However, I do ah e a few grievances I would love to have fixed. The keyboard over your text is annoying in the journal, a password lock in the journal would be nice, (or perhaps add an option for just specific or individual dreams/entries as well), and you should be able to add/remove/edit those “Keywords/Important Points” and “People/Places” things. (Or at least, make it easier to do so, if it’s possible already and I haven’t found it yet.) Also, as it seems you respond to your customer(?)’s reviews, may I ask when the next update will be with all these features you say will be added?
I’ve been having some problems with this app. Sometimes my dream entries will randomly disappear, and I have to rewrite them. This is especially heartbreaking and frustrating for lucid, or otherwise vivid dreams, in which I had initially wrote out a lengthy, enthusiastic, and personal dream journal, only to come back and discover it gone. The ones I replace them with are lacking the personal touch, the raw detail that comes from remembering a fresh dream. I could excuse it if it happened only once, but it’s been a recurring problem. I also have a hard time editing dreams without them either disappearing, doubling my entries, or not being edited at all and ignoring all the notes I added after the fact. Also, nitpick, WILD and DILD stand for wake/dream initiated lucid dreams, not induced. That’s because they’re the result of a technique and not the actual technique themselves. It’s just a little jarring to see such a slip up, and along with the other advice which seems only useful for a newbie, it’s making me rather skeptical to continue using the app. Truthfully, I’ve only been using it for the journaling feature... This app is otherwise good, I love how is records both date and time. Also genre and general regard for the dream. But if it keeps up, I might just need to switch apps, I can’t risk losing any more dream entries. They’re just too valuable, and a re-write just doesn’t cut it for the original piece.
This app is great for all lucid dreamers, from beginners to pros. It provides many step by step simple tutorials for different methods of lucid dreaming, a dream journal with writing and other features, and much more. It is a very simple-looking app and easy to use. The only reason I gave 4 stars (I would give 4.5) is because of some minor changes that would greatly benefit the app. Some of these changes could be adding difficulty levels to all the techniques, or something that determines whether or not a certain technique is good for beginners. I also think the alarm system could be improved. Overall, a great app that you should definitely download if you are looking to lucid dream.
Hello! I have read a few reviews on lucidity, and many of the critical ones revolve around the fact that the alarm does not go off. Recently, I looked deeper into this issue and found that the dilemma about this is that the alarm, if set for a time after 7pm but before 12am, will automatically go off the next day. I came to the conclusion, previously, that the alarms didn’t work because I decided to test them before going to sleep with the alarm being set. When taking a closer, more diligent look in the “i” icon reading in the top right corner of the “touch less alarm” screen, it states that the alarm will be auto set for the next day if it is set from 7pm to 12am. Your welcome to anyone that had any concerns about this aspect of the app!
For 161 days I have been using this as my dream journal, and it’s great. The Interface is easy, and the details you can put in are great. My problem isn’t the Dream Journal, It’s the guides. They’re trash. Especially the MILD and WILD guides. The person who wrote them clearly haven’t read Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge. Aside from the awful technique guides, I had a bit of a problem with data on the Dream Journal. I never lost any dreams, But I always felt anxious about loosing my recorded dreams. Right now, I have 2 suggestions for this if the developer of the app is reading. 1. Fix the Technique Guides. Read MILD from Explore The World of Lucid Dreaming, and read the WILD guide from Mzzkc and rewrite the guides here. The ones here right now, are not good. 2. Add a more easy way to backup your dreams. It’s really annoying right now. Thanks for listening.
Hey as everyone else says they lost their dreams after the update,I unfortunately did too I had been with this app for a whole year now.I really do like the new update it has a lot of great things and I started saving dreams again, just wanted to say thank you for trying your best and I know you care about your customers so keep up the good work, but next time please don’t forget to make sure a there’s a way people can keep their dreams when updating the app. sorry I just had a lot of dreams heh I only remember a couple and they were crazy mostly nightmarish uh just to sum it up I want to say thank you for caring for the customers not many developers care too much for us so yeah keep up the good work.
