Learning Curve Takes Time

It’s only been a week but it’s nice to keep an eye on remote property when your away. So far I’ve just bought 3 G of data for 30 days. Occasionally the reflections off my window will activate the camera. I’ve had several of this events the past few sunny days. The software has not been sending me notifications when it records activity. Not sure how it all works I’m guessing if you spend more money to reload your account with cloud storage and more 4G LTE the better the service notifications will be. I would really appreciate hearing back from the developers of this software. The videos are very good even with the SD setting. The SIM card came with the EOIT Club data plans. For my needs it’s a nice way to have the data on a plan that’s affordable and when you need it. The ability to rotate your camera is a nice feature of the app. The ability to see how much charge your camera battery has is good also. Spend the time to go through all the menu settings the more you know the happier you will be.

Confessions of a Former Ringer User: Superb Camera & Viewing Options

Okay so real talk; this camera, app and viewing options are super legit! Crystal clear viewing down to the license plate numbers and way more functionality in the app than Ring cameras or app… these cameras and app are what Ring strives to be.. but sadly isn’t. I had to buy twice as many Ring cameras to cover the same areas of three Sehmua pan tilt solar powered security cameras and the free Ubox app for a 2500 square foot home outdoors. Set up was almost instantaneous- amazing! If you have 5G network you will have to split your WiFi to install the cameras - super easy with Xfinity; literally one button click. The UBOX app allows you to tilt camera viewing angles up, down and sideways 355 degrees and offers two-way talking. It’s amazing! HD or regular viewing options and CLEAR details of all surroundings. So happy to have found these cameras and the UBOX app! RUN don’t walk to get these cameras and the UBox App! You will NOT regret it!

Great little camera

We had a stranger in our fenced in yard (very late at night) twice in a month. We were alerted by our dogs both times and the person jumped the fence and ran into the wooded area behind the house when we turned on the deck light. We got this little Camera, so that we could capture a picture and possibly identify the person if it happened again. It’s been about two months and the intruder has not returned. It is such a piece of mind that, if the dogs start barking, I can just go to the app and look and see what’s going on in the backyard. The camera can be moved all around and can be zoomed in and out. It has a light that can be turned on at night. I’ve Found that I can see better looking through the camera at night than I can looking out the window. It Seems to have “night vision“. It doesn’t move around so well in the freezing temperatures but you can still see through the lens just fine.

Love it but wish it would stay active all the time.

My first security camera so take this review with a grain of salt. Had some trouble in the beginning but the camera folks at Sehmua had me reset it and then all worked fine. I wish the app stayed connected as daily I have to sign in at least once per day. I have lots of apps that don’t require the resign in, most sometimes ask for a new sign in but this UBox app requires it daily. Maybe I am missing something but I have not seen the option to stay signed in. Otherwise this little tool makes crystal clear video even in the std mode, the HD mode is amazing in definition and clarity. I am going to purchase more of these cams for other areas of my property.

Trail / security camera

Update: I thought it was a learning curve but turns out it’s just really poorly done. The interface is challenging to use and poorly written. The colors are pastels and hard to read. Instructions are vague. There are many examples to site, but one incident I had was when I tried to delete a video it completely disconnected and deleted the camera from the app. I had to drive another hour back to the location and physically push the reset button on the camera to get it reconnected. another example is the 4G connectivity and cloud storage. Says it gives you 30 days of 4G and cloud storage but it’s really more like 10 minutes worth. After one night I’m setting up the camera. I had to buy more 4G and cloud storage just for the camera to work and send me notifications . Prior review that it asks you for directly after installation: It seems to work pretty good so far. I just installed it and connected my camera. It could use some more descriptors on the app such as what volume are you adjusting when adjust volume in various screens. Is is the phone volume from the camera or the speaker volume on the camera?

I'd give this 5* if playback wasn't so difficult

I have this app to operate my Trailcam. I've been using Reolink SIM security cameras for the past 2 years, which are not very weather worthy and don't have very good resolution, in my opinion. So when one of my Reolinks bit the dust, I replaced it with the Ebit Trailcam and WOW! What great picture and remote control response! I rate the picture quality 3x the quality of my Reolink cameras and the camera is fast at responding to controls. The only thing I find is that it is very hard to get this app to simply let me choose and repeat play when there's been something recorded. I have to exit the camera window and go back and forth between the live camera window and recordings window everytime I want to replay the recording. Also annoying is that if I want to freeze the recorded video at any important point and capture that image as a still photo, there is no still-photo capture at all on this app! To me that's a major necessity for wildlife images, face identity, license plates, etc. The only solution that I have found is to perform a screen grab and save it on my phone as a photo. If it were not for the arcaich experience running playbacks and no photo-freeze feature, I'd give this camera and app a 5 star.

