Very convenient app and appliance.
I got their U A/C and I have to say I love it. My husband and I are thinking of getting 2 more for the house. I love the fact that you can almost completely close your window with this. As for some of the other complaints I’ve read about. I can’t say I agree with them or maybe they got them earlier than I. I’ve had this since the start of summer 2021 and the app and the A/C both have worked amazing for me. That begin said I didn’t connect it to apple home or Alex because the app is just so easy to use on your phone. Also make sure you have string internet connection. Som internet providers do cap you on how many devices you can have connected before your internet slows down. If your problem is your wifi connection make sure you check with your provider to see if you reached you device limit. Remember the cheaper the internet the less devices you can have on there.

Basic functions. Advanced features don’t work
Let’s you turn off and on when you can’t find remotes. Otherwise unreliable. The app keeps logging out every few days because they are sneaking in new terms. God knows what data they are siphoning with such frequent updates. Stuff that doesn’t work; Scheduled turn offs don’t work. Never worked Auto mode is a joke. It keeps running the fan on high and keeps cooling past the set temperatures. Never stop cooling If you set any other mode than auto, you can’t change most of the other settings. It blocks. You. For example, dry mode won’t let you control fan speed. Sleep curve is a joke. It just cools to ice box temperatures When it’s a little hot outside, the unit struggles to cool It keeps switching to Celsius after every update every other week. I stopped bothering to change it back. It’s so annoying with frequent updates to terms. It logs me out every few days. So keep that password handy. Stuff that works: Eco mode is decent and give a a little control from cooling too microbes night when weather gets cooler. Compressor is outside so less noisy. Led can be turned off so it’s not bright at night. World with Google home and Alexa. Overall. It is not as good as it could be. It’s okay. The only thing going for it is the compressor being outside.

I love it, but just some minor things to add
First off, it’s great, easy to use, it explains everything’s all that good stuff, but it wouldn’t let me log on the first time, which might have not been the apps fault, I think it was the wifi, and yes I’m very technical but I couldn’t tell if it was cuz of the wifi being down it messed the app up or if the app already messed up n then wifi went down, be either way, started all over and got exactly what I wanted, just maybe a lil bit better descriptions on what each function does, like the sleep curve, is it activated once I turn the unit on? Or if I have a schedule set? What happens if I don’t have the schedule set at 8 hours? All things need to be answered for a technical person like i am, but really this app is good and the products are amazing! 9.5/10! Easily!

Fantastic AC awful app
Look the AC is the top notch no complains at all! HOWEVER, the app is awful and don’t get me wrong the functions displayed are really good but since I purchased de unit 1 week ago I have had to “reset” the unit because the app can’t seem to talk to the unit! It’s always Offline. I have contacted CS twice and they gave me a very automated (scripted) response. The absolute main reason I went for this particular unit was the connectivity AND that’s the one thing I have issues with. I don’t want to have to reset the unit daily and pair the unit and app every day. CS told me that this issue is due to too many other devices sharing the wifi but now days between laptops, cellphones, alarms or security systems including cameras, most people have tons of devices connected to their WiFi’s if this issue isn’t resolved within Amazon’s returns window i will be returning the unit. FIX THE APP or send new and improved wifi cards idk but plis FIX this. I checked the apps updates and is every 3 months so I will no be waiting three months for it. Again I don’t know if it’s the app or the wifi installed in the unit but this is ridiculous.

Horrible app and customer service
I have had to reinstall my unit each day and still spend time as it sends me error message after error message to just have the unit pop off line halfway through the day not giving me the ability to control my homes temperature with kids and animals in 100 degrees. And I own UNITS! Two!!! But have been told the app can only control one unit at a time. Customer service actually advised me in a serious tone to buy a SECOND phone to download a second app to be able to control both units. They also sent the wrong remote control for one unit. This app is not user friendly, does not maintain connection to the device, cannot control more than one device, and they blame your internet connection when my unit is next to my modem with 800mbps pumping into my house. This app and their customer service is complete trash. Only buy the unit if you want the shape of this air conditioner and you don’t mind controlling it by walking over to it each time there is a change like I’m back in the 1980s with a box television.

