Great at first, but...
UPDATED: I changed my review to 4 stars because while I didn’t see in the notes that the display audits would be temporary, I could have missed it. I was told that the other visits would be reoccurring, but that could have been a staff mistake. There is still very little communication, but I think that’s just how this kind of thing works. You have to be motivated, you have to be a self starter and really self reliant/confident. If you do the job, you will get paid. That’s one thing I do like about this company. They fairly pay you for all the time you take to do a job (and sometimes there are extra incentives to get it done faster). I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue or what, but my assignments kept disappearing and then that whole category along with my previously assigned reoccurring promotional display audit visits disappeared. My messages don't get replies anymore, it's almost like they just want new people instead of steady, consistent, reliable people. Yes, I did start one assignment a little late in the day, but I had spent twice as long as originally indicated on 2 projects that day to make the deadline. I'm really bummed because it seemed like this was going really well, and this happens. Maybe it's just an error, but to just delete all the projects with no communication is strange and not a very nice way to treat someone.

If the two above are a yes for you, then you can actually make some serious money. I started on this app mid March last year and to date I cashed out a little over 15 k. And what’s crazy is I could of made more. I’m in college and at times would accept too many jobs when I had to study. I also don’t really do the resets. Although I may soon. I get offers for 4-8 hour shifts making 15-20 an hour almost daily. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because at one point they put me on “probation” because I called in support and asked for too many job extensions. As I said I’m in college. So I’d push them back all the time when I had big tests. But nobody at support told me that “hey if you do this too many more times without doing jobs you’ll be on probation”. It lasted a month and missed out on tons of jobs I was regularly getting. So word of advice don’t ask for an extension unless you have an emergency or have already done a good amount of jobs that day. Also support clearly works from home and some of them are very very hard to understand due to poor connection. Other than that the app has actually been a life saver for me. I’m able to study and have a free flexible job with real income on the side.

No consistency what so ever and so rude
Some of the staff is amazing, but you’ll never get the same person twice, they do that so they don’t have to be held accountable! They will blow your phone up when they want you to work, but are never there when you need help! Fixing a situation is up to their discretion, so hopefully you get a staff member in a good mood that day! Also If they don’t ask for a certain picture (but it’s required to get paid) and you don’t take it or if your pictures are not perfect, you WILL NOT get paid for your time even tho you do exciting that is asked of you in the app. It doesn’t matter, they will find a way so they don’t have to pay you! Get everything in writing before doing any job on this app and last but not least MAKE sure that your getting your money that was promised cuz they will go up and above to not pay you for something, they look for mistakes so they don’t have to pay you!!! So be careful and keep track of your money! Remember having Five stars and a gold star does nothing for you you get the same exact jobs and the same exact pay as someone who just signed up yesterday! Remember, it’s an app so you’re working for Robot in a sense! If you are an introvert and never want to communicate with your boss this is the perfect app for you, but dont expect to be treated as a person cuz your not your just a number they call to get their money!! Remember that!! Your not special or treated any different then a bot!

Mixed feelings - used to be good
This app and company have gone down hill. To start, initial job payments have been cut almost in half due to influx of “influencers” using their followers for the referral money. A sad misuse of power and sheep. The next issue is the mergers. This app was bought by a bigger app and that app merged this app and another app. Sound like a mess? It is. Then there’s the reviewers. If you get something denied, verify they are right in their denial. I’ve had a few times where the reviewer was wrong. Idk if they got paid, but their mistakes cost me money. Then there’s they actual app itself. It seems to always need to download the jobs. You could have been in the job 2 min before, but since you left the app for whatever reason, it has to download the jobs again. It’s slow, faulty, and confusing. The job flows don’t make sense in either the wording or the order of steps to complete. But if you manage to navigate the confusing app, find a decent paying job, get it approved by a decent reviewer, and wait 7 days for the final approvals and payment….it’s ok. Another point to consider, some jobs for their big clients will be micromanaged. They will treat you like a kid, asking you to check in, if you don’t, like a first time parent, they’ll call and call till they hear from you. It’s borderline harassment sometimes.

If you don’t already know retail, do some reading first.
This has always been what I have done, so most things, displays, resets, facing, and other retail language, are second nature. Customer service is an automatic response for me and I love it all. I had to quit my passion due to illness and having this company give me a way to do it again is fabulous! The pay is fair, send when expected and the time limits are reasonable. When I read through the articles on the Q&A page I took it as a community coordinator would be one person I would interact with all the time or even a couple different, but it is nothing like the way they describe it. The jobs are great, from the business point this company has it going on but, it has random people answering maybe, some of the things you ask through the support page or message place in the app, which is frustrating. It can be unorganized and some responders seem to just barely skim my questions. I think a couple tweaks here and there and this company’s app could go far, but others are coming and one with it all may just take over.

Great support!
I've worked with a lot of third party contract services and have had exceptional, average and terrible experiences. On one particular project I did (and am currently still doing) through Merchandiser, my rep, Randy, is the biggest reason I continue working with this company. You're not gonna get rich doing these projects but it's a great way to supplement your income. The problem is that a lot of these services that contract out offer little to no support and sometimes take forever to approve completed projects or will even not approve them with no explanation or response to your inquiries about it. More times than not, it's pretty frustrating. But Randy has restored my faith! I've done close to 70 assignments with him now and he is ALWAYS quick to respond to me and offers solutions and words of encouragement consistently. Every issue I've encountered he has provided me with immediate resolve. Truly, a supportive rep like this makes a person WANT to produce. And his professional and friendly demeanor is outstanding and makes everything seem just "better." Merchandiser - you most certainly have a gem here and no doubt, he is quite an asset to your company. I enjoy working with Randy and look forward to many more projects in the future.

