A redesigned app is desperately needed; this one is practically useless. When there is an outage, there needs to be a straightforward way to report it. This program was developed by PP&L’s best and brightest? Heaven help us who depend on them for energy. Endless looping and messages that don’t pertain to the stricken area do not help at all. Anybody there know how to program? Anybody there know how to respond? I’m betting not from what I’ve experienced. A disappointed and frustrated customer and former BPA employee. Shame on you. (Two stars for spelling Pacific Power correctly.)
If I could give this a huge zero I absolutely would! At first it was great but something changed & now ive spent 2 months trying to get back on it. Password or ID number doesn’t match, so i called them & got their help. Signed on & things were great. Next week go to sign on & password don’t match. Tried to fix it on my own & again had to call them & again change my password. Took them 20 minutes to get a password the app would accept. Wrote it down of coarse, signed off & signed back on with the rep still on the phone. Went through great was back on. Hang up from her & decided to try again & again password unacceptable. Since then I’ve tried several more times. Im so done with this CR-APP!! Im deleting the app once I’m done with this review. Everything was fine until they had to go mess it up!
I’ve used this app for almost a year. Each and every month it resets so it no longer recognizes facial ID. Why even offer biometrics if it resets every time this requiring complete userid and password? So frustrating. Add to that the oft requirement of choosing a new password (every month I get the same message when face id doesn’t work “We have updated our security guidelines. Please choose a new password.” EVERY MONTH! I think it’s time to return to a paper bill and a check mailed payment. It will allow Pacific Power to recognize the pain of inefficiency and, perhaps, fix the digital access.
As a customer of Pacific Power I was hoping for an easier way to gain access of my account through an app. Unfortunately, there was no way for me to update my email address on the app. When I was locked out I called the number that I was redirect to and wasn’t given helpful information. Now, I’m going to have to resign up as a new user.
Login needs to enter password every time even with facial recognition
Every time I login to pay my bill on my app on my phone I login with my facial ID and then I have to sign in and it’s always ask me a password nothing will be remembered and if you forgot your password, they will send you a link to your email address and when you click the link that does not work figure this one out!!!!
I used this app to report a power outage at my rural home. It was repaired in about an hour and ended up a rodent had chewed the transmitter at the bottom of the driveway. The PPL service guy drove up to the house to check that power was on. They will be back in s week for further rodent incasement. The App worked GREAT and the service was awesome. Thank you PPL!
This app hasn’t worked properly for years. Every time I go to sign in it says I need to enable Face recognition. I sign in and enable face recognition but next time I go to sign in it says again that I need to enable face recognition. It’s easier just to log in on the website which doesn’t have the issues the useless app has.
Makes life easy! As a millennial, i can tell you the app makes payment super easy! It’s convenient, easy to use! I may be a millennial, but I pay my own bills and this app makes it super easy to make the payments on time!
This app used to be fine - nothing special, but no major complaints. However, I can’t even log into my account anymore so I am forced to use their website. If users can’t log in to their account, it doesn’t matter if it’s the most amazing app experience in the world. Would give zero stars if I could.
Signing in is terrible, Face ID works sometimes or not at all. What’s the point of having it if it doesn’t work correctly. It’s been like this for years.
This app makes you change your password once a week. It is the worst and most irritating app I have ever had on my phone. You would think that a company like pacific power would try a little harder to no have such a poorly designed app. I would be embarrassed to have this represent my company. No stars!
Every time I go to use this it tells me I have to log in to use the facial recognition. Why have it if it resets every 30 days when it’s an app people use to pay a bill once a month? This is extremely aggravating! Every month I have to make a new password
This app offers facial recognition but it doesn’t actually work. Looking at the other reviews, this has been a problem for more than 2 years. Is anyone at Pacific Power even paying attention to these reviews?!
Face recognition never works. Makes you manually log in each time just to get it to work. Doesn’t need to be this secure since I’m never going to worry about someone logging into my account to pay my bill for me since that’s all this app is for.
The app will not remember my password. That’s literally all I care about. Every time I log in it asks to use biometrics? Does not work. Won’t remember my password or login even if not using biometrics. Is anyone else having this problem? Every single month! It’s infuriating. That’s all.
This app is completely useless now and will not work. In fact, you cannot access any info if you have an iOS older than 14. Not everyone updates their iOS to the latest and ‘greatest.’ Thanks for nothing PP.
It constantly signs me out and it doesn’t give me an actual link to reset my password. The email just contains a link to login online. The reset password link that should be there just isn’t. Terrible app and not accessible
I keep trying to create a new account on this app so I can keep track of my new bill but every time I create a password it won’t accept it. I follow the instructions and case sensitivity, but it just won’t allow me to create a profile. It’s a bit frustrating.
Wouldn’t even let me finish the activation. Just kept taking me in circles. The link provided kept taking me to the sign in page but wouldn’t let me finish the activation. Messed with it for half an hour and deleted it.
This is the most frustrating app!!! Face ID never works and then I’m always having to reset my password.. even though I have the correct one! Why did you make this so hard and, well- stupid?
SO MANY ISSUES! Data usage doesn’t work! Biometrics don’t work, you have to sign in wi to your psw EVERY time! Just try posting a comment, you can’t get out of that back to your account, & there isn’t a “post” button!
This app never works quite like it’s supposed to in reference to logging in. I’ve had frequent “lock outs” and failed Face ID logins. Almost never works. This app just isn’t as convenient as it should be.
The app has not worked in the last few months. Cannot get passed login screen. Computer works to get in via web. Update the app or take it down please.
“To continue using biometrics, please sign in again.” Every month. I only open the app once a month. Yeah, it’s a mild inconvenience, but why even offer the feature if it’s not going to be a feature.
The Face ID keeps resetting and requires the user to set up during every login. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it multiple times. But the settings keep getting reset.
This has to be the worst app I’ve ever used! It works about one time out of 30. I don’t know what they did to it recently. But it used to work fine. It’s time to figure it out!
Couldn't even create an account. Just says "does not match". Power outage reporting just returns an "unexpected error". Over and over again. Complete waste of time
This app is terrible. Pacific can power the entire the entire northwest but fails to make an app where I don’t have to reset my password every time I use it. Pathetic
Pacific Power uses a 3rd party to process debit cards. They charge 1.85, which is ridiculous! Unfortunately there is no mention of this charge when you download this app.
Terrible app! Useless!!! Will not allow sign in!!! Will not allow using facial recognition!!! Will not allow typing in of password, as "find password" covers where you would type in a password!!! What is wrong with your app design crew? You make this app appear to be fake or compromised!