App Needs Some Fixing
I have the Midea U Shaped Window AC and the latest update to the app is cool. However, it is missing some features such as the Eco mode, Sound on/off, and Horizontal swing switch. Please add these features back in the app. Thanks for listening and I will update my stars to 5. Sometimes app has log-in failure or failure to read A/C connected to Wi-Fi but that has been a rare occurrence. It happened once about 1 week ago when I could not monitor A/C remotely since it showed disconnected despite Wi-Fi light being turned on on my physical A/C unit. It did fix itself about 60 minutes later. Also app now can’t go below 62 when AC can be set to 60 at its lowest. Please fix as well.

Good dehumidifier but not so good interface with app
I bought the dehumidifier at Sam’s Club for a price less than $200. It seems to be working great and I like the pump feature that empties the collector bin and the Wi-Fi app to control it. My only complaint is that the screen on the app is a lime green and the wording is very small in the lower left hand corner of the screen and is white. This contrast makes it very hard, if not impossible, to read for me. By simply changing the colors of the screen and type you would get 5 stars. Lime green with small white type??? What was your graphic designer/ app designer thinking? Come on… phone screens are MUCH smaller than the computer screen this app was designed on. On my iPhone the type is VERY small, probably 1 to 3 point. White lettering on a bright green background that small??? A simple tweak would fix this….

Second year and it no longer works
I couldn’t be more disappointed with this unit and the app. I bought it in August of 2021. Set it up and used it last year. It kept switching off of the schedule but it would at least cool the room. Set it up yesterday and it started switching off of the schedule but at least it cooled. Today, the compressor just won’t turn on. I’ve tried messing with the schedule, turning it just to straight cooling, lowering the temp, reconnecting the a/c to the app, deleting the app and reinstalling, turning off the a/c for 10 minutes, unplugging the a/c for 10 minutes, nothing works. Every once in a while it sounds like the compressor starts up then immediately it stops. But it’s been on all day set at 60 degrees and the temp in the room remains at 80. For a unit less than two years old and only the second season of use, I couldn’t be more disappointed with this purchase. Based on my personal experience, I would never buy another Midea product again.

If you migrate to new app u’ll beg return to this one
Everyone complaining here about this app and for just turn on and off all of my A/C really does the job. Recently migrate to the new one MSmartHome and really nothing can be worst. Now you wont be able to see in the main screen which A/C is on or off and requires to enter to each one to verify and to do on/off. Just a nightmare in the basics. I should waited till to December 31,2023. Please MIDEA let’s us get back to this app and keep making improvements. I don’t need an integrated junk app for everything smart, i preferred to have 10 different specialized apps that really work for each brand like this one. Midea executives should see the feedback of that MSmartHome. Is just taking back Midea to mediocre when has been top ever since.

So far so good
The app seems pretty solid so far with my dehumidifier. I appreciate there is social login with Apple. For some reason my session is not persisted for very long. If I open the app after a while, I have to both accept the terms and Sign In with Apple again. For an app like this I would expect very long lived sessions. Another bug is that the app pauses any music/audio I am playing when it opens. Seems like it shouldn’t need to interact with the music at all. Also, everyone has a weather app on their phone. For me the weather feature is just noise, and one more thing tracking my location when I would prefer it not to. In terms of controlling the dehumidifier it does everything it says it does, which is good!

Bad app gets worse
The latest app update has dramatically reduced responsiveness and the ability to control the u-shaped window units. The app now takes ~10 seconds to load the state of the ACs, and often fails at controlling them once it does. They clearly don’t have developers in house who are capable of shipping working apps, or a QA team testing any of this, and from support requests, it’s obvious they don’t care about the connected functionality of their devices AT ALL. The screenshots in the App Store don’t actually match what the app looks like when you open it, which in my opinion should have meant it was rejected by Apple. Midea needs to give up on their own software, publish an open API for third party developers, and start supporting HomeKit / Google Home / Alexa. It’s truly the app that is holding back otherwise great hardware, and Midea’s stubborn insistence that they don’t need to integrate with real smart home ecosystems.

Works great
I seen some bad reviews when I was looking to write this review but honestly I haven’t had a problem with the app and I like how quickly the unit responds to the app.. I use it to turn the unit on b4 I get home and I’m able to adjust the temperature or turn the unit off just by grabbing my phone and not having to get out of bed.. I also appreciate the app because I can check to make sure I turned it off when I’m not at home on mornings where I had to rush out because I was running late.. I have nothing bad to say about the unit or the app both work great and at least up to expectations if not past them!!!

