This is the worst app I have ever used. It won’t take my password and can’t find my account. Almost every time I pay my bill I have to physically call and pay it over the phone. Worse than useless.
OkC utilities switched to new system. New app is simply awful-cannot set up an account as it keeps rejecting any passwords I submit-saying password and repeat password don’t match. I also tried paying with the QR scan on the bill and it doesn’t work either-get a message saying it can’t connect to the server. So.... I go to the web site listed on the bill for “customer service” and guess what? You get the same page requiring you to re-register with new password, etc that didn’t work in the beginning. I did, however, find a “one time payment” option and, after entering my CC info twice, got Nov payment submitted. I still can’t set up paperless billing and auto draft as I had on the old system that WORKED. Gotta lot of bugs to work out, OkCity. I will try to re-register again later. I’ve had enough for one day.
This app is garbage. If I could put it out on the curb for trash pickup, I would. I will have to settle for deleting it from my phone instead. There are many unlabeled buttons making usage difficult for blind people like myself who use VoiceOver. Clearly, there was little to no effort given to accessibility despite the City's legal obligation to make its services accessible to people with disabilities. While I have managed to work around the accessibility issues, I cannot work around the fact that this app crashes constantly. Every time I try to make a payment from this ap, It crashes before I can complete the payment making this poorly designed app utterly useless to me. Very disappointing.
I’ve seen others mention this but it’s annoying you can’t remove a payment option. My card expired, I have a new one and has the same numbers just different expiration. It won’t let me add the card so I have to manually add a card everytime. Also the scan card feature to parse your card numbers now just crashes the app. I don’t understand what sort of testing goes on before updates are pushed out. Literally the most user un-friendly app ever.
I’ll be honest, I haven’t actually ever used the app. I have tried many many times. It just never actually loads. The website is just as bad but at least I can open a new site or app while it attempts to log me in for 27 minutes before timing out and ha ONG me do it all o er again. I’d say the average time from my first log in attempt to actually getting to the bill payment page is around 65 minutes. Sometimes it goes really fast and I can accomplish this gigantic feat in a little under an hour.
It’s nice to have your sight it’s a bit confusing and when you send a message to my phone woukd be nice if it had a link to go to your sight to pay my bill like Oklahoma natural gas has. Their sight is great easy to use and pay bill. Also can’t find a way on your sight to report my trash can was tore up last dump could really use a new one Thanks
Worst app I’ve ever encountered. I’ve spent more time trying to set up new app and pay bill, and its still not done with agent even trying to help me. I gave and said I would just pay by phone; so now I’ve been on hold a second time for quite some time and still waiting!!
This does not replace functionality of the old system. Help desk is slow to respond. I can not set up auto payment. The shut down previous payment system which had auto pay. This is not ready and you have to use it to pay the bill. They could have at least got it ready before they dropped the old system.
I agree with the previous review that I read! Worst app I have ever used as well. Previous app worked great this one just plain stinks! After finally getting it set up/ I can never get online from the mobile app! Always have to go to my lap top- don’t know what the difference is- change is not always fir the better!
This app is poorly managed. It has been updated recently and it seems to have gotten worse. You would be lucky enough to open the app without it crashing every ten seconds. When trying to log in, the app will forget your information. And if you try to create a new account it will only accept lowercase letters for some criteria, preventing your from completing the anything. I like the new look though!
Why don’t they have an app home page link for “service days” (INCLUDING HOLIDAY make up!)? Trash Recycle Big trash The only thing more important would be to see and pay your bill. I bet over 90% of all visits are for: SERVICE DAYS & YOUR BILL w/pay You can’t find holiday make up days!!!
I don’t understand why they cannot fix this to allow a future scheduled payment. Worst payment program I’ve ever used. Not everyone likes autopay but because you cannot simply schedule a payment ahead you are either forced to do it or risk missing a payment date. All from a utility app for a major US city in 2021… nuts
It is very hard to try and sign in online. I don’t remember my password. I have changed it before and it doesn’t give you a chance you need to fix that so it’s a little bit easier for us to get in at least for seniors.
I have spent three days and an hour on the phone to get the new app to work. I am having to try to work through bugs that should have been worked out before this app was put out. I now cannot enter my Discover card expiration date to add the card for payment. I used the old app for years with no problem. Poorly done.
Is my payment information even secure? This might be the worst redo I’ve ever experienced. I’m delinquent on my account because auto pay was shut off and no one notified me? Refreshed the website and makes everyone recreate an account?! Is this amateur hour? The new website is trash! Who set up the database? Impossible to register an account on Safari, Chrome is buggy and the app isn’t helpful. The latency is like I’m on dial up for every button click. Did interns build this? Serious question. I should get paid to use this new platform for my time spent on this garbage UX.
This is the worst app I have ever used. It is very archaic and should probably be re-done to be user friendly for all devices. It doesn’t work half of the time. I have to delete and reload this app everytime I have to make a payment. I don’t have time for this.
Been trying to set a password for the past 30 minutes and it won’t accept anything. I’ve been set ridiculously long and complicated ones and it keeps giving me an error message. I’m trying to give you money you idiots
This app is a horrible disappointment and a waste of time! Lagging glitches prevent it from opening, once I find a way to get it open and pay a bill it locks up and prevents me from further transactions. This has not been a one time occurrence. Fix it or dump the thing! It’s that bad.
My only complaint is I’m unable to load and view the pdf of my bill. Even on the website it will not work. Makes it difficult for people who are paperless and need proof of utilities.
I’m really just here to complain about having to re register my account for the second time in a month. I wish the utility company had worked half as hard on informing their customers this would be happening as they did developing new interface for the app.
Incorrectly reporting trash pickups around holidays
When checking the app for when trash or bulk pickup is supposed to be when normal pickup is on a holiday the app is incorrect. This should always be correct as holiday schedules are at least a year in advance
I’ve tried several times to set my account up to auto draft but it never works! I get a past due notice. A very nice lady looked at my online setup and thought we were enrolled but guess what we were not!
Every time I try to sign on into the app, the app just disappears on me and it won’t let me ever get on it so I have to just go to the utilities website to pay my bill and this is been going on for about four or five months
The app was fine until last month when an update was done and now the app won’t open on my iPad, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still won’t open
The app is honestly terrible. Two stars because it gets the job done but the user experience is terrible. The UI is terrible as well there are lots of very weird color choices - lots of white and light grey.
There’s a bug when you try to enter your email when you forget your password. The first letter has to be lowercase or match your email address or it won’t recognize.
If you use Face ID to login, it will do Face ID to get into the app, tell you that your session is expired and log you out, and then immediately use Face ID again to log you back in.
Right now, so far, I have had a lot of problems with this app. I liked the old app better. So much easier to use and navigate. To me, this new app is much more complicated and has so much going on that doesn’t need to be there.
The app used to be decent but does not work at all now, it won’t open and when it does it won’t let me login to my account. I have to go to the website to do anything.