I really love this app! After only three days of using it and the techniques mentioned on it, I was able to Lucid Dream! Thank you so much! I think for me the most helpful part is actually the reality check reminders. I do think it would be cool if the app had some info on SSILD, that technique has really helped me and I think it could help other people. It would also be cool if we could categorize what technique that we used to try and lucid dream in our dream journal. But it’s cool if not, this app is really awesome already. Thank you so much for this app and all the resources you provided. I read a few reviews, and from your responses, I can tell that you really care about helping people out!
First of all, I'd just like to say that this app has a wonderful design. It's simple and very easy to look at. As far as the actual content of it goes, I'm really impressed! It includes a lot of different lucid dreaming methods and in the FAQ it responds to questions I've been wondering myself, but could never find the answers to elsewhere. It provides tons of information and techniques I hadn't even heard of before installing this app. It also includes a dream journal where you can record your dreams, which comes in handy. Overall this is my favorite app revolving around lucid dreaming. If you're looking for something to aid you in your lucid journey, I recommend this. It's lovely.
The whole idea of this app is amazing. Helping people lucid dream, which I think probably everyone wants to do. Unfortunately, I’ve found the I sleep so deeply that the alarms can not wake me up. Now I know that I could just set a traditional alarm and have to press it to go off, but I think this option would make a really great addition to this app. Also, I think it would make more sense if when you set an alarm, it automatically asks what sound you would like to use. When I first got this app I had no idea where I could change the sound, which got very frustrating. I think people would also like an option to set multiple alarms with different sounds. Apart from that though, I think this is an amazing app for people wanting to explore lucid dreaming.
First off I want to say that this app has been really helpful and I would recommend it to new and experienced lucid dreamers! I love the alarm in the new update and I am so glad that they added HowToLucid’s videos! I have been subscribed to him for a while, so for me this isn’t much of a problem... but when I was rewatching the video about dream recall, the app crashes about a minute in. Sad, I know. So I pulled up another video via the app, and once again, it crashed about a minute in. Curtis App Development, you’re doing great. Good app, good concept. I understand that this is a simple bug and (hopefully) a simple fix. Keep doing what you are doing though!!
I prefer the old version. While the startup animations look sleek and professional they take time and I feel distract from the original purpose of the app. However, the app contains good information and the dream recording set up is very nice, with areas for title, body, and questions, tags, and proper nouns. The most irksome thing is that the update auto installed and I lost all of my dreams. All of them. This makes me very reluctant to continue use when there are other apps for storing dreams that store in the cloud, and won’t be lost in an update. I didn’t even know it was updating until it was done and didn’t get a chance to screenshot or save any of my dreams; only knew once they were gone and I came to the App Store to see what was going on.
Hi!! Okay so I wanted to start off saying that I do a lot of dream work, astral projection, lucid dreaming, & astral travel. It’s very important to me that I document my experiences. I absolutely love this app it’s very simple and easy to use. I like the different categories and the option to make your own. The only thing that I wish y’all had was a way to have an account where you can login on any phone and have your entries all there. This app is my most prized possession and I’d be devastated if I lost my entries. I could screenshot everything but I’d rather have a space that will be fully secured you know? Please please make this happen! 🤞🏾
I have no idea how this happened it could be because my phone is close to being out of storage but besides that I woke up this morning to write down my dreams and literally everything I’ve wrote down the last few months-year was just gone I’m pretty disappointed idk if it was my phone or if it was the app but I do really REALLY recommend having a login feature so I can save my dreams from one phone to another when I got my new phone my old broken phone which is unusable had many dreams on there that I can’t even read or check anymore so I really recommend a way to login and save your dream journal to your specific account.
