I will hold off on full 5 star as it's new but has removed my name from a few sites already. I decided to try it due to several symptoms of a data leak and lots of spam/phishing/suspicious attempts to get info. I believe it takes a while to take full effect so I'm allow it to continue working. But after doing a google search yesterday, I did see less hits with my info on sites like "Zoominfo", "Nuwber", "Peekyou", "Radaris", etc
I looked at this app for a while before purchasing it, and then decided to get it for the year… Big mistake. It only works for Gmail accounts with your emails, and since I have private websites and do not use Gmail, it only covers less than half of the “exposures“ out there. Also, I was disappointed that after putting in my information initially, I was sent several links for me to then personally request all of my information to be removed from their site… Which is basically something that you can find on your own, it’s just that they compiled it for you, but then did none of the work, and it was time-consuming to fill out each one of those things, and again main portion, which is tied to my email, doesn’t even work because it’s not a Gmail account. They say they’ll be adding you email servers in the future, but that hasn’t happened. I had really high hopes for this and would’ve recommended it to you like 1000 people and would have happily paid the fee for many years to come, and maybe it was written somewhere and I missed that, but anyway, I can’t recommend it. Unfortunately.
I had been deluged with spam calls, texts, emails, etc. sometimes I would wake up and I would have 1200 emails. I tried a VPN but it restricted my normal operating phone. I would continuously get notifications that my information was found on the dark web. I signed up for privacy hawk about 14 months ago. What a difference. Still get a spam call on occasion. Maybe one a week. Spam emails have disappeared. I receive updates on my privacy score. Which has increased from the low hundreds to a freakin 809. Bonus is I don’t have to limit or restrict phone calls. And they constantly monitor public sites like the yellow pages and all those sites we all visited to find out what our old high school friends were up to. Or where our exes were living. So no more freely giving out my private or personal info. Privacy hawk does it all for me.

I've been looking for an app that could help me request removal from all of these lists, and this one is the best. the coolest part was I connected it to my Gmail account and it automatically found all of the places and companies that had my data stored and automatically requested removal for me. I also signed up and protected my whole family because I have young children. Scary to think of what would happen if their data got out there too. Highly recommend for everyone to do this.

UPDATE: impressed with the volume of data floating about out there! Privacy Hawk has helped removed my data from over 100 sites! Thank you! I have also noticed a significant decrease in the amount of spam coming into my inbox. Yes, there is some effort involved, but Privacy Hawk will save you countless hours. While helpful in sending emails to companies, be ready for responses from those companies that may require you to go their website anyway to respond, opt out or fill out a form. Unfortunately, I think my email has been sold and is now circulating the masses. Too soon to tell how well this has worked.
They stand for anyone that has any part of your name and then charges you
So I tried this app. Did the scan. Put my name in. Put my age in. It comes back with X number of exposures. It gives a name, first name, middle initial, and last name. It gives an age. And it gives relatives attached to that name. So you can tell if that's really you or not. What came back on my scan was a whole bunch of people who aren't me. It doesn't allow you to delete those other people in the scan results. It doesn't ask for your middle initial in the scan parameters. It gives you 10 free up outs. And then anything over those 10, you have to pay for it. So of course if it's going to give me a bunch of accounts that isn't mine that I'm gonna go over that limit of 10 and so have to pay. The scan is rigged to force you to pay have your accounts removed.
I know it stinks that they hit you with a paywall after the initial scan, but I paid $10 for a month of this service, and it removed my stuff from all these scam sights I didn’t even know existed. I went and looked at a couple of these sights before and after I purged my info. I don’t know if this is worth a yearly subscription, but if the app shows you a bunch of malicious sights with your info, definitely pay the money for a month of this just to remove your information. I used to get scam calls and emails and texts galore and now I haven’t gotten one in a while.
It's very buggy. When I click on a button to check market, it takes forever or freezes the apps crash multiple times. Emails that I thought I've sent I have not been sent. The app doesn't do any work for you and only just send an email automatically and then you have to talk to that company and tell them what you want. A lot of companies asked me to confirm if this was true or not. It's not worth the money it's just extra work and there's other retails out there they do a better job. I can put all that aside, but the actual application just doesn't work at freezes it crashes and heated up my phone. It's unstable and every time I click a box it's delayed as if there's a 10 second delay. I have a brand new iPhone latest model and it's not my iPhone it's the stupid app.
This is a great app for people who don’t want their personal data leaked everywhere. I don’t trust companies to keep my data safe. Finally I found an easy way to take that data back. PrivacyHawk made it easy for me to identify all the old companies I used in the past that I don’t use anymore and send delete requests to get them to delete my data. If you don’t do this, they just hold on to your sensitive data forever, even if they don’t need it. I didn’t think there was any practical way to do anything about this until I found PrivacyHawk. Glad I did!
I had no idea the amount of sites that had my personal information until I got this service. So many had my personal information and I never heard of almost all of them. As soon as I got started and I was shown the exact number of threats and how long it would take to scrub them clean. I love the exposure meter too show you where you rank. So easy to use and navigate. Everything stays covered and any new threats are automatically taken care of and you get notifications thru the process. The monthly fee you pay is nothing for the amount of security you get.

