Do not use this app. This app is ridiculous. They lock you out after your 30 day trial without giving you any warning of what the monthly subscription is going to be. We have over 60 projects locked away that we cannot get to and we cannot invoice because the app forces you into a screen that gives you the option to pay $110 or log out. This is a whole month of projects that I cannot get to and I cannot invoice. It would make more sense and way more reasonable to just not allow you to make any more projects or take any more pictures not just lock all of your work behind a wall. If I paid this stupid subscription, I would end up paying $1320 a year. I could just have someone spend a few hours developing a simple app for invoices for that same amount of money. That’s ridiculous. I hope they reach out and resolve this issue so that I can pay all of the hard-working people who worked on these projects.
I’ve been using Company Cam since the beginning of it. I met one of he founders of this company at a Roofing trade show 7-9 years ago and tried it, been using it ever since. As a building contractor it’s a must have tool for any size company. No matter if inspecting to showing work progress to needing to show why additional costs arose from unforeseen circumstances you encounter in the renovation process pictures pay as well as build trust between you and your client. It also puts all the pictures in one spot so your not frantically scrolling through pictures you took weeks or month's earlier. Highly suggest using this product.
I downloaded it and quickly realized it wasn’t what I was looking for, I then deleted it and moved along. Since then I continue to get harassed with text messages and emails, even after I’ve told them I’m not interested in their product. It’s been a week or so since I’ve heard from them, and thought it was over, nope got a email from them again today! I responded that I’ve let them know several times that I’m not interested in their product, their response was “well we’ve removed you from our list”! That’s great and all, but why hasn’t it been removed the first several times that I asked for them to stop? Moral of the story, don’t give them any of your information unless you want them to continuously harass you!!!!!! I can’t tell you if their product is worth anything or not, as it was not what I was looking for and got away from it quickly, but obviously not quick enough!!
Are you a contractor then this app is for you for only $34 dollars a user you save yourself a major headache, time, and money they have perfected reporting on job sites, taking pictures on job sites, expenses on job sites and relaying information on job sites, which is the most important thing. This is the most efficient app I’ve ever seen and they thought of everything if i was be able to give this app a 10 out of 10 I would it’s affordable and they have AI tools coming up soon daily report, expense logs are going to get even easier to do. Don’t work harder work smarter, and that phrase is the essence of this app.
3 months in to using company cam for my business, and it has completely taken over. I disregarded this app for about 2 years now and I finally pulled the trigger. It’s features are amazing when it comes to home remodeling to-do lists. And a place to store all of my images. However be warned, the app is amazing but it is very slow at times and can be very frustrating to use. But customer support is great and honestly had to battle through some annoying bugs that slowed me up but they corrected it and it’s too useful of an app to not use.
I’ve been having a problem with the app lately. When I visit a job for the first time I take pictures but do not create a new project in company cam. Then when the customer accepts the proposal, I create a project in CC, and I used to be able to pull photos off my device, but not anymore. Now it seems that the only way I can get pictures into company cam is by creating a project, and taking the pictures while I have the app open. For what I do, it is a lot of work to create a new project for every sales call I go on, considering my closure rate is only 40%. In the past I could take a picture, but then if the customer approved the project three months later, I could simply add from my device. And finding the pictures was easy when I search by date. I don’t know what happened, but I don’t like it.
This app takes the organization game for contractors to the next level. My absolute favorite feature is when I'm at a client's house and I'm ready to take pics, I open the app and my client is right there when I open the app. No typing in the first 3 letters or anything like that. It helps with job tracking and progress. I hope they're working on a client portal for job progress updates that the client can tap into mid project. Maybe it's there and I haven't found it yet. Overall, I love this app and won't use anything else from here on.
Best thing to happen to restoration documentation ever. Makes documenting and labeling the easiest part of the job. Before and after feature is amazing for people than enjoy the after shots. Features that allow you to creat and beautiful time stamped document with photos notes and even videos that can be sent through email to adjusters! Oh yea and customer service is next level, personal regular emails and if you need help figuring out how to share photos they will contact you back immediately no computers or automated responses. The future is bright with this!
Beware of purchasing and buying this app. It is $400 a year after the first year promotion ends. The major problem I’m having with it is that when I upload photos to it they will purposely neuter the image down to an unusable file size and resolution. They are trying to force you into downloading the pictures using the app. The problem with this is that the app is glitchy and will not work if you’re not near reception. Also if a customer send you photos you cannot add it to their file using high res. They make them 600x600 or so which is laughable. Steer clear. Just use the photo album option on your phone or use the JobNimbus app if that’s what you’re using for your company. Better resolution photos and you’re already paying for it
This is an amazing tool, however, the app’s functionality is frustrating. Using the app reminds me of using the Internet back in the dial up days. It’s very slow and often freezes up for several seconds. They are continually improving the app, but there is nothing quick about it. It is just too slow and inefficient far too often. I end up still putting a bunch of photos on my phone gallery because I know I can open up, and go through all the photos quickly while I’m on the go. CompanyCam requires a lot of patience unfortunately. The idea is awesome, just wish they improve how the app functions somehow
Since I have to take several videos of large properties and then organize them later, I never know which video is which, as they cannot be titled. Instead it will just have a random shot of a portion of the video as a clue and there seems to be no way to sort the order Secondly, when working outside the little white band that is supposed to be showing you where recording is hard to see in the sunlight so you never know if you are actually recording or not, and sometimes find out later that you have not recorded what you thought you recorded so then you have to revisit the site.
