Good side job/could be a great full time job!
I have been doing Papa Pal for maybe a year or more. I think it is a great app and does really provide the help for those elderly in need. I have helped many clients in this app and they were really appreciated the help. I even had regulars for several months but unfortunately for some reason I no longer seen their request in the apps. There are some pros and cons to working with Papa Pal. The Pros are you can get paid within 1-2 days; also depends on your bank, the client hours are usually anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on client needs/hours left in the year, and my clients were usually about 5 to 15 mins away unless I chose a farther away client and you could potentially get a bonus if a client really needs help and they haven’t found anyone to fill that schedule. The Cons are that you can’t pick up clients back to back; the clients hours would overlap (they really need to make it where Pals can do back to back clients), the pay is like near minimum wage, I also would have like to help the clients with more than just cleaning. Sometimes if you get done with the task early the clients usually don’t need or want anything else but cleaning and you end up losing 30 mins or more of your 2 hours your scheduled for which is not good since your only there for 2 hours . So I really think if Papa adjusts a few things, and really takes the feedback into consideration this app would be 4 or 5 stars.

Great but needs work!
Ok so I have been working with this app for a few days and I think it could be better. I think it should allow us to take on job that are back to back. I only service a certain area and everyone I service is within a 10 to 15 min radius to me or each other. I am so detailed with my schedule that it annoys me to have so much open time on my schedule. We should also be allowed to take on and adjust schedules of clients, because as it stand so many of them get missed because they are close enough to someone servicing near by but it’s to close to or starts when one ends. Like if you finish with someone at 10 and some one right around the corner needed someone at 10 it shouldn’t be a problem to allow them to be picked up and made aware that the Pal is not to far away and if they are willing to allow the Pal up to 15 minute to reach them they could also get the services they need. Which would just adjust the schedule from 10 to 10:15 and the client still gets the help they need. I mean that would make sense that if a Pal wanted to help further they could. Which would cut down on individuals getting miss and neglected. Or at least allow booking 15 minutes apart not 30. I’m sure individuals who do these jobs know how to schedule themselves and how to navigate they areas on what’s best for the Pal and the Papa.

3/15 they stopped paying commute mileage to visit in MI
Sometimes I drive an hour to a visits and the commute mileage was helping me pay for car repairs. If they keep cutting ways for us to get income, they will keep losing papa pals. They changed the customer service phone line too so it’s more difficult to get help. Another note, I reported a member for sexual harassment and then I got a warning from papa pals about cancelling visits and punishments for it. But I refuse to go to an appointment that I’m being sexually harassed at. I only cancel if I’m having car problems, am sick, or was mistreated at an appointment. Sometimes I drop an appointment for a “preferred pal” visit, but I never do that last minute. I like helping people, but I need to be treated with respect and be able to make enough money to keep my car in good condition and pay all my other bills too. I am the only income in my home, and I don’t have anyone to rely on. It’s just me.

Papa pal App
1 star only because in-person jobs are visible . I am so very disappointed in this app or job. I love helping elderly and have always wanted to become part of the papa pal team. I’ve tried 1 year ago and got denied , tried again in 2021 one and they never responded to me . I tried again 6 months after and I never had to do any phone interview by recording myself which was much easier .I wanted to do virtual visits because it suits my kids school schedule and my lifestyle . Anyways I got approved over 1 week now and I’ve set up everything they told me to do even clicked on the link to some newest version they told me was out but it looks the same when I did the update nothing happened it brought me to the same old or new app I’ve already had . It’s been over 1 week and all I could see is in-person visit and I’ve clicked on virtuals, change the locations in all different range 5 miles, 25 and max it to 120 aswel yet still nothing happened. Still seeing in-person visits only and sometimes when I change the location to the 5 miles it’s still showing up to 76 . I am not enjoying this and customer care took forever to get back to me . I’ve a car but I do not love to drive I use my car only to get my kids from school . I prefer to do virtuals and maybe in the future when all is over with then I can trust to take anyone in my car or may have opened availability by then