My piece of mind

I got the security camera because there were things happening around here. I couldn’t explain. Once I put them up, everything is able to be explained, and I was able to retrieve some of my items back. Majority of the time my cameras catch my cats or my dogs and I love being able to watch in on them from time to time and see how their day is well I’m away .I am very pleased with the camera the quality of the picture the app that runs it. I have not had any issues so far and it’s been almost a year. Absolutely love, and I always recommend because I now have peace of mind knowing my place has an extra eye watching it all the time

Overall works well, could use some refinement

Once you learn how to get around, it works well to view cameras and saved videos. There are some things to figure out where to go for different things like the settings gear on the camera list screen vs the settings gear on each camera's page, but after exploring it's not bad. One improvement I request is to make the text boxes on the customer service chat support modern text input features, like auto capitalization, spell check, etc. All app dev frameworks have this but it's disabled or something. Sounds silly, but it makes communicating with customer service way more difficult.

Best security camera system I’ve had

This is the best security camera system of a ad for a couple of years now. This system is so easy to use, and it always comes through from Sharp images to notifications and being powered by solar panels, never runs out of power even during the snow season. The fact that this system does not require you to have a subscription in order to view your securityaround your home is a plus. All in all this is an easy to apply and easy to use security system. I have two cameras running on the system. I just love it gives me great peace of mind.

Good and reliable

Does its job. The only thing I would change is the length of the video clips when it detects motion. I recently had someone try to walk into my house when I answered the door. I put missing between him and my kids and forced him back out. When I tried to retrieve the video clip, it was only a couple seconds long and had stopped recording before he reached to push the door open. I adjusted settings after that so the clip length was longer. But now the only options are 10 and 20 seconds again. That wouldn’t help authorities find and prosecute someone had they succeeded to C get into my house where me and my children live alone.

Awesome!

This thing rocks! It’s lasting through wide open down pours, snow, ice , hard frosts, and roasting on a telephone pole. It’s 75 yards from the wi-fi router. So great range! I use it to detect when anything comes up my driveway. It detects every time, even with a frost covered lense. I have to keep on high sensitivity to detect. It doesn’t hurt the battery at all. It stays charged even with numerous cloudy days. It gets triggered at least seven times a day. The app works well, takes about 30 seconds to pull up clip and watch. The camera rotates well with medium quality zoom capabilities.

Easy but missing

I got two WiFi cameras that require this app. I have 3’other cameras that use a different app and 3 other cameras that use a different app. So this app does not allow me to select the video and delete it unless I buy there subscription or I have to reformat the sd card. My other two apps do allow it without a subscription. This app won’t let me open in quad mode to see both cameras live without having to open each one independently. My other two apps allow it. My other two apps allows control of sensitivity from 1-10 so it’s much more precise. I want to love this app but there are limitations.

UBox app - so far so good

Every once in a while it takes a while to connect, but it’s probably the network that the SIM card is on. But otherwise the app itself serves my purposes just fine. I can remote into my camera on my boat from another state and just check on it and the surrounding area. At one point the solar must have not been exposed to the sun and I saw my battery very low and eventually the camera went down. But then a few days later it came back up and was up and running again. So far it’s been almost a year and has worked satisfactorily👍

Very good!

I read other comments about people complaining about things that don’t work. Those are people who didn’t follow instructions properly and people who didn’t read everything before they bought the products. I’ve owned mine for 2 weeks already and everything work 100% and no issues to report. My camera is still running on its 12th day and it is currently on 73% which mean that it can run for 24 days and still run without having to recharge it.

app needs work

i have reset my camera multiple times, charged the battery, uninstalled and reinstalled the app..the camera pairs to wifi, pairs to the app, but i still get no picture, HOWEVER i still get notifications and see the preview of the motion that was detected, IN OTHER WORDS the camera picture is FINE the camera itself, IS FINE, but then i got to view it in the app and all i get is a reload symbol, not even the spinning reload just two white reload arrows on a black screen...i have reached out multiple times and NOBODY responds at first i got an automated message saying they would reply within 24 hrs..but no they never did..so i have this amazing camera that i love SOOOO much but cannot use it because the app SUUUUUCKS now for some reason smh 🤦🏻‍♀️

Way too many false alarms with the camera

First let me say the app itself works great. The issues I am having is the camera itself. There are motion alarm notifications every minute. This is with the setting set to the lowest setting on sensitivity. I can’t utilize the motion notification because of it. Kind of defeating the purpose for the camera. Also the preview window on iPhone that is supposed to show you the image in the notification window is always all white. So apperantly the image is not able to process quick enough before the notification is sent. Hope that all makes sense.