Functional but extremely slow and annoyed for such an expensive product
The AC unit itself is great. but the app is so poorly made. my main problems: i use apple sign in, since i set it up that way in the beginning. why do i get signed out so often? like if i dont open the app for 1 day i'm signed out, it's unnecessary. and the error popup makes no sense. it says "the current network is not very good". that cant be true for every single place i'm in, my phone is newer and never has any major network problems in other apps. and why do i have to confirm EVERY TIME i click log in that it cant be used with third party services before continuing to log in???? only once is enough. otherwise its ok but having to constantly log in is very annoying Ironically, i tried to submit this feedback in the app itself and it crashed lol. So hopefully someone sees this and improves it

They made it worse…🤦🏻‍♂️
Didn’t think it was possible but the developers made this app worse. The last version I had worked fairly well for about the first six months, then it would frequently drop the connection and tell me my AC unit was “offline”. The latest version not only adds in dropped connections, but makes initial set up endlessly tedious with failed connection messages. Once it does connect, the lag time between executing a command on my phone and when it actually occurs on the AC unit is nearly endless to the point that the app just times out and doesn’t execute. Either that, or it will execute the commands much later after you’ve tried multiple times to execute. Then it’s as if it’s buffeted the commands in a queue and then suddenly executes them all in a row. Absolute useless piece of junk app. So yes, you actually made it significantly worse. 😡👎

Great controls, little memory
I like our split window air-conditioning unit. It was easy to install, much less of a profile, which is what my wife likes. The app works great, except in one aspect; I constantly have to log back in. If I turn my phone’s WiFi off (I have terrible DSL, thanks Verizon), if I leave the house, if I restart my phone. It doesn’t seem to remember that I agreed to the terms, that I acknowledge that I can’t use this with my Alexa, BUT ONCE I am logged back in it recognizes my unit and away we go. Not like I’m trying to control and air conditioning unit, not an ICBM. Can’t we fix this? I love using the app, it’s a lot easier to use the remote control that came with the unit. It’s just frustrating.

Wifi connection keeps turning off
I purchased two portable ac units: model MAP12S1BWT. The units themselves work great and the remote controls work well. But I bought the units for the smart technology. Both AC’s show up on my app. But only one stays connected. The other disconnects daily and the only way to fix is to unplug the ac and plug back in, then reset my app. I want to be able to turn my ac’s on/off when I’m not home. How can I do this when it keeps going offline. I’ve looked through the manual and all over the internet to see if I can fix it but find nothing except several other reviews stating the same problem. If anyone has any idea how to fix this I’d love to know. And like I said- one ac stays on, the other doesn’t. The one that doesn’t is the first one I hooked up. Thought maybe I set it up wrong but I’ve tried deleting it off the app and starting over but still have the same problem.

Quite a few things to improve
To be clear, this review is EXCLUSIVELY about the app. The AC units are fantastic. One of the reasons to get this smart AC unit is so you can control it through Google Home, or Apple Home Kit, or Alexa. While other appliances give you full or almost full control through those smart home systems, this app allows only for switching ON/OFF control. That's it. Nothing else. Yes, you can use the Assistant to ask for other functions, but I like controlling my appliances through my smartphone without having to yell at them. Please fix that. Two stars off for this major shortcoming. Another request -and this is just a suggestion, so no points off for it- would be if you could let us lock all hardware buttons so the kids cannot mess with the settings. That would be grand!

Unit leaves a lot to be desired, as does the app
I’ve been using my new U-shape AC since May. I’m very disappointed in the unit (more than double the needed BTU but still weak cooling). Was looking forward to the app. The 2 stars are for the basic functioning: settings generally work and function better than the buttons on the unit itself. My problem is the app leaving a lot to be desired design-wise, and the troubling random glitches. I’ve set up a schedule multiple times because it frequently didn’t turn on or did turn on but not to what it was set for (set to 62 but turns on at 86). Has been working now for a couple weeks so hopefully fixed. Hoping there’s a better investment in the appearance and function of the app, otherwise this unit will have been an all around disappointment.

