New American Funding

Not being able to pay from separate payment sources like a split payment sometimes makes it difficult to pay on time. Please add the ability to make this possible. Nothing more frustrating then having the full amount of payment and not having the ability to pay from two accounts at the same time.

I wish you could do a number of things that the app doesn’t let you currently do. 1. Make split payments with custom amounts per source 2. Make custom sized payment amounts and be able to direct the payment where desired 3. Make weekend payments that show they were at least scheduled on time Number 2 in particular is goofy that the app doesn’t allow this, as the desktop login allows you to make extra or custom sized payments, but the app only allows for uniform full-size payments. Number 3 is worrisome that this can’t be done - I once tried to make a payment scheduled for Jan 1, the day it was due, but due to both holiday and the weekend, it wouldn’t allow me and I had to wait until something like the 3rd or 4th, *even though I had the funds to make said payment ON TIME*. Please add these features? Otherwise, the app is fairly smooth and simple enough, once you set up the login which is a bit painful and takes a while after you signed your loan.

I wanted to use this app, but it’s unusable. When you first sign up and register, it requests a passcode with certain requirements, but then it rejects that passcode saying it doesn’t meet a different set of requirements. The two sets of requirements don’t overlap (different stated rules for required characters), so it’s impossible to choose a password that both lets you enter it by clicking the “Finish” button and doesn’t get rejected. It is therefore impossible to register in the app. Why make an app that can’t be logged into? Wanted to use this - am I going to just have to call in or use their website each month?

I don’t like that you can’t schedule a payment for a weekend day. Granted, I think you get a week or 2 for a grace period, but it would be nice when I schedule a bill to pay on the due date that it would actually be recorded that I made the payment on the correct date not 2 days later. It should not be my fault that your software doesn’t work on the weekend! And why not - it’s software not a person!

Every time I use the app I think to myself I wish all the apps I use were this user friendly. Thank you for putting in the time and effort and care to make this app quick and effective. These days we are so busy and to be able to handle your business efficiently is a blessing beyond measure. I’m happy to be in business with a company that realizes the value of our time. So thank you to everyone who contributed. ❤️❤️

Thank you NAF I have called at least 3x’s yesterday and once this morning, each time I called your customer service representatives have been superb excellent customer service! I’m a senior and sometimes this dang technology gets on my nerves 😃 so I thank you for your patience and NAF for great training 👍🏽

UPDATE- NAF was able to resolved the problem and now I’m able to login, I really like the new update. I refinanced my loan and after adding new loan to my account I cannot longer access to it. I get a message saying my account status is limiting my access to contact support and when I called the number they have no idea why I’m getting this message ughh

I’m never notified when my password expires. When the password expires my saved information to log in no longer works. Password reset does not work and I have to spend more time on the phone getting it reset! What an inconvenience

Still didn’t add the function to make half payments. Sometimes us single parents need that; then on top of that you took off the customer service number from the app. Who does that?!? Either add the half payment thing or put the phone number back in app. I had to Google it then had to get transferred like 3 times before I could even make a payment. Smh

What’s the point of having a Face ID option if it doesn’t even work? I selected allow Face ID during log in, but every time after that, I still have to manually log in. I know, first world problem, but I put long passwords for security and rely on Face ID to save me the time.

This app is useless... I have a registered account already , using those credentials I can login fine from website.. but this app doesn’t recognize my credentials and gives a message “register the account and try again”

This mortgage company is probably the best mortgage company I have ever worked with. Their customer service is top notch and their loan officers really work with you to close your loan and move into the home of your dreams!! Thank you New American Funding for helping me get the home of my dreams!!

App logs me in just fine after registering. I think all the people giving the app one star because they can’t login may be trying to use their website login which does not seem to be linked to the app. No worries - registering on the app is really quick and easy

I am so happy to have found this mortgage company!! I was given 30 days to move out of a rental (that I’d been renting for 6 years), and this company closed my loan in 35 days! I’m still in awe! Thank you New American Funding! You saved my life!

I love the app. I have all my loan information at hand , organized and making my mi they payments has never been so easy , just pushing a bottom . Love it.

We used the app for 4 years with no issue and now with a new message login is no longer valid, please call customer service. We call and still can’t log in. It made no sense why our login quit working, it should’ve been seamless. We tried making a new login and still not able to login. It’s ridiculous. Please fix the app, it really makes it easy to keep up with your loan.

I read other reviews saying it keeps giving an error message. Company replied CLAIMING it has been fixed, so I downloaded it. Guess what??? After registering EXACTLY the way it said to, I go to pay my mortgage, and.....ERROR MESSAGE!!! 😡😡😡

The portal is very easy to use and the terms and conditions are a little more than a page long. Common sense and efficient approach to the payment process!

