Been waiting for this for years! Setup was easy and intuitive. Had my Drivers License and all four family vehicles linked to my account in less than 10 minutes. iPhone camera did a great job of scanning barcodes on DL and Registration Stickers which made adding them to my account very easy. Got a notification right away that two of the vehicles were within 90 days of their renewal deadlines and I was able to start the process right away, from my phone. Can’t wait for more services to be added… talking to you Texas Parks & Wildlife 😉

Very immature app. Scanning existing registration doesn’t work even though that functionality is in the app - manual entry does work. No option to specify credit card has same addr as the mailing addr I entered for the registration, so had to enter that twice. I clicked to start renewal on one vehicle but cancelled prior to complete - now the all says I can’t renew that vehicle because the record is locked, so recommends I login again in 24 hours when it has become unlocked. I wanted to renew multiple vehicles in one sitting but it made me choose between entering CC info for each renewal or saving my CC info on the govt site. I’d prefer not to save the CC info but that choice was a pain. It made me choose between mail or email notification of upcoming renewal - this is minor but why not allow both. Overall lots of data entry required to set up TxT, way more than renewing with TxDmv - I don’t understand why the TxDmv info couldn’t have been transferred automatically. Hopefully this is all one time initial use overhead and next year the process will be easier than TxDmv was… To the developers - I understand v1.0 is usually missing functionality and ease of use. Please keep at it and improve it with time. Lots of potential here to simplify lives. Thx

I don’t want to rate it low because this might simply be a bug. I recently downloaded the app to renew my vehicle registration. Once I created my account and logged in, I realized that I couldn’t do anything. Every time I selected any option on the homepage it just flashed and nothing happened. It also shows a message on the bottom saying, “Unable to load your to-do list. Please try again later.” I thought maybe it was a bug so I decided to re-install the app but it’s the same issue. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max so I don’t know if it’s not compatible with my phone or if it’s something to do with the actual app. Hopefully this can be fixed quickly, thanks!

This is one of the best apps I’ve ever gotten on and got my registration taken care of without any problems and it also protect your account so no one else can access to your information. It takes two weeks for you to receive your registration, but most of the time it comes before that I recommend you to download this app, you won’t regret it you won’t have to worry about going anywhere because you got it right in front of you don’t wait download I guarantee you you won’t be disappointed

Was looking to do my cars registration renewal and where to go. Dreading the long wait in line in person. I discovered you could do renewals on line as long as you had your inspection. It literally took less than 5 minutes to complete. Everything is right there for you to fill in, however most information is already there just need to confirm. What a time saver and the system is easy to use. Fast, convenient and efficient. Thank you for having this in place.

I can’t see more than 3 cars. I have a 4th car linked but it won’t show. When I go to link it, it says it’s already linked. If you start a vehicle registration renewal, do not skip it half way. If you do, the txdmv website and this app won’t let you come back to it for 24 hours. Why is this restriction? Maybe I got to do something and so I decided to put it aside today. I should be able to pick it up right away. Also making me add my address for every car and every renewal, payment etc. can you please show a checkbox that says use previously given address?

The team responsible for this service should be really proud, it’s a long overdue update to our state’s digital services. It’s just a fantastic experience all around, thanks for all the hard work. It shows. We’re one step away from digital drivers licenses!!! Really hoping we get on board with that program, would be super cool to not need to carry an ID anymore. 😄

I was excited to download this app; but, after my experience this week I feel this app is a waste of time and space on my phone. I tried renewing my vehicle registration and after completing the steps no one knows if the app submitted my registration. I have no email confirmation of activity and when I called the DMV I was told “the app is buggy and it looks like to to submit the request but we need to wait a week to know for sure - but the website would have submitted the registration request”. Which tells me the app is no worth the space on my phone and I recommend if the app is buggy and not working then remove it from the App Store until it actually works.

So far everything is mostly working but y'all need to pay a bit more attention to your work. In order to sign up one HAS to verify their TX state ID/driver's license. As this MUST be verified to setup the app, why isn't it automatically linked when you get into the app? Having to do it again is just dumb y'all. Aside from that and that the app wouldn't scan my registration barcode everything seems to be good so far. Looking forward to be able to manage CCW and hopefully setup mobile ID in the future.

Can’t pick back up where I left off on an application which wouldn’t really be a problem except that it Says I have to wait 24 hours since an APp was already started. Should be able to either start over without waiting or be able to pick up where I left off. Also gives a date for my next renewal as the previous renewal date of 2022 which is not correct for the new renewal date. When I try to go back to verify I hadn’t clicked something incorrectly it now says I have to wait 24 hours due to an app already being in process. If I can’t edit or proceed an existing app, how is that helpful?

Have used this in the past and loved it, however tried to use it for registration renewal yesterday and glitches, kept me from completing the process as it said to wait 24 hours. Went thru again today and I like to add $ donations and no options. It was fast once I had all info prefilled. Frustrating also because I had to jump hoops to get to the usual online site but only to find out that I couldn’t use that either because I had started the process through the broken app - please fix- it has great potential! Thank you! *oh and my info didn’t save from yesterday

Signed up recently because of how cool it was to just renew my license straight from the app, midway through the process for about 3x now, after logging in my primary and secondary contacts; the app sends an error and I have to submit the entire form all over again beginning with having to type my 20 digit DD. The browser website also does the same on my Mac…like it can’t continue after the first few steps. I might as well sit at the DMV if I have to deal with this many flukes and takes this long.

