Great until it became an Expensive paperweight
Edit to add an Update!! I finally received an email back and my account was reset. I changed my review to 5 stars bc it is an excellent internet service. I’ve had starlink for about a year now and everything was going great. I recently got married so my husband joined my phone plan (which resulted new phone/ new number for him) and I changed my name at my bank so that resulted in a new card being issued. His number/ my bank card was being used for the starlink account. Guess what that means?? We can’t access our starlink account due to the required 2 part authentication. We know the password but we can’t get the authenticator number since he has a new number. You can’t call or communicate with ANYONE to get this fixed. I have sent emails and things through their website with zero response for WEEKS!! I know that my starlink bill is past due and I can’t pay it due to not being able to access my account to add my new card info! I have sent them tons of info thinking they would help me get into my account and they NEVER respond. They have ZERO customer service numbers. You can’t contact anyone. So now I have an expensive paperweight once it disconnects. The service is great as long as you never get locked out of your account.

The new standard for home internet!
I’m an IT admin and I’m floored. I came to set this satellite service up for a family who lives a rural, desert location and I expected it to be a slight improvement over their existing satellite internet provider who I CONSTANTLY heard complaints about but I couldn’t do anything (I’m not an ISP and the cable and phone companies won’t drop service here). They finally got into this Starlink program and now I want it! The transparency, simplicity, and the SERVICE are GREAT! This should be what the other ISP’s are copying because I want visibility to know when my home’s last network outage occurred and the duration. Instead of guessing network speeds, they provide the testing tools right instead the app. It’s great! Since I am an IT Admin, I will say that I wish there were some MORE router configuration options available (like guest wireless, child safety tools, etc.) but NONE of that is a priority over the current tools that Starlink has provided here. Those are only things that could bog services and hardware down over time, so I’ll gladly take this setup and hope that they keep their foot on the pedal to become the next big ISP!

Very Rural Community
My family and I live in a very rural community that has almost zero wifi access. There is wifi available in this area but it is insanely expensive and only realistically can handle one device at a time and that even is a struggle. We waited almost exactly a year without wifi or internet of any kind just because we were not willing to pay for a service that would not work. We bought Starlink probably about a week ago and it is absolutely amazing. We are currently running 8 devices and have not experienced any sort of issues with loading videos or even movies. Gaming and downloading games used to be unrealistic for us but with Starlink we are able to download several games in a day if we wanted. Honestly, we’ve lived in a decent sized city and the internet here is now better than what we were getting in the “city”. For anyone looking for excellent wifi without any buffering or downloading issues, get Starlink. Seriously. Do not waste your time and money on anything else.

Living rural!
We have always lived just out of reach. For many years. In the early 2000’s we had cell phones we could only use if we were in the city or at work. An hour plus away! Today we still live in a rural area. Still have no internet or cell services in my area. When starlink came out it was the only thing my kids wanted for Christmas. We had satellite internet that was NOT starlink and we had to pay for a landline. Years later I get asked all the time from friends, family and the like about starlink. They all want to know if the hype is real. I tell them, I’ll be taking my starlink to my next home. Where ever that might be. I’m selling my property and am asked if I’ll leave the starlink. Ummmmm no. Especially since I believe the new improved equipment is way more expensive. And why would I? I’ve NEVER had a problem with it. We watch TV, game, surf internet, shop and make calls and I have NEVER had an issue. I don’t know of any other product I can say that about. STARLINK FAMILY FOR LIFE!

“Micro tornado”
Our neighborhood, perhaps a five mile area, was impacted by an isolated, of what many in the neighborhood called a micro tornado. 30 electric poles were destroyed, trees and power lines became intertwined, and people’s property was heavily impacted. Those who drove down our one way street were trapped and those who lived on our one way street could not return home. I hosted several strangers in our garage until the streets were opened and there was no way to communicate with the outside world. Once our generator was powered on, we could get electricity to Starlink which helped us communicate with the entire neighborhood to give them updates. Starlink is a game changer. I am writing this from our other house that has ZERO cell service, by once again, Starlink. It continues to enable our family us to communicate with the outside world where for school, work, or entertainment. I could go on and on about the way Starlink has impacted our lives, but I’ll save that for the next storm. Thanks team Starlink. Nicholas B.