Papa Pal review
I have been working for Papa Pal for a little over a year almost a year and a half now. I have some regulars that I see all the time and I fill in with other people that I don’t see all the time or even new people. I love that I can decide whether I want just companionship or to drive someone somewhere help with groceries or housework. Getting to choose which clients you don’t want to go to and the ones you do is very much a plus. The the money is an extra bonus to helping people get me out of the house a few hours a day. And the fact that we get paid within two days usually sometimes. Is really a great feature. I love being a Papa Pal and I think my members like having me by my personal request. You don’t have to deal with bosses you don’t have to talk to somebody or all the time on the phone. But if there is an issue with the client or with the booking, you can pick up the phone and call and it’s always resolved immediately. I would recommend Papa Pal to anyone who loves working with the elderly or handicapped or people who are shut in. It makes you feel good. And you make them feel even better and you get paid. Win-win.

Papa pal is the best
I am writing my review to say that every since April 21 of 2022 I have had nothing but maturity good experiences with this company. As normal you will have people that are a little bit absurd and then you have the people that are just amazing beautiful soul people and those of the people that I enjoy working with the most I have a lot of prefer pals that I enjoy seeing every day to hear a new story to be around in their life it’s a blessing more than anything. Doing Papa Pal👵🏽👨🏽‍🦳 has helped me out a lot personally and help me develop my characteristics a little more and definitely my social skills. I enjoy making my pals smile and just being a part of their day and live even if it is for two to maybe five hours every visit. Papa Pal👵🏽👨🏽‍🦳 is a first come first serve when it comes to visit they do have amazing bonuses that can range from 15 to 25 extra dollars on top of your regular pay depending on the state. Overall I encourage everybody to try Papa Pal👵🏽👨🏽‍🦳 you can work from various group ages from newborn to a wise elder.

Still no changes
I have started with PapaPal a couple of months ago. I have been having issues with this app for months. I have asked help several times and I have not still received the help that I needed. I have asked several times about the information link for signing up for Direct Deposit and I still have not received any help still and we are now in the month of December. I have called several times and the person that helped me are not sure how to help me. Meaning she does not know this and that. I have done my first call a couple of months during the time I have started and it dies not show proof of the person that I have contacted. I am mot understanding why I am not receiving the help that I am needing. This app needs to be rebooted because some of the features are not responsive to changes. Especially when I am trying to update my informations. This business has potential but it is making a lot of people deactivate there accounts. I would like to continue my services as a PRN caregiver. And it would also be nice to add more patients that live in the Houston area to be an option. This app needs to be fixed and promotes better with a state wide acceptance of services.

Great Idea……Super Poor Execution
After two or three months of trying to work for this company I finally had to give up and delete the app today. Sad, because I am exactly the kind of person they should be looking for. A recent retiree, not that interested in the money, looking to help people and have a flexible work schedule. But after many tries at booking visits I had about a 40% success rate and it started to get discouraging and annoying. It is common to book a visit one day and wake up the next day with the visit gone from your queue. The help desk verified the commonality of this and admitted that it can be discouraging. I also had a few members cancel the day before the visit. On top of that the app is a mess. I would suggest they immediately fire the company that supports the app and revamp it. Most of the visits, I would say 90% or so, are for ‘house chores’. You don’t get the details on exactly how in-depth the cleaning is until after you accept it. If you try to cancel it you are threatened with a warning that it may impact your ability to book more visits. On a positive note, it felt good to help people who need it. I had pretty good luck with the help desk but had to use it way too often. I was paid the proper amount quickly.