I was introduced to Company Cam’s platform by a previous employer and immediately loved everything about it. I have recently been able to implement this into the company I now work for, and it’s the missing tool from our projects! It’s easy to use for any user, you can share live links with your customers or subs, create reports with annotations, monitor projects from an office, and more. Their customer service is top notch, 10/10 recommend if your project management you need Company Cam.
I really enjoyed Company Cam before their updates in 2021. They made the reports interface very unfriendly. Used to be able to click on images and have high resolution photos shared with customers. The reports numbering covers up the photo in the report. The PDF and online images in the reports are a pain. I've given feedback before and they said they would work on it but it hasn't gotten better since about a year ago that they made the updates.
This is a must have app! We have over 100 employees and would not be able to survive without this. It saves storage on our phones and time uploading. If we are out of service, the app stores the pictures and uploads when service is restored automatically!! It works easily with the other applications we use as well. Customer service is on point and have not had any issues getting any questions answered. Definitely affordable and worthwhile.
Our construction company has been using Company Cam for the past 4-5 years now and it has made a world of difference. To be able to communicate flawlessly between 35+ employees is not something that is easy to do. Our subcontractors love it too. Little Story: I was at a Home and Design Show recently and I ran into a vendor that we had worked together on a project about 3 years ago. They asked about the project and I was able to pull up the job in no less than a minute and show them the work they helped us complete. Really amazing work these people do. 3 things about these app 1. Holds us accountable to each other and our customers 2. Their customer service is amazing 3. They are always finding new ways to help the construction community
Not only is the functionality of CompanyCam great, but it’s user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. I love that you can draw and point to things, create before/after images, and add different stickers to your projects. I recommend CompanyCam to every contractor I talk to. If you don’t have it already or are stuck in your ways with your current photo set up you should seriously reconsider!
This is the most bug ridden app I have ever used. Close your phone while having company cam open? Well forget about using it again or taking a picture without completely closing the app and searching up the job and re taking pictures. It freezes randomly all the time as well. It also will decide not to load anything at random times, and it’s not my data because that works with everything else. It’s the app, I’m reading some of these reviews and they have to be fake, great idea for an app but holy moly I love being 40ft in the air and having to take a picture of something and the app is just frozen.
If you’re considering this app, don’t bother until they fix it. They did a major overhaul, and it is buggy as can be. It’s pretty much unusable. I am on an iPhone 12 promax with the latest updates and software. I run a construction company and use CompanyCam for project managers, Salesman, and Supplements teams. These changes are pretty standard. When a company starts to get some traction they get a bunch of know-it-alls in a room that try to improve these things, but they always make them worse. Literally every time so it’s no surprise to me nevertheless, if this isn’t fixed in the next update, I am going to move to a different product.

Great place to keep job photos organized. I’m a Roofer. I keep track of all my past and current repair jobs, full roof replacements, and roof inspections. It’s easy to quickly see when photos were taken, upload photos instantly or even months later from your phone and the app keeps everything in chronological order. You can make pdf photo reports via the web portal. Hopefully soon from mobile phones. Send photos links of selected photos to customers and sub contractors. You can annotate on the photos you share as well. I subscribe to the pro version to take 30sec saved videos. Which comes in handy when sharing inspection thoughts and recommendations to my customers remotely. There are lots of other team features but I’m solo. It’s great for me.
This app is FIRE! It has helped us run our business at such a higher level and enables our people to work more in sync as a team. Having the ability to get photo updates in real time from in house people and sub contractors on projects helps us have real time over site on our projects. I love how easy it is to use and how well it all works!
We have been using CompanyCam for two years now, and initially it was an amazing place to track our progress at jobs and boost our social media presence with before during and after photos. It wasn’t long before we started, realizing the full potential of CompanyCam. it’s now used to plan projects track progress issue, checklists and works as a great accountability app.
For my application (little play on words) as a construction field inspector, this app really fits my need. I take a lot of pictures in completing my inspection assignments and the app provides a customizable format for the assembly. Moreover, rearranging the pictures for proper sequence is very easy. There are many tools in this app that I can tweak, adjust, and add additional verbiage to enhance my presentations. So, what ever you use this type of app for... you can’t go wrong. While the app overall has some good features and can be very useful in the field. After I realized they sold information such as your company email address and name. I will not be using this app or recommending it to anyone. I set up a brand new organization email specifically for the use of this app. The email has never been used anywhere else nor has an email ever been sent from it. And somehow I am emailed by name from a Fleet company wishing to reduce my fuel costs. There is no other way this company could of found this email. Considering it only exists for the sole purpose of this application.
