Hearing aids good, app not so much
Further update: App much improved, but still won’t connect every time or to both consistently. On the positive side, hearing aids passed the Christmas test. In loud, crowded situations I could hear everyone clearly (and easily turn down the volume when things got too loud). Update: After deleting and reinstalling the app, Bluetooth connectivity has improved. Let’s see if it lasts. Bluetooth connection is poor — I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to re-pair them, and half the time it shows only one of the two actually connected. So adjusting with the phone is a chore. Hearing test doesn’t appear to exist for the B2 Bose — you’re just supposed to turn on the TV and fiddle till you find the sound you want. No real way of telling what you might not be hearing. That said, I am hearing better, they’re comfortable, and the sound quality is good. If they would just fix the app this would be 5 stars.

Will not work w/o www!?!
If you’re inside a metal building, or outside in the woods the app will not connect to the HA’s. This is patently ridiculous, since the HA’s connect via BT. Best I can tell, this must’ve been a marketing / data collection -driven “design decision.” Frustrating for this old EE, who often finds himself off-grid… EDIT: I received an email from the hearX group (who evidently read these reviews). It turns out the app WILL connect to the devices w/o a wireless connection; it takes about a minute, which is longer than my patience lasts, evidently. I tested this out in airplane mode and it does indeed work. So, hearX group, I would give you another 7/16th of a star, since I “only” have to miss the first minute of a faint conversation now. 😝

Why do I have to give personal info
Let me start by saying I really like the concept of your over the counter hearing aid product. So when I saw them in the pharmacy I was excited and wanted to check into your app before I purchased your hearing aids however after downloading your app just to take a look at it and see if it’s interface was tolerable to use I got hit with a registration and login that required me to input: first and last name, gender, phone number, birthday and to preform two step authentication. HARD PASS. I just wanted to demo the app BEFORE I make the $800+ decision to purchase your hearing aids. I do not like the information wall (it’s like a pay wall but you are giving your personal information instead of money, the company then has the option of making money by selling your information and since there were no TOS before giving this information I can only go with worst case scenario that you WILL be selling my data. So unfortunately I will not be a customer. I will find my hearing aids at a local audiologist.

Joyous results!
I’ve had my Lexie lumen hearing aids for a little over a year now. Previously I had a $5000 pair that were amazingly similar. However, the performance was not. My Lexi lumens are far superior force so much less dollars. It’s probably the best purchase I’ve ever made in my life, because I have no excellent hearing and it’s made a wonderful change in my life. The versatility of these is amazing. Also, with the ways I can alter my reception based upon environmental situation so I’m in at any one time, I can’t lose! At the same time, after the sale, the support from the Lexie staff is absolutely incredibly amazing and they are there for for you with any need or issue that must be addressed. My hats off to this company because they have not only a winning product, but a winning attitude! I love Lexie!

Remarkable
The Lexie B2 with Bose is an extraordinary bit of technology providing enhanced hearing improvement over older technology. Well worth the expense. There is an error in the user manual however. Page 75 “Replace the wax guards” tells the reader to turn to page 77 however page 77, nor anywhere else could I find directions.

Needs a widget!
Control via the app is fundamental and needs to be easy access. Solution? …. LOCK SCREEN WIDGET! So c’mon guys, that’s not hard to do. (I managed a work around with a third party launcher, but Dev should add I’d get functionality) In other news, it seeems all the Bluetooth issues people complain about have been solved: after 2 weeks of use, I see no problem. BUG REPORT: 3 times now for no reason the app has “self-adjusted” volume down to 10% - no reason for that to happen, that level is not one of my saved environments. Final thoughts: adjustments can’t be made by frequency, just a crude treble/bass, so this may end up as a deal-breaker for me. Of course, what can you expect when you can’t even enter an AUDIOGRAM. Heck, even a $300 pair of iPods allow for that. Sheesh!

Lexie b2
I have had my B2 heading aids for 3 months and they are great!! I haven't had any problem with them or the app. I have no problem with connection to iphone going through the hearing device in settings and not in the Bluetooth settings. I am to the point now I actually forget I am wearing them, really surprised me, I hated wearing hearing protection at work!!! I just don't like setting it up for notifications and calls coming through them but I changed that in settings. Highly recommend these to anyone even thinking about getting any.

It Pays to Learn
I had been watching and waiting for OTC hearing aids to become available, so was happy to begin wearing them while learning. As a special education teacher, I had experience with many aspects of hearing aid use and cochlear implants. I appreciated the very short, sweet, and to the point articles providing information about hearing loss, types of hearing aids, cleaning and maintenance, and trouble-shooting. As you complete the modules and earn points, you can use those points to buy hearing aid supplies. It pays to learn!