Re: App Update Not Working
I have recently joined papa and think the concept of the app is great for everyone especially the elderly in need. I have been back and forth sending support tickets to Papas support which have not been helpful at all. According to the papa app I downloaded to get started on boarding I am at the latest version of 1.45.0 and I have also prior to this review been asked to reset my phone completely (done), deleted the papa app (done), re-downloaded the app (done), and yet nothing has changed. App function is barely functioning and the supposed new payment portal (should be stripe) according to when I joined shows an older version as Support has alarmed me of. Support says write a ticket to support, call or use the chat and I gotta say, if customer support is this difficult to use or receive any help it may just not even be listed. I need to know what I can do to update my app where it is functioning like they say it should including the bug fixes that were mentioned here on app information. I will change my review ratings if or when this app is able to update and work. Developers, please help!

No problems whatsoever
If you're thinking about getting this app just do it. As long as you're eligible sign up and become a pal. I have met a lot of older folks and learnt so much from them plus there is a satisfaction that comes from knowing im making a positive difference in someone's life. If you're gonna sign up to be a pal, don't just do it for the money do it from a place of love. All the visits are in person and I promise they are worth it. So far I've only had one almost bad experience but I stayed calm, stood my listened and stayed to help the papa after a while they apologized and told me they were only disappointed that their usual pal didn't show up. Once you become a pal you matter to the people you meet, they always look forward to seeing you. I signed up and hesitated for a long while if this was meant for me and if it would be worth it but I have no regrets whatsoever😊

I absolutely live the job!
I would rate 5 stars for the job itself. They pay great for part time and I love how you create your own schedule. You are almost your own boss. I love working with the pals and knowing in helping others as a living. The only reason it’s 4 stars is because the app needs to be improved. It’s very slow like cancelling visits takes a while through the chat group. The biggest issue I have is leaving a review for the papa member themself. Unfortunately they make it so you can’t submit the review until you select a task you completed but some members don’t have any tasks to select! So it’s just constantly popping up when I refresh the app and is a reoccurring problem. Besides that I really really can say for once I love my job and love working with the members. I wish there was benefits and more members so this can be my life long career because I wouldn’t complain a day.

Working as a Pal at PapaPal
This is the most rewarding work. The members or Papa’s truly need help with little tasks they can’t do. If they didn’t have PapaPal they would dwell on the fact that they can no longer do it themselves. Which would make them sad or they would attempt to do these little tasks (like changing a lightbulb) they could hurt themselves. On top of this, they enjoy your companionship and they need this connection. It makes them happy and you will love hearing their stories. They have been where we are but we have not been where they are. They are very interesting and insightful. If you listen you will get much information that you can apply in your own life from their experience. This companionship also helps their health and extends their lives. PapaPal is the best service ever invented. For the Papa and the Pal! ❤️

It’s ok .
I love this app I like the fact that you get to do in person visit and if your not feeling to well you can also do virtual visits. What I don’t like is that once you have completed your visit it says go to my payment portal to view payment details. I feel like like the snout you was paid should b posted at the bottom of the visit. We shouldn’t have to b redirected to other page just to view the snout that visit was for. I also don’t like that we can’t respond to the customer support on the live chat. I also don’t like that we have to call or wait for customer service just to cancel an visit. And last but not least I hate that the system will show you right away how many visits you did but is slow to show how many hours you completed. You have to wait until you complete your next visit before the hours you did on the last visit shows up.

Good concept Needs work
Great concept!! I adore the elderly and work already as a caregiver. We need more info before accepting jobs however. Basic stuff to keep the worker & client safe: 1- does the client have a cat or dog in the home? Right now it just says “has pets” (personally I’m highly allergic to cats so I can’t visit anyone with one, but there is no way for me to know this ahead of time. Which means I would need to ask after booking. And then cancelling if there is a cat!) 2. (I.e., if the client is in a wheelchair this is important to know. Especially if we are driving the client somewhere.) 3- memory or other health concerns? (if we know in advance, pals are better prepared. I can bring a simple card game for a memory care client, or I’ll know not to have that granola bar if the client has food allergies) Also the pay is dismal- if you’re looking for a decent wage, try Instawork to be a dishwasher instead for $5 more an hour at least. For my state the pay is 75 cents above minimum wage. No customer service support- chat is a bot and when you get connected with a human they don’t answer your question if it’s not one of the preselected ones, and disconnect you. Like I said it’s an amazing concept, just needs more fine tuning.