Updated Review to 3 Stars
I have completed 172 projects in the 2 years I’ve been using this app. I used to be offered an abundance of projects and was paid in a timely manner. I truly loved this app! But over the last year the hourly pay rate jobs are more scarce. And for the last 8-10 months I have had a difficult time getting paid on time and getting paid travel bonuses. As stated in other reviews, team leaders sometimes find any reason they can to deny you a promised travel bonus. For example, my most recent assignment consisted of 17 projects in which I was to receive $153 travel bonus upon completion of all the projects. One of the projects was returned to me to revisit. However, I did not have the signage I needed to complete the revision and the team leader refused to ship me the materials I needed so the project was invalidated. As a result, the team leader also refused to pay me the $153 travel bonus. I’m happy to report that middle management overrode the team leader and gave me the travel bonus. That said, You occasionally don’t get the support you need immediately. And in recent months getting paid correctly or on time is a real issue. That said, out of the 4-5 retail gig apps I use Survey Merchandiser is the app I recommend to friends for this type of work.

Super Awesome
I started working this app as a way to earn extra cash. I wasn’t expecting much and really thought I’d do nothing more than make a little gas money and possibly take my wife out to a nice dinner once in a while. I wasn’t prepared for what happened. I started working a few assignments and really started to enjoy the work I was doing. Even though all this was new to me. Before long and without even realizing it, I had set up a route of regular weekly visits, customers began to request me by name, and I was really getting the hang of this. It’s challenging and full filling at the same time. I have an awesome support team for any issues I may have during my assignments. They’ve helped me strive to be the best I can be, especially those that are tough on you, Maria you know who you are, thank you for pushing me to do better. On top of all that you get paid and I mean you can actually make real money doing this. Mortgage payment, car payment whatever the case may be, you can make money! If you enjoy meeting new people and learning about new products and have the gift of gab then definitely try this out.

DO NOT WORK FOR THESE SCAMMERS
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a place of employment. I went to a local Publix of mine to complete a photo audit and was doomed from the start. First of all, I was provided zero examples of how to take the photos and so I took them the best way that I knew how according to the task prompts. I even took extra shots just in case that a few others didn’t match their criteria. Well, after doubling the completion time (30 minutes) and a lot of effort, I had submitted the assignment which had come back denied. Apparently, I hadn’t taken photos at the proper angle or exact shelf length even though I literally went WORD FOR WORD on each question. Then, went haggling with several profiles (no chance at an actual person), all I was told was that it wasn’t good enough and that I only had 2 days to resume and ‘better’ the assignment. After pleading to simply be paid the measly $9 for my time and effort, I was turned away once again and given a fat “ol’ well.” Finally, I get a random text that my payment was FINALLY accepted after threatening to call the Better Business Bureau. Only kicker is...my account had been closed! Lolll without any notice or warning and MIND YOU, this was my very FIRST event without any prior instruction or assistance. This company is a joke and if you know what’s good for you, you won’t waste any time of yours like I unfortunately did mine.

Not sure yet.
Started using this app on friends recommendation. Not so sure I like it yet. It takes too long to get paid. My friend says her jobs are usually approved in 24 hours and it’s because I’m new. If this Is the case, my suggestion is to approve new people first so they know how they are doing. I can’t continue to complete jobs not know if previous ones were correct only to find out after dedicating hours that they might not be while continuing to waste my time. Additionally I find some instructions completely confusing. And There’s no one to ask for clarification. So for now I’ve halted working this gig because I got several jobs waiting for approval. For the record they do say it takes 7 days for job approval. I did do a job yesterday where I had to purchase a product and they did reimburse me the same day but the job is still waiting to be approved. Which makes no sense if they had to view job to reimburse. Bottom line is that it seems ok but if you need money for gas (they will ask you to travel great distances with travel pay) you have to come out of pocket and wait to be paid. Gig workers can’t afford the wait time to get paid all while spending money they might not have.

Do NOT use this app!!
The company running this app is horrible, shady, and rotten. You will get constant headaches trying to deal with the project managers. My cousin and I both wirk a project together with three other people. One of those other people threatening to kill my cousin and myself, on site during the job, very loudly, and instead of simply taking such a violent, chaotic man off of the project and replacing one person, the project manager Luis decided to let my cousin and I go and lose two people instead. They are idiotic. They don’t even answer their phones when you have any issues. If you have an issues doing a project, and you text them via in-store support, they won’t text you for hours, if at all. They work with shady companies who do underhanded work and expect us independent contractors to represent them in stores. My cousin once had to represent a company that would take store’s money for product shipment and then not send them. I’ve had to represent companies that unethically spy on competitors products in stores. Trax Merchandising, the company you’d be working with, never tells us the background of any project we need to complete. It could even be for illegal or unethical business activity and we would never be the wiser. Do. NOT. Use. This. App. Do not work with Trax Merchandising. I wish I could give it negative stars.

