Well designed and coherent. Glad to see it in the AppStore, makes accessing it slightly easier simply because of the fact I can get online via my phone. Great job
User friendly app, with possible unfriendly users.
Symplicity does it’s name justice, allowing for an easy to digest job market. With features for favoriting interesting jobs, the ability to upload a resume like a breeze, and a Myriad of other features that make for a very user friendly interface. After some time in the job search section, I did run into one detail missing. Stumbling across a listing for what seemed to be an “ odd job “, and being a bushy tailed student, I tapped. The job listers name was not present, instead showing “ missing “. There was also detail of the job site being at the “ missing “ persons place of residence. This post had a few red flags being thrown to say the least. Being able to either report a job listing, or to request for its description to be edited and resubmitted could be added to help combat possible faulty applications.
Can't believe you guys launched a job search app with a broken search bar. No matter what keyword(s) I use, the search results never load. It's not an internet issue — all of my other apps/web browsers function, and your app loads the "Jobs For You" section just fine (which actually looks and functions great, but I'm helping a friend look for positions outside of my field.) Also, the account info setup is terribly clunky. I thought of changing my preferences temporarily so that I could browse for my friend on the Jobs for You tab until this gets fixed, but navigating that section is ridiculous. The design is outdated, the text is jumbled... the whole thing is an eyesore.
I use Simplicity to find jobs through my university. I downloaded the app while my laptop was broken, so that I could continue looking for jobs in the meantime. I saved several jobs I was interested in applying for over the next few days. However, when I logged into Simplicity on my computer, none of the jobs I had “hearted” appeared on my laptop, despite the fact I was logged in on the same profile. When I searched up each job individually, a heart appeared on the jobs showing I had saved them. However, it didn’t put them in my liked folder. I had to go back and save a bunch of jobs again.
I am unable upload new resumes in the app. I am unable to access the resumes stored on the school’s simplicity based portal from the app. Most of the school’s career center office was unaware the app existed/didn’t know how to do basic things like apply from the app. The app is excellent for searching for jobs but I have to favorite jobs and apply on my desktop which is a hassle. It’d probably break some agreement with the school as resumes must be approved but it would be really nice to be able to add resumes from the app for my school. My school is UNCC but this problem seems like it stems from a greater problem with the app’s functionality. I can’t access or add resumes from the app.
not particularly user friendly, issues with profile
I’ve had a number of issues with this app since downloading it in hopes of finding a job through my university. I am transgender & it would only refer to me in the “welcome screen” by my birth name, in addition to listing that name on my public profile. This is not the name on my student ID & the majority of my documents, & is therefore irrelevant to display. I attempted several times to add a “preferred name” which would not save & would disappear as soon as I exited the profile settings. Overall not an app I would recommend, nor one that I will be using in the future.
My school forces us to have 2FA and every time I try to log in to the app I have to approve. The issue is to approve I have to leave the app and when I do this the app goes back to the initial log in page and forces me to go through the whole process again. I was only able to get in when I asked to approve by taking a phone call, which I do not want to do every time I want to look at jobs. I’d rather go to the website which is just as easy to use.
I’ve been having trouble logging into this app. Everytime I would login, it would get a pop up message saying “Sorry, something is wrong! Please contact Simplicity for help.” It’s been doing this for over a month. I thought it was just my phone, then I tried it on my iPad... same issue. It works just fine on web browsers. Is there a way for you guys to fix this issue or will my school have to fix it in some way for us to access it through together the app?
The app generally works fine but could use a modern update. It doesn’t fill the screen properly for an iPad - like an app that was created 10 years ago would. It’s a good enough app but could really use some modernization. Most apps fit screens properly and are compatible with new devices.
App is too buggy for me to even finish setting up my account. You’re prompted to select your career/instead ship interests but there doesn’t appear to be a “next” or “continue” button so you’re just kinda stuck on that page. Also the display on the app isn’t properly cropped for the phone screen so some of the text on the left side of the screen is cut out and is not visible. App is essentially unusable
App working great. Able to update my info. Able to view new jobs. Wish for better sorting of jobs selected to view though. Unless there is a way to sort I haven't found yet.