Great working as a Papa Pal but app needs a lot of work!
I love working for Papa. The jobs is amazing, rewarding and there is a lot of seniors looking for some help. I live in Miami and there’s more than enough jobs to land. Everything is great, but the app needs a lot of work. First, it has this kind of felling like a cheap made app. The look and feel is just odd, is not neat or very well designed, graphically speaking. Its has a lot of errors, bugs and crashes. I mean, it works, but sometimes you just have to finds new ways or tricks to do your tasks in the app. I think there’s a lot of opportunities to improve and what I would like to see in the future is: 1. To be able to upload a profile picture 2. Better look and feel of the app 3. More filters when looking for visits like: preferred sex, language and more slot times. 4. Interactive map, where you can select on the map the visit that is more interesting to me to request. 5. Opportunity to have an in-chat section where you can communicate with the member and also from support. (Sometimes the link from chat support is broken). 6. Perks for levels 7. A rating system 8. And of course bugs, crashes and other technology stuff fixed.

Leaving the app !
Unfortunately ,my time is up with this app, I had enough. When I first started 6 months ago the app was all about companionship , running errands with member’s and small task . After I was sexually harassed by a 85 year old man ,I refused to visit any more males and only accept women .that was okay for a while until the app basically turned into a cleaning service . I have gone above and beyond trying to please the members but it seems they want more . I have refused to deep clean members home which a few seemed to have an issue with but others understood. Today I refused to clean a members tub and toilet and she went ape$%it 😐I ended the visit early and reported her . The pay isn’t worth it and it honestly feels like I’m a maid .its not worth my time .

Update violation policy
So , I have Been with papa pal for a long time. I never use to have problems until I started getting notices that I was canceling my shifts to close to date. What I do not understand is that if you can MAKE YOUR OWN schedule you then when I cancel a visit that I just excepted but saw someone else with more need or close to me then it papas should not be punished. Not only have a been watched as if I am not doing my job correctly I wasn’t even getting paid for mileage until I said something. Papa pal needs to understand while we are helping those in need. You have allowed all employees to make their own schedule and cancel if needed. If you do not like this, then why do papas get to cancel at the last minute or refuse to answer when called upon. Possibly because you are getting money from their insurance? Employees should get more grace.

Good idea, but narrow-minded in practice
I live in the city of Chicago, where more than 25% of households don’t own a car (and many more who do own one, don’t drive regularly). Most of our neighborhoods are wonderfully walkable, and our public transportation and bicycle infrastructure are some of the best in the nation, with improvements being made all the time. In fact, a lot of the time it’s faster and easier to get around the city by bike than it is by car. And in the winter when it snows, public transit is your best, most reliable bet, although many people here are year-round cyclists. Besides being wholly unnecessary, owning a car in a major city can also be very, very expensive — much more expensive than in other parts of the country. I have a valid ID and a clean background. Why on Earth do I need to own a car in order to visit the elderly and those in need? Maybe you’d have more caregivers if you didn’t exclude anyone who isn’t already affluent enough to own and maintain a vehicle. Plot twist: I do own a car, it is insured, and my driver license is current. However, I hardly ever drive and would not drive to these gigs. I don’t feel comfortable misrepresenting myself as a driver when I would be riding my bike, walking, or taking public transit. Do better, “Papa.”