Opportunities for Improvement
1) Your “feedback” list needs to include “download speed” to report up or down. 2) Download speed does not reflect the reported speeds from the “Speed Test”. 3) The “Statistics” screen is a disaster. It is unreadable in terms of contrast of the graph labels, and the graphs are so flat, with no visible scale, that they are meaningless. 4) the “Support” options list only a limited number of choices, NOT including “Other”. So, we are forced to select an irrelevant option, to then be give another list of irrelevant solution. I realize the objective is to avoid having to actually give support by forcing the customer to wade through a mass of previously posted canned solutions to what you perceive to be common problems, but rarely are. Surely you can do better. I want to live this Starlink product, but support issues severely detract from customer satisfaction. Some documentation of the app would be helpful. A downloadable UG with ALL the functions, so it doesn’t have to be searched for in the various app menus. The system comes with literally NO documentation other than 2 cardboard illustrations completely lacking ANY textual references!

Starlink
We bought our Starlink unit and haven’t looked back since. We lived out in the country so the only internet service that was provided was slow, spotty, and capped out at slow speeds. Starlink changed all that and gave my wife the capability to have reliable internet she could count on to work from home with and allowed me the luxury of being able to game from time to time. Set-Up was really easy (I went overboard with how I personally routed measures I took to protect the cable but that was 100% on me). The app makes it easy to keep track of things and gage internet speeds. I find it really convenient that you can take the unit wherever you go and can temp set it up in minutes. And you can’t really argue the cool factor with having one. In the early days the service was a little lacking but now I don’t have a single bad thing to say about it. Our family knows it can count on Starlink and we will never go anywhere else for our internet needs.

What can I say? (Before Starlink)
Elon Musk you have truly made the world happy I know for one thing that you have given me actual hope of having good internet. Relying off of phone lines for internet and only getting downloads speeds of 1-3mbps if even that on one device is truly and disappointment and seeing how the fiber optic internet situation we are having in my are with them going down half my road and stoping and coming from the other side of my road only the the edge causes some serious lag. For example, call of duty games have always been my favorite and now that internet requires faster speeds to function anymore has caused me to ultimately slow down on gaming almost to where I never wanna play anymore. And Starlink has given me enough hope to rekindle my love for gaming. With this I also plan to build my first Pc and join a new community of gamers after being an xbox fan for so long. Thank you and please never stop innovating you are truly the best man on earth with a wonderful purpose in life.

Internet/Wifi
For at least about 30 years I’ve been with Verizon using their wireless DSL for my internet. It did a lot of buffering and was very slow. The WiFi dropped calls all of the time. I live in about a 2000 square foot rancher one story brick home. Your average 3 bedroom two bath with living room, kitchen with adjacent dining area. One car garage that’s converted into a family gym. The yard outside, I have a nice spacious front, two sides and a backyard with a 12X16 shed/man-cave getaway. I can go anywhere on my property as well as inside the house in any room where there’s a lot of walls and can close the doors and still get awesome very strong reception without any buffering if on the internet on any of my devices or dropped calls if I’m on my cell. Glad I now have Star Link. I’m telling everyone and show them my equipment and the power that I now have. I have since then discontinued my services with Verizon completely other than my cellular service. 👍🏾💯

Starlink issues
So far, I LOVE my Starlink. As a full time Raver traveling around the country, it is above and beyond all other mobile internet services. Although, with all the good, there are some drawbacks. First and foremost… obstructions. Not all RV parks have a perfectly clear view of the sky. Even the slightest of covering by trees, building, etc… internet will slow to a crawl or not work at all. Secondly, the dish obviously must remain outside to have a clear view of the sky. Makes sense, but leaves the dish susceptible to the force of nature. We recently had a storm come through and damaged our dish. Luckily we had warranty and it was replaced at no charge. The issue that we ran into is that after setting up new Starlink kit, Starlink is trying to charge of for 2 accounts. Currently struggling with Starlink to make this right. All in all, it’s a fantastic product and I highly recommend utilizing it, but the drawbacks can be quite frustrating.

