Love this app. When power has gone out in storms this year it has been easy to report our home and see how widespread the power outage is. It’s super easy to pay my bill or schedule a payment on here. With most of my family being at home all day most days I can also easily monitor what our electric usage looks like and figure out when we are using the most and if we are trending towards using less or more.
I love using this app! It has many cool features. I like to check it from time to time to see how much energy I’ve used, it will tell you exactly how much your bill is, everyday of course increases depending on how much energy you use so I love checking that. Also can see your whole pdf bill on there. Much easier to access then on browser on your mobile phone. It works fast never crashes or have issues at all.
Love their app. Easy to navigate. Easy to make payments, check my usage, with option, by month or day and by hour. In case of power Outrage they are already on top of it, with area affected, how many homes, and the time electricity will be back. Easy to report electric issues. And they’re right every time. Thank you SMUD team!
It is great for outages and to view and pay Bill. Basic information. It doesn’t reflect payment information right away or that you made partial payment with payment plan and cancelled auto pay. So if it’s too close to your auto pay date the system will still take what it needs so then it’s a duplicate payment. If it’s about 3 business days before the scheduled autopayI would talk to a person. Otherwise it takes the full bulk like mine did.
This app is amazing. Not only does it make it convenient to pay your bill, it also gives you insight on your energy usage and how much your current bill is at that moment.
I downloaded this app, thinking it could be really helpful to schedule my bill payment. Unfortunately it defaults to paying the bill on the current date. Since the due date is almost a month away, this means I will be paying the bill really early. Not useful for what I wanted it to do.
I can easily log into my account, via the SMUD website. I tried signing up on the app and was prompted that I already had an account. Sooo, I tried logging into the app, with my login credentials and they didn’t work. So…I attempted to change my login information/password, by requesting an email link. After FOUR, yes FOUR requests, the email link was never sent. What’s the point of the app, if I’m unable to log in and I can obtain all the information I need, via the SMUD website????
My phone defaults to dark mode and whoever designed the screens for this app, did a terrible job. In dark mode, the boxes are black and the text within them are dark grey. I can barely make out the information on the screen and I have been waiting months for y’all to fix the issue, but nothing has been done. I can’t even find an option to adjust the screen preferences for just my SMUD app. PLEASE GET YOUR DESIGNER ON THIS AND FIX THE DISPLAY AND TEXT COLORS, SO WE CAN ACTUALLY READ WHAT IS ON THE SCREEN!
Their app is great and their company overall is just great. I’m so glad we don’t have to deal with PG&E in Sac. Love the customer service and their rebate programs. Just saved a ton of money on a new water heater install.
And SMUD is right on track. Convenient and always available. I love this app. I used to pay over the phone but now this app has all of my needs at my fingertips.
The app works well but as of late it doesn’t give you the previous days usage. It’s actually 3 days behind. So if you are trying to keep track of your daily usage ( the next day) you can not. So app really not needed , just log in on line to get your usage from three days prior.
The SMUD app is fantastic. It’s very helpful to track your energy use day by day, and even by the hour. Using this app allows me to adjust my energy usage so I can save money.
Color issues with background and text the same color
The app is great to see the billing and usage details, but after recent update the color of the background is the same as the text on it. Dark grey text on black background and white text on white background make it difficult to read anything
I would give it no stars if it was possible...I am unable to even log in. Every time I put in my login information the app crashes. I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling it and it still does it. Very disappointed seeing how convenient it would be to have the app instead of having to go on the website...
This app will not let me login. I thought I put my password in wrong so I changed that but even then it keeps saying “something went wrong on our end. Please try again later” I even deleted and redownloaded the app and it still says the same thing.
It says. I data to load should be available in A few days. But it has said the for a month. I have autopay and don’t need to see or make payments. The usage is the only thing I need. Useless.
I’ve never been able to log in to the app. Every time I’ve tried it tells me something went wrong on their end and to try again. I can log in to the website just fine with the same info.
I have a smud account. I am able to log in with no issues on a web page, but every time I try to use the same IDENTICAL log in on the app it tells me there is an issue signing in and to try again. I would like to be able to use the app. What the hell os the issue????!!!!
The new update changed the app to dark mode which is nice BUT the text is also dark so you can’t read anything. It’s been about a month now since this update came out and it’s still not fixed.
I have to use the website to view the bill because the app quits when I click on it. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Same behavior on iOS 17 and 18.
After logging into the main page, shortly after a few seconds the entire screen becomes unresponsive. This occurred both on my 13 pro max and my 16 pro max.
Today, I set up an account with SMUD. Downloaded the app and I signed in to my account. After signing in the app backs out. I signed in onto my account twice, and the app still crashes. Why is doing that?
It was so easy to use, and now it just freezes on the homepage, and I can’t do an anything. Tried rebooting, reinstalling, all of the above. Disappointed. /:
I try to edit a credit card, it crashes. I tried to add a credit card, it crashes. I tried to edit the amount I want to pay, it crashes. Many many attempts and wasted time. Also won’t let me use a credit card a single time without forcing it to be saved to the database :/
But maybe Covid19 killed it. App no longer get to account screen; just hangs then crashes. SMUD pays to advertise on radio and tv telling us how great they are but running an app doesn’t appear to be a priority.