Dont pay properly and very bad problems with app
They will have a rate thats high so you will accept the job but after you complete the job you will be paid less not what your suppose to. The app has issues that i believe are on purpose so they do not have to pay you properly. While on a assignment it will ask question that are irrelevant to whats happening on the assignment. Questions you can not provide pictures for. But if you dont provide a picture or dont answer the irrelevant question you wont get paid. Questions will also change but will happen after you leave the store so you cant answer them. They sent me screen shots of an assignment i did with questions i never seen before that were unanswered. If a job you did isnt accepted you wont be told. So if its not accepted you wont get the money even tho they got theirs. You need to also watch the due date and times its due by. The time will say a later time after the store is closed. So youll think you still have time to complete something but cant when the store is closed. And if you accept an assignment and dont complete it your rating will go down and from then it will only show you assignments for very cheap pay that are very far away that are not worth going to.

Not worth the frustration
I’ve been a reliable “contractor” for about 9 months and have lost count of how many times I have been screwed over by the scheduling agents. They do not follow any ethical standards and don’t apologize for their atrocious business practices. They will assign a job to multiple people (unknowingly to us) and you have to hope you’re the first one to complete it because they’ll cancel the job for everyone else saying it has been completed. Even if you’ve driven hours to get there. You can be the first to request a job, accept the offer you received in the messages, then hear absolutely nothing or get assigned. That’s because they sent the offer to multiple people and assigned it to someone else. There is no courtesy and they will nickle and dime your payments. I’ve “clocked in” at a certain time and they refused to pay me starting then, only starting my time according to the time stamp on one of the photos, which was taken after setup and retrieving materials from the back room. They won’t tell you they’ve docked your pay or give you any explanation unless you catch it yourself and question it. Even then, good luck getting a response. It’s too bad since there is potential for a great app/company here. It’s not worth the increase in my blood pressure to deal with these people.

Some nice features, but payment approval is too slow.
I use Merchandiser on the side of Field Agent. In one week with Field Agent, I made enough money to fill out a W-9. With Merchandiser, doing the same kind of photo audits, it takes a week just for your results to be approved. Field Agent usually gets this done in a day, and sometimes within half an hour. As I write this review, I still don’t know if my work will be approved. They did let me know about a correction I needed to make on one of the jobs, but after that, there’s still two more days “expected” for approval. The app crashed in the very beginning, which had caused me to fail a job that I didn’t actually have. Their support corrected that issue fairly quickly. The app itself has the feature of seeing jobs on a map view with dollar amounts, and easily get directions sent to your main GPS maps, which you can’t do in Field Agent. I understand longer approval times for shift work, but doing photo audits, if Merchandiser could match the review speed of Field Agent, it would make this app amazing. Update: Rating lowered after “fees” deducted from my earnings. Merchandiser did not pay me the full amount I had earned. In contrast, Field Agent does not deduct fees from my earnings.

Legit money making app!
I did a lot of research in trying to go d a legit money making app & I was not disappointed with this one! There’s almost always something available to do within a 20-30min drive. My first week I made over $250. If you use this app like a real job, you can make a stead income or it’s good for a little extra money here and there. Some of the work is super easy and some of it is quite involved. Make sure you read through the preview BEFORE accepting a job as some of them require you to print a sell sheet or letter of authorization prior to going to the store. Also, for example some jobs that might only pay $6, if you read the preview you will see if it’s something quick and easy & with it or if it’s going to be very involved with lots of products and maybe not worth the time it will take. When you first start, it may take a little longer until you get the hang of it, then it becomes quicker and easier! I’ve had no issues getting paid for any of my work and can not recommend this app enough!!

Shipping labels
I have be requesting shipping labels since day one , and you know exactly how long that has been going on now it seems like months. Oh, iy is months! When I started the displays that were left standing were in need of some help. The product that was pulled from sales floor was thrown in a box and left abandoned. These boxes were picked through several times in hopes of filling an empty space on a display. But the display was no longer available. Waiting for product and shipping labels has been a recurring nightmare for me. With no assistance from or concern from anyone except Nelsy! A bright light in the darkness. She and Cesar are the only reason I’ve made it this long. Done everything application has requested and demanded of me now I want shipping labels to return product to client and still it sits in the back forever waiting for a return label home. Meanwhile the current displays stay helplessly empty urning to be replenished. This review is really just another plea for product and return labels. I have reported this issue through every platform and avenue I know of offhand. Review Reader you are my last hope. Thank you for your concern, sincerely LouieG13, signing off….

Sure, you can make a few $ but...
You can make some money with this app but the way this thing is run is frustrating. Lately there have been issues with this app. Went to do a quick auditing job, another popped up for same store so I took it. Job does not state that a ton of pages needed to be printed until I “started” it. Then the pages were not even there to print. When they finally fixed it l, it was too late to complete the job. I get dinged for reliability. A couple other jobs where I was supposed to get a shipment, never received supplies, get dinged for reliability. Come to find out the app had deleted all my info. I reenter all my info, and the app changed the city I live in to a city I have never lived in, had to correct again. Accepted some audit jobs a few days ago that had a deadline of August 8th. I get the package this time but they changed the deadlines without any warning to 5 and 6 days earlier! Now I have to rush out to get 6 of these jobs done, they canceled the others and blamed me for the deadline expiring. Oh, and the phone calls are ridiculous. Most come up as “scam likely” but there are days when they call constantly. You have to ask yourself “is it worth it?” I’m sure I’ll get dinged again for this review...