A lot of positives/decently priced
I have had starlink for a year and a half. It’s the best satellite internet out there. It can compare to hard wire internet. We have had a few issues when it changes satellites at night we would lose signal around 10:00 pm. After a few weeks that issue stopped. My nephew said he had no issues with gaming. We have ran 4 tv without no lag and never ran out of data. That’s a major plus. We had other providers for satellite and data usage would always throttle. One time we had a issue where I believe the satellite malfunction and we lost internet for over a week. A new dish was sent and we were refunded. The new dish works great and it was fairly easy to get replaced. Even during thunderstorms the internet works great. I hope they continue to update the system it has been a lifesaver for my family and when they have to do school work.

The best service in our rural area
Over the years we have used Direct TV, Dish, Prime Star, Wild Blue, Viasat, Hughesnet and others. All of them gave us streaming service which was ok in good weather. All of them provided some kind of internet service but it would have been faster to build our own rocket and taken our upload to space to the satellite ourself. In bad weather nothing worked. It was always 1996 satellite service. Then we bought Starlink. I’m always online for business using video services, email and more. My kids play every game they have on PlayStation 5 with no issues. The service dropping in bad weather is rare and when it does it’s usually only for a few minutes. I have more issues with the electric staying on than Starlink. Starlink is the only service you need. It’s fare above all the others even though the satellites are much lower 😂😂😂.

Best internet I’ve had!
I’m just outside of town where I have no choice of good internet. We have tried a few other options and not to put them on blast but they were way below standards of expectation and the money we were paying. We couldn’t even get a big cell phone company internet in our location to give us internet because we are not in “their” service area and we are less than 20 miles from a major city. Starlink is a game changer for us. We could never have our tv,iPads, PlayStation and all of our phones running on internet at once. They would lag and or not even connect. Myself would never have WiFi on because it would never work. Now I have no problems at all. We never lose or have to power down and reset the system to get it back on line. I absolutely love it! Best change I have ever made! Thank you Starlink!

An incredible top notch system at a competitive price
I live in rural North Carolina with limited cellular coverage/service and no cable. Both my wife and I work from home and require high speed internet. For the past 5 years I’ve tried satellite and cellular internet (Viasat and Verizon). Both were very limited and neither performed even close to what they claimed. In the case of Viasat it had download limits and became cost prohibitive. Verizon provides a couple different platforms but none could ever receive a consistently strong signal to function properly. Last week, after much research, I purchased and installed Starlink. Within minutes I felt like a caveman that had discovered fire. The internet speeds are absolutely amazing and consistent. The installation was a breeze and couldn’t be easier. Thank you Starlink the days of caveman internet access are over!

Excellent App
The Starlink’s App is excellent. It allows for easy set-up of Starlink and of your WiFi user name / password. It’s interface is simple, attractive and functional, allowing you to check your network locally or from thousands of miles away. Features include network statistics, speed check, on-line status, dish obstructions, control of the 2.4 and 5Ghz networks, remote reboot and more. This also allows you to turn on and off heat mode (snow melting) in the satellite dish, which is useful if you’re running off battery / solar to reduce current draw. I’ve been using Starlink for about six months and this App has always been stable and continues to improve. A guest network for the Starlink router would be great, but I just use a second router for this. I think Starlink’s goal has been to make this interface stupid simple and it is! Excellent work by the developer!

You better be an IT person to operate
I’ve had this for a year and It’s great when it works but spotty coverage and a very cryptic app make it maddeningly frustrating to operate. I’ve spent countless hours dealing with the app and SL. Tech support is non existent- literally. No phone no email no chat. You must go many layers deep into the website to create a support ticket and then wait days for a response. Every time I try to log into manage my account I receive an invalid credentials and have to reset my PS. Every single time. I spent half a day trying to reactivate my account when I finally realized they increased the rate from $130 to $150. Nothing in the app or online indicates this. No email or text either to remind users to do this. Even after finally updating to the $150 rate still unsuccessful at getting it online. Deleted and reinstalled the app, set the router to factory settings many times with still no luck. Cable is also not robust enough to survive many connections. What a shame they have completely neglected proper support for this product as there is unfortunately nothing like it.