Easy to set up easy to use
I am blind so I was intimidated at first, but I am used to programming that has not previously considered blindness and how they program which can cause errors in the flow of information and sometimes even buttons or links will not work even though it's announced as such. With this software I found it very easy to move through and register, but it was only lacking a notification that it has sent an email and that I would need to click it before I could login. Other than that tiny, everything else is smooth as silk.

App needs a lot of work
I tried setting up the app and creating an account manually but you can’t because the Register button is being covered with text telling you about selecting a Region and therefore you can’t actually click on the button. I had to create the account by connecting it to my Apple ID and I didn’t want to do that. That is clearly a coding issue and it’s sad that mainstream companies in China that sell through major retailers like Walmart can’t understand the importance of getting it right the first time. They probably don’t care but this is their opportunity to take feedback from an actual customer and use it to fix their app so customers will be happy with their product completely.

How can I Report Bugs and Provide Feedback?
App is ok, certainly not the smoothest user experience to connect to the unit, but it gets the job done. I do love the fact that there is Google Home integration but I noticed the following issue/bug. I hope the developers can see this and fix, I would assume it is easy to fix because it appears the wrong values are being sent. Bug 1: If I have the Mode set to Cool. When I ask Google Home, “What is the indoor temperature?” It replies “The Air Conditioner is set to ECO”. But it should reply with the current indoor temperature or at least the value it is set to operate at. If I have the Mode set to Auto. When I ask Google Home, “What is the indoor temperature?” It replies “The Air Conditioner is set to Auto Mode and 162 degrees”. At least it tells me when what degrees it is set to but is incorrectly taking the 72 F that I have the AC set at, and then it must be accidentally thinking that is Celsius, and. Then it converts it to what it thinks would be Fahrenheit value of 162 degrees. Would be cool if the devs could work through this so that Google Home would be able to properly what the indoor temperature is.

Problem with Version 5.14.0
Overall, this is a useful app that I use on a daily basis to monitor and manage two cube dehumidifiers. However, with the release of version 5.14.0 I have lost the ability to navigate the app on my iPhone SE 2020. It still works fine on the iPad. Upon initializing the app, two pop up items appear. I’m able to close the first by clicking the OK button. For the second pop up I am unable to scroll down far enough to click OK. The app is now unusable on the iPhone SE 2020. I may try to delete it and start over. Thanks for any advice.

Wonderful AC/Heater Horrible app!
To make it absolutely clear from the beginning this review is 100% about the app, the unit itself is absolutely amazing! This app makes you sign in EVERYTIME you want to adjust the temperature. If your a weird person like me who changes the temperature frequently throughout the day your gonna be annoyed by day two. Half the time once you spend time logging back in it doesn’t even register your input for like 60 seconds. So you think it’s not working and try to adjust it more and then it was over adjusts and it’s so cold your cutting diamonds (if you know what I mean). To add insult to injury they’ve made it so you have to check a box to confirm you agree to their terms of service every single time you open the app. If your buying Mideas products purely off the easy connection options don’t.

A work in process - glorious when it works :-/
This app is seriously buggy. I have two of the new 12,000 U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner units. Perhaps there’s a security issue with the app or server end of Midea’s infrastructure but one of my AC units keeps getting “hijacked” out of my app and disappears, yet gets remotely controlled by someone else in the world at random times. I’m conjecturing that some of these window units we’re programmed with duplicate device identifiers when manufactured. Again, just a guess. Or worse, perhaps the app crosses into other another user’s cloud configuration. Controlling the AC unit via Google Home and Alexa (yes I have tested both) is glorious! - when it works. It’s hit or miss. I am about to give up on this app and the cloud connectedness for reliability but most importantly, security. Something fishy is going on here.

Finally an AC with Power and simplicity!
I could be ahead of myself but so far so great! It’s day one and unpacking/assembly of the AC was simple. We have 8hrs where the dogs are home and I’ll have to make a trip back just to put the AC on for them but this works with my cell making that trip obsolete. Have a split/raised ranch style home and this unit cools my entire family room, kitchen, and bedrooms if doors are left open. I’m most excited about the power saving claims so I’ll update if they don’t live up to it. The unit is extremely quiet for the power it has, very impressive.

