Expensive but totally worth it!
Purchased last season included 2 filter types which has been very beneficial based on size of the particles which need to be removed. Most of the year using the standard filter is adequate but having the filter which removes dirt/sand works perfectly when fields are being tilled around our home. Climbes the wall and scrubs just above the waterline so no need for additional cleaning. We have a large L-shaped inground pool with a tanning ledge and this purchase saved us hours of cleaning. A minor inconvenience, It is unable to clean/climb the steps to the tanning ledge so we brush them regularly and that worked just fine.. We have a vinyl-lined saltwater pool and this robot kept it sparkling clean. After one season of use we lost a couple of nubbs from the roller bar so will be calling for a replacement. Will update review once I speak with customer service about the roller bar. At this point I would highly recommend the product but at this price point expect no degradation of quality for years.

Picks up small and large particles
I originally bought this because I needed a better vacuum for the pool and wanted to spend less time cleaning it and more time in the pool. During the spring my pool water would turn yellow due to pollen and I had to backwash a ton. Turns out the Dolphin was picking up all the pollen and small dirt and leaf particles that were getting In the pool. After I bought this I never had to backwash the filter again due to pollen. During the fall tons off leafs were falling in my pool. The dolphin even picked up the leafs fell to the bottom of the pool that I wasn’t able to skim out in time. This was a costly vacuum but well worth it in my option. Just take care of it, rinse the filters often and it will keep working and it will take care of your pool for you. FYI- I bought the stand and the cover for it, in hopes that it would last longer.

Extremely frustrated with app and also the cleaner getting stuck on stairs
I was able to connect my app with wi-fi once, but each time I get on the app, it tells me I am not connected to Wi-Fi and fails to connect despite a very strong signal. As a result, I have to manually go out to the pool and turn the product on daily. Since it gets stuck on the steps and stays there, I can only use it when I am home to “baby sit” it to keep it from damaging the surface of my pool when stuck. Despite two calls to customer service, I have received no help. They tell me the app has bugs and is being trouble shooted, but no timeline for fixes. I paid way too much for this product to have to turn it on each day and then to sit and watch it!!! I really only need it to run about 30 minutes each day, but support said it has to run for two hours. I only have another week to get this fixed, otherwise I will have to return for a full refund. If Maytronics can’t help me, I will never order another Dolphin. If I have the time to baby sit the unit, I can just brush and vac myself! But I don’t have the time and also don’t want to do it myself. Just call me Extremely Frustrated with this app and product!

Horrible app
I’m extremely disappointed with this app. After spending quite a bit of money on said vacuum for my pool that I am supposed to be able to start and control from my phone I am unable to do so. I can’t even get my phone to sign into the app most of the time let alone be able to start the dolphin up to so it’s job. Then I have to babysit the vacuum once it’s in the pool because I can’t control it. I’m also having issues with the vacuum getting stuck in the deep end on the returns and I have to manually get the vacuum off of them. The vacuum also doesn’t clean the stairs as it says it will so I am constantly manually cleaning them. I’m more upset that we payed a good deal of money for a vacuum that is supposed to work wirelessly and I can’t even get into the app on my phone. And the times I do get into the app I am signed out shortly after saying I don’t have connection, over and over again. My husband even put in additional routers and extenders thinking that was the problem at first and the app still doesn’t work as it should. Very disappointing for such a service that could be so useful.

Clean pool
The Dolphin has been worth every penny. We have never seen the pool as clean and the water so bright and clear. We live out in the country and have a ton of sand. We have a pool cleaning service but once a week is not enough . I wish you could have seen how brown the water was when we put the Dolphin in 8 days ago. If you could see it now you wouldn't believe it. It has been a game changer. Also, someone told me not to spend the money for the wireless option and that I would never use it. I'm glad I didn't listen because I have used it everyday. And don't have to be home to start it. The only negative is when the Dolphin is finished it's 2 hour cycle it does not end on the side for you to lift out. It ends in the middle and then you have to go in after it. But it is a small price to pay to have a pool this beautiful.

Excellent App, great pool vacuum robot!
We purchased this robot vacuum after doing much research and after having two previous different brands, fail, break, never working properly or doing a good job. However, this robot vacuum is exceptional works crate cleaning probably 98% of the pool on every cycle, which is more than adequate also the app works flawlessly. The vacuum system connects to Wi-Fi without any issues and the Apple allows you to control the robot with many different features and functions available through this app. If you are looking for an excellent robot pool, vacuum look no further this has been reliable so far, and is turning out to be a great purchase.

