There’s a lot of potential

It’s a little buggy right now, but there’s a lot of potential. It’s a pity that you require one iOS device for each person that you’re translating however, this is a game changer for people with hearing disability.

Will keep using for now

It was very hit or miss today. My girlfriend is Colombian and thought this would be easier for her, she sometimes needs to use more complex Spanish that I don’t know yet. The translation would just pause and sometimes just plain stop working. We would have to keep resetting the app to get it to work for only a few minutes. I’ll keep it for now and update rating if they can smooth things out.

Good idea

The interface is a little weird as it only shows one line of text at a time and only picks up my voice instead of the other person who I’m FaceTiming with. Which is why I wanted this app to be able to see what the other person is saying. Maybe add more of a better subtitle format and make it so my voice isn’t picked up only the recipients voice.

It’s a great start!

Just tried the SharePlay feature and it was great. Live text appeared in 0.5secs. Although the accuracy of some words were a bit off, it was a great experience.

Fantastic!

Just got the app and love it! Helps my mom when mirrored on the tv. And my sister can turn the volume down. The call devolved into fits of laughter every time more than one person talked. Some of the stuff that came on the screen was hilarious!! I would like it if the side that doesn’t need it can just have the full size video. But it’s not bad. Just a thought. Keep up the great work! Mark

Extremely happy with Navi

My dad has been isolated in a hospital where he lost his hearing. This is finally a solution for us so we can have real conversation with him. THANK YOU NAVI.

Just doesn’t work

Paid for a subscription to try out this pay walled app and even after buying it, nothing worked. It seems like it needs a bit more work. You shouldnt be paying for this until it’s more polished.

So I paid nine dollars a month for this app and after the fact it then tells me that you need other people to also have the app for it to work then when I go into the settings, it only has English, so I don’t understand how this is a translation app, when it only has one language

Wonderful App for the Hearing Impaired!

It’s a pity Apple changed their API in a way that prevents it from working. Here’s hoping that they make a way for it to work again!

Not good

The set up is not intuitive and there are no instructions. I could only connect to the devices in immediate vicinity, using it with someone not around me was impossible. SharePlay doesn’t work. This was one of the most frustrating app experiences I ever had. Do yourself a favor and use google translate.

Does not work on vision pro

Very cool concept but sadly doesn’t work on Vision Pro. I hope they fix the issue because this app could be great

Poor explanation of how to use

Could not get captions, but they we’re on the receivers side. Which defeats the purpose since I’m the deaf one.

Can’t select speech recognition

UPDATE! This is a great app. The update fixed the problem. Thanks devs! UPDATE! The developer reached out and was unaware of the problem. He submitted an update but also suggested I reduce my text size. I can’t do that because I need the larger text. Hopefully the update will fix that. I think this is a great idea but there is a black bar over the option to allow speech recognition. I can’t go any farther into the app for any settings etc.vs!
