I purchased 2 of these. One for my daughter with a new baby and she has cats and one for me. I have allergies and so does everyone else in my family. I have noticed a difference in the air quality almost immediately after only one day. The unit is very easy to clean and it eliminates odors very quickly within a room on average about 30 seconds. The whole 15’X19’ large room smells good again. The household with cats had a constant litter box odor and now no one smells any of that. I gave this a 4 star because I have a very hard time setting up the remote access in the app on my iPhone. The power has gone out about 4 times in our house over the past year and when it does the unit loses communication with the app. It usually takes 5 or 6 times of going through the process before it finally connects. The directions seem easy but in reality it seems only by luck the unit connects! Very frustrating to say the least. Overall I’m happy with how the air quality in our home is better and the germs have been Eliminated!
The machine is great- the app works perfectly right now on my iPhone 14. Last time I updated the app it no longer had anything to do with the air purifier only cooking things. I emailed them immediately and the next day the problem was corrected. I’m just afraid to update now Aug 26, 2023 for fear I might lose access to my air purifier again. I would purchase this machine again and recommend it to friends and family with a caution about the app.
The app is absolutely terrible. We have frequent Internet outages. Every time the Internet goes out the app won’t shut off you have to uninstall and reinstall it clear the cache i’ve had the purifier in less than a month and this is the third time that the app is stuck in and it won’t shut off. I still haven’t been able to get it shut off since our Internet went out last night for about five minutes getting sick and tired of trying to get this app to work. I have an iPhone XR so I shouldn’t be having these issues it’s still stuck on even as I write this review, I cannot get the app to shut off. I’ve tried resetting the Wi-Fi on the purifier, powering it off and plugging it. Everything you can think of still stuck on.
Have new pro smart oven so installed app. After putting ipad on 2.4 connected to wifi but took 2 attempts. Initial use of app could never get start button to start oven. Wattage button worked. As I always do switched ipad device back to 5.1. App said device disconnected which is bad. Normally all I need to do is put a device on network then router works between devices. Not with this app. Went back to 2.4. Opened app and home screen just spins looking. Doesn't give way to stop search or add oven again. App totally hung. Deleted app, reinstalled with same results. Doubt if I would have used app much, but good thing since it doesn't work on modern wifi system
I experienced two other brands of air purifiers. But so far I find that the NuWave air purifier has really made me more comfortable with the money that sacrificed purchasing it. It was so far worth it. I have upper respiratory problems and the sir in my home is great.
The app is not responding. I just signed up and it says my email is incorrect. I checked the email and it’s the same email I’ve had for years and yes it was input correctly. I tried to put in another email I have but the app will not let me get in to change to a different email. I have the unit set to auto. It has not come on since I took it out of the box and hour ago. It should come on because I spilt an essential oil and the smell is over whelming but the unit still has not come on. Not sure what’s going on. I sure don’t want to return the unit it was $389 and such a pain to return it.
This app needs to be completely overhauled. Either the instructions were badly written or the programmer deliberately set the app to function on the 2.6G bandwidth which is practically obsolete these days. Aside from the fact that the app is extremely intrusive with collecting your personal data. Such as router and email passwords your location etc. in a way that you can be found at any time even if you don’t want to be. I’m kind of glad it isn’t working with my system as I am not imputing so much personal info into that app. I feel like they are spying on their customers. Never got it to work even when I tried. Shame on you NuWave
The app does not work every well, I tired to turn up the fan speed and it does not allow you to confirm. I love the product, but do not tell me I can control the device and I’m only able to control certain parts of the device. I’m about to turn off the machine, go from auto mode to ultimate clean. But when it come to trying to change the speed, time or turbo, the app does not respond. I have Apple devices if that makes a difference. I tried both on my iPad and iPhone.
I have no idea why this app is receiving positive reviews. The reviews seem to be for various products and not for the app itself. Adding family members is not working. I have been unsuccessful adding a second oven in a second home. It refused to connect to WIFI so ended up uninstalling the app and then I started over. It worked this time, so perhaps it really doesn’t support two ovens at two homes. Adding another family member required entering my “account”. There’s no info about what this refers to.
I’ve reconnected my purifier to my device about 6 times now in the last 3 weeks. Everyday I wake up it’s a mystery if it will randomly be deleted or stay. This has nothing to do with my devices Bluetooth or homes Wi-Fi. I have gigabit Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. This issue has never been an issue until about 3 months ago. Please fix the app. So many things have been ruined since the cooking issues.
One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. It does not work. App instructions are incorrect. Tells you to press buttons on the machine that don’t exist and the instructions don’t make sense. The reset process is convoluted and the machine itself is noisy even on lowest fan speed. NuWave needs to redesign this app from the ground up.
Version 2.0.3 results in “Failed to Load” for Air Purifier
As of version 2.0.3 the app no longer works for me with my air purifier. Any attempt to reach the air purifier results in a warning stating “Failed to Load”. Removing and adding the purifier again does not help. The interface remains super clunky, but now is completely non-functional. Avoid this update at all costs.
The app loaded and connected to the oxypure, but none of the app functions work except for turning the machine off and on, and it will change between auto and ultimate clean but only if I’m standing directly in front of it. Fan speed adjustments don’t work and timer adjustments don’t work.
Since the app update it won’t let me use it until I grant location permissions to always. Why does an app for a air purifier need to know my location always or at all. Deleted app and won’t be reinstalled until this changes. Thanks but NO thanks
App was working fine until the last update, then the two units no longer work with the app. I deleted the device and added them back but each time I tried to open the device I get an error ‘fail to load’
What happened to the app it automatically updates to the latest version and now it doesn’t even connect to my new wave air cleaner. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Kind of useless now
This app worked great until the Dec 30,2021 update.
After the update, any device now states “failed to load” I attempted to remove and redownload the app and also removed and reconnected my device. Still Recieving “failed to load”
The device won’t connect with any of the various methods given. Thought it was me until I read all the one star reviews by people having the same problem. Fix your app!
When I tap on my device within the app it “says failed to load” and I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and decide within the app. Please fix this version.
Wish I could get it to connect to my NuWave air filter!
Believe I’ve done everything I need to do with the app to get it to connect to my NuWave air filter but still says it’s not connected and can’t find any way to get it to connect? Unfortunately this app is useless to me so far!
It does not connect directly to your router, it asking to connect to Smartlife-xxxx first but you don’t know what is the password for it . Spend lots of time , but no luck. In their manual no mention of it .
Very unreliable app. Every time we lose internet connection - which is OFTEN with Cox - app cannot reconnect. I am so tired of deleting app & adding device back.
How am I supposed to use my new air purifier’s “amazing” remote features when your app won’t even open. It crashed within a quarter of a second. So cheap.
Terrible application Big brother location detection why?
This is a terrible app very hard to get Bluetooth to connect to your device and I am an IT expert this app needs a lot of work tryed to connection from my iPad and android phone no success. Why does this need to know you location it kind of freaks me out that a air purifier is going big brother spying on me not cool. Nowthe machine is probably the best on the market but the app is very big brother very creepy why does it need to know my location does it have some kind of poison gas container that releases upon command? Creepy location detection do not use app!!!!!! Why are you filtering your reviews is that not biasedUntrustworthy to the Consumer? Keep in mind this product machine is the best on the market
I am really nervous about the purchase of this air purifier. This app doesn’t not even open, and it isn’t available on the Google Play store like the instruction manual says. The QR code I should have been able to scan to register the unit doesn’t work, either. I can get to the registration page, but the serial number is blank, and I can’t get into the field to enter the actual digits. Utterly ridiculous.