Good product

Always been very accurate and clear vision and the motion detection works great even when it’s set on it’s medium level. Love to be able to turn the camera and zoom in and out to get better views and footage. At first when I purchased it took me a little time to get used to it but other than that it works great for my everyday extra set of eyes and the solar panel model is fantastic! Mine never runs low, and it’s not even in the direct sunlight throughout the day.

Camera

I love this camera because I get everything from it when anyone or anything comes close to it. I’ve caught a guy trying to steal gas out of my car before. I was asleep inside my house and my camera alerted me that something was happening. So I looked at my phone and I saw then went outside and I shot in the ground to scare him. He started running and my husband tackled him to the ground and he was arrested by the police for attempting to steal.

Did it’s job in the first 2 days of use

Shortly after the simplest installation, our XEGA captured a shooting across the street where luckily no one was killed, but the cloud service did produce high quality video evidence that we shared with the police department for their investigation. The two shooters used assault rifles and I happened to be outside when it occurred too, which we hope will help them to quickly solve this horrific crime. Great Job Developers! Grateful Owner!

Excellent!

We placed two of these on our entrances for church security. Very easy to set up and operate. The quality is great and you get a lot for your money. We have no complaints whatsoever. If you need cameras for security it’s hard to imagine finding one that is anywhere near this price range was so many features. The camera features two way communication audibly. A high definition and standard definition View. The ability to tilt up and down, or pan left and right as well as the ability to zoom in or out. The software is simple and it works flawlessly. Our experience has been nothing short of awesome. I wouldn’t recommend many things, but this one I do based on our experience we don’t think it can be beaten.

Pictures are delayed due to camera rotation even though internet is excellent

…………..،،،، This program needs urgent improvements in performance and development, and this is what I noticed when using the camera while searching and rotating right and left, we are surprised that the camera moves, but the image remains fixed in the program and is delayed very significantly until I delete the program several times from the phone and reinstall it until the image movement with the camera returns at the same moment, why does this happen to me? Is this a problem from you for a reason or how?

Really Recommend

I have had many different security cameras and I can already tell this is one of my favorites! Speaker works with great volume and having to tap the speaker on and off is so much easier then other cameras that you have to hold the speaker button down while you talk! Midnight black in camera color choice is great for hidden nanny camera choice too!

Great product for the price

I love the fact that I can use this camera remotely from my phone and do not have to do any wiring to make it work. I also move it around on my property so I can observe different things like my greenhouse or I can move it over to my barn and watch what’s going on there. I’ve had it for a year and a half and it’s going through four seasons and doing great.

Very good price for the money. They work really fine

I really was impressed by the cameras, the quality is super good, the connection that was my most concern, I can say works really good. I only have one camera that sometimes lag a little bit with the connection, but then it connects. Overall I can say they work super good, something that I’m siding and will be on all my job sites.

Feature request - Tap/drag to pan

Thank you for recently adding pinch to zoom. All that it missing now is tap/drag to pan. Should be able to intuitively drag across the screen and the camera moves or tap at a location and the camera centers to that point. Please take full advantage of the touch interface. Arrows for controls are outdated.

Remarkable

For what this camera costs (too little in my opinion) I was pleasantly surprised by how well the camera and App work together. It is truly one of the nicest experiences I’ve had with a camera. I have been bouncing around between apps and cameras replacing the ones I’ve been disappointed in. This is not one, I won’t be getting a replacement anytime soon.

Easy to install and just as easy to set up. Only been recording 5 min tho. Only thing is I hope there is a camera view option so I can turn the view right side up. The place I mounted it has the picture upside down. Other than that picture is very clear and look forward to catching a snoop!

Keep tabs remotely

This app lets me see what is going on remotely when I am away. Wish the solar charging wire was tougher. I have it in a tree and squirrels or birds keep cutting it. I have run the wire in conduit. I am very pleased with the app and would buy another camera if I could use the same cell account. But each camera has to have its own account.

Works great in all conditions

I have been using this camera for about a year and have been very impressed. The solar battery stays charged even in cloudy weather. Night time camera is bright. The app has had some glitches but the support team has been responsive and very helpful. Overall very happy.

Works well but

What I like about this camera is that it works well. Sometimes when it gets below 32° and things are freezing. It tends to not pan as well. One thing I suggest is make sure you don’t leave it in the rain because when the water gets on the lens, you cannot see well. The thing that bothers me the most is it costs about $220 a year for the airtime. Overall I’m pleased.