Unexpected ease of installation and startup
Few products anymore can be used as advertised. We can all find (post-purchase of course) pages of exceptions, warnings, caveats, carve outs that significantly impact the use of the product, whether its needing parts, not having all the info needed, delays in customer support or the thing just not working as expected. Not so with starlink. I did need a third party part to install the antenna due to my roof situation but even that was explained clearly pre-purchase. Installation was 5th grade level of complexity and accomplished in a few minutes. In fact, there are few, if any, actual words needed, just diagrams. Hang the antenna, plug in three wires and use the starlink app to watch it go. Worked immediately at 400 mbps then shot to nearly 600 after half a day of being awake. PC, tv, wifi all outstanding speeds and reliable connection.

5 Stars all the way!
If you are on the fence about Starlink, just do it! After calling the cable company to get internet my home was less than a quarter mile from an access point but turned down. Next up DSL and had been using that at 3 to 4 Mbps. I called trying to get an increase in speed but was told what I had .. the 5 Mbps was the best they could do due to my location. A friend at work has Starlink and told me how awesome it works and he could now have his wife homeschool their son!!! So I signed up thinking all along this is like satellite internet and would be laggy and such but I was blown away when 20 minutes in aligning my Starlink in my front yard on the ground 120 Mbps!!!!! So it normally runs at least 100 Mbps minimum I’m on month 2 with it sitting on my lawn not mounted to roof of house yet and I tell everyone how well it performs right out of the box!!!

Skeptical
I tell ya! I was “on the fence” for months on getting Starlink. I wish I would’ve done it the first month I thought about it!!! I literally waisted a lot of months thinking about it, instead of just jumping in feet first and just doing it!! This company this internet the reviews the speed is beyond FANTASTIC!!!!!!! I am so happy with it! We have extreme high winds where we live with no trees for shelter or blocking the winds. So with that said we haven’t lost signal not even once!! The speed of the internet is great! I have told soooo many people about Starlink and I will continue to! If you are skeptical like myself and worry yourself to pieces about things like this. Just know I am that person. Best decision I finally ever made! Thank you Starlink for helping me make this expensive decision and knowing that it’s worth the money spent! Worth every penny!

Extreme Rural Service
I live an hours drive to town each way and at least a mile down a very terrible dirt road. Many of us are considered off-grid living because we are not connected to the power grid instead we use generator, solar, etc. Before Starlink was available I could not get internet services, no streaming television, no learning new things online, no connection to the world. When I heard of Starlink I was skeptical that it would work. Living on ssi meant that getting Starlink was going to be a huge financial strain mostly because of the large upfront cost of equipment. I can say that having Starlink has changed my life for the better. The service is truly exceptional! I would not hesitate to recommend this to everyone. It’s worth it!

Lousy, lousy, double lousy starlink app and support
Maybe Elon Musk is brilliant and maybe not. But the starlink app is some of the worst software ever perpetrated. Cryptic non-standard interface. It looks like and undergraduate coding project. Perhaps it was written in Pascal or Basic. I am attempting to add a mesh router. Online instructions say to do this in settings. Unfortunately, my starlink app seems to lack this ability. There is no bypass radio button in Settings. If I log onto Starlink on the web, it shows the grayed interface to choose by pass mode and says I have to do this in the app. Of course, this s cruel joke by some Muskolite pothead programmers who just needed a good laugh. My starlink was downloaded in May 2022 from the Apple Store, so it should be up to date. Maybe an ild version? So I tried to delete the app to reinstall. The icon disappears but the app is still there. I cannot reinstall it. WHAT A JOKE app. I guess they aren’t raking in enough cash to write functional software or provide ANY support. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. By the way, this is FACTUAL free speech, Elon.

It was good
App works fine, dish is easy enough to set up and I love the mobility of Starlink. But over the last 2 years I’ve seen a steady decline in speed and availability. I have enough connection to keep working. But the 30 second to 5 min outages for network issues gets very old when they’re frequent. I went from an issue once every month or 2 to weekly disconnects. Cons: data cap, raising my rate for living in a congested area (rural Montana is congested…?), dropping speeds, and no ability to use my own equipment!!! I made a jumper so I didn’t have to fish the Ethernet from the dish to my router through my house whenever I wanted to pick up and go. As soon as I connected it, my speeds got throttled and the app was saying the cord was damaged. Once I skipped the jumper, I was good to go (the pin test on my jumper passed, so it wasn’t an issue with my jumper). Pros: internet anywhere with a clear sky and an outlet.

