Love the app as far as work goes. I like the way it helps you with your route, how easy it is to get jobs. We do have issues with yards being one size but get there and it is twice the size sometimes. Customers don’t realize we are a sub contractor so we don’t get all of the money they are paying. Not only that we have gone to some yards and would say we cancel or paused service but lawn love would still put them on schedule. I have had many complaints for customers about this app.
Apps need to be upgraded and more jobs available for pro
Unbelievable I recommend my friends and regret it they don’t give u allot of order as new starter They send u what the the other pros don’t accept and if u don’t accept it u won’t be able to get anymore orders when u first start signing up they will show u allot of jobs but once you put ur ss number u won’t be getting no order when no one takes on the job they put multiple dates for the same job and count it as 6 because they has six different days for u to choose from I will give them a one star until I start receiving multiple orders and the app gets better I will update my review I have been waiting 3 days without a job if your planning and use them to start your business I would say your better off with some one else
It’s essentially Uber for lawn care. Not a bad way to add to your client base. Whether you’re getting started or just need more work. Short Comings: APP constantly crashes and says it needs to update, but never does. Have to delete and re-download following day for it to work. Does not allow you to adjust pricing. Even if it’s less than you would charge. You either accept the price they give or pass it up. It’s too easy for customers to lie about their yard for service, IE:( size, condition, gate size),no way for you to adjust price, all you can do is complete service or drop the client and lose money and time. If a customer signs up on a Tuesday for service. You will have to service them on Tuesday every time. Or reschedule. (Which effects your performance score). Lawn care is a side hustle for me. I have to constantly change my clients scheduled day due to my main source of income being shift work that rotates.
Does anyone else feel that customers lie about how big their lawns are in order to pay less money? Once a job is accepted you have to mow it or you’ll be penalized even if you show up and realize the lawn is bigger than stated by customer. It’s a good app but beware of shady customers taking advantage.
Very low pay as I spoke to a couple customers and they basically pay double for what you’re getting paid for example, if you get paid 45 the client is paying 80 to 95 so this app takes half of what you could be getting paid on your own. Also, you don’t really have an idea of how big the yard is until you actually get there. It’s an estimate in the app. Also, I had something break at a customers house and a customer does not pay for it nor does the app even if there’s something hitting in the grass and you can’t see it. much better to do everything on your own so you can do direct consumer.
The app takes a huge chunk of your earnings, 25-30% in most cases. The only way to make money is using it to find customers and then converting them to direct bill. The app begs you to have your location on even in the background and it burns through battery *fast* because of it. There’s no way to review past payouts or when your current funds should payout, which is a very poor choice. Basically for an app that thinks it’s Uber for lawns, the only similarity is how much they steal from providers. Lowered my star rating from 2 stars to 1 star because I found out this app is messaging customers things I never said.
This app is littered with people that more work done than they’re willing to pay for. These people properties are a disaster and they want them cleaned up for Pennies! Prices need to be higher. This app is driving the market down. Also, when will there be a feature added to rate customers? I gave a guy a quote on a yard cleanup, he didn’t like the price and wanted to wheel and deal and ultimately put his job back in the queue for a lawn mowing to get his yard cleaned up for Pennies and he doesn’t even have a lawn. Lastly, when will there be a message proved to customers to remove all obstacles or up charge for these things?
Providers are assigned a rating based on number of completed jobs. We had one job where the client sent the crew away claiming he had canceled the service. We are now getting dinged for not completing a job. In addition, the job keeps showing up on our schedule and customer service won’t remove it. Furthermore, this company does not charge competitive rates for the area resulting in providers making next to nothing on each job. Finally, they do not verify the stated lawn size allowing people to grossly underpay, and we’re stuck having to provide the service less we get another poor rating.
NOT a good app at all. Their payouts are WAY too low and their client-base are the cheaper customers looking to pay less for more. Clients are habitual liars about yard size. Many lawns are overgrown when you arrive. But you MUST mow or be FINED money. APP marks up the price way too high and offers the contractors way too little! They are profiting off YOUR HARD WORK. If you enjoy mowing lawns 6+ inches long for 2-3 hours for a total of $35…THIS IS FOR YOU! They rip off an extra $1.50 each job for damage “insurance”, yet there is a $5,000 deductible (means YOU pay the damage costs up to $5k before they cover anything). You’re losing $1.50 every call for THAT coverage??? Customer service is a JOKE. A bunch of kids reading scripts. YOU the contractor get fined for every little thing. This “tier” rating is horrible. If you are low tier, don’t expect to get ANY leads and/or only get the PROBLEM ones (overgrown grass for $35). The app has been DELETED from my life and I’ll never endorse them again.
I was on cutting a lawn and cutt my leg received 7 stitches. I texted the customer letting him know what happened and he said that’s fine to not worry . I was feeling ok so I texted him again saying I will be there to complete the job . Straight from the hospital I went straight back to work . Finished the cutt and when I went to complete job it disappeared. I been trying to dispute for weeks so basically the customer took me getting hurt as a way to get his lawn cutt and not pay . Lawn love still didn’t pay me for the cut
I get decent leads and upsell to increase revenues. Both apps work equally as well. Easy to set up for first timers. I could use a little more control on setting my mowing boundaries and zip codes which was available in earlier versions. Thanks Roger Brock.
This is a great app all in all the only issue I have is customers lie about the size of their lawn and also if we can get something that tells us their property line
I’m on an iPhone 13 full updated . The new update for the app has a bug with my phone . I click complete when finishing a job . The complete button responds to my touch but does not launch anything . Pretty annoying .
The app needs a lot of fixes. Support is very slow. Probably the slowest I’ve ever dealt with. Still trying to get an issue solved that’s been going on for 3 weeks. Half the customers I deal with from the app don’t care for it after their second or third service. For some, it may be ideal for your area. I’ve had more headache than it seems to be worth.
It’s a great app if you don’t care about making less money vs advertising yourself. Obviously the app people have to earn a profit, but 90% of the time it just isn’t worth it as a provider. For example, I can mow my neighbors yards for $60 each, vs driving 20 miles round trip to do an app customer for $32
I have been waiting to get paid since last week they say they pay weekly and I been waiting for 2 weeks to get paid and I contacted support today hoping to get my payment
Lawnloves old app was better , over a week and not one job has posted on this lawnstarter crap , I had lawnstarter and never used it, now I know why. Also has my location shows 500 miles away ! Ridiculous! Bring the old app back !
This are the ugliest yards on the block and the pickiest customers… will complain about everything so you don’t get paid… basically section 8 tenants think everything should be free… you will lose money as a contractor…
I deleted my old account because, of being busy with life. Try making a new one and they wanted me to get a new phone number. This is ridiculous. Support wasn’t no help at all. Very sad
It’s a waste of time and money. You make nothing cause of the lies on the customer end like, property size. And much more that you can’t change. You loose in the end and don’t get paid.
First time trying to pick up lawns one had already been mowed and the next only paid $39 for what I would charge $80. Lost about an hour of time plus fuel.
This app only makes lawn love and the customer happy. The pay for the workers isn’t ideal. It’s to much going on in the app just to cut a yard. This app is in favor of just a customer and the company that’s running the app. 👎🏾