Not worth it
I tried this for a while, and most of the jobs just simply aren’t worth it on their own. They have you trying to sell stuff, going into the stock rooms, having conversations with managers… All for five - 10 bucks? Sometimes more… sometimes less. But after travel, gas, and time spent… you’re getting raked. Then they take a fee from your little bounty when you cash out. I recently decided to delete and leave this app after a bad experience I had with a job I had taken three different stores to place coupons. I spent about a half an hour in each store plus travel time, and bounty was $7.50 each. I had other jobs for other apps which made it worth it for the route. All three were not approved and I was given a day or so to return to each store and “fix” the (made-up) issue. The problem is, they were asking me to look for one of the listed products (out of a handful of items) that was not in the store. I couldn’t find it in the store, it was not available on the app at that store, and my final step to to ask staff who confirmed staff wasn’t there! But, for some reason I was supposed to waste my time going back to the stores to take a second look? They got their coupons placed, I got shafted. Shady bunch.

Beware. Be very very aware.
They will do everything they can to keep from paying you what they owe you. If you decide to give it a shot, screen record and screenshot literally every, single, screen, item, pay breakdown, and document. Have a law firm on call for when they decide to not pay you. Also, be prepared for a very very insidiously unintuitive app experience. Literally the app makes it extremely difficult to access any information, about the offered pay, proof of pay offered for a set position, and information about specific jobs. On top of all that, they blatantly lie about how long a job will take. 15 min job? No, you do job right and it is 72 minutes, still only get the $7 they offered, even though they lied about the time. 10 min job? No, 47 minutes. 5 minute job? 36 minutes. Seriously. On top of drive time, and MINUS promised travel expenses and reimburements. If they attempt to approve pay lower than what was offered, or not appropriate for time worked, DO NOT ACCEPT. This is a legal point of order. Once you accept the pay they offer, you are accepting it as acceptable pay. Save everything, photos, documents, screenshots, and screen recordings. A class action lawsuit is headed their way.

Awesome Opportunity
I have been doing projects as my main source of income for 2.5 months now and the amount of money I have made, typically working less than I would an 8-5, is staggering. They have thousands of companies that use them to find people to do small jobs & sometimes a full days work. Major retailers, major name brands and in all areas. If you do exactly what you’re asked, the way you are asked, on time (according to what you claim) your rating increases and you’ll get more jobs. I’ve never had a problem getting paid at all. The worst issue I’ve come across is app glitches here and there but as soon as you message with an issue they are on it. They are great with communication as well. You choose how much or how little you want to do, what days you want and as long as you finish what projects/assignments you claim/asked for by the deadline (you’re told about ahead of time) everything runs smoothly!! Highly recommend for extra cash or main income.

Blocked me off the app.....
Start off slow wasn’t getting any jobs didn’t understand how that worked outside of what the description few weeks past reached out to them to message back out on what I need. I didn’t begin receiving Jobs couple hiccups on the way but completed 18 different stores for them recently did my 19 store with the crew people in head to drive out of state because I was called the daily for asked if I would do them a favor took the opportunity and proceeded to complete the project upon arrival we were following instructions that was given to us and introduced ourselves Following the script that was in the instructions employees at the location that we’re working on the reset project did not like the fact that we were not informed on the way and procedures of their reset and the information that we had from our instructions did not match theirs in full so it was a learning experience that turned into me getting basically blocked off the app for standing up for the other representatives as well as myself for questioning payment and each time that I have asked for a reason for anything Instead of a educated answer an attitude was given instead and this time around I have now been blocked from the app with no explanation

Love how many jobs this app offers!!! But hate a few things about it as well.
I absolutely LOVEEEE how many jobs this app has to offer in my area. As well as how easy it is to get in touch with someone about a job if you have any questions or concerns or need to ask for an extension and etc. and I love many more things about this app! But what I HATE is that unless you have a rating of 2.5 stars then YOU CANNOT CLAIM JOBS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!!! Without a minimum of a 2.5 rating, you have to REQUEST jobs and then WAIT for someone to MAYBE get back to you about it and send you an offer for the job(s) that you then have only TWO HOURS from the time they RANDOMLY decide to send the offer, for you to accept it before the offer expires. I’m not going to go into more detail because then this post will be as long as Harry Potter novel lol but all in all I really do like this app! I just wish they’d change a COUPLE little things..

The only thing I would change is..
The only thing I would change is that when you claim a project after that store’s business hours, there have been many of times where it will only give me 6 or 8 hours to complete the assignment which is impossible to do as the store does not open until the following day. I still would like to be able to claim the project however so that no one else does, and then do it first thing in the morning. (I.e., I go on merchandiser at around 5:30 pm and look at projects available. I click on one that I want to claim, but the store closed at 5 pm. They open the following day at 10 am. I have plans to be in that area the following morning so go forward in claiming the project so no one else claims it. Merchandiser gives me 6 hours to complete the assignment even though it is after business hours and the store is closed. Therefore I cancel the claiming of assignment and hope it is still there for me to do the next day).

Since June 2016
I’ve worked with Merchandiser since June of 2016 & while they were more difficult (micromanaged) then I took around a year off because of it; they have gotten more proficient & professional; pay is decent (now that they’ve hired a payroll company); the assignments pay better & they seem to work with one better (not that they won’t try occasionally to short-change you still) but have gotten a LOT better. Still ample room to improve especially since gas has gotten higher & the miles you can put on your car is atrocious but they seem to be doing better in that department IF YOU ASK! Cleared around $900 for September 2021 but we shall see what October brings! The office ‘seems’ to be better staffed & therefore, more proficient. Time will tell! There is ALWAYS money to be made ESPECIALLY if people would not accept assignments RIGHT when they are offered, it can easily double if some would just WAIT 5-7 days!! & I live in the southern most end of the lower 48 within a 1/4 mile of the Rio Grand River! HOLD OFF on accepting PLEASE!! A $7 assignment can turn in to a $12+ assignment within a few days!!!