Our Community
I have yet to get my kit but I have friends who have just received theirs. I just have to say that we are incredibly grateful for this service. My friends have been blown away by the speed and consistency that they are able to receive using Starlink in our small community. With Covid-19 the need for reliable internet skyrocketed and our community, which still does not have cell phone coverage over approximately half of it and has had the equivalent to dial up internet over the majority is waiting with great anticipation to test out and use this new service. Which is less expensive than the other satellite service we currently have and is unlimited verses the 10 gb limit of our current satellite. Needless to say we are appreciative and grateful for Starlink!

Beware of Starlink
You finally get your Dishy after waiting 6 months, you pull it out of the box and plug it all in. You see the dish start to move, it’s amazing, the app onboarding is buttery smooth and within 10 minutes you have fast internet. That’s how Starlink used to be prior to Dec 2022. I began to have issues with my service, many outages, constant speed drops (slower than dial-up at times). Reached out to Starlink support mid-Dec I didn’t get any response by Jan 10th so I filed a report with the FCC two weeks later they responded to my support ticket, they decide they don’t know what the issue is and send new equipment, another 2 weeks go by, issue still persists and I’ve been unable to reliably contact their support since (end of Feb). If it works, it works great, if it doesn’t you’re in a word of pain trying to get through to support, which they don’t offer any kind of phone support so you play a game of cat and mouse using their support chat within Starlink, which again can take minimum weeks once they respond to you. That is even if the app will let you send a message, feels about 20% of all support messages that I send either go unsent or disappear after saying they’ve been sent. Watch out for Starlink, I believe they’ve over promised their capacity of the network and are overselling regions, hiking service prices, and generally running a consumer unfriendly company.

Starlink Home Internet
Truly one of the best investments I’ve made in my home. Starlink has allowed us to have truly high speed internet in an area where high speed internet isn’t an option. I saw some complaints about customer service, while I would say it is a little more challenging than other customer service options. Starlinks customer is responsive and willing to help work through any issues you have. I would highly recommend Starlink to anyone regardless of whether or not you live in an area with high speed internet. We have seen a vary significant increase in speeds in our area. It’s awesome to be involved with a company that is constantly innovating and pushing the limits.

NEED DIRECTIONAL STOW
RV/Tractor Trailer/Mobile uses need a directional stow option!!!! Dishy mounted on mobile vehicles in a specific orientation cannot stow properly after each location change. I spent all day coming up with a creative “pole mount” for my truck (tractor trailer). I utilized a ratcheted load bar that truckers use to secure loads. These are already stored in a rack attached to the back of the cab. After meticulous measurements I was able to create a mount whereby I can crank Dishy up above my truck height, then back down below before driving. Dishy was mounted on the load bar pole parallel with the back of the truck cab that left 4 inches space from touching. Everything was perfect until Dishy first whirled around to locate satellites. Everything still great. Until later when I hit stow and lazy Dishy just tilted down in the new orientation. Now I can’t crank down my mount because the side of Dishy hits the truck. And since the load bar pole has a racket handle sticking out it can’t be rotated. Please, please, please add a directional stow option to spin Dishy first to a specific location before stow for RV/Truck mounts that need to stow in original orientation! Especially for the fact that we constantly change locations!!! This is going to be a PITA everyday because truckers move everyday!! Please add this to the app and you’ll get 6 stars!!!!

Great Service
The recent uptick in negative reviews came right after Elon speaks conservative comments and exposed the Twit for the American marxist organization they are. No surprise there from the DCP. Been using Starlink for months and the vast improvement at half the cost is great. Elon is the best tech engineer since Nicola Tesla invented electrical power, radio that is the root basis of all modern electronics. I love the fact I can contribute to putting Viasat and Hughesnet out of business. Both claim high mbps, but only get a quarter of the speed with very high latency. But, their contract terms state they do not guarantee the advertised speed. So, able to charge twice the amount of Starlink but only deliver 1/4 of the speed and does not violate the terms of the Viasat or Hughes contract.

