Edit: They fixed the app! Thank you for actually listening! I purchased this app a few years ago. Since the update I have lost my purchase. I have tried multiple times to restore the purchase but it won’t work. Avoid this app until it’s fixed or it’s just a money grab.
Currently this is the best Weather App I have been able to find. The old Takeoff App I liked better but has been discontinued. I like how it seems to accurately present Notams. And How it presents the weather in an easy snapshot type view. What could be better. I agree with other reviewers that it should update automatically every 15 to 30 minutes with the option to update with a swipe down for most current weather. It is hard to tell if weather is old because app hasn’t updated or because weather data hasn’t been updated, so I end up updating the app to get the same weather already being reported. Even just an indication of how long it has been since the app has updated would help. Decoded Area Forecasts are hard to read because it is difficult to tell if times are Local time or Zulu times. Would be much easier to read if Local times were shown. Brian CFI
I really like this app but airport information doesn’t seem to get updated. The magnetic headings of my local airport changed years ago but the app still has the old runway numbers. That’s why I only gave it four stars.

Useless to call this app free when you can’t even view one airport to see what is available in the app. Not a good way to even consider deciding whether pro is worth the money since I can’t view what may be available on pro. Your best bet is to get Nav Monster or some other quality app that doesn’t cost anything and you get all you need for a safe flight without a formal briefing. FltPlan is another app where you can get airport data for free and even file a flight plan.
Just getting started with this app and I like the information provided - plenty for my VFR lifestyle ! The one issue I have is using this app on my plane dash mount / home IPad ——— it won’t work in a portrait position on an IPad, only in landscape mode.. it ( the app) would be perfect if I could use it in landscape as the pad is mounted — it DOES - work on an iPhone in landscape .... aaauuuggghhh ! LoL
I only have two airports configured, and they are both major airports in the United States (Texas). Upon app startup, a fetch of current weather data begins. That fetch usually takes several minutes to complete. At this writing, I have a fetch underway that has been running for 8 minutes. That’s far too long.
I agree with others that this is a great app but it doesn't update the information provide. I usually 'kill' the app and then restart it to get new info. A ridiculous method. Swiping down for a refresh would be great.
Every time I open this app the WX data is out of date. Does anyone know how to make it refresh? Hey developers... Using old METARS is a serious safety issue. Update: The developer got back to me on this. They informed me that the data could be updated by swiping down on the screen. Who knew? This is an app for aviation weather. Kind of important to pilots in the air, that the weather reports are accurate and up to date. When a pilot opens the app, the first thing it should do is update the data.
When you are in an airport view and click on another airport, the second airport's info overlays on top of the first so you can't see anything. There’s no way to back out, so you must force close the app and relaunch. I’m still using the free version to see if I like the app, so it may be related to that since you can only see one airport at a time. But it creates a catch 22 because it doesn't work, but I don’t want to spend the money to see if the upgrade fixes it.
Been using this app for a while now, but unfortunately every new attempt to use, shows a message that says “no internet connection” I have tried everything like closing the app, deleting it and downloading it again, but nothing seems to work.-
Was a good app and I enjoyed using it. I purchases the pro version 6-8 months ago, and after recent app upgrades, I’m unable to restore my purchase basically making the app useless. Searched but can’t seem to find a way to contact app developer. Seems like this is a common theme with other recent reviews.
User should not have to manually swipe to update METAR data. It should update hourly when the app is in use. Free version is limited to one saved reporting station so no issue with draining battery as developer brought up in response to other similar reviews.
3 stars for metar and taf data. I paid for the full app so I could get notams withouts constant ads, but the notams don't show up. Would be a great app if I could get the notams too.
Great app. Not sure where to make suggestion, but on map view of saved airports, instead of pins, would be nice to see icons for wx conditions (green-vfr, blue-mvfr etc). Love the app. Great to have quick access to metar and TAF
I find this app to be a really unique app in Design and in the Data it reports to you! I feel if you download this app today you really will not regret it! This to me is a 5 Star App!!!!!!

Was looking for a good weather app. There are several bugs and lots of issues that make me not want to use it. I would buy the full version if it wasn’t for the issues. Unfortunately the issues make it unusable.
Liked the format overall. However, the second I purchased it, the favorites option would not let me store more than one airport. That was the whole point in making the purchase……to save more than one favorite airport.
I can’t get it to refresh, so have to close the app and restart. Need to be careful if app is just minimized and reopened. Old data is bad data for flying.
I’m a student pilot, I love this app so far. This app is simple to use and very detailed. I really like that it decodes the Weather into plain English.
Limited to two airports unless you upgrade and pay for pro version. The two airports I selected have disappeared, but when o try to refresh, the app crashes. If I try to Re-add them, the app reminds me that I am limited to two airports unless I upgrade to pro. As such, the app is useless.
Not practical unless you pay. I had it for about a week and you only get one or two free airports, then you have to go pro to get more. Then it randomly deleted all my airports and said I had no more available to add. Made it completely useless, just staring at a map
I have tried all settings on both the app and the phone but no success. I have no problems with other apps on this or 4 other devices. It seems well conceived but execution is suspect. Just downloaded to primary iPad. Internet was working then
Sure, some good I formation but no key as to what it is telling you about runways with the numbers and markings on the app. Additionally EVERY TIME you log in after any lapse in time the app forgets your saved airports. I bought PRO by mistake,. Big mistake.
Update: developer fixed the bug to restore purchase but still can’t view full metar or taf. Was great. Bought the pro version. Now after updating can’t restore my purchase. Can’t view full metar, cant view taf.
I got the limited version of this app and it will not let me add a single airport after using it once. So that means you have to pay for the pro version if you really want to use this app. There are other aviation WX apps that are free that are better quality.
You can only save 1 airport at a time and if you want to see another air port you need to delete your current marked airport and then look up another one. You can get a google maps satellite view.
I’ve used several different metar/ Asos sites. This is by far the slowest to update for new data. Sometimes doesn’t even update. Definitely find a new one that’s faster.
This app does not have all the airports G Aviators can fly and you can not set perimeters for airports, like runway length. Why this application shows US Andrews Airforce bass? We can not come even close to that airspace. I am at Baybridge airport W29 now and this application can not even show it
Installed and added two airports to try it out. It immediately started to nag for money before I could even begin to evaluate it. Removed (deleated) it in less than a minute after installing.
