Payment system should be improved to make it convenient for the owners. Booking payment process showed a lot of confusion to guests for not telling them total charges when they book. I experience a lot of booking and cancellation on this site. Very unfair to owner who have short time to list our unit to other travelers who really needs the condo when someone hold on the unit then just drop it a few days of their ETA.
I never write bad reviews but I will with this one. The frustration using this app is 100% !!! It is not user friendly at all specially for vacation home owners. It’s is terrible having to log in to all these different pages to get to a setting besides the combination of hotel settings mixed with vacation homes it is horrible. I’ve used Airbnb for a year now and it’s the easiest most user friendly system for str owners perhaps your system should be similar and make it easier in terms of listing an str on your page. I’ve had to cancel multiple reservations for various reasons from not taking the payment at the time of reservation and asking guests to pay at the “hotel “ Even after it exported all my description and information from Airbnb it listed my home as a 4 bedroom causing me a cancellation and the guest stating that I was being dishonest with my listing And to make matters worst not blocking dates on your site after a reservation and allowing double booking!!! I just don’t understand!! All of this cancellations that I’ve had are just affecting my listing and its ranking on your site affecting potential future reservations!
I use this app on my iPad as well as my Samsung telephone. I have noticed the functionality on these devices is worlds apart. Case in point, I have recently attempted to change my availability for today on the iPad to which I was greeted with, “To avoid overbooking, availability can not be more than 1.” No discussion and no options for changing my availability on my iPad. To get around this, I simply opened the app on my phone which within five seconds allowed me to successfully update my availability to reflect my circumstances. I don’t know how much beta testing the app had on the iPad but I am having some pretty basic issues that aren’t reflected on my phone. I just deducted another star as the iPad version shows cancelled bookings at still active and isn’t allowing the rooms to be rented. I’m sorry but this new bug reduces this app to a useless piece of garbage which negatively impacts my business.
Limited functionality compared to the site, but equally difficult to find what you need and to get things done. Asks for two factor authentication continuously. You can’t figure out what the payout for a reservation is going to be, after Booking’s discounts (to the guest) and Booking’s fees, till you receive the payout (days if not weeks after the end of the reservation). Not even Booking knows what they’re doing, as they’re taking months to figure out how much we own them in fees and how much they owe us. Even basic things such as how many people can reserve a room do not work: what’s in the settings of the property is different from what the customers see and are able to book ridiculous!
The app is very difficult to use. You need to have at least 2-3 phone to utilize, before you can updates, access certain information on your own account. Unlike other app, you can just easily use one app to transition from traveling to hosting. This however requires 2 (Booking for traveling, Pulse for hosting). And have to log in gazillion times just to update your password. Recently I spent 3 hours trying to update my own pw and another 40mins w/ service support. In fairness, he was very patient. He mentioned multiple times that requiring 2nd authentication is for security, but when will it becomes inconvenience spending hours should be enough reason to update your system.
Pulse came along way and keep improving. Now management can see more details of what rooms available and able to adjust the rates as per current demand n supply and situations. I like to see when highlight the dates to check availabilities, only show correctly that the room is open when check on one day, but when selected 2 days or more, the availabilities didn't show that the rooms are open on those dates. Only able to check one room one day at a time.
I have used many apps throughout the years and my favorite app is the Pulse app. It’s ease-of-use enables me to be very efficient in my business as I travel to various places. There is nothing negative I can say about this app because it has allowed me to do everything I want to do and more. I would recommend this app to everyone searching for an app to manage their resort/villa rentals. Thank you so much to Booking Dot Com for a great app. SOV
I like the app. Change I would suggest is an easier way for hosts and guests to modify stays through the app. Each time I call customer service/support it is different instructions on how to make changes. Airbnb allows the guest to make changes through the app and the host is allowed to accept changes. Hassle free.
I was asked to sign in again, but when I did I realized that I was actually setting up a new acct. so I defeated the account. I lost my original account. Now I have no app. I tried to restore it but that didn’t work. My account is fine on my computer, but how do I get that account on my iPhone again? I love the app because I use it all the time. The app is pretty user friendly, a lot of the desktop options are available which is nice! Biggest complaint is that it will send notifications and then they immediately disappear. Case in point, someone had messaged me but I never saw the notification and now our response score is 90% because I missed one message.