I’ve tried TxT web page, renewed my vehicle registration, linked my drivers license, and everything looks neat and perfect. Then I discovered they have an app version so download it. However, the app can’t load any my information after login, hopefully this minor issue will be fixed soon, otherwise I have no complaints to this app. Btw, can’t wait to add my drivers license in my Apple Wallet! Go Texas!

I was able to change my address in my driving license and also renew my car’s registration through the app. It was easy and time saving. To renew your car’s registration you need to first take your car for the inspection and when you pass it then you can do the rest on the app. You don’t have to go to your county’s tax office.

I work during the same hours the office is open and when I have a day off, guess what, the office is closed. So I went online and to my surprise, it was super easy and quicker than going to sit and wait in the office. Thank you so much for a website that actually works & easy to navigate.

It’s a great app. As some have mentioned, it’s redundant to have to give the driver’s license twice. But the set-up is so easy and only takes a few seconds that it doesn’t feel like a waste of time. I would like an option to add my driver’s license to my Apple Wallet. Some states already offer the option, Texas should offer this option as well.

The process was very straight forward and easy to utilize (user friendly). Personally, I would say it is very hard to create errors on a normal renewal process unless you have entered information incorrectly or have circumstances that require extra attention in which I personally have yet to encounter.

I had a pretty great experience renewing my vehicle registration right until the end when I attempted to pay the fees. During the renewal process I was prompted to add my first payment method (selected credit card), completed the form, hit Submit, then the screen flashed multiple popups in rapid succession, and finally I was taken to a busted landing page saying I’d completed the transaction but no reference ID was shown. It doesn’t show up in my transaction history either. I have to assume it didn’t go through and try again 24 hours later. This was a real shame. The app worked wonderfully until this point. Very easy to use right before its abrupt end. I’ll have to try again tomorrow now. The 24 hour wait is ridiculous, especially when the app screwed this up.

Ok. Some good things. Linked my vehicles and drivers license in the app. Was able to renew my vehicle registration using the app. Or I thought so. I did not receive an email or text to confirm. Will give it a few days and check again. Next tried to renew my drivers license after linking it in the app. Renewal is not an option and there is no explanation as to how to proceed with renewal. App is really lacking in feedback to user. Needs a lot of work.

Overall this was a very easy way to renew my vehicle registration. On the links to donate to different causes- the keyboard covers up the donation amount so you can’t see while you are typing. I figured out how to still leave a donation but many people will get frustrated and not leave a donation to these worthy causes. Please fix that. Otherwise great app.

What an amazing and forward-thinking way to do business with the state - putting multiple different government “to-do’s” in ONE place. Way to go Texas! The app is so user-friendly and looks better than any state government site built to-date. This is major progress for Texas and what a great way to help Texans. Thank you!

2 bugs) 1. The length of First Name field needs to be longer. My name is Stephanie, which is 9 letters. The app only allows 8 letters for a first name. 2) In the app a splash screen pops up and I can not scroll down or shrink it to click “Continue”. This means that I have to use the website to renew/change my address on my driver license. I am using an iPhone X in Chrome.

Licenses STILL take 2-3 weeks to be mailed! No ID printing at the facility! Texas not only doesn’t have digital licenses on a mobile device but getting a license or renewing a license at the DMV is hilariously inefficient and time consuming. You have to get an appointment, some times 180 days in advance, and walk-ins aren’t allowed. Who has time for this ridiculousness? Texas needs to get with the times. It’s 2024, c’mon now… it’s getting embarrassing at this point. Also, Texas has closed the smaller Drivers License and ID only locations that were extremely convenient and speedy!

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I was able to download the app, create my account on it, and renew my car registration in less than five minutes. The UI is simple and easy to use, and I love that I didn’t have to type my vehicles’ VIN numbers in!

I have an issued DL FROM 2017 and according to DPS website, have a REAL ID DL. When I go to my DL in the app and select ‘update emergency contacts’ it takes me to an info page of REAL ID. I can’t move forward. I cannot access the part to update my emergency contacts. I get bugs are bugs but it would be nice if this app flowed smoother and to the capabilities it purports to be able to do. Did anyone walk through this app as a ‘customer’ before going live? Nice idea, but it seems to still be in the ‘idea’ stage.

Had a lot of trouble with the payment information. It kept giving me an error of something went wrong. I figured it out that it was the auto complete when filling out the billing and personal information. It adds an extra blank space for each word that auto complete fills in. You have to back space and remove it.