Terrible support and Lies about Bonus
I just started using this app and it’s already the worst app ever, they kept reminding me about doing my first task so that me and the person that referred me can get our bonus, only for them to say they paused it months ago even though up to a weak before I did my first task they was saying I need to do a task to get bonus. Everything you have to do is on an external site or app, getting paid and even sending in an ticket to dispute something you haven’t use a whole different platform. They don’t have humans at the support number they have all they do is send you to their live chat that I’m positive is a bot because of how everyone of them responded to my question. Don’t waste your time with this app. SIDE NOTE: I looked for someone who was label as no pet only to go and see 2 big dogs at their house so they don’t even properly know how to screen their customers

Great platform!
This app provides a fabulous service, however, there are quite a few glitches to contend with, such as not being able to get in contact with support through the chat feature, because you are unable to respond. Also, it often drops calls as you begin a visit. It also gives a message saying “looks like you didn’t answer...” even though you did and if you wait to call at the exact start time, it causes you to be a few minutes late for the call, because you have to start over. It v would also be helpful to be able to add comments about the members when we complete visits, especially with someone you’ve spoken to several times.

Great Side Hustle/Part-Time Gig
I have been doing Papa Pal for several months. I enjoy meeting new people, helping the members and taking them where they need to go. They offer bonuses all the time and the hourly pay is getting better. You get reimbursed for mileage when you transport the members anywhere. The only thing I would ask them to change is still paying you for the time you have accepted for a visit. Because you can’t book back to back visits. So even if done a little early you should still be paid for that time that’s allotted for the visit. Other than that I love it. I have so many members that love me and request me all the time to come back to assist them.

Papa Pal worst
I love my new job helping the elderly with different tasks. Whether it’s a trip to the doctor or grocery store, making small meals, light house cleaning or whatever can be done to make their lives a bit easier, I’m ready to help. It’s so rewarding. And the pay and bonuses help too! The website, however needs work. It often does not work properly. The worst is there is not adequate training when your new and you can’t call and talk to a real person. All communication is through the website. They say you get paid for mileage but I’ve not been paid yet for it.

I signed up last night . I have a question which could not be answered by the chat robot . I was instructed to call. I called but did not receive the option to speak with someone and was directed back to the chat where again- there isn’t the option to discuss “other” Are you requiring your members to have the heart attack jab in order to qualify ? Why there isn’t the option to talk to anyone ? I see a huge problem with the fact that there is no live agent answering calls . I also don’t trust your “background check” that is stating my home address from over two years ago as my “current address” One other issue I am having is the pop up window every time I log in- asking me if I am “Covid 19 vaccinated” there isn’t an option to say I didn’t take the “safe and effective” jab.

Beyond frustrating
Frustrating that so many visits never happen. I will confirm a visit, wake up early only to find out my visit is canceled. When I had an asthma attack because a members home was full of cat waste, there was no one available to help me. The chat is useless and waiting for support on the phone takes 90 minutes to get though. Just drive 24 miles to a visit after trying to confirm to find out patient is in care facility and does not need visit. I drove over 48 miles total, 1.5 commute total for only 1 hour compensation to say sorry. I can’t pick up other calls last minute so my morning was a waste. I really want this service to work but it has only exposed me to constant hassle. I only stay on because I do have a regular patient that is an absolute pleasure and I continue to assist her.

My experience
I feel so excited for each visit I schedule with Papa clients. I am also saddened with the worry clients have because of the limited amount of hours offered as a benefit to them. I personally have been requested to return for visits with everyone I have met and have built trust and friendships. I am constantly reassuring them that we will make it work with the hours aloud to them I wish it could be a 2-3 hour each week visit for all clients not a limited 60 hours to the ones that are truly are alone, and have come to depend on us. I feel I need to do more.

A rewarding accomplishment!
PaPa Pals is a rewarding job helping the elderly run errands and house work that they can’t do and also young people who are disabled or just don’t drive and need to get around. It gives you a very happy feeling and knowing that you can build a trusting caring relationship with someone you just met and to get to know them by just a small conversation together and the best part about it all is that you get request from members and it makes you feel good that you are doing a great job and you should be proud of yourself and Your accomplishments that you are receiving at PaPa Pals.