A total s- show
So I’ve worked in retail for 14 years, and merchandised for about 10 of those. When I first signed up with this service, I noted there was a little disorganization, and sometimes I would just flat out, not get paid for a task, even though it was completed but I could gripe and get the pay I was owed. I have attempted again over the last couple of months to use this service, and it has become an even more chaotic show than before. I’ve been dispatched on routes that were already completed by someone else — and thus just wasted my gas for nothing — and they have a bad habit of posting a route with one deadline, and after loading you up with the locations, bumping back the deadline to the next day, making it impossible to compete. Half the time they don’t even have touch with logistics to know whether materials have been delivered to location and are waiting or not, and there’s no way to verify with a location before driving however far to location. They promise bonuses and good pay to accept assigned routes and you can end up paying more in gas than you’ll make because the jobs don’t exist or are unable to be completed when you arrive at location.

Complete waste of time
I was referred to this app by a content creator. That should have been my first clue this was a bad idea. I thought it might be a great way to earn extra money. I should’ve known something was up when one of the representatives called me to speak with me about starting some jobs on the app after I signed up. They must be desperate, because I do a lot of other delivery services and none of them have ever called me to start working! The problem is you’re severely underpaid or not paid at all for jobs that take up to hours to do yet they claim they take 40 mins to do. All lies!! People on minimum wage make more. I did notice some of the smaller jobs offer more pay, which makes no sense considering they take less time. This is just another set up that allows for corporations to take advantage of people to do work that they don’t want to pay to have done. A lot of these jobs require you to print out materials which cost you money or have materials sent to you. I’m all about doing odd jobs, I’m just not about being taken advantage of and that’s exactly what they’re doing. I worked two hours doing one of their jobs and I’ll never be paid for my time. You’ve been warned!!

The reviewer(s) are beyond HORRIBLE. Please, whatever you do, please do not expect a response from them. They do everything in their power not to pay you. It doesn’t matter how hard you try, they want you to break every bone to capture a picture when they know it is impossible. The staff, some are nice but there are times when they don’t answer your messages, calls, text or emails. There customer service is NOT good and they pay VERY LITTLE. They wait until you get an assignment completed, and then place the job back up for someone else to get it for $5 more than what you had it for during your visit. They send you to wrong locations AFTER you have drove almost an hour to get to that particular location. They do not offer gas unless you take an 8 hour job. Even still, they give you $5 for your trip. We “know” what has looks like in this season so that is a slap in the face. They expect you to drive all over the world and pay you $5-$7.50 a visit. By the time you finish, you are only paying for your gas in your vehicle. This company would be better if they treat the workers like humans instead of slaves. Nesly and Giselle however are beautiful humans with amazing spirits.

Not bad
I work with this app currently. At times there are quick responses, while other other times I will never receive a response. I will message one person and hear back from another. They must have such a large staff, that multiple people will work with you regarding one subject and other times there are too many people, that issues fall through the cracks. I’m still waiting for a response to assignments that have not only passed but have received automatic emails reminding me they were either overdue or now no longer available. Assignments that the app assured me someone would contact me about (that’s an option I chose) and still have not heard back. I was hoping for communication before they became overdue. Their attempts are great at resolution, but too many things get lost in the mix. As for the calendar, it’s great! Shows upcoming assignments. Shows reports due. There are in between opportunities that are always available. Payments come in when they say they will come in. I almost have zero complaints, except payments are basically once a month. And communication can be difficult.

Completely agree with other statements
Jobs are thoroughly prepared and completed, never receive responses and I sent multiple messages and questions over a timely period, thus was ignored unintentionally. I just verified that I wasn’t compensated for approximately $170 in labor because of their mistakes. Laborer suffers for mistakes of App team. Up until recently, I viewed as a reliable source of side work though won’t allow my time and labor to be free, and seeing that its ongoing, it seems as though I’m being set up for failure but for moral standards, if I continue to receive treatment that demeans my profile, causes me to lose money, illegally takes money for themselves or whatever is going on, because even the printing material was opening without issue until I made a statement at which point I was incapable of viewing the material needed to print and thus they just halted me from going off earlier to complete assignments. I encourage everyone to visit the app on the webpage where you can view more information about your work and if you weren’t properly compensated and then why... completely blew my mind how I wasn’t paid for jobs I completed. Very unreliable and I think clients should be made aware of the misconduct

App isn’t horrible but also isn’t great.
The system definitely has some serious bugs that make using it frustrating and confusing, which is not what you want when doing a job. As such, be forewarned that you’ll need to budget extra time to make sure that you don’t miss anything when on assignment. It’s like whomever designed it didn’t really have to use it but only thought about the huge number of steps and amount of content that needed to be captured by the user. The support people are all polite and professional but they are always in a hurry with huge numbers of assignments to manage so don’t expect a lot of them if problems go beyond the basics. Lastly, there’s no apparent way to limit the geographical boundaries of where you want to (or actually can) work so you’ll get bombarded at times with completely unrealistic requests which becomes seriously annoying very quickly. If I have to travel a long distance to do a job, that reduces the value of the job, at which point it is not worth doing. I’ll look elsewhere for income opportunities. All of this combined makes me not want to work with this platform if not necessary, which is a shame because I otherwise enjoy the work and think that they have something good going here. But I choose to freelance to avoid hassle and this app/system is a bit of a hassle, which reduces the overall value. I hope this company addresses these issues because making it easier to use would make doing this work a joy, vs a cumbersome chore.