This really is a game changer. Our company benefited immediately from CompanyCam. We started taking more pictures, having better documentation, and better communication from the office to the field. Sharing pictures from CompanyCam to someone else is extremely easy and helpful. The app is intuitive and easy to use. If you are in construction you need to try this.
If you aren’t using CompanyCam then you are years behind! Now why would you want to be years behind everyone else!?!? Stop thinking and just download it already! Be the best like the rest of us using CompanyCam and you won’t have to worry about being average!!! Company Cam is hands down the best tool we have at our construction company. With so many project managers out quoting so many jobs there’s no way we could keep everything straight and organized without it! It is a MUST HAVE for any business that relies on any type of documentation to run smoothly! 10/10 would recommend.
The app work amazingly. A couple things that I would like to be better is the clarity of the “Scan Documents” and the ability to upload photos and documents while not having the app open. Sometimes I forget that it can’t upload anything when it’s not open. I even have background refresh on on the app
I really like the app, everything seems to work very well and is well thought out! One thing that I have not seen is digital graph paper… When I’m out on the job I’d like it if I could draw out how big the roof is that I’m on. Where I could see how all of my measurements coordinate with the roof that I’m measuring.
As a self employed service plumber, this app is gold. By having each job with a geo-tag. I am able to immediately access information about jobs I may not have been too in months. I use this app everyday and it has completely changed my processes for the better.
Overall the app is good. Has quite a few bugs though. Trying to zoom in on others photos and it won’t let you or does something your not trying to do. Also it would be awesome if you could get notifications for certain people that you select when they post a photo. Would make checking others work much easier. Please add something like that.
I downloaded this so I didn’t have hundreds of pictures on my phone. Googled if they had a free version and they have a free trial. Tried it but once the free version is over you have no access to any of your photos. The problem is when you download the “modified” version of the photos they are way to blurry and are impossible to use. If Company cam offered a free version even with ads and fixed the modified download quality I would re download the app
We use this tool everyday! It is so easy to refer too and a great way to document installations and appliance info. When we send other techs to complete a job they can look at Company Cam and see what is needed. My sales teams uses this and techs have a great reference before heading out to job.
Our roofing company has multiple salespeople as well as service techs. We do not want to give them access to each other's files. The only way to allow them access is to manually assign the file, but then the functionality is restricted to only adding pictures. The report functionality is restricted. If I'm paying for another user, that user should have complete functionality. Does not integrate well with JobNimbus as the assigned sales rep does not carry over to Companycam. Very frustrating!!
Good app for ur company but needs more work. The app is great while everything is running fine but will glitch and make u refresh the app after u refresh all photos u we’re trying to upload will throw an error and will not upload forcing u to have to save the photos on ur phone which defeats the purpose of this app. Looking forward to some software updates to help with this problem especially since it has a paid premium.
A slight learning curve but very nice app. I would like to see being able to search for nearby projects in order of how close they are. When I browse nearby projects it doesn’t show them in order of how close they are to me. Other than that I love the app and use it daily for work.
Used to love this app until app functionality deteriorated into extremely long lags. Photos often don't upload period and end up in 'upload status' page, but don't automatically load when you re-enter a good service area or even Wifi. You have to manually click each pending photo in order to upload. Spoke to support and they suggested deleting and re-installing. Zero effect. This app has gone to trash and I'm deleting it permanently today.

App seems awesome to share photos. Unlimited storage is awesome. However I have a bunch of part time people and contractors or even consultants that I would love to use this app for if I send them out to look at a job. However at $20 a user it is not practical since some users may only use it once a month wish there just was a per photo fee or something. We set up a NAS that people upload to for a lot less or just send pics through email.
I had asked them several times. They need a field in the customer info section for the contractor to put the homeowners phone number and email address The address line is great I can look up the job Then tap the address line which then goes directly to my maps But it’s frustrating that there is no place to place the phone number that when I tap the number it should make the call I presently store the homeowners phone number in notes on their app and then I have to copy and paste it this is not cool I’m hoping this post makes them change
We use Company Cam for all of our team and haven’t found a better application to be able to keep track of photo documentation on our projects. With over 100 people on staff it makes operations a lot more fluid and manageable!
Have been using the app for a little over a year and a half now. It has good picture taking capabilities and project feed works well. A few enhancements could better it but over all pretty satisfied. Our crews are in cellular remote situations and we have problems with the pictures feeding up to the cloud every once in a while but works great!
I use it almost every day: both helping clients to understand a problem and for after the work is done to show amazing “before and after” images that are built into the system. Keep up the good work guys.