Can’t even get past the interview
I have been trying for more than three days to get this interview section of the boarding to work I’ve been told to sign in into Zen desk and report the issue so that it can be resolved, but I’m having difficulty even doing that. I am very frustrated and a little bit saddened because I was really excited about experiencing helping people and now I’m having a difficult time it’s kind of making me feel like this is what I’m going to have to experience when I have a problem during my work I don’t want to have to deal with a lot of technical issues and don’t wanna have to lose money because of technical issues and honestly, this could be something great, but there are a lot of things that need to be worked out so far not so good !!!!

Excellent - needs a few things
Overall, this has brought a lot of joy to me. It’s wonderful to feel like you are helping people. However, the app should list the major challenges the client faces so you don’t have to ask so many personal questions. One profile I read just said, “dementia.” It didn’t include anything about the needs of spending four hours alone with someone who has a major health issue. PapaPals are not trained caseworkers, but the caseworker at least has the file. PapaPal also needs to get parking information. The Pal puts themself and their vehicle at risk riding into unknown environments.

Extremely disappointed in papa team.
I worked for papa pal for a couple of months, I had a lot of great pals the feeling were mutual. Unfortunately I came across a pal that was mentally unstable and she reported me for no reason. Papa pal’s response was disappointing because they did not give my any feed back and just kicked me out of the app.. now they won’t even tell me that this one person has got me fired. I had two pals that I was doing projects with it’s been over 3 months and when I try to log in it say’s account in review. I will never recommend this app to anyone. They are very unorganized, it’s sad because I just wanted to help older people but just because one person who was mentally sick decided she didn’t like me papa pal just ghosted me when I’ve been a loyal worker for them.

Still a few glitches but overall nice
I like the user friendly interface however a major glitch that I keep encountering is trying to update information such as adding a picture when I click on the appropriate action the app just shuts down. Also for some reason pals can’t book appointments more than 24 hours in advance and I’ve gotten a few error bugs when trying to confirm appointments only to find out that they were confirmed later. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Needs lots of work
Took me multiple messages to chat bot and redownloading the app to finally get to the part where you can schedule people. - Hide the last name of Pals, like Rover does - let us use preferred names- you literally have the legal name on registration, putting the full name can incite chaos - let us do profile pictures. Going in blind sounds terrifying - honestly a video chat option here would also be nice. I look very alternative and I haven’t booked a proper session yet based on the fear someone will get nasty with me based on my identity. People are saying you only get paid for the hours worked? If they paid for 3 hours and i finish quicker i should be able to keep that money. Also i had to stop the text messages. I set my radius as 5 miles and they kept sending me bookings that were 60 miles away. This would be nice if given all these features. I don’t know what the Papas see but i think it would be good to expand on the fact Pals aren’t CNAs and therefore can’t get you out of bed / bathe / etc. that’s another paranoia of mine is someone getting angry I’m not doing a $45+/hr trained specialty job for $17/hr

BEWARE IF YOU LIVE IN CA
I joined the app because my friend told me about it to make some extra money. I drove 80 miles (1 hour 35 min drive) to a visit and when I got paid for it I realized I was only paid for the visit itself and not the commute. I contacted support and they said they don’t pay for the commute In CA. What I was paid basically covers the gas I spent driving there, you’re basically working for free. They really don’t inform you of this as well because I told my friend that put me on to papa pal and she didn’t know either she was also upset because she had already done a couple visits driving an hour away and etc. Its not worth your gas or safety to work for a company that’s not showing appreciation through pay.

Needs BIG improvement
I was very excited to get started with papa, however this app is no good. I saw nothing but good reviews from the original app so why change it? It never shows me any available appointments no matter which distance, time availability or visit type I choose. My location on the map takes me to everywhere but where I am and for some weird reason I cannot login to tipalti which is where you put in banking info which seems very sketchy to me as well. I went it to try to delete bank info since I can’t get any jobs and I cant. This app has been a disappoint so far. Hope they can turn it around or someone can make me feel a little bit better about it.