I’m a big skeptic when it comes to apps like this because sometimes it’s just too hard to believe, but this app is no joke. Privacy Hawk is a great tool if you have a professional need or simply a personal want to protect your information! I decided to purchase this, as I kept fighting to keep my old and current addresses and phone numbers from populating well-known search pages. So far, I enjoy the notifications when new info is found and when it is quickly removed, without any input from me! It’s amazing how many websites there are that I had never encountered or thought to address, but Privacy Hawk found the entries and eliminated them. Try it out!

This app is worth every penny, and it’s not even expensive !! I actually feel like it should be more than what they are charging. I was extremely surprised to see just how many companies through 3rd party tracking had my information, and there were dozens!! The most amazing few in my opinion is they do the footwork for you. There were 3 that I personally had to email, but even those ones, PrivacyHawk provided me with everything I needed to do and the link to get there!! You have a AMAZING APP!!! Well Done!!
I did a Google search of myself. I was shocked to find a lot of my personal information was easily accessible by a simple search. My information was on websites that I had not submitted or subscribed to or had interactions with. It was unnerving and unsettling. I chose PrivacyHawk because it was affordable and easy. In less than a week, most of my information is already gone. There customer service answered my concerns in less than 24 hours and gave detailed instructions. I am one who loves to complain, but I have no complaints with PrivacyHawk.

I saw an ad on TikTok for this app and I decided to give it a try. I was a bit skeptical that they could actually remove my data but in the app they actually explained how it worked so I was at ease. My jaw dropped when I saw the amount of sites that had my data, from my email to even my family members names. After that, upgrading to premium just made sense. I think one feature I hope they add in the future is what sites have other forms of information like credit card number but other than that I am very satisfied with the app
i tried using the services. they turned out to be what appewre as an overlay to other services offered elsewhere. so basically this company is selling a subscription to other services that are available for free elsewhere and then charging $80;a year for it. only after that 80 is paid do they let you know that there are shorter subscription times to try out the services. i almost didnt bother with a review, but i got a lecture from the company when i gave quick feedback as to why i wanted a refund. dont bother with this app, there are free privacy services out there. this company wxploits others’ work and is moreninterested in being right than they care about making things right. (Also, their API connects to free services… and they try to hide it)
I rarely if ever write reviews on the App Store, but I’ve recently been in 2 to 3 data breaches from various companies. I got an ad for this app on Instagram and was really impressed with the results it found both from various public records and the dark web. For ~$10 a month, you get identity protection, the ability to go through your emails and tell multiple people to either stop selling your data or remove yourself from their databases and more! Telling all my friends and family about this app.
This app is advertised as a “one click“ solution to unsubscribe you from unwanted spam email and personal info data mining websites. I think it works well for the websites but the spam email feature needs work. In 2023 most companies send advertising emails through a no reply inbox and require you to click the unsubscribe link in their emails to change your preferences. PrivacyHawk attempts to send these no reply inboxes that it gathers from a direct link to your email asking to unsubscribe you from emails on your behalf. I saw no reduction in spam emails after sending hundreds of these emails through PrivacyHawk.