Wow!!
I have to say I am so impressed with my Tesla plaid. It’s far exceeded my expectations and I would say the same with Starlink. I took my mother, father, wife, and dogs on a trip in my motorhome. Then Internet actually worked while I was driving and worked in such a remote area that you couldn’t even use cell service. I was able to use my phone through the Starlink satellite system. It really is one of a kind in my opinion, the only thing that was a bummer we did some online gaming and it used the service pretty quickly on the $250 service plan only for three days and I went over my usage and went to more of a throttle usage but it still worked. I really have no complaints.

I was paying way too much for local Internet providers
I actually found out about Starlink when I was attempting to have doorbell cameras installed, and I was told that my upload speed was extremely too low, and I attempted to make arrangements with my current at the time Internet provider by purchasing an additional Internet package solely for the security cameras. I did that the Internet was still too slow so when the guy came back out, he was like hey you should get this Internet that they use on both and in the desert and yada yada yada and so I took a chance on it and when I say my Internet is so fast, I have no issues not even in storms. I’m so appreciative and thankful.

Most update rendered the app mostly useless.
I use my own router & wifi AP. I’m not using the Starlink wifi. The older version of the app worked fine with this arrangement, I could view all the settings, statistics, speed & obstruction pages. The first time I used the new version of the app, the app wouldn’t connect to my Starlink. After poking around for a bit I found a ‘remote’ option. Selecting that worked and all was normal. The next day I attempted to use the app and it takes me to a page where the only options are: Order Starlink & Setup Starlink. Thought maybe the app needed to be setup again, I tried the Setup Starlink option. Can’t get past the wifi setup page. It’s looking for the Starlink routers wifi to continue setup. My Starlink is working fine and I can use the Starlink web page to see my Starlink usage and speed, etc, just can’t use the app anymore.

Will not work at all with 3d party routers
When the Starlink Router is connected, the app will let you control a few things. Considering it is all in Beta testing, I really didn’t expect full control yet. But if you have and or need to use a third party router, the app thinks the Dishy is not connected and up and running. Horse Hockey. Some people can play with the settings and get it to work with their personal third-party routers, but it should not be necessary to do that at all. The app should see that it’s connected to the StarLink satellite dish and show you all the appropriate information since it’s coming from the dish itself and not the router. So that is a bad Starlink. If and when they ever fix that issue, the app will be rated five stars. Until then I had to give them three, but I was actually looking at two Stars.

I totally agree with Andrew brown face!!!! This is my second replacement Satellite!!! While the are great about replacing them after much stress dealing with the support back and forth!!! The first time we received the replacement was no problem it connected right away, no problem! We purchased Starlink because we travel and can take it with us! The first time it worked great! The second time not so great! We were out with very poor data service on our cell phone and had a hard time even connecting with support, we had to have our daughter communicate with support! I still cannot connect the replacement Satellite, I am totally frustrated! I am a vey bussy person and don’t have time for all this support texting!!! We need a phone contact to explain exactly what’s happening!!!

Tis the internet service of the present and future
I have had Starlink since 2021 for my RV. I live in the RV full time and have traveled with Starlink. The service has been outstanding, fast, and unmatched for my current living style. The great thing about the service is that it gets better and better. I have used the service for gaming, movie streaming and surfing the web. Connection is very important to me because I currently attend college full time online and need to trust my internet provider. So far so good. P.s. if I could complain about one thing it would be the increase from $135 to $150 per month. In this economy every dollar is precious.. wish it went back… anyway there it is.

Advantages that matter
Having the current setup has gave me an advantage not being connected on the grid using the utility poles. 1) (Not being connected in the grid) Over the period of time I had my Starlink during natural disasters that has caused the utility poles to go down in different areas caused an outage in internet in my county even after the power was connected back it still took around a week for the internet to be connected back for my neighbors causing them to come over and use my connection. 2) (Tested in war torn countries) It has proven that it is a reliable solution even during the conflict overseas to provide services in a war torn nation. If you have a generator in worst case scenario you could have access to internet due to there being no connection to the internet connection that is through utility poles. 3) (Tested in natural disaster) The satellite has worked great during inclement weather conditions such as rain and snow. The satellite has an auto feature to heat the dish during cold weather and a way to preheat for extreme cold conditions.