I’ve been using this app for a couple weeks and so far it works great!! Love all the features— I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in lucid dreaming or having lucid dreams. But there is one problem: I can’t use the dream journal feature anymore because there is always an advertisement blocking the “Save” button, making it impossible to keep adding new dreams (using this app on iPhone, by the way). If you could fix this, I’ll give it 5 stars! Awesome app otherwise 💕
Hello! I just started using this app and making some research into lucid dreaming so I wanted to say that it’s working out well. I like how you can store your dreams quite easily through the dream journal and I’ve been trying to do that more often. However, it would help if the transition from the home page to the journal wouldn’t reveal the entries (I have a password lock on it) and if you can choose to go back from the password keypad to the home page. I hope for some feedback on this in the future. Thank you!
I love this app so much it’s my go to dream journal when I don’t have the energy to write. Unfortunately one day I checked the app and all my dreams were gone 💔 it’s because I restarted my phone and i thought that it would save the data on the app since I have backup... I wish there was maybe an account feature so you can sign up & log in to safely save all your dreams. Thank you for this app but I’m heart broken that all my dreams since 2019 are gone 😭
All I can say is thanks for nothing the app worked fine for about a year and a half used it since about the beginning of 2020 and today... July20 2:19PM/14:19 Got on the app and all my dreams are void just gone and I got on the app a couple times to make sure it wasn’t a glitch but nope I even updated the app and still nothing pops up... guess that’s why they say write your dreams down... thanks a lot for nothing how can a simple app that I thought worked fantastic... turn to utter disappointment and a waste of time 🤦♂️🤷♂️ All I gotta say is I shouldn’t have even trusted it. I had a feeling... Anyways, thanks I guess. Still, much respect. I hope you guys are happy with ya app. 👍 Still gonna rate atleast 3 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️ just because I liked the app... hate to say it but now it’s pointless to use if it’s just gonna delete something with so much detail from some time ago that I can’t remember again. (☹️😐😀)->(☹️) 🤷♂️😒⏰🕰
I am really disappointed with the function of this app. I have it on my iPhone and my iPad. If’s journal entry is put on one device then it cannot transfer to the other device. The alarm feature has never worked. There are no alarm tones to be set. The reminder feature sends a text note. Pick a message and wake up to read, “Are you dreaming?” So that’s useless. I wrote to the developers and haven’t had a response. I just think they went off skateboarding and haven’t the attention span to come back to fix their app. It hasn’t had any updates in the year that I’ve had it.
I loved this app at first. I very rarely remembered my dreams before using it, but after using the dream reminders and journaling each dream I got, I suddenly became a frequent dreamer. That’s why I was very disappointed when my phone automatically offloaded this app. When I re-downloaded it, all my dreams were gone, and I had no way of retrieving them or remembering them. It would have helped if there was a way to back up the dreams. Or store them to the iCloud like the notes app does. Something like that.
Ok so first off, I lost one of my favorite dreams of a flying school bus and a zombie apocalypse. I don’t even know how to get it back, the memory of it is now a blur because of the app being updated. Second, should there be a regeneration button if we lost our dreams that were our favorites? Like, I like the app and all, but losing the dreams is like probably like a mistake for updating the app. My favorite dream is now a blur so I can’t type it 😰😰😰😡😫😫😭😭😭😭 will you please fix it??? I really want to see my dream again
Just used the app for the first time last night and got a lucid dream out of it. I'm an experienced lucid dreamer already, but one thing I'd been missing is a touchless alarm that chimes once and then turns off. The one in this app triggered properly, and I heard the sound in my dream. Also good for waking you up to do a WBTB technique (or whatever you prefer). I'm giving it one star less than five for little issues others have already mentioned. Excited to see where this app goes.
I love this app it's been pretty good so far, however there are a few problems i noticed. for starters you cannot record audio for the dream journal it simply crashes the app, also the wake up timer system is a little weird, making you keep your phone on. other than that i haven't really noticed any bugs or things and it's honestly a really great app.