Good Robot, Terrible App
For such an expensive robot we have a terrible app. The app needs to be shut down and relaunched every single time for it to function properly and pick up the robot. Constant cloud connection issues and I know for a fact it’s not the wifi. I have WiFi 6 Router located in the same room as the unit for the robot. No push notifications when robot is done working or at all for that matter. All around the app is extremely finicky and has terrible responsiveness. It completely defies the purpose of convenience. Very disappointed as WiFi/Smart capability was a main factor in my purchase but they need to hire a new development team that knows what they’re doing. This feels like a abandoned primitive app from the early 2010s, yeah that bad. Update: Changed my WiFi password for security reasons now the app will not let me update the password for the robot. Completely stuck in a loading loop. Bad app.

App is not what I expected.
My vacuum was working great. Then I noticed it was only running for about 30 minutes at a time and obviously not cleaning the whole pool. The app is very vague does not have any history information or doesn’t tell you if there’s a problem with the vacuum, which is what I was looking for in an app. I had to call tech-support to find out what was going on and they had said it’s showing us the impeller/propeller was clogged and I needed to clean it and I asked how did you find out that information and they said they can see it on there side and unfortunately you can’t see that on the app also the tech said they can see the history of the cleaning example how long it ran, but you can’t see that on the app. So needless to say, not very excited about the app at all.

Great device
This is great. We have had it about a month and it works great. The cleanest our pool has ever been. The app makes this very easy I can start it from anywhere especially if I forget to start it before I leave the house. I believe this will last a long time from what I have read but if I ever end up needing another I would not hesitate to buy it again or recommend it to others. Already told my brother in law this is what to get when he gets his next year. Also, the access to changing lights and other things is so easy in the app. Absolutely love this!!!

Outstanding and thoughtful
Compared to standard manual operations this app is outstanding. It’s a 5 compared to everyone else. It could use some subtle improvements but overall it’s a winner. It could use a relay beacon to maintain the signal. And the manual driver to operate it isn’t as smooth as I know it will be going forward. The setting to retrieve it in the side of the pool is genius but doesn’t always work perfectly. That said. The availability to program cleaning cycles, know when it’s full, choose different cycles, and see how far into a cleaning cycle it has progressed are beyond incredible. It is highly incomparable. If you really love the family member that takes care of your pool, get them a device that uses this app.

Need Notifications
For the most part this app is for people that don’t want to walk over to the machine and push the button. I guess if you want to be something more you can name your cleaner. Why? I don’t know. I was hoping that if I’m downloading an app into my phone I would get notifications when there is an issue. Like when it gets stuck on the stairs. Which happens all the time. But no. No notifications. You only find out when you go to clean it and see that the pool is still dirty. Then you go into the app to confirm that you started the cleaning process and there is a note that it did not complete the cycle. Maybe I should make use of the wasted brainpower and name the darn thing. At least then I could take out my frustration on a named thing.

Worth every penny
At first I was apprehensive because of the price. But once you realize the time and energy it saves you it is well worth it. Had a few hiccups in the beginning with it constantly shutting off. After one phone call and watching a short video on what to do (literally unscrewing two screws, jiggling the motor putting it back into place and re-screwing) problem was solved. Plus factoring in the cost of a pool company coming here once a week to clean adds up really quickly. I’ve recommended The Dolphin who we call Scooby Dooby to people. Just love it.

Needs some important improvements
The app has improved somewhat. But an important fix has been ignored. When selecting the mode of cleaning ie ultra clean, then you wish to do a longer clean ie 3.5 hours you literally have to restart it 3 times to activate these settings. I usually use ultra clean and would like the choice to make it a default setting. I would also like the setting to be retained when I go to set it for 3.5 hours and not automatically set itself back to the regular setting , making me go and change that again every time I use it! This is very frustrating and this should not be occurring. Please fix that problem, I’ve let this be known and no one fixes it.

Worth every penny!
We bought this last year on Father’s Day. What a gift! We literally did not have to pull our vacuum out all summer/ fall. Kept our pool spotless. Starts every morning and does it’s thing. All we have to do is clean the machine filter. Ran along the top and sides of our inground pool amazingly. Can get stuck on the steps occasionally. Not often though. Bonus is it is great entertainment for the dogs! They love to watch it work. Thank you!!!

