends” and would never go off on a weekday, thus making it completely invalid for when I wanted it to go off. I’ve missed at least 10 events with my friends purely because my alarm won’t go off because it doesn’t specify when it’s going off. There should be a feature that shows how long it is going to be before that alarm goes off specifically to avoid this issue. I’m really just annoyed that for the second straight week my alarms have cost me fifty dollars in golf fees.

Not a Great Accessibility Tool
I’ve seen a lot of comments on here and online about people setting multiple alarms and then getting confused and have difficulty distinguishing between alarms. Thought I would throw my two cents in. As a neurodivergent individual I use many alarms to remind me of different things and assist in transitions throughout the day. However, looking at 30+ alarms is super overwhelming when you can’t categorize them in any way other than how you maybe title them. I’ve tried a few other alarm apps that gave me the ability to categorize my alarms, but Apple limits the amount of notifications an app can have, I have to have my notification sounds on, and they usually don’t communicate with my Apple Watch. I think this app could use some new updates to especially the alarm function that would make it a better tool for all individuals who use it.

Alarm Appears to Deafen Itself???
Recently on their newest iPhone with their latest iOS update the alarms from the standard clock app which have always worked for me in the past have started just not sounding off anymore. I wake up in the mornings to when the alarm should be sounding but instead hear nothing. The constant sound helps me pull myself fully awake but the alarm seems to just deafen itself now on its own before I’ve even touched it. Thus I’ve been prone to falling back asleep in the mornings instead of getting out of bed. What is the point of an alarm that turns itself off!! Who asked for that?? Do you guys know what alarms are even for ?!! As of right now Aug. 2024 do not use this app as a method to wake up for anything meaningful you have in the mornings. It’s totally unreliable and Apple should fix it if this is unintended. If it is intended someone needs to be fired bc you’re going to get your users fired being late to work !!

Snooze button
I really don’t appreciate how I am unable to set the amount of time that I can snooze for. It is unorganized and inefficient to set an absurd amount of alarms or have to snooze for an unadjustable 9 minutes every time I wake up. I have noticed this problem since I’ve gotten an iPhone in 2019 and I am still frustrated about this feature to this day. I constantly complain about the unnecessary process in which to snooze and have yet to understand why something so simple and helpful hasn’t been fixed. It would be much better to have customizable snooze settings. Also now that the clock allows for Apple Music to be set as alarm sounds it should allow for me to be able to select the section of the song I would like to play, as well as allow this same feature for ringtones. These small but important features that I use daily would greatly change my outlook on Apple products for the more positive.

Has Stopped Working Recently?
I’ve used the Apple alarm clock since I got my first iPhone in 2008. I’ve had some issues in the past, but never like this. For about the last month, I will set my alarm and it doesn’t make any sound. It doesn’t happen every single day either, put probably like 2-3 x per week. It shows on the screen that the alarm is going off, but there is no sound so I haven’t been waking up on time. I keep my phone on silent and I always have for years but I’ve never had this issue. While the ringer is off, the volume level is up high so if the alarm did go off correctly, I would hear it. I’ve tried everything suggested online and nothing has worked. I have the iPhone 12 Pro and all the software is up to date. It looks like I’m going to have to go buy a separate alarm clock or download an entirely different app for the alarm purposes. I am frustrated and disappointed.

Overall meets my needs
I would love to see the ability to have alarms in a group where you could use them and move them out of the way in a group/bunch. Example: on work days I have severe alarms. Get up, get ready, make lunch, gather supplies, etc. When I take a week off, I’d like to turn the group/bunch off instead of each one individually. This also leads to less error in accidental alarms or one being left off that should have been on. I have a ton of stored alarms that I turn on when needed but it would be nice to group and close or minimize the unused ones. It’s “time” that the apple clock gets updated. Please don’t change much else. It’s good like it is. Just add don’t take away. 😌

This app has truly gone down hill and fast
For the past year and a half I have been very frustrated with the alarm function on this app. I have been late to countless things because of the alarm glitching and not going off. What happens is, let’s say I set an alarm to get up in the morning, The alarm will not go off at all. All it does is show the alarm screen with the stop button, but there will be no noise no vibration, no nothing to indicate that the alarm is going off. now you may think I’m in silent mode, I’ve completely disabled, all of the silent or focus mode features and sill nothing. I have tried so many things I’ve tried looking it up. I’ve tried reading to see if other people have had a similar problem but I haven’t found anything. I am extremely frustrated because it used to work fine Apple please read all the reviews and bring this app back to what we know and love.