I love it

I love it so far, the clarity and the movement speeds and zoom in and zoom out features are amazing and fast speed. I am definitely buying more no doubt about it. It was easy to set up also and would definitely recommend to family and friends and anyone looking for a great security camera.

Way better than expected

Decent user interface and honestly better than blink or ring in my opinion because you have to pay a huge premium in order to live view record for those 2 other companies and to save clips to the cloud. UBox is great and very affordable

Camera Performance

The Cameras I have are great in general ! The versatility of function is very good and the clarity is superior. The battery life retention is ok being fair to good although when the sun doesn't shine it becomes problematic and will not function. Overall i am more than satisfied - just wish the battery life would extend through the non sunlight days Thanks everyone for a great product 👍

App upgrade deactivated my cameras

I opened the app after an alert and it prompted me to update the app immediately. I did. Now both cameras show a black screen. The support option tells me to see what the led color on the camera is and what it is doing. I have had the cameras for a while and they are installed on the second floor walls! I cannot tell what the led is doing!!! I have no idea how to fix this as support is non existent. I might have to pay the people that helped me install these to fix them and all because of an incompetent application upgrade.

Faster Connection and Easier to Use

We have several cameras from several brands. This camera, though the furthest from our WiFi, connects the fastest. The app is easy to use — much less complicated than the others, yet has everything we need in a security camera app.

Works Good!

This camera works good. It has a good picture and alerts you right away when it observes something. You might want to lower the sensitivity on it as it will send you a whole bunch of notifications which is good but can be a little on the annoying side. But the camera works.

“Hats Off” had a issue with paring device to my apple phone. Technician responded via messaging with a step by step fix and following his instructions problem was resolved. All of this happened in a total of 10 minutes. Thanks support team

Peace of mind

I love this app. The device itself is cost efficient and the support and app are wonderful. This device has given me a sense of security while I am away from home and is always precise. I love how affordable overall the app and security features are. If I ever am in need of another camera UBox will be my go-to!

Very clear cool camera!

I like this! You can speak to people in your yard if you want to, there’s a night/day camera, very clear. Option to save or delete the videos taken. I don’t have to get up for every sales man that rings my doorbell now. I can choose to ignore- or check out why the dog is barking.

Great night vision, a pain to connect

So far so good. Took a while to connect though, but now that it’s connected, seems to be fine. I am setting it up now. As long as I can adjust the frame to cut the blowing leaves from my garden out of the alert zone, we should be alright. I’ll up it to 5 stars as long as the Albert phone app I had for free wasn’t better.

Recommend the app

App works great, it’s easy to use and separates by date. Would be nice to have multiple devices receive alerts from the same account. Currently only 1 device can be logged in at a time, and the last one logged in is what gets the alerts.

Very nice camera, very clear videos, able to scan a huge area with this one camera. Night vision is very good. Alerts any time someone is near my gate. Very good surveillance unit. I will be investing in another one soon. I added the cloud service and it is well worth it. I can see all videos for up to 30 days. 👍👍👍

Love my camera!

This is the best camera for what we needed. We don’t have electricity at our ranch and I needed to keep tabs on mama cows. I love that we can move the camera around to see what is going on as well as turn the light on if it’s too dark to see something. I’m so glad I came across this camera!

Exceeds expectations

Excellent image quality and controllability. Sound quality is even good. One improvement I would like it faster response to motion detection. By the time it starts recording, the object that triggered it is often already gone or nearly gone. I definitely recommend this product.

Value

For the price we paid, I didn’t expect such great quality. We have it mounted in a not so sunny area and the battery seems always to be at 100%. The picture is great, the remote controls are easy and work well. Would definitely recommend.

Works Perfectly…Almost.

This camera has worked perfectly for the last 6 months. The solar panels and batteries keep it going all day and night. The cell connection works great and I can access the camera any time I like. One tiny criticism would be that I’d like to set up a zone for the motion detection rather than the full camera view.

Remote cel cam viewer

Easy to use and gets the job done. Could use a detection masking feature to block out unwanted motion such as a tree swing that constantly moves. Also look into fixed waypoints, of course this would require absolute position feedback which my be beyond the cameras capability. Thanks!

Dependable-Reliable- Affordable

Security camera is used in a remote coastal location w/frequent storms, freezing weather etc… with very weak cell service ( 1Bar) if conditions are perfect. Camera retrieves and stores data at a fast pace and provides 24/7 surveillance. Long storage life with Solar set up…can hold a charge w/o daily sun.

Great value

Great price, very good quality and customer service is excellent. If they don’t answer they call you right back. Only down side is you can’t view any random time frame. Only what gets ‘recorded’ bc the object set off he camera. I have the cameras at a new construction site w no wifi there. The cellular data on the sim card works great!