Issues all the time
Constant issues with app. Seems like one issue is finally fixed then another pops up. Robot would not connect to WiFi. I had to unplug robot, uninstall, reboot, and install. It worked. NOW the issue is that I’m not getting any notifications when robot finishes. Tried restarting phone, unplugging robot, uninstalling reinstalling app… NOTHING worked. It would also be nice to see when robot starts. Setting the time for schedule is off. I pick a certain start time then save only to get a different time. I’ve made suggestions multiple time regarding seeing errors when robot stops. Why do I have to call and only to wait a looooong time for someone to tell me when I should be able to do it myself. Such a waste of time.

MyDolphinPlus is so easy!!!
My new pool robot has been a game changer getting the pool ready for swimming this weekend. With the encouragement of Bryan, a key part of the team at Zagers Pool & Spa in Jamestown, Michigan, I have become a much more efficient pool owner. The spring vacuuming used to be so time consuming. Now I am controlling the robot with my phone, and it has been seamless! Take the plunge and buy the robot, and if you are not quite ready, rent one to be sure!

App won’t download
I’ve owned this Dolphin 300 for just over a year and it had worked great paired with the app until the last two weeks. No matter what I try, the app won’t download again. I’ve rebooted the router, my iPhone and unplugged and reconnected the power supply. So far, the manufacturer has been NO help, called/no answer, written them/no solution. Very frustrating dealing with this company especially when dealing with a pricey pool cleaner. 2 stars, because the cleaner still moves around, but I paid for a functional app and drive ability of the unit, I have none of that feature.

This robot will clean your pool NOT you
Great unit, it cleans my pool and I’m not doing that anymore. Couldn’t be happier. Save energy bill (no more sweet pump), I’ve disconnected my sweep pump. The app works great. The ONLY issue is: it only has 1 cleaning cycle which is 2.5 hour run time. Please add 1 hour and 2 hour cycles to the app. Or Maybe make open run time where user can manage that time. Like to have that option please.

Cleaner works great…..App is awful
I just noticed that this app is 4+ years old which is concerning. It feels like it’s 4 weeks old. Every time I open the app I have to reconnect to the cleaner. It hasn’t works once yet away from home. Yesterday I was trying to set up the schedule for cleaning and it won’t let me pick a time to start. The second I tapped on “every 2 days” the dolphin starting driving on the cement next to the pool and then flopped on top of the pool cover. Hopefully there is some sort of update coming. Otherwise I probably would have just rather saved $200 and got the lower model that doesn’t have WiFi.

App is Crap, Constantly Disconnects
The Dolphin pool cleaner is wonderful, but the app is crap. It constantly disconnects and needs to be reconnected by going outside and standing right next to the power supply, it is a joke. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it many times, but it’s just futile. There’s no point in having the app if you have to go outside to the power supply. You might as well just push the power button on the power supply and flush the app down the toilet. I don’t know how this app has so many stars, but it appears that somebody has juiced the reviews because the app is garbage and should work seamlessly given the price of this pool cleaner.

Love this Cleaner
WiFi connection works great. I am in Boston now communicating with my pool cleaner in Austin. I run my cycles. Review my history, and set the schedule. I give the WiFi 5 stars along with 5 stars to the a great cleaner. Very impressed after two months of use. The only negative is the short power cord. A terrific machine and you have to use an extension cord to run the unit . Crazy!!

App is not as advertised
Just downloaded. Just purchased robot. Robot software updated. I can name the bot, I can schedule it to start, but there is no screen as shown for scheduling to run for 2 hours, and what time of clean to do. No feature to make it come to the surface so I guess I just have to leave it where it stopped. Day 1 it ran for a few hours then stopped. Pool is still disgusting. Zig zagged every which way, only coming up to clean the top of the tile in a few spots. App doesn’t show you the path it takes or what it may or may not have cleaned. Wondering what else y’all think is included in the “much more” caption? It’s basically nothing. Not worth the $50 for a corded machine you can barely control other than force a turn on or off with the app. Still have to go pick up the power supply and bring it in, and dive for the vacuum if I wanted to bring it in… so what’s the point of the app again?

Poorly designed app. TERRIBLE troubleshooting guides
This app is poorly designed and was clearly not tested prior to deployment. Changed our Wi-Fi network (which happens when you… you know… move) and now cannot connect. I would LOVE to change the network settings in the app, but it will not leave the error screen (which has no menu at at the top). Kinda dumb to have an app that gets stuck in a connection loop without any ability to access the settings. This is software testing 101 people. Calling our pool store today to recommend that they stop carrying these products.