I like the app and its potential however, it is not fully functional. Here are the issues I have faced: - Toolbar/Search option: never works, the results never load. - Toolbar/More option: the notifications are not working, which means when you tap the notification nothing happens and if you slide it to the left you see the remove option which does not work either. - Toolbar/More section: first and last name for some reason don’t fully appear. They appear half. - Toolbar/More/Edit Profile: the page appears to be oversized for the dimensions of the phone
The “help” button under “Tools” is just a decoration. The help is never available. I got locked out of my account several times and have to reset my password every time I need to login. Job hunting is already very stressful and this app definitely made it worse. Also you have no choice but to use it cause your school had a contract with them.
I regularly use Symplicity for my Alumni career site , the application is so user friendly and easily adaptable too. I will advice all universities to roll out this process for their career site.
This is an iPhone only app, so it doesn’t look great on my iPad. It doesn’t use the full screen, which would be helpful since many parts of the app are webpage based. Other than that, it works great!
When I go to login on this app it is saying my username/password is incorrect... however, when I signed up and created my account it never asked me to make a password to begin with. How exactly am I supposed to log in if I don’t have a password when this app requires a password to log in.
After I downloaded this app and I selected my university, I can’t login since there’s no option for me to register then login to search jobs. I really wish there is a step to show everyone how to login to search jobs. Because people like me don’t know what to do you downloaded the app.
Constantly glitches out and crashes. It always says that my school uses a different version of the app (which it doesn’t) and then shuts down. 1/15 times it will say that my school uses a different version, but then will open without crashing and will actually allow me to use the app.
Nothing populates jobs. I’ve set up everything in my account and still no jobs load. I mean nothing!! I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the app, signed out, signed back in and even filled out every bit of my profile. Still won’t load any jobs.
Since day 1 this app has not worked. I have had plenty of time in between attempts but not matter what I do, even after changing passwords, it does not accept my log in. Even after confirming I am not a robot, it still does not work and asks me to reconfirm that I am not a robot. Worst job app I have encountered yet. Still the worst job app
I’m can’t seem to open any job applications and nothing is working right it gets stuck on a blank screen and does now thing and when I back out everything goes blank afterwards it’s not user friendly at all I’ve tried on WiFi and with my 4g data and still nothing.
The app’s log in kicks me out routinely. Face ID has never worked. There’s a UIUX glitch that makes it so if you press one job, it opens the one next to it. And their chat bot on their website is probably the worst I’ve ever used. There’s no other way to contact them. So, 1 star I shall hereby bless thee with.
When trying to log in to Metropolitan State University of Denver and selecting Current Students, all it does is take you to the school website with no where to enter an email or password. In its current state, the app is not usable for Metro students so just stick to searching for jobs on the website.
My simplicity was working fine until the last update. The app now has me sign in and then takes me to my class home page and will not go to the job boards at all. It was working fine until the update.
It was surely a good application until I could not find the student employment application as they directed something which made me unable to apply for jobs
It says my password is wrong and even when i do forgot password it says account not found it was working fine in old app even though with bad reviews this is having bloated 4.8 rating all reviews i see say same
I am a student at UT Austin. My device is iPhone XS Max. Every time I open the app and tap the option with my school name, the app will crush immediately and close itself. What happen??!!!! It’s been more than 6 months. No developer from your company can fix it??
The app was working for about a day but now won’t load anything when I open it. I even tried deleting and re downloading it. Just a blank screen with the menu bar at the bottom.
I redownloaded, refreshed the app, etc and it wouldn’t let me pick my school even though it had it RIGHT there on the app. It let me pick every other school to sign up with. Worthless to even download.
Everytime I open and go to my school page, it opens like a browser and constantly asks me to get the app. It’s like opening a link on tiktok. Why is it like this?
