When I very first got this app I was loving it because the map was interactive meaning it showed you where you were in the zoo at all times with the blue dot somehow or another they have updated it and done away with the interactive portion of the map now it’s just a map no different than a paper map hi would you have given at five stars except it no longer shows me where I am inside the zoo please fix this that’s what made this map so great
You can’t zoom in on the map or I’m too stupid to figure it out. Suffice it to say that the standard finger pinch doesn’t work. I’m 54 and my eyesight isn’t the best, so I cannot make out what the pictures are on the map, but if I could zoom in and see more detail, then I could maybe make out what is what and then zoom back out to get my bearings and figure out which way I want to go. Luckily my 10 year old grandson is getting pretty good at reading maps and he’s not having trouble seeing the pictures because he’s 10!
I’ve been obsessed with the Memphis Zoo for months and use my membership a lot! I just found out about this app and now I can say hi to most of the animals by name. The app has lots of names AND how to identify which animal is which. Plus, there’s some more back story and extra facts. Absolutely recommend getting the app to get to know the animals better!
Wish you could search for animals. Has major animal exhibits listed. Only one food location was open and the map did not mark that others were closed. Had to back track 20 minutes for food.
Overall really good! Because of COVID-19, paper maps are unavailable. Since this is the only way to have a map, it’s a really good thing that the zoo did! But, it could include a daily menu for the cafe, and also most of the cameras are not working at the time that I’m posting this. Again, great app, and a great solution to the COVID-19 map problem.
The interactive portion is great. However, you can’t zoom the map. Since the zoo no longer provides paper maps, this is the only option. It’s too small and without enough landmarks if your eyes aren’t super or if you are in the sun, it’s very difficult to use.
Overall it’s a great upgrade from the older version of the app, one thing that would be nice to include along with cafe menus are the hours that each cafe is open/make that bold and very clear.
It’s pretty bare bones and overly simple. How it does glitch the Live Feed. When I say glitch I really mean it doesn’t work. Don’t know why but it’s just stuck buffering. The map adds nothing even though the sample images show dots you can interact with. I guess the event time list works Other than loads of issues the app adds nothing which is sad because it makes our zoo look bad and we have a wonderful zoo Please fix it
The App itself, if you can get it to work when you need it, is useful and helpful. But the bloated software takes ages to load, particularly when you’re actually in the zoo and don’t have WiFi. It can literally take 5 mi items at times to load the app. Functionally it’s worthless if you intend to use it at the zoo.
When the zoo quit giving out maps and switched to an app, they apparently forgot that screens are small. There is no way to enlarge the map in order to be able to view details. For those of us who struggle with small print, it’s a complete waste of iPhone space if the map has no zoom-in capability.
It used to be good, now it crashes before loading.
It won't even finish loading before it crashes. I haven't been able to open it for months. There's no update. I’m not sure what changed, but now it’s useless.
You can’t buy tickets with the ticket link. You also can’t sign in with other your account nor can you link your membership card. These would be necessary improvements.
Can’t log in and make an account that uses your member info. No way to purchase tickets on the app. Completely useless since you can get the schedule/map/info at the gate
New Zoo app is terrible! 1. Text is tiny 2 Map is not zoomsble 3. No geolocation on the map 4. Live cams don’t work 5. Once you get on a cam, there’s no way to get back to the rest of the app 6. The tix tab takes to to a broken link “server not available”