Papa Pal Grandma
I visit the elderly and help with their household tasks. I’ve been doing this for a couple months and so far I like it. The pay is fair. I make $14 an hour and .56 per mile traveling one way. I’ve met a lot of super nice people and have made a few friends. It’s a good part time job that’s also rewarding. The Papa Pal company itself is well organized, very helpful and pleasant to work with. It’s pretty easy but I do think you have to pass a background check too.

Papa Pal is a low pay Cleaning Service
This app says that it’s all about helping the elderly — the last 3 visits I worked like a dog and deep cleaned the most grimiest / disgusting houses that was completely unsanitary and potentially health hazardous. I went to a few visits with infestation of roaches. Needless to say the visits are very far from your home, so unless you have a car you have no job. It was the worst experience and this should be considered a cleaning service! For 17 dollars an hour, it feels like exploitation. Papa Pal stop exploiting your workers and stop gaslighting people by telling them it’s a job for “companionship” - it’s not. It’s a low paying cleaning service. Never doing another gig for this app and glad to be out forever!

Horrible
An awful app. The concept and idea is there but there are so many issues that follow it. First the application process took weeks for some reason and I barely heard back from anyone about it. After I finally got accepted I started signing up for many virtual and in-person visits. The app has so many glitches I can even call my pals or they all don’t answer and I spend hours worth of time to not even get paid. I have virtual visits I signed up for but it doesn’t even let me accept them. Complete waste of time. I wish it worked and I could just spend time with the pals and make some money but it’s an awful app. No one supports or helps you through it either.

Please Fix App Issues
I’ve worked as a pal for over a year. The number one priority is keeping Papa’s and Pal’s safe. I nearly went to a registered sex offenders home. I was not able to confirm the visit after a few attempts. It was a fluke that I discovered he was a registered Sex Offender. Papal needs to do criminal background checks. The app has significant issues. It worked fairly well good for a while. It’s been months of having issues not receiving my requests from clients and jobs not showing period. It’s so frustrating. I love working with the elderly and their app shows either no jobs or very few jobs. Please fix. 🙁

Nobody available
The app is good and easy to use when it actually works. However, it seems as if nobody is ever available to actually talk with. It is not only a couple of cases. ALL of my attempts except for one has proven futile. Nobody is ever available when they're supposed to be. Most of the time I can't even leave a message to remind members that they were meant to have a visit at the appointed time There seems to be other bugs in this app because one of the members is stated as being 972 years old!

Papa pal makes a difference 🫶🏻
This is a very meaningful job, you truly make a difference in these peoples lives just being a Papa Pal . You’d be surprised how many of these individuals are so lonely and just looking for companionship. The pay is decent, but they offer great bonuses at times that really make it worth it. But if you’re looking to make long lasting friendships, and a meeting for work while being paid…. This is the job for you. ❤️

Interface is too choppy, and no visits available
I was hoping this app would be better than the first one released but I’m sorry to say that this app seems a bit confusing. Also when I’m going to different pages on the app it’s very choppy and slow. I really appreciate all the effort put into creating it but in my opinion the first Papa app was much more simpler to use and definitely easier on the eyes, albeit with some bugs here and there so I can say for sure that I prefer the former 100%. I’ve noticed as well that there are literally zero visits available for me to take up, I’m not sure why but I hope it gets fixed soon..

Papa pal opportunity
I have been with Papa Pal for 3 months now. I have been able to make a sufficient amount of surplus income while still being a full-time mom. The flexibility allows me to be here for my kids for all the important dates and while they are off from school. I am able to earn money and help others on my own time. I manage my hours and meet some great and sweet Papa Pal clients. This job is rewarding and a blessing.