Ok app except for one thing…
Please integrate better with iOS face/touch ID. Having to re-enter phone number and password every time you open the app is annoying and very confusing for those who aren’t as phone savvy. I spoke with tech support and they did not have a solution. I was able to store the password in apple’s password vault but it’s still 5+ steps to login to the app. Very happy with the product overall but this one issue has been problematic for family members. They are using a 6s with Touch ID but I tried on my 14pro and it was no different.

App is buggy
Great hearing aids. I was presented with a decision to buy $4500 hearing aids or $1000 hearing. Totally satisfied with my purchase and the 5 star customer support. However, I can not say the same for the app. The app is buggy to say the least. Biggest problem I am having with the app is its telling me to connect my aids to the phone regardless of the fact I have already connected them. Another issues is sometimes it doesn’t recognize the are on and I never get the screen to adjust volume or settings. Suggestion. Improve the app along with all the great things you’re doing and you’re going to do well.

Figured out connecting to BT
I figured out how to connect to Bluetooth consistently! When I turn on the Lexie app, I toggle the volume on one of the hearing aids up and down. This apparently causes the Bluetooth to awaken and connect to both the other hearing aid and the app. I have been able to connect every time since trying this. It is not always very fast, but it is now consistent. Prior, connection was hit and miss. It was very frustrating.

Promising, if the software worked
So my mom ordered these from QVC on a whim. I was very appreciative of the previous reviews because they gave me a sense of what we were in for. As others have said, things reset on their own. While trying to adjust the settings for her, everything reset to factory settings, just two minutes after I had adjusted them successfully. Which made the hearing aids suddenly so uncomfortable she had to take them out immediately. And of course, what they don’t explain during the sales pitch is you really need a smartphone of your own to make the adjustments, which she doesn’t. So based on all of the reviews here, and others complaining of the same issues on other platforms, we’re returning them while she can still get a full refund. I do hope these issues get worked out, because she did seem to be able to tolerate them better than other models she tried. It’s a promising product, but not ready for primetime with less tech-savvy older adults.

App needs help
I really like the hearing aids - fantastic improvement over my 6 year old Signia pair. That said: the app consistently has connectivity issues. I know they are connected to my iPhone (via Accessibility sub menu). Not sure why the app struggles, but to the point of other reviewers, it would be nice to use the app to navigate between environments. I see the app was updated several days ago, but I haven’t seen any improvements. Looking forward to having it repaired sooner than later. It really hinders the user experience for a great pair of hearing aids.

Needs Some Changes to Be More Useful
I am using this with the B1 aids which is a very limited feature set in the app. I wish you could have EQ or other form of control of the audio gram used by the amplifiers. Like many people have stated the Bluetooth connectivity does not work well. I have to stop and restart the app nearly every time for it to recognize one or both aids. A major issue for me is that the app will not start if you have no network connection. This must be fixed if a phone is the only way to control the aids. I am frequently in remote locations with no signal. This is really unacceptable to not allow control without a network. I have talked to Lexie customer service and they acknowledged my feedback. Not sure if they are going to fix some issues sooner than later. Otherwise the B1 aids work well for me in almost all situations.

App
While I like my Lexie hearing aids, I would like them a great deal more if the app worked, but the app is almost worthless. It will not connect 90% of the time. So frustrating. I can never change the settings because of this. And if you don’t have your case with you to restart them, then you’re totally out of luck. Even with the case, they frequently still won’t connect. Lexie needs to drastically improve the connectivity between the aids and the app because otherwise, once you manage to get a setting, you might be stuck with it forever.

Not ready for prime time yet
The app worked fairly well with the B2 hearing aids when I first got the hearing aids about a month ago, except the telephone ring distorting through the earpieces using my iphone SE3. Now the phone ring comes through the phone speaker, and the hearing aid menu under the iphone bluetooth menu no longer shows the hearing aids connected, apparently because of the recent update which made things worse instead of better. Tried a clean reinstall, still not working right. Unfortunate. The charger is not well designed: If you try to use it as a storage box without connecting it to a charging power source, it discharges the hearing aid batteries. A pretty easy and inexpensive fix for a competent design engineer. I had high hopes, but disappointed the Bose company association with Lexie hasn’t had a more impressive effect.

Terrible non existent customer support
There are connectivity issues with Bluetooth. Customer support refuses to help. Only a very rude sales person calls and picks a fight by stating absurdities and lies. Worst customer service ever. No one should buy this product until they fix their support department and stop having a sales person answer the suport line. I think Lexie bit off more than it can chew when it decided to get into Bose hearing aids. My hearing aids are now completely unreliable due to the connectivity issues and they are only a couple of months old. My old pair of Bose worked fine with never a glitch with the Bose hearing app.

Losing patience with the software
The hearing aids are great but the software isn’t. I have a problem losing the settings I select and problems pairing the software with my hearing aids. The only solution appears to be retaking the hearing test and starting over from scratch. I have had to do this twice in one week and it is getting a little old. Lexie really needs to fix their software issues or they will lose customers. Looking at the reviews it seems that many people are having trouble with their software too.

