My original review is below but the app isn’t as great as I once thought. I can no longer pay my bill through the app. Scheduling work orders is not reliable because sometimes the app is not functioning, scheduling is not available, and work orders disappear. Management/Maintenance reschedules the world orders and they show up when I’m not home. NYCHA please do better. _______ Would be great if I could see the balance history on my account and also see the actual bill before paying it. Then I'd use the app to pay my bill. For now, I just send payments. Paying through the app would be so much more convenient. Thanks NYCHA! I appreciate being able to schedule work orders, check on status of work orders, and pay rent with this app. I work so the contact center is closed by the time I get home and I forget to call at lunch bc I'm prob eating if I even get to take a decent lunch if things are busy. Thanks NYCHA for the progressive improvements to my rental experience in my development.
Reading the comments years ago in my head thinking: these people probably never really tried to even get it to work, watch me...Psych! After entering yeh requires login details (last name - DOB - last 4 of SS) I called the number the app refers you to (NYCHA Customer Service) who don’t even have an extension for app support I had to scour the lockbox, annual review & work ticket departments for 30 minutes bouncing around to land on a E-Pay support line. Much to their credit they helped me enroll in their services through an emailed link, provided me with information I didn’t have on hand and assisted me very well though my journey to use the MyNYCHA app. At the end of the enrollment process the representative informs me that they no longer support the app. Anyone with common sense reading the comments and reviews would have come to that conclusion but in the end my own ego led me to solve a problem with no solution only to have wasted my time. Definitely, definitely, definitely sign up for E-Pay and just make a shortcut on your phone to jump there when you need. That is our best bet and is a fine one if you’re not a complainer. In short — the app doesn’t work. pay on the website.
I would give this “app” zero stars if I had the option to do so. NYCHA is full of crap and this useless app is another classic example of it. NYCHA lies to its tenants and the taxpayers by using this useless app as alleged proof that NYCHA is actually doing something for its tenants. The reality this is further proof of 40+ years of NYCHA’s fraud by deception by claiming that this useless app represents progress. In fact, this useless app is proof of how NYCHA has found its new technological smokescreen to hide its grotesque waist of our tax money. When Mayor LaGuardia created NYCHA in the 1930s, the poor finally had a clean place to live. Today NYCHA is a morbid shadow of its former self. Mayor LaGuardia is certainly turning over in his grave and perhaps cursing at NYCHA from the grave.
Need to fix this frozen app, I’m tired of frozen apps
Why is the real reason if you changed payment center that’s what messed the app up more you need to get fund or ask the bank to help out with the app the bank and housing want there money come on get together and better this app I finally paid my rent but it was late watch next month we get a penalty but no they don’t call all people to ask why this time around you need to cancel everyone’s late fee because who ever is in charge still hasn’t fixed the app problem. This app used to be very useful. Now, I can’t even sign in. I put my information in and it says "please wait” like it’s loading but doesn’t go past the login screen.
I use this app when it wants to work. Today I had to remove the app and reinstall it. So I’m writing this review. The app shows the buildings and you can’t log in and it’s very frustrating, you try to pay your rent via the app and it’s impossible. I’m hoping this application updates because I see the same complaints from 3 yrs ago. This is so unfortunate, please improve the app and services Nycha. I work & I would like to communicate via the app and not have to go to the Center which is far away from me. It seems that I have no choice at this point. Nobody cares about us
This app used to be perfect and even better now that the elevator can be reported. Now the problem is that sometimes when I login, it kicks me out and I have to try again. Sometimes I have to try like 20 or 30 times before it finally logs me in. There needs to be an update because this is inconvenient. Phone calls take longer. I just had a no hot water problem and I had to do the phone call which I try to avoid.
You can schedule a repair but good luck having them come within your scheduled time. I scheduled one but not three appointments because NYCHA decides to come outside of the scheduled time. Whats the point of letting me schedule a time if you are just going to come whenever you feel like it. Not everyone can wait 9AM-5PM M-F because they actually need to go to work. Also when you point out the issue no one seems to know what is going on and just blames each other. Get your act together, if the app wasn't ready don't release it and waste other peoples time.
The app was working fine for a while, but now it stopped working and I can’t access any tickets or file anything. I can’t even login because all I’m seeing is the background portrait. I used this app when calls aren’t going through, but now I am cut off from doing that too. It shows that the developer doesn’t do upkeep of the app, which is why it has so many issues and bugs. Fix the app, man!
I haven’t been able to sign into the app in more than a half a year despite constant attempts. I know I’m putting in the correct sign in information but when I press sign in it appears to be doing something for a second and then throws me back to the sign in screen. The app is garbage and to add to the frustration I can’t find anyone in New York City Housing Authority that could help me with this TECH SUPPORT issue. I give up.
Video should be included because some repairs taking photo would not emphasise certain problems that needs repairs. Also tenants should be able to rate the repairs being done like they did way back in 2002, when it was paper repair tickets. Yesterday I added this app and signed out. Today I opened app and the main screen didn’t display THE STEPS FOR SIGNING IN it displayed like a WALLPAPER OF A BUILDINGS AND THERE IS NO SUPPORT TO REPORT THIS ON THE APP LIKE BEFORE BILLION👎WORST APP FUNCTIONS FROM DEVELOPERS😡
I need the housing office to accept my check to pay for a cylinder change, please. Who gives permission to housing office personnel to accept tenant’s checks for payment? Why must you have tenants make unnecessary purchases?
The app was clunky and didn’t function well in the first place. I access it 1-2 times per month to check work tickets, my bill and pay my rent. I’ve never had a problem logging in, but today I tried to for the first time since last month and I can’t get in. I deleted it, shut down my phone, rebooted and reloaded the app and it still won’t let me login. Fix this mess NYCHA!
I don’t understand what happened to my app. I used to be able to login with no problem, Now when I put in my information it just keeps bringing me back to the same login. Are used to love this app now I can’t even use it! Please please please update this app or do something! It is an important app that is very useful when we need assistance.
I feel that This App should make it more difficult when it comes to: The SIGN IN part. Because anyone can get a hold of anybody’s Personal Information and portray as if they a tenant; sign in and act as if they are the actual tenant. And can create a disaster. I feel this is a MATTER That should be addressed. I’ve had people and still hack me far to many times thru this APP.
Can’t get into mynycha app I have been trying for two months now I call the contact call center and they could not help me I tried sending an email and that comes back undelivered I call my housing and they have no knowledge of how to get into mynycha app up until two months ago I was able to get in could somebody tell me what to do I deleted it reinstalled it still it telling me longin failed HELP ME SOMEBODY 1352star
I have to delete and redownload in between each use. The app loads a blank background screen only. No login form on prompt until you delete and redownload and do it all over again when you need to use it again which for me lately has been everyday multiple times a day.
It’s already April 2020 and this app still does not work! It asks for your social so I put it only to realize that it only takes 4 numbers max- so I put my last four and it still does not work. They should take this off their website if they won’t work on the issues this app has. I do not recommend downloading this. Just go to their website.
The app never wants to stay open and kicks you out constantly. Then, when you report it to the office no one knows anything and tells you to call the main office. When you call them they ask why they referred you to them. The app is as useless as the people who work in the offices!!!
This app is horrible. Every time I use it is a reminder to let us know the housing could care less about us. I’m making this app better and user-friendly. I have to constantly delete the app and re-download it just so I can sign back in and view or make a new ticket. This is horrible.
There is always something, it needs and overhaul, the app either crashes doesn't load or wont open properly just to name a few issues, currently my issue is with login it logins in and immediately logs me back out , i uninstalled the app and reinstalled and still nothing
This app is liter stuck at the loading screen with the buildings. Can’t even log in. Just wasting space on my phone. I shouldnt have to uninstall and reinstall to use the app, that’s just ridiculous. Of course NYCHA, the government and the people responsible for this app don’t care about fixing anything that relates to NYCHA.
Jeez the app is almost the same as living in nycha building. For the past 2 months I’ve been unable to daily check into my rent or claim a ticket for maintenance, open opens allows you to enter your personal information, than flash twice to the left an returns blank. Smh just sign in online save the trouble
anything that has to do with a stoppage or bathroom. I’m provided some yes or no question but it just keeps repeating itself, so it’s not allowing to submit the ticket cause the questions just keep on repeating itself. Please fix this I don’t wanna call NYCHA everytime I have a stoppage. The questions does nothing for us tenants