It’s really useful in identifying what apps and websites to avoid, and their support team is super friendly and helpful as well. I’m telling all my friends to become more aware about their online information and footprint. And the best way to start is by downloading PrivacyHawk.
This app was easy to install and use, it’s very user friendly. It scans, and lists all the websites, then you decide what you want to do, make your choices and let PrivacyHawk do all the hard work for you. After the scan showed me a list a mile long of businesses that were exploiting my personal data, I was stunned, I got to decide what to do about it for each website, that felt good. I feel a lot better knowing I’ve taken back control of my data privacy and you will too.
Highly recommend it. You always hear lots of buzz that companies have all your information online, but I was always skeptical about the extent to which this was true. I downloaded privacy hawk out of curiosity, and couldn’t believe how much information I had out on the internet. Whilst initially scary, Privacy Hawk gave me relief as I saw my information being deleted from large companies' data banks in real time. The horrible initial shock meant I felt upgrading premium was worth my while and I haven't looked back since.

It was honestly scary thinking about how many people could stalk me. I decided to try out their automated data removal and it was so smooth. I am a huge fan of this app. Not only does it delete you from data brokers, but it also has a nifty digital footprint scan where it identifies all the companies from your inbox, for me there were like 150, and I deleted my data from a whole bunch of companies that no longer need my data. And I have to tell you, it’s very satisfying deleting your private data from all these places. Makes me feel much less exposed. Plus, the app is so easy to use that tapping the delete button is kind of fun!
I heard about this from a relative, and I figured I would give it a shot. It’s crazy how many different companies they can find with your personal data. I can’t stand the fact that these companies are selling my data. So I ended up upgrading to premium, and I must say that I am very happy with the service. They’ve already removed me from dozens of data brokers, and there’s a whole bunch more that are in queue to be removed as well. Will definitely be keeping this service!
I’d say this is not a slam dunk app as the creators would have you believe. In theory it sounds great! But In my 10 requests to “not sell my personal data” 7 of the financial institutions I chose came back to me (via email) stating that the email address was invalid. For an app that claims to make it easy to purge your information, I’d expect their data to be quite up to date (obviously it’s not) and there is quite a bit of legwork required manually on your part. I don’t see the value. If someone could care to elaborate? Otherwise this seems like a money grab for an already broken privacy system/non-standard regulations in the US.
I had a bit of trouble linking my Gmail inbox to the app but I contacted their support team and they got back to me super quick and helped me fix my issue. They were super communicative and helped me every step of the way. I was a bit nervous at first but after my experience, they are definitely a trustworthy team that puts me first. After this, it was a breeze to remove my data from the suspicious databases. I had no clue how much of my information was exposed and visible on the internet.
I just paid for a year membership. I’m actually very pleased with the App but I cannot change my 3 star review until the App is updated to include the ability to “select all”. I have 900 boxes to tap after my footprint scan. Why no select all feature?? I can’t sit here and tap boxes with my finger all day. Also most companies after receiving the request to deleted my data require you to fill out a separate form which the app does not automate. Please 1. add a “selected all” feature 2. and something about companies following up with a request to fill a form.