Wires
I’m ordering these wires because the ones that came with my Lexie B2 were too short..Because they were too short the left one had a short from them them coming out my ear and me putting them back in several times a times a day…This actually should be a warranty claim as I had no choice of which wires came with my hearing aids.

Internet Access required
Lexie B2 (Bose): We were at the Segerstrom theater (seats 3,000) for a musical performance. The acoustics can be challenging for the average person. Those of us requiring hearing aids have compounded issues. Internet services in the theater are impossible to access. I opened the app and it got stuck on a white screen. I restarted the hearing aids and my iPhone. Nothing. I never got to the “Environments” in order to select my custom settings. I ended up fiddling with the manual adjustments on the hearing aid, but never got the balance I needed. Now I know if there’s no internet access, like airplanes, I’ll need to wear my more expensive hearing aids. I finally got an error message: Failed to register The app is unable to connect to the server. Please ensure that you have a working internet connection. Cancel Retry

Way better than the $3000 VA hearing aids
My main hearing issue is background noise. The filter settings on Lexi just work. I can finally have a conversation in a restaurant and understand what is being said. The app is easy to use and the setup of the hearing aids takes just a few minutes. Great product and customer service.

Lexie B2
Despite the information on website, Lexie B2 will not connect with Moto g7. Customer service tried, but then I was told that the last software update caused problems with Motorola. Would have been good info to have before I spent 1000 bucks. I don’t think I want to haul my iPad around with me when I want to change settings.

Will not pair in the morning.
Every morning one or the other aids will not pair to my iPhone. Powering off and back on as the app suggests does not work. My work around is to go into settings and “forget” the two devices. Then open the app and they pair properly. This is time consuming and needs to be addressed. Otherwise I love the aids and the app.

Will not stay connected to the Bluetooth/app
We have worked for over a week with Lexie support team, updated the iPhone pro max 14 and reset all settings…. Still this app will not continue to stay connected to these hearing aids. I don’t expect perfection , but I do expect to have the hearing aids power on and then open the app and see the correct screen. We also send one pair back an are trying a second and last pair before leaving this company and buying another OTC hearing aid for my husband On a positive note, the sound quality is great, as good as my prescription aids, when they work they are great… so that is why we truly want this app to work with the IPhone 14 Pro Max ( it’s updated also) Please fix this so we can enjoy hearing again! Thanks

New feature idea
Should have a feature where a person can manually input the audiogram taken at an audiologists office as opposed to testing on your own. Some people may choose to go OTC as opposed to buying prescription aids even after a test.

Hearing aids work well but not the app
I’ve struggled with this app for a few days after receiving the hearing aids. I called support and spent almost an hour trying to get the app to work properly. After our 7th or 8th attempt, resetting the bluetooth, resetting the app, putting the hearing aids back into the charger several times we got it to work. But it later failed. The Lexie app failed to connect to both hearing aids. I’ve given up on the app.

Needs internet to work
I like the app, but discovered out hiking that it stops working if you don’t have cell or WiFi at that moment. Lexie confirmed. Also fails in airplane mode. My Apple earphones just work, as well as cheap phone earbuds. I’d be fine if calibration needed a server, but just volume or mute shouldn’t. So I end up trying to mess with the buttons or not bothering.

Fix this app
The aids are fine and help with hearing. The app stinks! It won’t let me log into rewards with a “You’re not allowed to perform this action” message. , It always says my right aid is not connected when it is and it doesn’t show the percent of charge when the aids are in the charger. If I were #Bose I would be embarrassed to have my name associated with this company. Maybe you guys could find a 16 year old to help you improve the app.

Poor App
App will not stay connected, or only one hearing aid will connect. Constantly have to power off aids and wait several minutes to get them to reconnect. Call customer service and they tell me it is a know problem and they are working on it. Told me someone might call me back on Monday. This is my second set of hearing aids from Lexie. So far I am a very unhappy customer. I have the B2’s and am using an IPhone to connect.

Horrible Connection
For a company that prides itself, and connected with BOSE this is an absolutely horrible app. It takes numerous times to try to connect. OK as hearing aid. LOUSY as blue tooth ear phones
I can not get Lexie to let me link to a device like speakers or my car radio. Whenever I try I get crazy bad streaming jumping back and forth between the hearing aids and the other device I am trying to use. Lexie phone rep explained the only “work around” which was to use Accessibility and dig deep to disable the hearing aid ability to stream. Lexie’s decision to control the hearing aids instead of letting the user access they through listing them on Bluetooth doesn’t work. I hope they upgrade their software to stop screwing with Bluetooth.

Aids won’t help if they won’t pair.
Purchased B1’s and after a day of irritation with trying to keep devices paired, I gave up and sent them back. The left receiver would not stay paired, and that’s my bad ear. Very disappointing because when they did work, they seemed to be exactly what was needed. Judging by previous reviews, this is a known issue. Please fix it.