The app is great I love all the different techniques and it's super easy to navigate. The only fix I think should be made to the dream journal. It gets tough to write in the journal after a certain point because all of the words get hidden under the keyboard. Also when adding pronouns etc. they disappear after I press back. Overall an amazing app just needs its fixes.
This app is so wonderful! The adds aren’t too bad and they’re cheap to get rid of if you want to. They technique instructions in very clear and detailed and I especially love the high quality dream journal feature. I’ve been using Lucidity for about a month and I’ve already had 3 lucid dreams! I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to start lucid dreaming!
This app has many great features for the new and longtime LDers. The reality check reminders are fantastic, the journal is cool and the alarms are great. I am hoping that in the future the alarms can be used like the apple alarm system and that we do not have to keep the screen on the whole time. Also, I would love to be able to have airplane mode on my phone on and still have the alarms work. Thanks for creating the app!
I use this app primarily for dream journaling. The app works pretty well for that. However, there’s a bug(?) that consistently causes ads to appear on the control bar, making it really difficult to hit the save or cancel buttons rather than clicking the ad.
The information on the techniques and the app overall is great, but I can’t use the app for why I originally got it, to use as a touch less alarm. To clarify, when I set my alarms and hit ‘go to sleep’ it says to pick an alarm sound, but there’s no option anywhere to do that?? Any help would be greatly appreciated maybe I’m just missing something? If this gets fixed I’ll change my review to 5 stars.
The biggest point of this app for me was to journal my dreams so I did that and I’ve been doing it for years and they all got deleted so I’m pretty sure I’m gonna be deleting this app. I get really attached to my dreams and now I can’t get them back, that was like a whole year of my dreams gone. All of those memories that I didn’t keep somewhere else. So thanks, I’m really upset that they all got erased & that I’m probably never going to get them back. Next time consider giving out a warning from the app or something b/c I didn’t write them down anywhere but in this app...
First off, I think this is a very neat app. I think anyone who wants to lucid dream should use it. However, there is one slight problem. The ads block the save button that allows me to save and read past dream journals. Because of this I have not been able to record my recent dreams. I don’t mind the app having ads it’s the fact that they prevent me from saving my journals that’s the problem.
Perhaps because I’m using an iPhone 5s (my noghtime/alarm clock/ dream phone) Alarms get set, screen stays on and alarms don’t make sounds. Also clunky that you have to manually select a sound every time you want to set a few alarms through the night. Tried a couple times and the alarms didn’t work so I deleted it. In addition to touch less alarm so you don’t move to turn off alarm.... Looking for an app that might combine flashing lights intermittently through the night to elicit lucid dream recognition through visual consciousness too.
I’m enjoying using the the app mostly for the dream journal as it’s much easier and quicker to record my voice than write in a journal like I used to. But, I have one issue: the ad banners are entirely in the way of the controls at the top when you click on one of your entries. It covers up the edit/save button so it makes the app difficult to use.
I like every aspect of the app besides the alarm. The idea of it is genius but the whole 7pm/midnight rule on the alarm is dumb because i never know when to set the alarm until i’m going to bed, this makes it very hard to do. it isn’t causing any harm if you remove the 7pm-midnight so i suggest you do.
The app works awesome I love it. When i was reading some of the review I think you should make the 7 - midnight thing more noticeable some people don’t read the instructions and they throw there hands up and say it’s broken when it’s really not. App dev takes time and I really love how the app looks and it’s functions thank you Aidan P.
Would give it a three star, but the touchless alarms don’t work. The app isn’t very well made, which I don’t think is a problem at all. The problem is the amount of ads. If your app is going to have ads it should at least be good. The only 2 things this app is good for is the dream journal and the lucid dreaming techniques. One thing I do like about the app is the dream journal lock feature.