Horrible compass
Horrible company nothing but lies!! every year all they keep saying is sorry will send your order next year sorry will send your order next year and been like that for years!! Im sick or their lies!! Each year is oh sorry next year and raising prices all the time while they keep sending the dishes to people that already have high speed Internet! They don’t even do proper research. Ive had a star in my area for years and they still can’t deliver product. After reading reviews the Internet is slow and customer service is non existent in the event that they do answer they are really rude and unhelpful! Yet somehow they keep making new dishes for 3x the price instead of fulfilling order of ppl who ordered years ago! Cancelling my order and I want nothing to do with them also filing a report with the governing bodies to share my experiments! Their licenses should be revoked immediately!

Impressed!
We moved out into the country and never considered what internet options we would have. Turns out there were very few. The best service we’ve had available for the past 12 years was capable of 5Mb/s download and maybe 0.2Mbs upload. With 2 teenagers and 2 adults in a house, let’s just say it’s been a miserable 12 years. I received my Starlink Gen 3 kit and had it installed in just a couple of hours. First Speedtest I did showed 230Mb/s down, 35 Mb/s up, and 19ms Ping. I’ve had it installed for a few days now and it’s been flawless. I wish I would’ve tried this sooner. Consistently getting 100+ download and 30+ upload. Thanks Starlink!!

Perfect
I’m am truly grateful for the opportunity to review this product. I have used it at my mining claim 53 miles away from the closet community. Very remote area in timber covered region at the altitude of 7,162 feet in Central Idaho south of the Salmon River. It always works for texting, chats and occasional cell phone calls using WiFi. Internet connectivity has been as low as 92.6 percentage. This is the best system I’ve ever had the opportunity to use. It keeps me connected to my friends and family. It is the most reliable system I’ve found. Yes, it’s costly but it is worth every penny. I’m completely convinced that the StarLink System and Service are the best in the world.

Very pleased!
Where we live in rural northwest Louisiana cell coverage is spotty at best, no dsl/cable available so satellite was our only choice. We tried the other satellite provider and was disappointed, since getting Starlink we dropped our satellite tv service and stream everything now! We also reduced our cell package to the minimum because we use SL for our calls, so no more missed calls at home! We typically get speeds of 120mb down and 30mb up with a latency of 25ms, very fast! At times it way faster like later in the evenings, or really early morning. I highly recommend Starlink to anyone living rural suffering like we did for 12 years!

Rural customer
We were stuck with no choices for internet (2 choices both $400+ a month for crappy practically unusable metered satellite internet) for 20 years. It was frustrating. Then last year we bought Starlink. Not only are we saving a ton of money, but now service is fast enough that I can work from home (something I could not even consider doing with the other provider) Starlink is the best thing since sliced bread. It’s amazing. I have since referred all of my neighbors and friends. 8 of which have already switched with 7 more switching this month, as well as 3 businesses. I highly recommend

Exceptionally reliable internet
If you have been on the fence about getting a Starlink for your internet I strongly suggest that you do. I have traveled all over Alaska from big cities to small villages hundreds of miles from modern amenities and it’s always connected and always provided me with reliable internet. Ditch your contracts and ditch the leash that those other internet providers lock you into only to provide you with less than mediocre service. I can’t speak of customer service because in my almost 3 years I have never had to call them cause I haven’t had any issues. Not one

Terrible Tech Support
My WIFI has been out for hours. No telephone tech support and no reply to my emails. Paying for service I now do not have!!! I’ve only had the service about 6 months. As an update, I didn’t have service for WEEKS. Didn’t get an answer from Support for WEEKS. I needed a new dish, which they sent without charge, but because I’d had mine installed on top of my roof, it cost $200 to have it changed out and reinstalled. Their response to my complaints was a snarky canned answer. Starlink Support makes Comcast look good! I am very sorry I went with this service. It’s expensive to buy the dish, expensive for the monthly service, which would be OK if Support was good, but as it’s not, that was the icing on the cake. No, I don’t recommend them and I’m now stuck for awhile since I’ve invested so much. I would give them ZERO stars if possible.