Love the App but move the stop/start button!!!
App is great but did the app designer ever actualkyvuae the app because in order to switch apps on iPhone you have to swipe up and if you are not precise you hit the stop button and have to start your cycle all over. Come on really it never occurred to you. The iPhone is probbalybone of the. Most popular phones in the world and you out the stop button right where you need to swipe to change apps on your phone. Monumentally stupid. Change that asap!!!

The cleaning robot - 5-Star. The App - 2-Star
Although I’m only on day three with the robot and app i have already been instructed to uninstall and reinstall the app. Even after uninstalling, reinstalling the app , it cannot reliably start or stop the robot. I cannot select the cleaning mode. It’s stuck on regular, any other selection fails to work. I find it difficult to understand how Maytronics can allow an app o such poor quality be the daily interface of the company. I’m really worried I bought the wrong robot.

Works great for the most part
I’ve had it about a week so far. It does really well. It would be nice if there were an easy way to retrieve it from the pool. Now and then it gets hung up on steps, but it will free itself within a short time. It says it has smart navigation to get the whole pool, but watching it, it looks pretty random, will with enough time it gets it all.

Recent improvements
The app has stabilized with the latest version update. Previously I was having trouble staying connected to my Wi-Fi network. It now works as it should and I’m happy. As far as the pool vacuum itself, I am amazed how much it picks up off the floor of my pool and covers every square inch. Keep up the great work!

Love it.
So, I made this purchase via numerous searches regarding multiple vacuums. Some how always came back to this one. Although pricey, I went with it. What a life saver this summer. Very easy to set up and use. Love the app feature. So far it’s been in use since may 2022. Pretty much 3-4 days a week.

Very Poorly designed app
This app is so poorly written it does not support if you have an equipment failure. I had the power supply fail and they sent in a new power supply but the app does not support this and does not allow you to remove the cleaner and start again but instead puts you in a viscous circle and you can not get out of with the app. Ridiculous!!!! I am now on hold with customer support for the third time. And the wait time is at least 30 to 60 minute. This company makes great hardware but their software is horrible.

App has a glitch and does not allow you to connect
I downloaded this app and tried to connect it to my pool vacuum, following all instructions. When my phone found the device via Bluetooth it instructed me to “tap on your robot image to connect,” but touching the picture does nothing! There are no buttons to press on the screen, so I get stuck there and can’t continue. I tried going back and also reloading the app and the same problem occurs every time. This app needs to be fixed. It is unusable.

Nice But No Landscape Mode On iPad
I use every other app in landscape but for some reason MyDolphin Plus only does portrait mode. I have my iPad mounted on the wall to control my pool so flipping it to portrait is easy or efficient. Other than that, the app works great. It doesn’t connect to the vacuum most times, but that’s due to it being unable to use a mesh network. That’s not the fault of the app. Fix landscape and I’ll bump it up to 5 stars.

Unreliable
To say it doesn’t work half the time is saying it works better than it does. Maytronics is mediocre at best. They cost a premium and yet are totally unreliable. I’ve had 3 over the years, my latest one cost almost $3k, thinking the more expensive unit will be more reliable like a commercial product. I am proved wrong. Continually sending them to Atlanta for warranty repair just stinks. The app is terrible they need to hire people that know how to make these things work, maybe recruit some Apple or other proven successful people?!

My pool looks great
My pool has stayed very clean. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the power supply doesn’t want to connect to my 5G network. That, and I would love to be able to schedule it to start at different times for different days. As of now, the scheduling options are a little bit limited but it’s still very good.

My dolphin pool cleaner app nt working
This review is for the app. This is my second season with the pool cleaner. It’s ok. It’s not good at getting the small stuff. There should also be a sensor to let it know if the pool floor is actually clean. But the app is worse. Now it won’t even open. It just spins. But when it did “work,” all the options did not work. Trying to drive the pool cleaner to a specific area is a joke. You basically could just change the length of time it cleaned the pool. But it should clean until the pool is actually clean.

Robot is not responding
All of the sudden, after starting a cleaning cycle the app displays a “Robot is not responding” error page. I tried power cycling the controller which didn’t help. Tried disconnecting the robot using the app and setting it all up again; didn’t help. Finally I deleted the app and downloaded it again but still didn’t help. Looks like I can run a cycle from the controller but the app appears useless. Please fix this buggy app.

