Inaccessible buttons when pulling down on View Bill
If you click on View Bill, you can see your bill but when you go to pull down to view Print or Download buttons, you can't see them once the screen bounces back (moves upward), so thus they're not clickable. No one can access the buttons thus they're unusable.
I set up autopay to pay my bill, the app said everything was set up correctly, my account was entered without issue, and I stopped worrying about my bill knowing autopay would take care of it on time. Later come to find the app did not autopay my bill, resulting in it being past due and potentially subjecting me to a late fee. I got no error message or notification from the app that the autopayment was somehow not working for my account, but it still had not paid the bill over 24 hours past the due date. If I actually get a late fee because the DLC app told me autopay would was successful and then did not give me any kind of error message or anything telling me that it didn't work, I will be incredibly frustrated with this app.
Power outage due to maintenance and we were not notified again !!!!
For 2 weeks Duquesne light has been “updating” through a 2nd party contractor. We were told it was going to be a week and we would be notified of every outage and the duration - we have received NO WARING OR ESTIMATE OF OUTAGE ON THE HOTTEST DAYS OF RHE SUMMER. Our power has been out for EIGHT STRAIGHT HOURS !!!! We have pets, we have groceries, we have people here. No one even had the courtesy to knock on our door to give us warning and it’s 86 degrees in our house. It’s amazing that when your power bill is past due that Duquesne light has no problem emailing, calling and sending you late fees - but when they decide to take your power off FOR 8 STRAIGHT HOURS there is NO COMMUNICATION OR COMPENSATION.
The “usage” button used to take you to a screen that gave your kWh daily over the past 10 or 14 days, I believe (it was typically two days behind for some reason). Now it takes you to their mobile website where you have to navigate yourself to find the usage. Not very helpful when I have to drill through menus to find the account's usage and it is not presented in a user friendly manner. The squished bar graph that you have to page through to see each day’s usage isn’t helpful.
I was having issues with logging into my account app since getting a new phone. I had to call in today to confirm the email on file. The representative was very helpful and resolved issue with me on the phone. It was nice to have someone walk through it rather than just send you on your own to so it. Good job DLC!!!!
I had previously uninstalled the old DLC app and was looking forward to the new and improved app. It will accept my user name but keeps stating an error in creating a password. I was to receive an email to help me create a new one but alas... nothing! Can you advise on this matter??
When it works, it works pretty well. Nice to be able to check info and pay from almost anywhere. But! Site/app are frequently down. Not sure what causes this, but it doesn’t seem right that a utility company is as hard to reach online or by phone. I’m sure most of the time it’s up but, when I try to log on, I am frequently told that the site/app are unavailable at this time.
I recently used the DLC app and was extremely disappointed with the payment feature. The UI was confusing and hard to navigate, and it took me multiple attempts to successfully make a payment. The layout was cluttered and there were too many steps involved in the process. I found myself constantly having to backtrack and start over, which was frustrating and time-consuming. Additionally, there seemed to be technical issues with the payment feature, as it frequently froze or gave error messages. I even had to close the app and start over a few times. Overall, the payment UI on the DLC app is terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone. The app would benefit greatly from a redesign of this feature to make it more user-friendly and reliable.
Password reset doesn’t work. Customer service is god awful . Apparently the techs don’t talk to the end user . I have to call back and talk to the same customer representatives and keep reiterating I can’t pay through the app. I used to have a work around they would text everytime the bill was due now that stopped all the sudden as well . I’m not a reviewer but this is my experience I hope your experience is exponentially better .
I used the old app for over a year. It was GREAT. I deleted it as instructed from Duquesne Light email and installed “this” new app. I cannot log in to use it. My password is correct because I can log into the Duquesne Light Website. PLEASE FIX THIS APP so I can convieniently pay my bill.
This is literally the greatest app I have ever used. Especially in relation to Duquesne Light related matters. They say lightning doesn’t strike in the same place twice. I disagree because I feel electric every time I open this app. Nothing energizes me more than using this app.
