This is a very good app and I like the push notifications that can be sent via text or email and you can select the date when you want to setup then date you want to notified before the bill is due. There are great charts to do a comparison to how much gas you used the previous year. It has program and other notifications. Great App
The app has to transfer out to a webpage to handle login - how janky is that? After I looked up my login info and logged in, I find that the app has turned FaceID off?!! I turned it on and logged out to test it, and… back out to the same web page and no FaceID support. Awesome. Well done folks. People’s Gas is getting humiliated by ComEd’s app, and that’s setting a low bar! The usability of the app is terrible. I’m sure this app demos great in overhead slides in a boardroom, and that paints a really clear picture that People’s Gas is run by out-of-touch rich old white men who don’t understand technology, and have never had to use the app or pay a bill themselves. That’s how you get an app that looks nice, but prioritizes lazy and cheap programming choices and is awful for the customer to use, instead of focusing on reducing friction to help your customers pay you easily and quickly.
Today this company turned my service off because they allow anyone to take over another units meter and account address without checking. That’s right, are you unit 1 in a building? We’ll someone else can move into your building and claim their unit 1 and without warning your gas can be turned off. It’s 30 degrees outside and despite having autopay on, these people never notified my building or landlord, came out and turned the gas off. What’s the point of an app if basic competency is missing?
I tried to pay my bill via the Internet and I just felt like an idiot. I could not figure out how to make a quick payment, but thanks to the app it was simple and my bill is paid.
The app is great and makes it really easy for me to keep track of my bills and payments. BUT: I keep getting logged out on every app close since the last release. It is kind of a big problem because I don’t receive notifications with payment reminders that way!! Almost missed the last deadline.
Find dull account information was difficult - I established new service and it did not turn on correctly and using the app to attempt to get help was futile. I had to call anyway and then could not find my account number on the app to attempt to get through the automated prompts on the phone. It works but need a chat and better account information.
This is my fist time paying a gas bill and so far this has been a very user friendly app. It’s easy to open an account online prior to downloading the app and to set up auto pay and paperless billing. I can view my usage and get assistance all with the press of a button!
Deongo & KerrySue are very smart, patient & full of energy! It is 9:30pm & I have always struggled with paying my bills on line, this is my 1st & the two of them assisted me without making one huff or puff they laughed with me which helped me not feel ignorant.. I’m gonna try to keep using this app because they made it fun even though they had to walk me step by step☺️
The app won’t accept my card...Apple Pay or the card number itself! I don’t want to enter my account number and shouldn’t have to, if you’re offering Apple Pay! Uninstalling!
This app is better than it has been over the past couple of years. Apple Pay is a welcome addition. It's still extremely frustrating that FaceID breaks every time that the app is updated. It defeats the point of having Face ID if I have to enter my password almost every time I log in to re-enable Face ID.
Really annoys me that I am unable to turn on notifications. The “save” button once I select all the billing notifications I want to turn on is a dull color, and I can’t click it, therefore I am unable to use the notifications. The app also crashes a lot. My phone is up to date, so obviously the app needs work.
This app is everything you need from a utilities company. Simple to navigate, easy to pay bills/view usage, and beautifully designed. You can tell the team worked carefully with customers to bring the best possible version to life. Love it!
My bill is due on the 1st of the month… auto pay is set to draft on the 14th. This would make my payment late, there is no point to use that feature until they fix it. It’s been over two years at this point.
The high amount of 5 star reviews on the app appears well deserved. It feels native and high quality. Good work. But Visa cards are explicitly unsupported during payment. Why? I can use Visa to pay through the website. Unfortunately without Visa payment, I can’t really take advantage of the app. Once Visa is supported, I’ll gladly update my review.
There’s no point in having an app that doesn’t accept all forms of credit or debit cards. (only MasterCard and Discover are accepted ) for the past two years, I have called People Gas and argued the fact that they don’t accept visa cards, what they say is they accept all forms of payments, which isn't true. Every month I have to call the dam automated system to make my monthly payment which takes so much more time not to mention I'm charged for it as well The only good thing about the app is that you can see your usage and your bill. This app new eds some serious upgrade
I used to think bull apps were complicated but this one Is very straight to the point and I love it. You open it and it tells you exactly how much u need to pay.
Being a Floridian and experiencing peoples gas in Chicago as I know live here 8 years has been a wonderful experience for me great prompt service no nonsense approach to helping its customers and satisfaction thanks peoples gas I’m satisfied
I can only use it to view my bill and payment history. I use my American Express to pay my bill and the app doesn’t have that option. Otherwise the app is great!
the new app looks great in the pictures but i wouldn't know because the app refuses to recognise i have an account. minutes after downloading and being told there was no account connected to the email i receive emails from people's gas from i logged in online with no issues. was excited for a more streamlined and updated app but am now disappointed.
Apparently your name has to be in all caps. That being said would have avoided me calling. But once it was figured out by a very helpful Katy It was fine. Fast I man super fast response time. At anytime.
It was such a pain logging in on the website to pay your bill. It’s kinda crazy when you think about how they didn’t get a mobile app till 2020. At any rate this is great so far.
As good as one of these really fun apps could be. The only thing I Didn’t like is that it times out anytime you switch to another app (like banking to figure out and copy and paste your routing and account #s). Other than that, it’s super efficient and does the job
the way this company goes about collecting your information and putting you on tab for the bill. than making you go out on your own to set up how you pay and everything later is shady. they don’t remind you or anything. im a fastidious person so it works for me but it’s a business practice that is setting people up to miss payments so they have to pay late fees etc. other than that the app is designed very well, this confirms my suspicion the way it’s set up is intentional to make you have to seek out giving them their money.

I wish y’all had more options on how to pay my bills on y’all app. I wish y’all could add visa or debit cards payment on y’all app. Then y’all will be on something and I can pay automatically every month with my Visa card.
I used to mark my calendar to process my payments, they were submitted. Then the following month it never fully processed. Called support and they enrolled me in autopay, it still never processed and now im backed months because of this stupid paying system. Might as well go back to paying the bills in person.
This app never works when you need it to work. It never accepts your password for two consecutive months. And the closer to your payment due date, the less like is the app to work. Where’s the convenience of using it at all?
Can you please optimize your app to also work properly on iPads? It looks small and pixelated on iPads and iPads pro....... I use home iPad Pro to pay my bills. The ComEd app works for both iPhones and iPads. I wonder why people’s gas app is not like that........
Always something wrong with the app or problems updating, you couldn’t see your bill, but you can make a payment, horrible experience with people gas, definitely not recommending this service.
The app doesn’t let me login, it gets stuck on a loading screen. I went to the website and it also doesn’t let me login. You’d think they’d make it easier to give them my money. Guess I’ll wait for another letter of how this is my fault.
Downloaded this app because it would be a lot easier than using the web. Finds out my card is not even accepted!! Why create the app to not accept all cards??! How is Visa accepted everywhere but this app?! Please ask the developers for a refund because they clearly did not finalize this app.
I deleted this app just as quickly as I downloaded. Granted it is user friendly and gets right to the point of you paying your bill. But the app does not take Visa cards 🤯. This is just ridiculous so I just deleted the app.