Opening up the app and the login screen doesn’t show up, have to wait hours or days for it to show up again. Making a ticket has long load times that it crashes the app.
This app is as worthless as the NYCHA itself. How do you expect people to use an app that is rarely updated and always has issues? Why can’t you keep the app updated? It either force closes or doesn’t load at all. Ridiculous
This app is a complete waste of time!!! It’s a complete piece of broken garbage!!! The app is broken. It won’t let me login one minute then it logs me in just to kick me back out. Then randomly wants to work for a week then boom back to glitching and not letting me login. There’s never an update for this crap.
I had this app 2 times each time it works for a few months then all of a sudden site not found this app ain’t worth nothing especially when your away from home and you need to pay your rent and can’t you could be evicted messing around with this app
Downloaded the app once again and it's not logging me in. It stays in the login section. Please fix the app to continue putting in the ticket when needed.
I tried endlessly to pay my rent and as I enter my tenant I’d and acct # and my ss/dob etc it says it firs to know me.. next it says my information is incorrect And Finally I quick paid July n Aug rents and the address PO Box was for NJ??? For the past month I have not been able to log in to the app. It’s accepts my log in but the page just reloads back to the log in screen. I can’t find anywhere to request assistance.

This app is like the The owners who own the developments no good no good. It need to be more than just upgraded it needs to be replaced with a better developer ,like the project in New York city(NYCHA they need to be taken away and given to the them to the government!!!
I can't login recently, always ask me to check the login info I putted, double checked so many times, still not able and error message asks me to call repair hotline, cannot reach correct person.
I enter my last name, DOB, and last 4 of social. It asks if I want to update my contact information and then regardless of yes or no, it brings me back to main screen.
Terrible something wrong please take it off the app because you telling us to use the my NYCHA app if we do not want wait on the phone line but the service is not working
The app does not open anymore. Even after deleting and reinstalling the app does not open after information is entered to log in. Not surprising. A failure like the rest of NYC public housing.
The app hasn’t been working for over a month now. I’m unable to put tickets in using the app which is very inconvenient I have to call the CCC number instead.

The functionality of this app has gone downhill. I cant even get past the sign in screen any more. My credentials are successful but then the sign in screen just reappears.