This was NOT even a severe storm! Some lightning, thunder a a bit of rain and wind! Perhaps the issues are lack of proper care & maintenance. Customers are suffering because there is no alternative to Duquesne Light!
I’ve called them once so that IT Could fix the app, but when I tried registering again the next day it still said error and declined my registry. How am I supposed to use this app if IT can’t even fix the issue? All of my information is correct and followed directions. Idk what else to do. Would be nice to pay my bills on the app, but I guess I can’t even do that.
I would only wish all my utilities had an application for my phone like this one. Most don’t even have an application. Great thought, planning, design, and implementation by the DL WEB Team!
I choose to use a credit card in order to NOT have my bank information saved on this sight, yet when I came in yesterday to make my payment (it was not available for payment) so I tried again today and now I am late, but its still not available. BTW…I use it every month on my computer, but this was the first time I used your app and I won’t do it again.
I like everything about this app and I also like Duquesne Light. People are always complaining when the power goes out but they get us up and running pretty quickly. Life happens. Get over it.
The app has a number of dead ends, inactive buttons, and broken workflows. Paying a bill works, but most other things don’t. My bill details don’t load, the password reset experience gives no feedback, and sometimes buttons are disabled for unclear reasons without remedy. Quality control of this app is astonishingly lacking.
The app is decent, but the usage data is not correct. First of all, there are 2 values listed for each date, and secondly, neither of those are correct. They don’t match up with the usage data on the website.
I’ve gone thru, paid my bill, got my confirmation #, & I never get a confirmation email then received a bill for two months because the previous month never went through. The app has just done this again & I’d like to wait a day to make sure it doesn’t take my money & I accidentally pay twice. I will go back to the website to pay.
Not particularly well designed. Some features are dumb. So if you pay your bill right away, you will continue to get reminders to pay your bill, despite the fact you already got a payment acknowledgement…. We need to program computers to be stupid???
Still doesn’t work. I can’t even get to the log in screen. All it says is an error has occurred. Dumb app i wish I could give this 0 stars I don’t know why theres 2 apps. The one i been using for years doesn’t work anymore so I downloaded this one and this still doesn’t work. The website is crap to use on both computer and mobile device. Fix all of this nonsense. F -
I’m VERYAnnoyed because two times now I try to make a payment on the same bill. This second time that I try to make the payment is now due to the fact that my bill is past due because the app didn’t acknowledge my previous payment weeks in advance of my bills due date. I’m sick of this crap Duquesne Light makes way too much money for this to keep happening... fix your app!!!!
This app never works as it should. It never recognizes my account. I call to reset it and as I thought my login credentials were exactly what I was typing. FIX THIS APP ITS HORRIBLE.
No way to email customer service. Then you need to call and are on hold for 1-2 hrs. So many people coming to house trying to change service supplier providers and is predatory. Don’t answer your doors.
It’s okay for what it does, but what it lacks is the ability to pay my bill with Apple Pay. I can pay all my monthly bills using Apple Pay, this is the only one I can’t and it’s frustrating.
The app is slow and not user friendly. It’s just as bad and Duquesne Light’s website, which also is never working properly. It’s not that hard to ensure your technology is effective and efficient. You should really do more trouble shooting before you encourage people to engage with your app and/or website.
I’ve reported multiple times that the app won’t accept my payments or show outages in my neighbourhood on the map. I have to go online to the full site to make payments and call about outages. What’s the point of having an app if I can’t do those things on it?
App is difficult to navigate. With more than one property can only show the mailing address property usage. Not clear how to show usage for others, even when I select other account.
Can see that I’ve paid my bills that’s about it. When you click to get details on anything it opens a webpage in the app. The web page is either totally blank or doesn’t load completely. This app should not exist.
The app is good but the usage graphs are hard to read. There’s a lot of smashed orange bars for a few days on the left and a lot of empty space on the right.
This app is horrible. I check my status every day to see when I owe. Every day is shows as nothing owed. But then when there is an amount owed, it shows as past due. How can I have a past due amount when it always shows as zero owed? Poorly managed app!