Alarm
Silicon Valley mentality strikes again! Some bubble kid is so scared they are going to die that they had to screw up something as simple as an alarm clock by putting it under the Health app (which I deleted as stupid as stupid gets). I guess this genius team didn’t think that it’s just an alarm that might be for not being late to something but instead they think it’s a beauty rest app and going to make them beautiful! Don’t know about some dumb looking App engineers looking better but they won’t get any smarter as that little brain of theirs was full right after potty training! Yeah, I’m salty as I used to like Apple now with all of these awful changes I’m going to have to find a new phone… and for the love of all that’s holy it won’t be a fanboy crappy iPhone anything. Oh and you guys know that tech jobs are drying up right? Just checking as if your resume has Apple on it then McDonalds might be your only hope!

Frustrated
I’ve use the alarm clock app for years and have loved it. Recently, with an IOS 17.4.1 update my iPhone no longer will make noise with this app. My volume is on, I have the ringtones set. When I do eventually wake up the alarm screen is on but no sounds went off. I am a pumping mom and need these alarms to go off at night in order to pump. I am very frustrated. I have looked at different forums and Apple support and it seems like there are others experiencing the same problem of their alarm(s) not working. It also doesn’t seem like there is a fix. Apple please figure out a way to make the alarms work again. Not sure why they stopped working in the first place, seems like a pretty simple thing to have work with the technology we have today!

Ok…
So I like it and has used this app a lot but there are some things I don’t like. So In world clock i love seeing other places time but the thing is only famous places like New York and Hong Kong. Like I wanted to put in Monowi which is the smallest village ever with one person but I can’t because it isn’t that known. Also you can only do one timer at a time and I think that there should be a way to set multiple timers at once. Also there should be a way to group alarms cause I think that would be cool. Things that I do like are the fact you see other clocks around the world. Also the different jingles that you can have for the timer. But still I think they should change a decent amount of things that’s why I gave it 4 stars.

Love to use it for when to wake up for school
I like this app because it gets me up to wake up for school and I like how you can change the sound so like if it’s just not loud enough you can choose a better sound and you can also leave your alarms so you can be organized Kinda but I read the five star because it has good quality and if you need to go to bed at a certain time you can just set a timer for the time you need to be in bed I do not know why other people are reading it bad but those are really old reviews but I’m saying that it’s a five star because it gets me up in the morning and it does not cost me any problems good job Apple .)

Unable to continue to use this app
I have used this app as my alarm since I got my first iPhone in 2014. In the last few years, I started sleeping through my alarms. I just thought I developed a new problem where I couldn’t wake up to my alarms anymore. I would wake up 2 hours late to find that my alarm was still “going off”, and offering me to snooze it, without making any sound or buzzing. I thought I slept through it so long that it just stopped. But a few days ago, I woke up immediately to my alarm set for 5 am. Before I fully got up to turn it off (I put it across the room so I couldn’t just turn it off in my sleep), it silenced itself. I thought maybe it had been going off a while, but when I saw the screen, it still said 5:00 am. So the alarm silenced itself within one minute of going off. Big bummer. I’ve been late to a lot of things because of this alarm.

Great app, please add ability to update timer dynamically
I’ve used this app for many years and I am a big fan. Currently, I use the timer feature to set the duration of “time out” for my kids. This works great, because they can watch both the digital read out, as well as the analog chord around the circle to gauge how much longer it will be until their time is up. However, it would be so much better if as the timer was running, one could update it dynamically to add or subtract time. The natural interface would be to allow the user to trace around the circle in the clockwise direction to subtract time, and in the counter clockwise direction to add time. Thanks for your consideration of this app update and keep up the good work!

alarms that never go off
I have used this app the majority of my life and never found any problem with it. Until recently, not a single time in the last two weeks have my alarms gone off, leaving me to wake up incredibly late every single day. Thank god my lectures are later in the day but still, it is so annoying that every morning I wake up and it is hours later than I was planning on getting up, all because the alarms I’ve set didn’t go off. I’ve been troubleshooting the problem for two weeks but I cannot figure out what’s wrong. The times are correct, my ringer is on, my focus status allows for alarms, I’m not connected to any Bluetooth devices…. I don’t have a clue why they aren’t going off. Even the one on my Apple Watch has stopped working. Im so frustrated with the apps that I cannot express it.