This app and also pulse booking . Com is very frustrating. People book your place and you don’t know if they are actually coming to stay. Mine says you pay when you arrive. Once my place is blocked. How do I know that the Guest is actually coming ? I have a guest now that won’t answer any of my emails yet he is booked to arrive in August. This is frustrating. Also if I want to cancel the guest has to accept the cancellation. If I have a problem and the guest does not answer how do it deal with this .. not sure that I like this way of doing business. It’s to impersonal
Being a small hotel and managing reservations can be a nightmare. Pulse (Booking app) has made our job so much easier because it allows us to manage reservations everywhere we go. Pulse it’s easy to use and quite practical. We don’t know what we would do without this app.
When the guest request to book my location they send a message with it. I then approve the request. Then have to wait until the guest confirms the booking and pays to be able to actually begin to message them. This is extremely bad for business because some guests might have questions about the property or the area. This is the only site the doesn’t have the messaging feature at the start of the inquiry. Please update your software or hire someone who knows how to. Sincerely, Every single host!
Beautiful application, very useful and simple to use. Hopefully, as time passes, will be more options to choose for easier handling of booking account and reservations. I would like to see in some future updates easy accessible information of monthly (or chosen date) sales value. From me 5 stars 😀
The Pulse app is wonderful and easy to use. It’s makes managing our rental apartments quick & easy to do. The messaging part works great! Love the message templates and scheduling capability, eliminates a lot of work for us. Calendar is easy to use and change prices. And calling quests from the app is great.
Mobile version is way more difficult to navigate, especially when access to the calendar and reservations are needed. It gets even more complex if there are two properties, then to manage the calendar is almost impossible. As much as i would love to work from my phone, i can’t alter the calendar the way I can access it from my laptop
There is a problem for very long time at replying in messages. The whole app is stacked and it’s very difficult to reply or correct something in your message. You can’t easily move in the text and copy and paste parts in the text so sometimes you have to erase the whole message and start over. Ether it’s a problem or something else but it’s very annoying.
I am writing this hoping that one Day the new booking info becomes easier to read. When we revive a new booking I wish it to read dates name and price as well as promo all in 4 lines if you want to go into the booking then you enter each department. It really does make it easier when you are busy and a new booking comes in
I noticed delay of booking details under notifications. It doesn’t alert me after guest confirmation of booked rooms. I had to checked via email to make sure the booking came through.
Used for years and no issues (so 4 stars) but need help today. 12 hours ago or so the app started opening to a black white screen with the words: “Something went wrong An error occurred while loading this page - please try again later.” And under that a blue button “Retry”. All 5 tabs on the bottom have the same or similar error messages. However, new booking notifications still arrive! But when you press an alert, it just opens the error message. Thanks I’m advance for looking into this issue Tech Team!
I’m generally happy with that app. I only have one issue and that I have a hard time loading photos of things that are requested by booking. The rest of the app makes my job much easier to do. I also appreciate the daily report sent to my iPhone.
The app is smooth and works seamlessly. I particularly like the way it automatically displays available and booked rooms/apartments. That automated system makes managing listed property convenient and easy.
Reservations under arrival show the date as one day earlier then the actual check in date. Happens on all my reservations. This is under bookings and arrival tab. Otherwise useful app.
This app used to work really well. Now, it asks me to login each time I open it and then 50% of the time the login doesn’t work and I have to do it again. And now they added a terms and conditions disclaimer that pops up each time I click to send a message to a guest. So much wasted time!
As a general manager most of the time I’m not sitting behind my desk. For those moments it is great to have the pulse app at hand on my phone. I can immediately communicate any incoming messages to my reservations staff wherever I am.
The absolute worst booking platform to ever exist. Stay away, hosts AND guests. Scammers run rampant on the site, the booking system is unbelievably flawed, and although it’s easy to get through to customer service, they are absolutely useless and unable to ever resolve issues. Beware. Every single angle of this company is flawed. They will take your money and you won’t get it back. They don’t even do background checks on guests or properties. Stay away.

Wish the notifications would go away immediately after resolving. Such as messages and guest reviews. It takes a while to update even though reviews have been replied to and messages have been responded to.
App works great, It would be nice to be able to change the main photo through the app, mark reservation cards as declined, and change reservation date/ prices when needed. Otherwise it's great.