Nice app for extra $$$
Nice app to make extra $$$. There are various projects ranging from products audit (counting and photos) in the grocery store to demoing various products which can pay up to $80. So if you want to earn some extra dollars to pay for a nice gadget or meal this would be a perfect fit. It’s not something to use to pay your rent. They need better explanation in a FAQ for any reimbursements. They have improved this process and don’t require you to fork over hundreds of your own money anymore. If it’s a large buyout they may ask one to do it in multiple small buyouts and they will issue message that reimbursement was approved. It’s a tricky situation if you have to pay out of your own pocket for old products and then get reimbursed later. They have support online to assist with any problems and even to issue you “routes” so that you can localize the audit visits. Lastly there are usually quite a few gigs to do versus Easyshift or Gigwalk , it’s competitorsz

Support not supportive
A female from support called me st 6:40 am PT to provide me with support but instead insisted I’m lying about an attachment needed for the Kinder-Audit at Walmart store #2957 . The letter didn't show up to print until AFTER I STARTED THE ASSIGNMENT and i was at the store already. Therefore i had to leave. I called immediately and messaged the support team with no luck if resolving the problem. I needed the letter sent to me as an attachment to pribt. It wasn’t in the preview She insisred its tgere. Im not blind. I told her to look at the job under the app to see that it’s not there and she said that they cannot see the same thing that we see on our end. So then how is it that she can say that it’s there on my end and she can’t see what I can see on my end. And she’s gonna sit there and argue with me about it just send me the attachment with the letter so I can print it and get the job done that’s all I’m asking and nobody responds until at least over 24 hours later. And now she says that they don’t know if they can give me the job back. You guys need to get together this the support department because it’s not good at all not very supportive at all.

No communication
This started out as a great supplemental job, However now I find it hard to get any response from them. If they have a job for you that they need done immediately table text you several times a day. When you message them and ask them about releasing pay or getting a job moved To a different time slot they are nonresponsive. I’ve noticed that once your reputation scores are at certain point For example, quality, reliability no matter what you do you can never get it back up. In the beginning they just want you to take pictures and now the jobs are harder they want you to restock which depending on the store can take a while and communicate with management on a regular basis for 7.00 and it’s not always a quick thing. Some management is cooperative but most are not. I worked retail most of my life and I can’t imagine treating vendors the way some of these managers do. I usually do the stores I know I can get in and out of quickly. My overall complaint is that the response time when you have a question is non existent.

Hopeless
This has to be the worst app out there to work for. You agree to compensation in chat, have screenshots and they make up the most unacceptable excuses to refuse to uphold their end of the contract. I have asked to discuss my experiences on multiple occasions via phone -leaving messages and in the app in chat to no avail. You get new people each time no one addresses any of your concerns so you can feel comfortable continuing to another store so that you can finish completing the resets. I work for five other apps and have two businesses of my own and I have yet to see the level of unorganization that they have here. Where Justo finds the audacity to say I should have reached out in an in store channel during the reset when that was never stipulated in our agreement nor appropriate given the questions and concerns I had bc I was not entirely sure who could view that. I am sure Frito Lay would be thrilled to know that people are putting up displays in dollar general stores that are specifically for circle k. I’m sure dollar general would love to know what a circle k display of Frito lay is doing in their store given they aren’t even affiliated!

Fairly good!
There is both good and bad. I enjoy doing small talks like auditing and merchandising for the stores, most of them are fairly easy and pay pretty well. I’ve completed two audits that took me 20minutes and got $5 for each which is pretty good for the time and effort I spent. I’ve also done one audit task which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, personally. The audit was for Walmart or Target, you choose, and pays $25. I would say the worst part is that it asked to do merchandising for about 5end caps sections of the store which is roughly half of the actual store. It claims the time it should take is up to 90 minutes but it took me 2.5hours, due to the fact that you need to take pictures from three angles, record isle location and scan each SKU’s. Some end caps had up to 100 schillings.. It also drains your battery since you’ll be using your camera for hours. I wouldn’t recommend doing those, rather start with short low paying tasks.

On call working. Unstable
Lack of communication isn’t worth the headache. This is more like an “on call” type of opportunity. You need to have complete availability and the work is not even guaranteed. I was told there is no limit to get jobs but there is I got stopped from applying for more jobs. The work is not for sure or stable. Even to update your work takes about 10 minutes sometimes you have to do it twice. The app is so out dated by the time you apply for a job they assign you to a different one on a day you won’t know about until assigned or you go on a list and don’t get excited more than likely they decline you for it too. You might be able to make money or might not. I had a bunch of jobs assigned to me then one day I go into the app and they were gone lol smh they play around with the schedule It’s unorganized. That’s how the app and customer service really is from my perspective. From what my experience has been like I rate it one star. If you really need money get a part time job at a fast food place I think they will honestly pay you more money than merchandiser gives you the opportunity to make.

Do not fall for the hype!
I did my best on all assignments but for one read or another the only job that was approved was a $5 visit and I can’t access that because you have to leave it in there. I travel 2 towns away to go do a visit and there again a problem arises and you guessed it the project was not approved but in all cases they in fact did get requested pictures. What finally broke the camels back was they expect us to go to a fedex print shop 20 miles away to “print out” a form for a product. The job pays $11 the cost of gas these days I personally can not afford to be driving back and forth wasting time and money and not to mention his difficult it is to ask these stores to shift their staff to waste time on the merchandiser to take “pictures” of a product they have never seen or heard of, only to send in requested photos and was told it was incomplete I even called and explained the whole dilemma and of course the operators headset was not working 4 out of the 5 times they called me back. I love to try to do my best in all my jobs but apparently I am not able to do anything correct for this app.

