This message is for owner operators. Do not ever order the dash cam from this company. The sales team will deceive you that you could access the dash cam on your cellphone or tablet. They pushed me to sign the contract through docusign. Guess what, after I received the camera, it doesn’t work on cellphones or tablets at all. When I tell them to return it, they said that I have to pay the entire year because of the contract I signed. They will give you false information and after you sign the contract then you will be in trouble. Plus the customer service are pretending as if they are professional but they lie straight to your face. They don’t even care for your time & money. I’m warning you stay away from the Dashcam service. Someone will come under this comment saying “sorry for experiencing inconvenience bla bla…bs” sorry doesn’t mean nothing if you can’t value customers time and money.
All that time and money developing an app with the most important features to take on the go missing
I don’t know what the logic was for this app, there is absolutely nothing here that would make sense to justify developing an app for fleet managers. You can’t review uploaded documents, request existing reports to export via email or download to start phone, you can’t see or answer any messages coming in via the drivers - that’s a serious issue, you can’t add assets or edit details for existing ones, and what you can do is borderline pointless for anyone to use smartphone to view. Would seriously recommend next time motive ask their clients what are the most important features they need in an app - because we were never asked, and there’s a lot we would love to see on this app and would make great use of if they actually developed it for fleet management.
I like the function to track the trucks with motive and enjoy the fleet view with the possibility to see arrival times from all truck and location in one screen. I didn’t find it yet but if there is an option to get automatic notification that the trucks arrived that would be great option to make my life easier. Thank you for the quick response- I will start working on using the GEO fence ability to get automatic updates when the trucks come closer to there pickup and drop off locations
The app won't give me the option to refresh driver location. It will tell me where drivers are 12 hours ago and not their current location. and the website itself never gets any of the posted speed limits. Making our drivers look like they are going 55 in a 35 when in reality the speed limit is 55. We have been told that the best thing to do is put a note in the speeding event that the speed posted is incorrect... which doesn't help at all when insurance sees a large portion of our drivers often speed 15+ over the speed limit. Reaching out to costumer service is also a waste of time. They never follow the directions of your request and often never get back to us on our issues.
View Logs option not working. Giving an error that says that the selected date is before the driver’s account was added, which isn’t true. That drivers account has been active for several years. When I called support to find out why that page isn’t working, their reply was that it’s not supposed to work and if I want to see logs, I have to look on the desktop website, which is obviously bull crap. Why would the developers waste time creating a page and error message that wasn’t meant to be there in the first place? Poor excuse for poor performance.
Customers should know about the pricing in advance.
My fleet uses this ELD since the beginning and I have no complaint about the service. But every fleet that I know used their service are already cancelled. The reason is they won’t give you the exact pricing and you will not find it anywhere and at the time of renewal you will get any renewal amount without any notice. Every ELD provider has a clear pricing on their website but not this company and you have to bargain with them like in a bazaar. Sorry guys I can’t handle it every year and I am canceling my service with you with my 23 trucks on fleet.
Motive is a great tool to have in your truck, because you can track your truck anywhere and also get real time diagnostic problems and I been able to do my own mechanic solution because the ELD device gives me the codes that the truck is having trouble with, thank you Motive
The app for the purpose of seeing where your trucks are is alright, besides the grouping of trucks together when they’re 3 states apart, but you can’t do 95% of anything a fleet manager may need to do when it comes to truck or driver settings. You have to log in on the computer. Can’t add or delete trucks or drivers, or edit any of their info.
I can’t see the drivers HOS in my Fleet app. It says the hours will not show up until the driver logs in again? What is that about? I’m getting email alerts about violations but I can’t see what’s going on with the driver’s hours with this app. I can only see details via browser login with a desktop so the app is basically only a GPS map.
Glad to see this app, it’s been long missing. App request, allow us to press and hold on an address to copy and paste in other apps. Can’t wait for all of the features to roll out!
The app is a great idea it just not execute very well. For one, the truck locations are not accurate. Sometimes not all my trucks are listed. I still have to call my drivers to verify their location because I can not trust the app. Some features are not available vs the computer version.
Difficult to edit logs to insert a statice on the phone. Screen does not respond correctly, thinks I’m trying to turn the page, but not quite. Likes to keep drivers driving when not moving, if you want to edit, you cannot because the trip is in progress. Frustrating!
In the trucking business we usually deal with a lot of characters and you pretty much have to pay attention to who you’re doing business with as everyone tries to screw you over one way or another. NOT with Motive! Their management is there to help us truckers with our needs. They go above and beyond and their services and expertise are way above Samsara or Geotab. Happy to do business with Motive!
If you’re buying their product they’ll blow up your phone but if you cancel the contract they stop answering your request, delate the cancellation and keep charging $$. The product works but their customer service and the experience we had with them makes us not wanting to deal with them anymore.
Do not like how they update the app. It use to be much better before. It could fit in the screen so you don’t need to scroll up and down to save the changes.
After the new update on the log book/ hours of service they change the interface and they made is to much complicated checking drivers clock . Bring back the old interface
Worst service ever I been trying to reactive my account for hours they tell you 10 minutes then 30 minutes then 1 hours now 6 hours passed and I’m still waiting I did everything they asked but no one seen to care bad service no to say is scam

App not tracking assets - stop stop stop combining vehicles to the group on the map, that is ridiculous, show all units separately on a map, I tired to see numbers , you have to scroll to see bird flight high to see your truck number - where maintenance records can be added ???? What point of the app for fleet manager without ability to manage fleet - very very poor and basic functionality - driver profile why not showing what truck he on and what trailer he using (when you clicking on truck you able to see driver, but why no option in opposite
The app doesn’t work all the time to locate trucks. It just loads and loads. Also this app is too lite of an app. Need to add more of the desktop features.
Just downloaded the latest version and it crashes as soon as I tap on the app. Literally doesn’t open. I restarted my phone, deleted and downloaded the new version 3 times and to no avail. Has this happened to anyone else??
I’ve had subscription for 4 years. Was told that I can cancel any time after the 2 year contract. When I tried to cancel, they tell me that my subscription will run until the anniversary month. That’s not what “any time “ means. Be aware.
Half the time the data I’m seeing in regards to logs (especially split sleeper) doesn’t work. My driver will see one thing, I’ll see something different or nothing at all.
The app is tough to navigate your way around and then he get rid of a truck that needs ELD and they have you locked in a contract and mark terminate contract threaten collectionIf you refuse to pay would not recommend them to anybody
I love the app. I love being able to see hours left and location to help planning. As well all the information provided. HOWEVER WHY DO I NEED TO LOGIN IN EVERY TIME I WOULD LIKE TO CHECK ON A DRIVER !!?? IT COULD BE 20 MINUTES AND I HAVE TO SIGN IN AGAIN. REALLY ?? JUST CURIOUS!!..
Avoid getting eld from this people, takes 3 days to do anything with them, team of Indian people that just transfer your from dpt to dpt, very bad experience!!!