I tried to renew my registration online and couldn’t bc it kept saying i already tried to and that i had to wait 24 hours before trying again (i never made it past the initial “accept terms” page). I renewed at the tax assessors office, now i want to renew my drivers license but it still says i need to renew my registration so it won’t let me. “get technical support” link doesn’t work in app, and on desktop takes me to the FAQ page. Old website was ugly but at least it worked

This app is easy to use, and offers options to renew driver licenses and vehicle registration. (Among other renewals like Massage Therapy License) Quick, easy, no hassles. Thank you for providing this option, I prefer this online transaction as opposed to going to a local vendor to handle this.

Sooooo many verification codes. I created a good password in my password app and this app would not let me paste it into the two fields asking for my new pw. I am using an iPad and this app only supports a phone. The camera capture of barcodes did not work at all. Many prompts for mailing address did not have metadata to support auto fill. Keep working on it, there is a long way to go. Sorry. I like the idea though.

As a new resident of Texas, I am very grateful for this app which made renewing my vehicle registration easy and seamless. It’s nice to have my car and license linked to my account for reminders. I’m excited to continue to use this app and have more agencies join in the future. Thanks Texas 🙌

I believe the purpose of the application is to keep your documents up to date, be visible, and remind you when you need a renewal. Unfortunately, every time I select “documents” the application force-closes which prevents me from seeing my documents, if any. Not too sure since I cannot gain access to it. Please fix this bug, otherwise the application is useless for me, and I’m sure for others. I’ve deleted and redownloaded several times, still the same malfunction.

The app states you can renew your registration but when calling the headquarters customer support they say it’s not supported on iPhone and must be completed online. When attempting to do it on the app it doesn’t process and then it marks it as an incomplete application and you have to wait another 24 hours before you can try again on the online website.

What’s that all about? No reason given. I went to get some information and when I came back I had to wait 24 hours! No reason given? Took me several days to get back to it because I was traveling.

The app can remind you if you need a renewal on your Texas IDs and car registration. That’s about it. Would be nice if I could use it to display my ID and act as a replacement to holding it in person. Don’t know about the Texas law on it though but I’ve seen other state apps have this feature. Otherwise a good app for basic information.

This is really good self explanatory app really easy to use saves you the trouble off going to a physical location and waiting in line to get your sticker all I have to do is sit back and relax while the sticker arrives to my home.

It works seamlessly as you have all your records and vehicles already on file. Vehicle registration renewal for me was a breeze as no other documents were needed so it was very convenient and could have been done on the go.

The app operates smoothly. However there are continuous issues with service. Can’t use any services like for your vehicle or driver license because everything has ‘an error’ at the moment— it’s been like that for about a week across all platforms. This app is now limited to listing addresses and phone numbers to places you need to go to get done what the app advertises it would have helped you do online. smh

I set up the account and linked my license and registration. Neither the website nor the app will allow me the option to change my address. According to the eligibility list I am eligible to do so, but the only option it gives is for me to update emergency contacts. This app seems pretty worthless when it cannot even do the simplest of tasks. I guess I have to go in to the office just like always. What a waste of time all around.

Very good application, very to use and submit your application, it should be away update information as far as phone number changes, other than that this a good app to avoid the lines.

During renewal process new address is checked and it cannot be unchecked. I have lived at same address for over 25 years. I entered my current address even though not new and completed the process but it was confusing.

I tried to renew vehicle registration and it gave me the same date as my expiration date for the new registration so, I backed out. When I tried to resubmit it, I’m told I have to wait 24 hours now. I tried to submit the old online way and I’m told I have to contact local tax office because the renewal is in process. If you are going to implement a system to make it easier for government to do their jobs, it should be easy for the citizens using it as well.

A feature i would add is a link or links to a scheduler website for dmv’s and similar places instead of going to a website directly for searching for it. I think this would help a lot of people. Otherwise it’s a decent app.

I really appreciate Texas being very forward thinking in making an app. Very easy to use and great features. So much quicker than the past. Hopefully we’ll have AppleWallet/Digital drivers licenses soon!

I tried AmEx and the site refused this form of payment. I then tried Citi Bank Visa without success. I couldn’t delete the Visa card in the system that I no longer have. Finally my bank debit card was accepted. I just now saw 5 pending charges on my Citi Bank Visa card from each of the attempts I made to pay with this card. I hope they don’t go through.

Secure account setup takes some time but overall interface, payment and flow is an improvement. And makes it easier the next time you use it.

This site made it very easy to renew my drivers license. I recently used this site to renew my registration and again, very easy. Thank you Texas for making my government actions easy and accessible.

I'm never surprised when Texas' websites, etc. are a bit low-tech and feel like the 2000s. But considering I have to ID myself and verify my email address and phone number via transmitted codes, it seems obvious that THAT part of the process should work correctly. Alas, no. After the first email never arrived, I asked for a second and it came quickly. After successfully logging in, I attempted to add my phone number. I have received three text messages with three different codes and the app will not accept them. It seems relatively on-brand for the State's online presence, but if they want us to use the app, maybe it should work. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This App is a complete joke. It flat out doesn’t work. Put in all the information, link the proper licenses, and it doesn’t allow you to actually do anything. I guess this app was made by the same worthless people that run the DPS offices. Complete waste of time.

This is my second year using this service app to renew my registration for my vehicle and it’s super easy, fast and reliable. Definitely recommend!