Actual Money making app.
I have been using this app for 7 months and have made a little over $1000. You chose the jobs you work, which can be placing IRC's.(coupon) on product at stores, product audits, store resets, product demonstrations, to display setups. You can travel if you want but they do not pay for gas or hotels. You browse through the a list that f jobs or you can look on their map. If you see a job that you would like to do, then you hit he request button and wait. If you are approved for that job you go do that job with in the given time frame. If you have questions or need help they have what they call " in store help" and the usually respond with in minutes. They pay through PayPal so you will need an account. They pay on the 1st, 10th,& 20th of every month. They do not take taxes out, that is on you. I would not depend on this app to be my main source of income. It is a good way to make extra money.

Buggy app, low pay for alot of work
The app is pretty terrible - messages dont show up (just blank white space), the app consistently shows projects to claim which aren’t actually available - when you go to claim them they’ll show the error “Request Unsuccessful - the visit cap has been exceeded for this store and project” ok, I understand that, but then why does it still show up under “instantly claim and go?” So far I’ve only been able to complete a few $5-$7 projects in single stores, not really worth driving to a store just for $5. Additionally, the tasks take WAY longer to complete than what the app estimates. Maybe if i could actually string together a few projects into 1 visit it would be worth it, but so far I havent been able to (the walmart closest to me shows 8 audits available for a total of $56 ($7 each) but none are actually available for me to do). So far its been a pretty disappointing experience overall. Would not recommend unless you want to drive around to different stores hoping to make $7 in the half hour or so that it takes to actually complete

Horrible Company!!!
This horrible company drags its feet on paying you, they pester you to assign work to you, you reschedule your week based on their promises and then the work never gets assigned. And when you ask about it, you get Zero response. Then when work actually is available and gets assigned, you complete the work and they take WEEKS to pay you! Often you get placed on a wait list for work, and never hear anything more Or...they ship you stuff and state that the job should take 15-20 minutes, but after your time and travel and in-store actual project time is like 3 hours, you get paid for “1” because there’s no way to adjust the amount of time that you actually In-store worked. When you “complain” they say that you’ll get faster as you go... I worked as fast as is humanly possible several times, so unless they are hiring people taking “speed”, you are getting ripped off! Also, their communication methods are all over the boards. No one person is ever the same person that you worked with before, so communications are constantly re-telling the same things over and over and over. Stay away! Not worthwhile!

Worst company to do merchandising and survey for
The instructions that are provided in the surveys make no logical sense half the time and when you take the additional pictures that are requested for the vendor, your whole survey can be validated just for one incorrect picture or one incorrect answer. there’s no way to refute anything or to speak to you to take care of the issues that you may encounter. I did a total of 12 projects for total payout of 120 something dollars and they reduce my pay to 70 something dollars which, even after the sixth day still is not available for me to withdraw. most of the projects are miles out. other projects that are the same projects are paid differently so if you have a liquor survey that you have to do in five different towns it’s all the same survey, but in order for them to capitalize, they will make the survey worth nine dollars to you in one place $12 another and 10 another instead of making it the same price all around. no customer services provided, and all that has been told to me is that Trax merchandising is the company that runs the service

Best app I ever worked for…
I’m not sure what everyone else is talking about having bad service, people not getting back to you, not getting paid for jobs, or them not giving the right amount. I’ve been working for them for a little over three months. I have made so much money. I have a main job but this extra money helps take care of me and my children. Sometimes they do mess up our amounts. But that’s why I always take screenshots and contact them and within a day it’s fixed. I’ve never had an issue with customer service they’ve always gotten back to me within a good amount of time. I am always offered good jobs. And I have had several issues where I wasn’t able to complete jobs or I had to contact them to have them remove jobs. They still offer me good jobs. As long as you tell them what’s going on they will work with you.

It was great years ago now it’s a disaster
From last year that you have not choice but signed with open force to be paid everything went down hill, open force charge you 3.1 % to process your payment so a lot of users stoped doing jobs as this happens Survey offered to pay a bonus of 4% so it looks that instead of losing 4 % you were making 0.9% more, survey even offered a $25 bonus to signed with open force at that moment. The true it’s that all the jobs have been down in payment I guess to cover that 4% they offered and right now there it’s a new change in the agreement so you will not received the 4% bonus anymore you will still paying the 3.1% commission to get paid and also you can not neither complaint it’s in the middle of a route all your reserved jobs disappeared because the quota it’s done or they were given to another person, which could be even worst after you have made copies which they ask you to completed the job and you have to pay those from your money because the reimbursement for copies it’s history from time ago

Assignments Locations are Unrealistic
There was a time when many assignments were available. You could do these tasks around one another like planning out your day to start in one town where three tasks were available and then slowly work your way through two other towns nearby. Now it seems like all tasks are spread far and beyond. Not certain whether they do their research and understand that in a state like Hawaii we have multiple islands where assignments are available. Our towns can also be very far away although you seem tot think Kailua and Kapolei are very close together they certainly are not. It’ll take 1.5 hours minute to commute to or from these locations. Also Kahului is a completely different island! Not to mention Kailua and Kailua-Kona are also on two different islands. So please be realistic that unless you intend to provide airfare and travel accommodations you CANNOT group projects in these locations as ROUTE OFFERS. My recommendation is get a LOCAL EXPERT that can more ACCURATELY schedule these assignments.