I think it is unfair when trying to make payment on App or Online that the payment date won’t allow me to enter the actual date I am making the payment. It’s 3:05pm on a Saturday, April 15, 2023. My payment is due no later than April 16th before a late fee is to incur. However, online nor the app will accept my payment on the 15th. I have never paid late, so I will be calling to get the late fee waived.

Logging in isn’t a problem, the app it’s self is great but when it comes to trying to make a payment it says “something went wrong please try again later” Ummm its been 3 days how much longer do I have to wait for it to work!? It usually works the next day when it gives me this message!! PLEASE FIX THISS!!!

Quit making me change my password!! It’s safer in my opinion to keep your password the same…. I should have the option to leave it the same

I am having trouble using the mobile app for the last frew months. The desktop version of the portal works. I tried redownloading the app and logging in with my credentials (that works from the desktop app), but no luck. It just errors out with a message saying that the login is not recognized. Really need more attention to be paid to the app, since it is the most used when it comes to managing my loan account.

Awful app & company overall to manage & pay mortgages. Multiple people have reported logon issues for years & no resolution.

Login and account access are simple. Made my first mortgage payment via the app without any issues. Intuitive. Simplified.

Had to register first but once in this makes paying my mortgage much easier. I like the ways to save options it shows and the equity and home value estimates are pretty awesome.

This app is really cool and has a lot of information to help make informed decisions about your mortgage. I highly recommend using it as it is not difficult to set up and use!

It is very painful try to sign up mobile app! 5 attempt and the app did not clearly indicate you have to click on terms and privacy to be able to check on the box! After that still gives error message! Have to call and be advised to erase the app and re download it! Not very user friendly web design!

Easy way to made a monthly payment on time

I got a response stating that you will need to create a new login to use the app, as you can not use the same login that you use on the main Website. That fixed my issue. App seems pretty clean.

First time tried setting app up, and it won’t let me complete registration. Get to the very end, with a user name and acceptable password, but the FINISH button stays grayed out (well, it’s light blue, but never becomes active). Three times through and no dice. Yes, the slider on that page is slid to the correct position. Will try again, but based on the reviews on here, resigned to not using this app. SMH.

It is very confusing to already have an online account and need another login just for the app. This is the FIRST app I have ever seen that does that nonsense. I will say it is easier to make an extra payment on the app rather than the web page.

It makes ZERO sense how when you click on the “forgot my password” link to try and reset the password you FORGOT how at the end of the whole process to reset it, it asks for the old FORGOTTEN password... HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE ?? Maybe someone with two chromosomes can fix the issue since a idiot made it to where you have to somehow magically remember the forgotten password to make a new one.

I have three houses all funded by New American funding. And yet the app only shows me one and there is no way to add the other two. I also already have my accounts set up to be paid automatically. But the app does not indicate that and wants me to set up a new payment method.

When I first downloaded this app it worked great. Now every time I try to log in I get messages like “are you sure you have registered” or “ username/password incorrect” (even though I using my touch ID because I have logged on before). I have no idea why the app stopped working but it is very frustrating.

It will work initially but then after a few days will not recognize the user name or password. And if you try to recover it tells you to make the phone call instead. Getting tired of the runaround so I deleted the app. Do not take the time until they come out with a fix. I have an Apple iPhone

I downloaded this app it worked great for me. But when I upgraded my phone The app doesn’t allow me to log in now... I have called and never connected with anyone who could help I even deleted the app and reinstalled it and it still doesn’t work...

It was much better app previously and after update, it is all garbage. You can not find your statement in there. I am Looking for tax statement but can’t download from their website and app. I called few times and no one is there to answer. Pathetic (period).

Using this app has made it so much easier for me to make my mortgage payments and I’m loving it!

The old version of the app was WAY better. New app has half the information, just a place to facilitate transactions.

Most of the info on here is super helpful, but as of right now the neighborhood comps all say $0. Having that actual data would be very helpful.

After two rounds with customer service I still don't have access and they're going to have to delete my account so I can start over. I loved the app when I had my last loan with New American. Sounds like a lot of people have called complaining. New American please get a new designer.

If I could give it a 0 I would. Every time I try making a payment it won’t let me. And it will make be late now. It freezes at the point where I want to make a payment.

When you go to create a profile, it tells you you need to use a special character. Then when you select a special character is says they are not allowed. Ridiculous.

Similar experiences to other reviewers. It worked for a year until a couple months ago. Now says I have to register. I have reached out to CS. Didn’t provide solution. Please fix soon. Happy to change my rating when fixed.

I tried making several payments using the app but I don’t see them on my account. Trying to call to ensure all payments did not go through.