Papa Pals Review
If you love helping others, and enjoy spending time with the elderly while working than this is definitely the job for you. Not only do you get paid to do something you love, but you make meaningful friendships along the way. I am so happy that I came across this app. Not only is the pay good, but the days and hours are so flexible. You choose when, where, and what you do. Who ever invented this is a genius!

Login Issues
I haven’t even gotten into the app yet an I have been having back to back issues. My mistake was I entered the wrong email address. I spoke with customer care, they informed to sign up again an use the correct email or email a certain department to fix the error I made, I’m waiting on a respond. I attempted to create a new login acct but I can’t do that because after i sign up, it keeps telling me to “download the app” AFTER I am already in the app signing up. So I am basically stuck. I repeatedly have to delete the app in order to get further in the process.

Nothing but a headache
I signed up to be a Papa Pal beings. I love helping others. This app has been nothing but a headache and customer service is even worse. I have been having a issue with my app not being able to find the virtual visits. An when I first signed up there was a lot, the second I signed up to do face to face visits as well all the virtual visits were gone vanished. I have been trying to get help for days and they all say the same thing. I tell them that doesn’t work and the leave the chat. Awful I was really hoping this would be good for me and my family bringing in a little extra cash.. being I stay at home with my kids.

A waste of time
I’ve did the complete hiring process and background check along with the motor vehicle check. Along did the initial interview which was basically telling you to download the app. After completion of these steps I was excited to get started and working. Didn’t happen , absolutely no jobs around my area and no one is doing any type of visitation. There is a few calls available but no one ever answers , so there a waste of time . Seems like a good idea but not practical . I am assuming the company is making big money for the virtual calls while they pay us $7.50 for 30 minutes .. ultimately I feels as if Papa is taking advantage of the users

App suggestions
It would be nice when you log in it would keep your available time, days, tasks and distance each time and allow you to update as needed. When you view one day of visits it should only show that day and if you want to see all the visits hit all. My requests tab should just be for those visits that you are the Papas favorite. The notes should reflect the favorite pal so others know there is a favorite. These would help some of the redundancy of the app. The visits are duplicated which is confusing also. Thank you, Tammy Kuck

Denied application
I can’t believe I was denied employment from papapal because of my motor vehicle consumer report. I had one violation over stupid tints because I didn’t want to ruin my leather interior .. i have ZERO POINTS ON MY LICENSE. Never had any points on my license. And two accidents came up, neither of which were my fault, one person side swiped me while I was going straight on a lane and the other one I was going straight on a lane and had a green light and someone made a left turn without stopping and struck me. Both could not have been avoided on my end. How was that used against me? Took over a month to process my background check for it to be denied smh

Best of the best
I have been a caregiving for 15 years and recently took some time off for myself. I was told about Papa and absolutely love the idea. The system you have in place works flawlessly. I like that I can still do what I find rewarding but also enjoy my life without the stress and anxiety of being one person’s full time caregiver. I also enjoy that I get to help multiple individuals.

Being a PAPA PAL
I like the flexibility of being a pal, being able to choose who, what, where and when I want to work. We aren’t getting paid any mileage to go to our members homes anymore, but they increased hourly up $2/hour. It makes me not want to do any transportation any more. But keep in mind, they still pay mileage from members home and back from their destinations.😊

This company won’t survive
I work in long term care and have a degree in Gerontology. I can tell you that this company is super sketchy. From an employee viewpoint you are basically cold calling older adults. Most don’t know about the service or what Papa even is. Papa makes a deal with their insurance company and then has you do the heavy lifting for absolutely bottom dollar pay. You end up spending an inordinate amount of time working for no pay. If you do manage to get an in person visit (which is rare) you will most likely spend the time cleaning. Not to mention, a majority of the time you will schedule a visit, mark it on your calendar and then it will get magically “cancelled” last minute. If you value your time or older adults you will stay away from this company. I could go into a lot more, but long story short I don’t think they’ll be around very long.
