Just downloaded this app to start using on my iPad that I have situated next to me at all times at my desk. There are a few first impression improvements I would make right off the bat. 1) Optimization for iPad users: the text, icons, and input fields are very small on iPad - the Submit - Save - New Line buttons in the bottom right corner are tiny and I accidentally tap submit when trying to save. 2) Optimization for iPad: I use an Apple Magic Keyboard attachment for my iPad that has a trackpad - for some reason or another, the app doesn’t allow me to click anything using the trackpad/cursor, I have to use my finger for everything. 3) Scroll Wheel for time selection: Allow users to type in the type directly instead of using the scroll wheel selector, or better yet, allow both input methods. 4) An autosave feature. I find myself closing out of the app (which is easy to do on iOS devices unintentionally) without saving and have to reenter time.
The app itself is fine, I’ve never had any issues with it. I wish you were able to view your payroll information on the app. Because of password changing policies I can never remember what mine is to log in on my browser to see, I would rather be able to use Face ID to log in easily to see pay information.
Crazy number of steps required to add a photo of a receipt to an entry. Once I have taken or selected a photo, I should be able to just say “use and save”. One step. Add the additional options as an option - but it is crazy to go through approving the photo, naming the photo, and multiple more steps. This should not be so hard - over and over and over!!! Project number should also be a default in the search if it is already used in an expense account. Again - wasted time and effort searching through a massive database with way too many hits when the information is in the previous entry.
Deltek VP’s OCR is pretty decent, but it does not match the expense lines to a credit card import worth a flip. Also, you lose work a lot of time if your phone suspends in the middle of editing certain pages because every entry has to be saved or submitted. Seems like other systems, like expensify or concur, integrate between mobile app and desktop a little better. Permissions for approvals and certain screen accesses are not the same between mobile and desktop. The UI is pretty intuitive overall, but there just seem to be a few glitchy functions.
Absolutely trash software. It crashes all the time, it won’t allow you to save expense reports despite hours of work put into one, if you don’t finish it or you disconnect from the internet it will wipe all of your work away. My company has used this for years and I beg them all the time to switch. GARAGE software, if you are thinking of using this for your business do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
I think some companies may not get this configured correctly. Once correct it works great and I can do my time and expenses from anywhere. Helps drive user adoption and timely time sheets
There are too many problems with this app to write them all out here. I’d be happier if it just worked all the time and I was able to get access to open it.
This is way too complicated for what it is. I work hard at work and I shouldn’t have to work harder just to enter my timesheet. Also, black letters on a gray background seems like a poor choice. It shouldn’t have to be said that this makes it difficult to read.
The app re-downloaded after a period of non-use. After re-entering all my log-in information, it wanted me to again set a pin. Unfortunately, only 1-6 show as options— no 7-0 nor a back button to correct an error nor submit.
Our company migrated to Vantagpoint from Deltek Vision after 12-15 years of use. Both programs are the least intuitive software programs I’ve ever used in 40 years of business. If your company is in the market for a counterpoint solution, I suggest ANYTHING else.
This is no better than the earlier Time & Expense app. It’s literally the worst app I’ve ever used, bar none. Don’t even try to use it. Make sure you have access to the actual program on a PC or you’ll waste a lot of time and it still won’t work.
This app must be the least intuitive system ever put on line. You have to be one of the developers to know how to use it. Adding drop down next step information would be extremely helpful OR highlighting in a color what the next step is.
Picks the most inconvenient times to glitch e.g. 01:30 hrs when you are trying to input your hours before the long weekend. Then it works for a couple weeks. Then Heltek on Earth again. Almost but not-quite entirely UNfool-proof. Must I give a star? Grudgingly.
This app is trash!!!! Constantly crashes, doesn’t work as intended and is always buggy. Unfortunately my multi million dollar company uses this and I would never even consider it. Stay away!!!!!!!
As confirmed by the large number of negative reviews and my personal experience, the app is really gross from a UI perspective. It seems as if instead of doing much about it, the developer just makes sure to engage with each review. Likely thinking “well ive reached out to see what can be improved…” If the developer doesn’t see or experience what is fundamentally an issue with the UI then leaning on the users to point out the problems to the developer is yet another sign of how much a mess this whole situation is. I’ve worked on teams of interns that are able to produce an app that has a better interface than this. This app seems like it was a bunch of database developers that paid someone’s nephew 20$/hr to build an app on top of their database system. And they constantly just fixed each issue in a linear fashion. Never actually spending any time on the experience as a whole. I’m convinced that their thoughts are “well it seems to work in most if not all test cases, therefore we have a good app”. And that folks is why it’s a terrible app. It is possible to get most things done in the app. But the experience of getting them done is painful and gross. The sad reality is they probably paid a significant amount or have actual developers building this app only to end up with this 🤲🏿 Folks. Spending any time and effort looking for a better app will yeild positive results. Do what you can to not use this system and their software. There are so many better options out there. I get the feeling Deltek remains in business due to companies being locked into their system and simply don’t want to deal with the headache of transitioning to a new system.
Requires me to delete app then reinstall on a daily basis. Also, selecting hours with the scrolling bar requires that you select on hour less than your hours in order to record the correct number. In other words, you need to scroll and highlight 7 hours for it to record 8. Very annoying
App logs you out after signing in and then doesn’t recognize log in after opening the app again forcing you to log in again. May others have the same issue. Fix this please.
When logging in on the mobile app, an error pops up stating “there was response from the server, Need to refresh application.” The only way to fix this is to delete the app and login again and again.
Every time I open the app it tells me I can't use the app from a jailbroken device. That's great information to know and all but my phone is not jailbroken (yes, I'm sure it is not) so maybe let me use the app? Yikes, what a disaster...