Latest update disabled use on small iPhone
The latest update has information screens on startup illustrating changes to the app. At the bottom is an “OK” button that must be pressed to move on. The second info screen is apparently formatted for larger phones, and on my iPhone 12 mini the “OK” button is below the bottom of the screen and cannot be pressed. Scrolling is disabled on this screen, and the app will not function until “OK” has been pressed, therefore the app will not work. The “App Support” button on the App Store takes you to the Midea Web Site, where no app support can be found. Hopefully there will another update soon that remedied this problem. Prior to this problem I would have given the app 5 stars, but until fixed it shouldn’t even have 1 star.

Awesome dehumidifier, great app
The dehumidifier comes with a very small profile, easy to store and turn on. The huge bucket is perfect for a southeast wet region usage. We used to change service our old fridgedaire machine twice daily, now only once a day. The remote app is perfect to check the machine in the basement or upstairs. It tells you the humidity level, machine status. You can remote control your humidifier if needed. The only improvement I can think of: add wheels to the bucket for easy move around for physically challenged. For us it’s no issue but nice to have.

App won’t connect anymore
When I set up my new window AC unit, the app worked and I was able to set up times for the unit to change temps in the schedule feature. Though some parts of the display I could not read because they had white words on top of a very light grey or white background, so that was kind of annoying. Well, the app worked for 2 days. Then, I tried to log back in to change some settings and all of a sudden it won’t connect to the unit. I tried taking the unit off and reconnecting and it won’t even pair with my phone. It keeps saying my network passcode is incorrect (which it isn’t). I then tried to uninstall and reinstall the app and it still won’t connect. There are more than some bug fixes that need to happen with this app.

Incredible Solution
Was hesitant about getting the app because of the number of poor ratings. I don’t know if the recent updates have addressed those, but the app is magic. We have two u-inverter window units and are going out of town for a week. Within 5 minutes, I have both units set up on the app, I can control remotely from anywhere. I have set a schedule to cool the house prior to our return home. The app also tells me the outside temperature, as well as the temperature in my apartment. It’s literally everything I was looking for.

Amazing U shape Ac
This is a solid review, I have had it in my window now for about three months and I can tell you this thing is amazing, extremely efficient and extremely quiet, only pulls about 3 A when it’s running, my electric bill has dropped 25% now that I turn my central air to 75 deg & my bedroom to 70 deg when I sleep at night, I don’t have any problems with the app like other people have said so if you’re reading this yes buy it! Well worth the money tenfold, I’m at HVAC person for 28 years and this is my professional opinion. Incredible invention of a ductless mini split to cut in your window

Dehumidifier
I purchased the 50 pint dehumidifier over two weeks ago.. It has made the air so much better on my lower level.. Gave it 5 stars but little more explanation would be great for when the pump kicks on.. Was worried it will not work since it was not pumping the water.. Gave it a day to see.. And bang the pump kicked so i guess it hit a certain level for it to work.. But other then that it’s great not too loud.. REMEMBER just let it fill up for continuous pump to start working, it pumps it out quick…DEF WILL TELL MY FAMILY TO PURCHASE ONE OF THESE if they need a dehumidifier..

Don’t listen to negative reviews
Most negative reviews are user error. I bought the “u-shaped” AC from Midea about a month ago. Right out of the box I set up the app and It has worked flawlessly since day one. I’m able to turn my AC on from my phone an hour before I get home, it’s great. Even the interface is nice. For people who complain about 2.4 ghz most routers these days have both 2.4 and 5ghz so this shouldn’t be an issue for anyone unless you have a single band router that only uses 5ghz. I have google mesh and have zero issues.

Google home issue
The ac in general is absolutely amazing. YET, while adding to google home, I’m able to change the mode and swing option but the temp is unable to change via google home. It does work with google home while in Celsius, yet when switching to Fahrenheit, my google assistant states, the AC temp requested is out of range. If possible, a little work with Fahrenheit and google home. Seems to be a bug and I’m not the only one experiencing it. I’ve seen other articles on Reddit saying the same issue. Please look into if possible, the product is great, I really REALLY love it yet that one issue is the only thing in the way. Thank you!!!

