Wow, for a simplified flight planner, this app is AMAZING. The graphical overview of icing and turbulence is something I’ve not seen in full featured flight planners. Being able to set personal minimums and seeing it graphically is unmatched by any flight planner I have tried. I could go on and on about the benefits of this app but no need to. There is a learning curve to discovering the gems described above and once you find it and getting it, the app probably will land on your home page. It also has a pretty comprehensive setup page for both minimums and aircraft performance. To get the most of this app, you must take the time to set this up. Since I fly to LIFR minimums, in order for the charts generated to be accurate, you absolutely have to go through settings for your minimums or else the charts will be overly warning you of conditions that are actually above your minimum limits (I.E. 500 foot ceilings would be incorrectly flagged as a red square since I go down to ILS minimums) This last paragraph mostly applies to pilots that fly in actual IMC or have high “no go” wind limits. The app is perfect for both IFR and VFR pilots.