Choose how good do you want your pool to look?
Had a water Polaris for 10 years did a good job, but hose always was tangled, This unit is well worth the money Dolphin 30 is the best. Plus you can start and stop with your phone. Why buy any other!! Also easy clean basket holds a lot.

Good when it works
The app is good when it works. It’s nothing special but nice to be able to pick cleaning mode (all, floor only, etc). However it frequently will not load for me which is frustrating. Even though I can still turn it on from the physical base, it’s frustrating that I can’t pick the mode or choose quick clean without the app

Great Cleaning Robot
We’re in our third season using the Dolphin robot to clean our pool. So it remains durable unlike a previous robot we had. Our pool is in ground 18’ x 36’, with a vinyl liner. Love the fact that the app works off your phone. And cleaning the filters after a cleaning session is a breeze. We have had very good success with cleaning both the floor and sides of the pool. After it’s done cleaning, once you go in the pool you don’t feel and dirt remaining with your feet. This system is a pretty much set it up and then forget it for the cleaning cycle which I appreciate.

Easy pool care
I always dread opening of my pool. The clean up after a winters collection of debris takes forever. Now run a 2 hour cycle empty the bucket and repeat could not be any easier. Saves on water because I always had to back wash the filter. Love my pool girl.

Weekly program is my choice for this robot since I leave it in all summer long. No work once it is setup. Extra cycle as simple as grab the phone start the program or outside, just press the big button.

Dolphin review
I love my dolphin because it saves me a lot of time and effort where I could be doing something else. I’m 70 and I enjoy the freedom to do other things while my pool is being cleaned. One thing that could have been done better is The detangling of the power cord it’s always a hassle to put it away!

Great cleaner! Horrible app.
First, the cleaner itself is amazing and does a thorough job! However the Mobile App is next to worthless. You have zero control over your cleaning schedule other than setting up the periods of cleaning. Daily. Every 2 days. Every 3 days. Really? That’s it? No control to Determine how long it cleans? Or multiple times a day? No way to find past cleaning cycles? Review the Mobile Apps for iRoomba and learn how to develop automation application software. Sheesh. It feels like the software developers who created the app are Freshmen in college with no real world experience of the requirements of a pool cleaner. I had more automation settings within IAquaLink controlling my Polaris cleaner. Again great cleaning product, horrible app design. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Hey guys, This is A no-brainer don’t waste your time hurry up and get this pool cleaner I’m only sorry that I waited so many years to upgrade from my regular dolphin pool cleaner to this new one, this one is so easy and it works very well and very fast, and emptying the pool debris from the bottom of the pool is so much easier in this one basket design.

Omg, Bob, my T45 Dolphin is incredibly efficient. He brushes and sweeps impeccably the floor and drain. Wall and tiles are also well taking care of. Round steps give Bob a bit of a challenge. This T45 does almost 90% of my 14 yard swimming pool cleaning maintenance. The rest is the skimming part. Highly recommend this beast if you wanna have a lazy summer.

Horrible app, great pool cleaner
This has to be one of the worst apps in the App Store. It constantly loses connection with the robotic pool cleaner. We have tried everything to get this app to work correctly to no avail. I would suggest not buying a maytronics pool cleaner just because the app is so bad. Been this way for the last couple years and the developers don’t seem to care enough to update it and fix it. Charge a fortune for the pool cleaner but no way to control it properly.

App Bugs
After less than 1 season of use the app has stopped functioning. Each time I open the app I receive the error message “Robot is not responding” which leaves me with zero functionality. After researching online this is a common problem and the only suggested fix is to ship the unit back to the manufacturer at my expense. Please fix these technology issues as the technology was a primary selling point for this vacuum!

Absolute garbage app. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM MAYTRONICS IF YOU NEED TO CONTROL IT REMOTELY Won’t stay connected to internet router 6 ft from the Dolphin Sigma robot power supply. App Always says “ Connection error The cloud cannot talk to the robot, make sure the power supply is connected to the internet and electrical outlet and try again” The only way to fix the problem is to unplug and replig the power supply power cord. Then the app MIGHT communicate with the robot long enough to start a cleaning cycle. This is NOT a problem with my wifi router AT ALL…so, Maytronics, don’t make lame excuses for your defective app! Bluetooth doesn’t seem to work AT ALL! What’s the point of a wifi-enable device if it can’t do what even the CHEAPEST wifi tech sold today can manage — STAY CONNECTED?