App works fine for me
I’m not sure why others are having problems, since iv downloaded the app it has worked just fine. The app is very basic, it would be nice if it could display things like the Kilowatt hour’s it’s used etc, like i have seen different products support. My only complaint is I have to login to the app if the units been off for several hours, but after login I’m connected to it just fine no matter we’re I’m at.. I use an IPhone and have the unit connected to my WiFi’s 2.4Ghz band.

Great product and app but...
I have no way to report this other than through a review. The subject line is spot on but the newest version of the app doesn't quite work on an iPhone 8. The new features tutorial when you start the app won't allow you to press OK to advance to the app. The OK button is cut off. Again this is for the iPhone 8. My iPhone 13 allows you to press on the OK button because you can see it, not cut off. Please fix. Thanks.

Can’t adjust weather data
We use this app to turn our dehumidifiers on/off at our rental property. The app has an integrated weather feature which provides great info that we would use, but the only problem is that it pulls the data for your current location. This does not work for us because our rental property is hundreds of miles away from us and has vastly different weather. It needs to have the ability to set the location for the weather data pull. Poorly designed app. App is effective at turning our units on/off and giving data, but that’s about it. We have to use other weather apps in conjunction with this one….very frustrating.

This app is 100% broken, rendering the WiFi on these units useless
Echoing what others have said - the app is as horrible as the AC unit is excellent. Which is to say a lot. The app worked for about a day before losing connection constantly, and finally just never regaining it at all. For days I thought it was just me, but these reviews have been real comforting. This app is 100% broken. It does not work. I mostly came here in hopes that the company is reading the reviews. Please fix this. Or at least make it compatible with another app, like HomeKit. Until you do, you can’t in good faith advertise it as WiFi-enabled. It isn’t. And I really wish it were, because the unit itself is great. I want to keep using it. *Please make it possible for me to keep using it.*

I had low expectations and am honestly quite impressed
Don’t let the older 1* reviews deter you from installing the app like it did for me. I’m quite impressed with the setup wizard and as long as you know your 2.4ghz wifi password prior to setup it should take 5 mins or less to sync the AC unit with your phone. I have the Midea U shape window unit (10k BTU) and outside or the tedious installation of the unit itself due to the instructions this is a game changer as far as window units goes. This sucker blows ice cold and even on the highest speed its still quiet enough to never be an issue when im on a conference call.

Laughably Awful App UX
There’s no way to select a Wi-Fi network in iOS 15.6.1. After the app correctly detects our AC via Bluetooth, I am prompted to connect to my local WiFi network. However, when I tap the “Choose Home Wi-Fi” button, while it successfully opens the Settings app in iOS, there is no way to select a network; the result is that I end up stuck in the Settings app. Even better, the app usually crashes and restarts at this point, which means I have to start over. Lather, rinse, repeat. This is an absolutely embarrassing app UX by Midea. It’s too bad, because our new portable inverter air conditioner is superbly constructed, and its control panel is a great example of excellent UX. Would be nice to control it with an app, but I guess that’s asking too much.

*UPDATED REVIEW* - AWESOME!
In my first review I stated that I wasn’t satisfied due to the App not allowing me to register therefore not being able to use the app which is the MAIN reason I bought this air conditioner in particular. After not having my ac in the window since last spring/summer, I tried to use the app and VOILA! I was able to register and control my ac using the app! The Air conditioner itself is a bit loud but I’m ok with that due to the fact that it cools my room quite well. I’m giving it 4 stars due as opposed to my original 2, because the app now works however I don’t think anything is worth 5 stars 🤷🏽‍♂️

AC disappears from app
My AC disappeared from the app and that’s not even the worst issue. Now that my wifi connection is activated - the AC unit itself is still connected to my WiFi - it is being controlled or interfered with by a mystery person or persons. It will randomly turn off or on and temp will change. And that’s going to cost me money!! I woke up to find it running at 67 when I left it at 72. Can’t imagine what it will cost when I travel. I need some way to disable the WiFi connection but can’t find it. Super disappointing that I won’t be able to use the app for WiFi intended purpose ... I’m not going to add it back every time it disappears. Midea, how in the world do we get in touch with your Customer Service??? Nothing on the app or brochures tell us how to find you!!!