Then and Now
I started this app in 2014 and I loved it. The projects were often and very easy to complete. The assignments were clear and concise. I don’t know if it was due to rapid expansion but I noticed that the assigners changed over and the language on the Then and now instructions was no longer clear. Suddenly you didn’t get paid as soon as before and you have to request your pay. The assignments are irregular and they don’t pay well. They tell you something will take 25 minutes to complete and it takes 2hours. Their mileage is usually wrong and they don’t pay unless it’s over 50 miles. They reserve the right to remove you from an assignment at their discretion and I’ve had an assignment removed while I was in route. Sometimes you may get projects and then it is worthwhile. Other times if you are out and about and just want to earn a few dollars then it may be worth it also. Overall I would give it 3 stars.

Legit min-wage money making company
The app can be buggy and the offers can be sparing and low paying, but if you live in the right area (east coast, New England area) and don’t need to travel much, it can be a good source of moderate extra income made during a flexible schedule (usually). I stopped using the app because the admins got worse at responding to my requests/questions. You can’t call them, so you have to rely on messages through the app, and in my experience it’s about a 30% response rate for time-sensitive questions. They also provide offers that are very low but eventually offer more money and sometimes with travel bonuses. It would save everyone’s time if they offered the highest possible payout the first-time. It would make more people accept the offers and not insult people who do have done the same job multiple times at a higher rate. Try it for a couple of months. It’s not horrible but it could definitely be better.

This app has EVERYTHING!
I'm new to "task apps" but I do have 4-5 currently on my phone and I can honestly say-Survey Merchandiser's developers are in a class all their own! Not only does it give consumers a voice.... You get paid to be heard! Feedback is a gift and this app offers several ways to provide honest/objective feedback. "Jobs" offered: Audits Mystery Shopping Merchandising Resets *Looking forward to! Product Demos *Looking forward to! Brand Ambassador *Looking forward to! Most apps I have offer these same "jobs"; however, they still pale in comparison to SM! Some of the features I enjoy and I think you will too are: * In-store support through the app 9a-9p. * Resets/Product Demos/Brand Ambassador atypical in "task apps" * Ability to join a wait list if a "job" you want has already been assigned to someone else. * Still operates in-store without using data. * Able to review your "job" before uploading for final review. * If you want to jump around while completing your "job" you can! For example, you can take some photos that will be needed and then insert them from your gallery! * Allows multiple images quickly vs opening camera each time. * My FAVORITE - A weekly agenda that syncs with your calendar! WHAT??? I'm sure I'm missing something(s) but you get the idea! WELL DONE Survey Merchandise.....WELL DONE🏆

Not worth the hassles
You can make money, sure. WHEN things line up properly, you can usually reasonably expect to be paid in a timely fashion for the work you did. Yet that only goes so far… They take FOREVER to respond, but they expect YOU to be QuickDraw McGraw when they message you even if they’re unlikely to respond right away to your answer to THEIR questions!! And they think they know more than you do about what’s happening on the actual street level at these stores. Don’t use up your gas if they’re not paying you AT LEAST the state minimum wage and mileage reimbursement (but the moment you start bringing that up, they act like YOU did THEM wrong!!) I worked for 90 days with this company, and it has left a sour taste in my mouth. Luckily, over the course of 20 years, I have built relationships with management and staff at nearly all of the same locations WAY before this company came along, so when I quit doing this for SURVEY, they’re losing an extremely valuable asset in my region. I am a veteran professional retail and wholesale merchandiser, and I have operated independently for 20+ years in this capacity. When it comes to professional handling, there is much left to be desired with this company. When things are right, it’s a great way to some extra pocket money. But don’t have real life issues and needs, because they simply aren’t as reliable as you are. It’s a 2way street…but they don’t always have their eyes on the road.

I’ve tried this app for over a YEAR
Don’t bother. There’s several other apps that are more transparent, honest, and will pay you better. Survey will offer bonuses that they then try to take back, or after you complete the project they’ll resubmit the bonus offer with details nullifying your visit. They’ll try to void your visits and payment over issues that are their own fault (they uploaded the wrong store instructions), and despite all the proof they act untouchable because of an Arbitration clause. They also actively edit the app to only show you projects they want to show you. You can go from a Gold status to getting ZERO offers because you reported a fellow contractor committing fraud. I have been physically assaulted, and police involved, TWICE during their visits and they go back and try issue statements to avoid paying me at all for even driving out. I have police reports of the assault cases. Other companies will not only pay, but show they actually care instead of just asking if you would still go back at a later date.

will send you on jobs other couldn’t complete and won’t pay you
I was sent on 3 jobs and was told by store managers I was the 3rd and 4th rep they had seen. All stores refused to let me complete the job as they had done to previous reps and asked me to leave immediately. My task was to take pictures inside the store. Merchandiser declined to pay me because I didn’t take one picture of any displays and said next time to read the directions better. One issue there, it said if I’m asked to leave, leave immediately. So I did. I also gave them some great feedback on how they can gain access to the business. But this morning these jobs are back up just as they are. No paperwork for the rep to take with them just a generic script. This company is a having us harass businesses unknowingly and not paying us. I deleted the other two jobs and I’m deleting the app. I don’t harass people and not get paid for my time and gas. This app is a waste of time and unethical in my opinion. I’ll never give my time and services to them again.