I put my email address into PrivacyHawk just in case my information was exposed online. As the scan happened, the websites, family relatives and addresses piled up. I felt that I had no choice but to remove them, and PrivacyHawk worked fast to make sure all my information was gone from hundreds of websites. It’s crazy and quite concerning how many companies/websites have our information. It was very easy and quick to do the free scan and see where exactly my private info is and then you have the option to upgrade and PrivacyHawk will have your info removed from these databases so that you can feel more secure online and in control of who does have your information. The app is very well designed, helpful, and easy to use!
My parents aren’t very tech savvy, and I was concerned about the potential scams or viruses that were being constantly emailed to them and were likely to trip them up. I downloaded PrivacyHawk and had them wipe their contacts from hundreds of email lists, which happened really quick. Now my parents hardly ever receive scam emails or texts. I’m a lot less fearful of potential scammers tripping them up now thanks to PrivacyHawk. Would recommend it.
The scans are free. It will scan your emails and Apple account. I was able to scan my Google account and see what lists I was on. I could then ask those sites to delete my personal data and unsubscribe from them up to 10 times. I need to upgrade in order to do more and to have my info wiped from other questionable sites. I haven’t decided to do that yet but probably will. The app is easy to use.
I downloaded this as I was under the impression that it could help me with the insane amount of spam calls and texts I was getting and assumed that the $80 I spent would attempt to fix anything associated with my name or personal info attached. The app said that tons of people had my info and it could take 100+ days before any headway was made for my info to be more secure. I had logged into Privacy Hawk using my alternative email still linked to my personal information and my score went from the 800’s to the 400’s. The app was only protecting one email address it seems and not my personal information as a whole. In todays economy, I had high hopes for the $80 that I spent for a years worth of protection but for me, it was bogus. Calling the national, Do Not Call Registry seemed to do more for me and than this app did. The only positive I can say from this is that I was able to be refunded and customer service actually got back to me within a few days of me reaching out to them.

I also learned that family I am no longer related to through divorce are as well on my account information so once I paid the fee it took out my information from all the places they found I am definitely glad I downloaded this app it does exactly what it says it will

If you want to replace unwanted Emails with the app that sends you even more unwanted Emails several times a day with no valuable info and no way to turn off these Emails, then Privacy Hawk is for you. The irony is that you also pay for this app for the entire year and yet have to take additional actions yourself. Privacy Hawk has not been useful to me at all. More of a nuisance actually. I already requested them to cancel my subscription and to remove me from their distribution list. Yet I keep getting Emails. Just last night I received 20 Emails from Privacy Hawk starting from midnight till 4 AM.
I wanted to stop any spam calls and try to check on my privacy breaches consistently. So when I saw this online I decided to download it. Instantly before the results came, I already had a supposed a “high risk” score of 575 with 0 results of my info. Then finally 46 results popped up that looked like legit info. But when I went on every single one of these sites to search my information myself, my information never came up. The last straw was a website called Snoop Station that was listed with my information…the website doesn’t even exist anymore... Please don’t waste money on this service y’all

Saw this by 3 different tik tokers magically all three, plus mine and 4 of my friends had exactly 75 issues. The only way to have any sort of remedy is to pay a crazy fee which one of us did and they said it was removed but if you go to the site of the removal you are still in their database. Just do it yourself little bits at a time. For our part we live in Minnesota and have a great Attorney General’s office and forwarded our info to them. We got an email back stating they have opened an investigation already and would add our complaints to the others and reach out when they had more info. This may be a legit thing just saying be careful, trust your gut.
I get a lot of scam and spam calls and texts so I thought I would give this a try. Now I get them nonstop. Dozens a day. Every day. Don’t waste your time or money. You have to do most of the work of filling out forms to get your data removed. And again, it doesn’t work. I’m getting more calls and texts than ever. UPDATE: This company pays people to just go through these and gaslight you. Doesn’t matter that their product does the opposite of what they advertise and you actually have to do all the paperwork. Save your money, there are other services that seem much more honest. Or at very least interested in customer satisfaction beyond a word salad or excuses.

I like the Privacy Hawk App. I’m having trouble with suppressing my information on People Connect. I follow the steps, I select my information that includes old email addresses, places I’ve lived and old phone numbers. I get to the last step where I save the choice to suppress and I get a message that says “ Error: Unable to save suppression behavior: APIError” I can’t get past this. I need assistance.
I used to search my name all the times. Of course there is no time to click on each link to see our exposure. This apps confirms that what we see was true, they had our old address. As well as how other similar search website contained some information without visiting them. Including how many website there is.
It seems like no matter how many times I update passwords, change accounts etc. that Apple always shows 50+ potentially breached accounts.
