I had been struggling with this app to update furnace for a couple of days and was unsuccessful. I tried all the resets, reloads, power on/off the unit could handle. I tried on iOS 13 and 14 with no success. The app worked a little on some tasks and settings, but was unable to perform the requested update to furnace. I tried to do the same thing with App from Google Store on tablet and it worked perfectly. I now have an updated furnace with much more feature function.
Anybody with an iPhone trying to connect to their new Amana or Goodman units can forget about this app working! Just installed a brand new communicating system in my home and there were five of us in the hallway with iOS devices trying to sync these units and there’s absolutely nothing on the screen! Looks like I have to set up this unit via the push buttons. Y’all need to figure this out, Goodman, and give us iOS users something we could really use instead of a worthless interface that does absolutely nothing.🤬
As others. This app is just not happening or working as an Apple product user. Deleted it and downloaded it again just to try anything to get it to work. Get to the log in page and it just keeps circling “synching” left the phone by the furnace for 30 min. just to check it again with the same “synching” still displayed. Tried to find the furnace manually in the bluetooth settings as well on the phone and a tablet still unable to connect.
I hate this app, whoever decided that requiring it for service/install doesn’t work in the field. You are over-complicating a system that used to work perfectly fine. I’ve serviced hundreds of units with the dip switch boards and never had an issue. If it’s not broke, don’t “fix” it. And the three little buttons you can use to program the board? It takes longer, time is money, stop wasting it.
Just make a plug in!!! Can never connect the app to an Amana furnace, we can install the system in one day and then spend three days trying to update it. Don’t worry, your new A/C won’t work till it’s updated! Just get a different brand and fire your tech support, can’t get a hold of anyone there.
The app doesn’t work. It doesn’t connect and if it ever randomly does work it loses connection immediately. I’m inches away from the furnace so it’s pretty sad that it won’t work. Fix it and it would be okay.
HVAC Companies should be informed that this app is needed to start up a new furnace. The app and all the infield downloads added several hours to the job. Customer and tech not happy! Installing company has to incur the expense of additional time on job. Gave a 1 star to have this review recorded.
The app won’t download any of the updates for doing start up. No one has time time sit and wait for an hour or longer for an update. It’s pretty annoying.
Good Will read and configure unit Bad Scan QR for updates non functional Scan does not turn on flashlight to scan Software updates will not work Phone app requires login (Understand restricting access, but is it?) Glossary should not be needed if industry standard wording used
My less than 1-year old air conditioner stopped working, most likely because of a firmware issue. You have to use this app to update it, but it fails every time. My service tech and I have tried multiple devices - iOS and Android and we either get a failure to update or the app crashes (Android). Worse yet, I’ve submitted technical questions through their website (which is their stock response to bad reviews here) and have not received any response despite it not being days later. And no, it’s not in my junk mail folder.
Don’t forget your password or your username. If you do good luck recovering it. Me and my company enjoy wasting two hours in a customers house to commission a new system because I can’t get on the app to set parameters Is absolutely asinine.Good luck getting a timely response back from their customer service or finding a phone number to talk to somebody and technical support. I can’t wait till Amana drops this piece of ___ app.
iOS version keeps on crashing on the furnace setting page regardless of the iOS version. The last furnace update is the problem. Android version work fine. I tried to contact support to submit the problem but they would not listen as I am not a contractor thus I’m stupid.
I loaded this app to use with the newer Goodman/Amanda units and could not even register due to the app constantly crashing when trying to enter my data. It would freeze up at the username and password fields and take about 30 seconds to unfreeze. Then when I typed information it would not even show up in text field. They need to work on the bugs in this app. Where was this developed? China!?
Terrible app logging in you have to change your password because it says "incorrect username or password" then go to change it and it closes the app all together this has been happening 9/10 times for telling us dealers that this app is supposed to streamline the process for us it's making us back pedal the process!!!
As of 6/10/2020 the App does not send a confirmation code to your phone. This prevents you from registering a new user/account or using the forgot password feature. Unable to service units at this point. Failure.
I have a new Goodman system. GSX165481 CAPF4961C6 GMVC80805CN Currently the AC does not communicate with the CoolCloudHAC. Is it possible for this model to communicate?
Overall, this is a great app. I could clear fault history for my Amana AC condenser but not the furnace. The furnace is amvc96100 and app only allows me to see the faults but not clear them. What makes this worse is that the faults don't show a date time so I can't tell when a fault occurred. Did it happen recently or was it from 2 years ago?
The CoolCloud HVAC application allows contractors to connect and communicate wirelessly via Bluetooth with Goodman and Amana premium air handler and furnace control boards. This provides a more efficient means for servicing and maintaining equipment, making configuration adjustments, gaining equipment status, performing diagnostics, viewing fault code history and ultimately simplifying the technician’s ability to ensure energy-efficiency and reliable performance.