I definitely like the app, the reality check reminders, touch free alarm, and dream journal are all good. They could all be improved, though. Specifically: a vibration-only alarm would be nice, I don’t like that the journal passcode automatically is the same as the phone passcode, and the WORST THING— reality checks is BUSTED. I have it set to two hours and I get notifications from 10 to 30 minutes apart. With some work, it would be a great app
In theory I would like this app, however using the touchless alarm it allows me to set the time but I have found no way to set the sound it doesn’t let me use the alarm, additionally I have set the reality checks for every hour but have not encountered any notifications yet.
So I downloaded the app and I wrote this long, detailed entry about this dream I’d had for a considerable amount of time, and then of course I put it into its category and give it a title, but then I wasn’t sure what to do after that? Am I supposed to save it? If so.. how do I do that? If there is something on the top bar, it keeps getting covered up by ads so I don’t see it.
I just recently got the app, and there is so much information on lucid dreaming techniques. It gets into specifics and all the information you on techniques need is in this app. It's really convenient to have it all in one app so you don't have to look it up on the Internet. Great app.
This app is a great concept with all the tools that someone could need for lucid dreaming, but the execution is not there. Ads cover save and back buttons, the keyboard covers what you write, and the overall design is plain and boring. This app would be five stars if the developer team hired a graphic designer or something along those lines.
9 days after downloading this app, I had my first lucid dream. This app doesn’t do everything for you, but it offers great info and helps your mind maintain intention, which is the real key. Combining consistent use of this app with my own research on lucid dreaming brought me success.
I used this every time I had a dream, it was the first thing I would do and I was really proud to see it stacking up. Then when I went to go show my friend the dream I had the night before, my list was completely empty. All of my dreams were gone. All of my thoughts. All of my moods. I’m so sad. It’a good to help categorize dream and record them in a tired fashion. But man losing those dreams was really upsetting. It still is. :(
Good App, but removal of apps aren’t working after payment
I really like the app on how it helps people Lucid dream, but the only problem is that I’ve spent 2 dollars for removal of ads but they still appear. I’ve notice though that you’re a beginner with development (in which that’s fine). I just hope that you can fix the problem. (3.5 out of 5)*
I found out that when I am writing down my dream in my journal, there is an ad covering the save button so I am unable to save the journal even when I report the ad that it is covering content, there’s still a white space covering the button.
My only problem with the app is that the cloud icon covers the first button this is probably just a me problem but I have tried deleting and reinstalling it but it's still in the wrong place. Help please
I set it up to give me a reminder every 1 hour, but whenever these reminders start, they begin to spam me non-stop until I delete and reinstall the app! These keep me up at night, make the guinea pigs in my room stay up making noises too, and annoy me SOO much! They’ll just keep going and going no matter what!
I think this is an amazing app, I mainly use it for the dream journal, and I have a passcode on it. When I click dream journal you can see the entries for about 5 seconds before it takes you to the passcode screen, would be greatly appreciated if this was fixed
The ads just ruin the whole app for me. But the rest of the app is fine.
I’m the type of person who despises ads. Oh wait, EVERYONE DESPISES ADS! If you want to make money, then go ahead and keep the ads. Users would enjoy the app more if at least the pop up ads are removed. At the end of the day, it’s if you care about the money, or the users of this app.
Cool app, but I wish it had a feature where you could directly ask the developer a question
Awesome app. It has really educated me on the subject of lucid dreaming, but I have a few questions that I want to try to ask directly. If this becomes a feature it’s a five star from me
I used to like this app but I’m gonna have to just use my notes or a different dream journal app bc you can’t save dreams any more since there’s an ad banner that covers the save button. definitely didn’t used to be this way bc I was able to write down a dream 2 months ago but now I can’t add any more dreams.
So basically whenever I write in the dream journal and come back to look at what I wrote I find so many typos and other errors. So much so that it’s hard to understand what was going on. Also the app has recently started crashing while recording a dream meaning that I have had to start recording the dream all over again.