Terrible service, I always gets reservation but when I reply to the customer I never get a reply back. I contacted booking about an invoice they have send me (but I’ve never received no customers ) and explain the situation that I never gets messages back from peoples who makes reservation. More then 5 times I’ve mailed booking but also no reply from booking but still they are sending me your invoice hast 3 days due , 8 days due, 11 days due and so on so on.. 😡😡😡
I’m impressed that this app it’s 4 and 1/2 stars review, as a host it’s horrible, they don’t collect payment at the time of booking, I have to collect the payment at the time of arrival, collect taxes, they’re not responsible for any property damage, that what customer service told me, I guess you have to hire a professional to manage you this app cause it’s just to complicated for simple humans like me, I’ll just keep to Airbnb and verbo for now
The limitation of the app is that there is no option to verify the app by other means for those who have no cell signal. The advantage of the app is it provides an alternative two step verification method for other devices for those who have no cell signal!!!
Pulse app was perfect until recent- now logs me out every 30 minutes
This app is structured perfectly I have had no issues in the past couple years. Now recently the app logs me out every 30 minutes. I need to be able to keep track of bookings for 5 properties and it’s impossible with no notifications because it keeps logging me out. I’ve uninstalled reinstalled countless times.
This app is terrible. Booking has been nothing but a frustration to work with and now I feel like they are holding me hostage because I have sporadic guests booked 6 months out. They also fine you for THEIR incompetence when they make mistakes on their end. They have overbooked me 3 times when I had the dates blocked off and then charged me fees. One being 200$. Airbnb is a MUCH better company to work with with absolutely no frustrations.
In most recent update it’s has been messed up you can hardly see between different tabs like Reservations tab/ available rooms Tabs been laying over on each other please fix as soon as possible I own multiple hotel I order to mange booking I hardly see in between tabs it also keep sign out due unknown error every day needs fix asap
I do not understand how some big company as booking, who makes all their money through this service could have such lame app! Please get your developers and testers in order to fix this app as right now it is impossible to send messages to guests after they booked! This is latest bug this app regulary goes from one bug into another!
Deleted after 20 min of use. Couldn’t sync calendar from other platforms such as airbnb. Keeps giving error messages. Couldn’t set different rates for different days. App is not user friendly and very complicated to use. Options are all over the place. Can’t view my daily rates on the calendar. After Airbnb app this one is like being lost in forest
Absolutely terrible user interface and the lack of information. payment system is bad and the 24 hours option for owners to wait and cancel it’s absolutely ridiculous. And when the guest credit card doesn’t get approved you still don’t have the choice to cancel which is your property up in the air hanging for the next 24 hours no one else could book.
When I open this app, it's because I have a guest on the phone and need to check their reservation. I don't have the time to update to a new version and keep the client waiting in the meantime. However, when you roll out a new version of this app you force everybody to update before they can access their calendar. Could you please introduce a “Remind me later” button, beside the “Update Now”?
After the most recent update, August 2024, the app blocks every action with a privacy and cookie statement acceptance popup. Highly annoying. Don’t send out an update if it doesn’t improve the app - if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it!
The messaging to Guest is not working. Clicked “report a problem” and no connection to app developer. Please help! We use the messaging for guests EVERY day. They need this feature to access check-in instructions for our property, especially our international guests who may not have an American phone number. Please escalate this!!
in my oppinion pulse is so correct thing which anyone did or does , it is easy way to get anonce about booking ... so it helps me very much . i can control my booklist when i want and it is good ,with best wishes ZT_ROOMS
Awful service 95% of their customer service representatives are rude and not willing to help you to resolve your problem. They are very good to give fine for their mistakes which they not taking responsibility and blaming you. I stop business with them. AIRBNB much better to work with. Very disappointed..
No help for hosts on Pulse. One stop shop it’s needed
I gave booking my opinion already and nobody contacted me. We need the following on booking: 1. Customer Service on Pulse not on another site. 2. The price I set on Pulse and based on my standard rate does not get reflected on booking. Price on booking it’s always smaller. 3. Introduce cleaning fee for the guests to pay separately. 4. Allow hosts to review the guests. Booking it is not responsible for damages or when the number of guests exceeds the maximum of guests allowed. By allowing host to review the guests will give the chance for the hosts to restrict abusing guests from their properties. I know you will not respond but I’ll keep trying.
Booking is such a terrible platform for hosts, so difficult to use, with so many problems, and many fake reservations and no shows. The worst platform to use, where customers can have all the fun that they want, with zero responsibility. That’s why booking is so popular. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 highly disappointed with this platform.