Starlink is god sent
So a couple years ago, we bought a house out in the country the house of our dreams, but of course we get in it and it literally has zero Internet service and they do not run internet cable out here and the other satellite Internet providers were absolutely horrible. We were paying $500 a month just to have crappy service but it was service and I work from home so I had to do something when we got Starlink. It was like night day our Internet is fast. Calls are clear everything is perfect, thank you and everybody who worked on it it really is a Godsend

The BEST internet I have ever had
In the area where I live, I have had to pay almost double the amount of money that I pay for Starlink to only get Internet service every once in a while. The speeds on my other Internet were also so slow and my data ran out within a couple weeks with only a couple of phones on it. I have been able to do streaming, use all our phones and home and my kids play their games. Finally I can run my new business from home. Thank you so much for your service means so much to me and my family. Thank you for helping families in the dead zones.

Mobile Starlink
I am a business owner, who also likes to travel and do a lot of camping off grid. My business requires me to be near Wi-Fi often which has in the past limited me on how much outdoor activity I was able to enjoy. Since getting Starlink mobile it has freed me up to be able to enjoy my favorite places in this state of Idaho that I live in. Starlink gives me the ability to check in with work, get answers to questions needed, order supplies as needed, have the peace of mind of knowing everything is being taken care of, so that I can truly enjoy my outdoor time. Works flawlessly!

Local internet wasn’t working.
We had a lot of trouble with our local internet, it was down all the time, we live on a dead end street at the end of another dead end street, trying to get servicemen out here was difficult, and fiber was a long way out, so we switched to Star Link, and things are great! We even take it camping with us and enjoy wifi calling and movie streaming where nobody else can. They have since brought fiber in past our home but we are staying with Star Link, for reliability and mobility! Thank you Star Link for keeping us connected to the world!

Absolutely stellar - pun intended
My family struggled with reliable high speed internet for years until our Starlink arrived. We have had it for a few months now, and have only had three nights during severe weather where the briefly cut out. We have no problem streaming, or downloading. My family and I feel that we have so many more opportunities because of our Starlink. UPDATE (29 SEP 2022): We are in Central Florida and still dealing with weather from Hurricane Ian - our Starlink has still not lost service and has continued to maintain it’s signal. My family and I can’t say enough great things about Starlink.

Our best decision ever!!!
We live in the country and internet resources are scarce. We tried satellite and DSL internet with poor service. Coming from unlimited DSL at a top speed of 2 mbps on our good days this internet is amazing. We are now able to run all of our devices at the same time. My son does a lot of online gaming and it works great. Well did I mention you can also stream movies too. We put it on a table outside and plugged it in. Turned it to the direction the app recommended and that was all it took. I am so glad we made the change to this system.

Horrible experience. Poor internet and no customer service
We have had starlink for 6 weeks and it is a complete scam! The mesh router has no range so they recommended getting a second one, at an additional cost of course. Over 6 weeks we have had 3 outages. The second mesh router does not stay connected to the network. The phone and tv say they are connected to starlink but have no internet connectivity. We have just as much buffering as with AT&T. Most shows will not stream in hd and everything buffers. There is no customer support on weekends it appears. All support is done by email. The scam is that you have to buy everything upfront and they do not give refunds after 30 days. So they sell faulty equipment which you have to keep and pause you trying to cancel before 30 days so they can keep your money.

Best out there.
Working in the West Texas/ New Mexico oil field most places have no service. This has been a game changer for many of us. It doesn’t matter if it’s overcast, sand storms, raining or snow it works regardless better than my home internet. 5 minutes to set up each day and 5 minutes to lock on to a satellite and I’m good to do anything on my phone, tablet or computer the rest of the day. At about $38 dollars a week it was a wise investment. I could easily see this putting all of its competitors out of business such as Verizon, AT&T and others in the coming years.

Amazing service
After years of wired internet service, I finally had enough. Over paying for poor service and quality of product, led me to try Starlink. My parents had it first and loved it. The infrastructure in my area is below par. The ease of setup was surprising. Once everything was aimed and wired, my family saw the difference. Very fast internet. Weather does effect the signal, but the slowdown (or rare outage) only lasts while heavy cloud cover (ie heavy storms) are directly over our area. I highly recommend this for anyone who lives outside major metro areas.