Dated and too basic
Who knew basic and simple could be bad… Why can’t we have a way to set the snooze to different times already? Why cant there be a way to announce the time when the alarm goes off? Example Siri can say like “It’s 7:35 am” then after a 5 minute snooze she’ll announce “it’s 7:40am, wake up” Also why cant there be a way to “check all” on the repeat time so I don’t have to select every day when I add a new alarm? And while this could be a option on the alarm it could also be a option for the phones setting, a way to prevent you from taking a screen shot of the lock screen like when the alarm is about to go off/ is going off, upon trying to wake up I’ll occasionally somehow take a screen shot when the alarm is going off trying to turn it off. It gets so irritating. Apple, please add these basic things that all your other competitors have already and have had for years. I would use another app, but I hate that it seems the majority of decent apps have gone to a yearly subscription to get rid of the ads… for a alarm app… and only benefit of some of them is to gain basic features that this app doesn’t have but should as everyone else already has. It’s honestly almost enough to make me stop using a iPhone because of how sad it is.

Recent timers - make them go away
The recent timers “feature” makes no sense. The whole point of the timer widget is to make it very quick and easy to set a timer of a random duration. Now, after I set a timer, instead of seeing the larger easy to read countdown I see a confusing list of other times that I don’t want. So I have to click again on the little row at the top with the timer I actually want, so I can see the countdown thing. What is the point of having the list of recent timers come up AFTER I already started a timer? At the point where I am setting a timer, I would have to scroll down through the list of recent timers to see if the one I want is in there. That takes longer than just setting the timer I want. Please at least make it an option to turn off recent timers!

Didn’t turn on today
I missed an early morning appointment because my alarm did not turn on. I checked the phone the clock works fine the alarm was set to on was still on at 7:40 AM and no sound was made. I checked the sound turn the volume up nothing, turn the ringer on and the alarm started sounding. The ringer should not have to be on in order for the alarm to sound. So I turned the ringer back off set another alarm for one minute later the alarm sounded the volume is very low. So low that I could not really hear it. Try to adjust the volume higher but then the alarm turned off. Try this three more times. Each other time the alarm was very loud for the split second that it went off and then went to the very low volume and self adjusted to the lowest volume by itself. I’ve never had this problem before so maybe this app needs an update? Not happy.

Thanks for making late for work
I’ve been using the clock app to happily wake up for the past decade. I truly believed I was getting to the point of struggling to react to alarms in the morning. I found out that after the ios15 updates, a variety of iOS users have experienced similar issues with the clock app that I’ve been experiencing. This includes alarms not going off, alarms that are turned off still ringing at their set times, volume decreased on alarms when I have it set to the highest via settings, alarms within 5 minutes of the each other sometimes do not sound, and literally having to adjust settings to turn off Standby (which was auto installed and turned on) and attention aware features to ensure that my alarms are working. I’ve resorted to using a classic bedside alarm. I’m very disappointed by the lack of care for your systems and apps such as this.

Alarm Won’t Go Off
I have had this happen multiple times now where my alarm won’t go off. I have it set for 6:00 AM, not PM, and I have the volume turned all the way up as well and it does not go off and I have important things going on. So I installed a separate alarm clock app and that one has gone off every time except if your battery gets too low which can happen from time to time, that one won’t go off. So frustrating. Apple needs to get it together and fix this because people have things going on and they need to have a reliable alarm that will actually go off every single time no matter what. In my opinion, the alarm clock app is one of the most important apps on your phone and if that’s not working, that makes Apple iPhones, which by the way, you have to pay top dollar, a lot of money for those things, absolute trash in my opinion.