Fixed app. Works fine.
I’ve been using this and the unit for over a year now. I like that I can program it to turn on on a schedule or that I can turn it on when I’m out so that it’s cool when I get home. Recently (as shown by all the 1 ⭐️ reviews) the app had a glitch where on an iPhone or iPod Touch you were unable to dismiss the tour. This made the app unusable. And support wasn’t helpful, they said the app was discontinued 😯- which didn’t make sense. Fortunately they fixed the bug and now it works fine again.

Sign in with Apple dropped, all data with it
They used to allow Sign in with Apple. Now a broken and blank “notice” appears if you try and the only option provided is to “create an account”. If you create an account, you lose all your old settings, schedules, and devices. This is the third strike for this app. Avoid using it at all costs. The scheduling feature was broken before and occasionally failed to change the temperature. The app required 5 steps to get to your device (4 for logging in) that took >1 minute just to check on your device. And now it’s deleted all my data and won’t allow a previously supported sign in mechanism. Really Midea? Please do better.

Great AC, Decent App
I love having access to all these features (including the ability to shut off the LED and sound). I'd really really appreciate the app login to be adjusted so that two people can stay logged in with their own devices. My wife and I both need access to our AC unit at different times—kicking one another off to use the app on either device and having to log back in later is a little frustrating. Would be a really nice addition, as well as iOS Widgets! 🤞

Great app but….
The app performs as expected. 8.5 out of user friendliness. The major problem is notifications. It does send notifications when bucket is full but the problem is it uses a default sound to alert you, I think. To be honest I don’t know if it does or doesn’t. I’ll just happen to be looking at my phone and see the notification. If this app allowed you to choose a custom sound I would probably give it 5 stars. I gave it 3 because as is it’s an almost 3.5 ish app but not quite 4. If the developers could add custom alert sounds it would be wise

Buggy with features disappearing
The app is not horrible but very buggy. My window unit U-Shaped AC has a Swing and ECO function. These buttons will sometimes appear for a few seconds when you open the app and turn on the AC. And the buttons work if you are able to click it in time. They then disappear and it's impossible to get back to them. Also the app keeps sending notifications that "Midea account logged in elsewhere" when you log in. I don't know if it's a back end problem with their servers. The app needs a real refresh to fix these bugs that should have never made it to production.

High shouldn’t be 80, how is that logical?
Developers need to fix that High should be 100, not 80. Most people operate the fan at 100%, afterall that is what it turns on to the first time. There is no way in Favorites or Schedule functions to set the fan speed to 100 (only High, which is 80). This is nuts, who decided that illogic? High should be 100, Medium should be 70, and Low should be 30. Or add another level called “Max” and make that 100. … also, add lever orientation to the Favorite and Schedule functions. That way can set to Swing or Lowest angle of lever as part of those functions; is a 5min IT fix.

SCHEDULES stopped working
When I first installed the app (iOS version), it did what I expected with regard to my Midea dehumidifers … I could turn them on/off, set the humidity, adjust fan speed, and create schedules. However, after a few weeks, I am no longer able to get into and adjust the “Schedules” of my dehumidifier. The app immediately crashes every time I tap the “Schedules” tab. This is annoying because there is a schedule in there that I created earlier but now I am unable to adjust or delete that schedule. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but I continue to have the same problem. TO THE DEVELOPER: PLEASE FIX!

App is useless
I want to be clear, the unit works well, and is the best at cooling my room I've had in a decade. However the app is useless. I paid extra to have a wifi enabled AC unit. This app regularly drops the connection to the unit so I can't control it remotely. I try to log out and log in as it suggests but that doesn't ever clear the "offline" status. The only way I've found to fix the issue is to delete the unit from the app, unplug the unit, plug it back in, and then go through the steps to add the unit back to the app. In the month I've owned the unit I've never been able to have connection via the app for more than a day. My wifi is stable and has no issues, so something else is wrong. Incredibly frustrating.

Annoying
The AC itself is fantastic, one of the Midea U units. But this app presents some serious annoyances. For one, you can’t log into it in more than one place at a time, it will kick the oldest session off and then you have to log in again. Next, every single time you log in, you have to re-accept the privacy policy and license agreement. Very annoying. I have also found an issue with the button to turn the audible beep off (WAY too loud): Sometimes if you turn it off and then change other settings, it will turn back on.
