So delighted with Vacasa. It is a home away from home in the way they treat you. I always find this place very clean, million dollar view that is under advertised by the pictures, and once all the windows and doors are open it is my favorite place to be in the world. I love the furnishings, care in detail, and the affordability so we can be able to stay there without breaking the budget on Maui. We love that it’s halfway between Kapalua and Lahaina town where we can walk front street and enjoy a variety of different things from shopping, food, music, and the marina there. But, equally we go north to Kapalua and have drinks at the Analoa lounge at the Ritz Carlton, listening to live music by Hawaiians as we sip our drinks and enjoy fresh made sushi. (It’s to die for). We can’t forget Kaanapali where we love the Monkey Pod restaurant, walking from the beach onto a catamaran for sunset and dinner cruises, top rate shopping and the true Maui vibe with the best beaches in the world! Our favorite breakfast is Slappy Cakes, locally owned, and five star service, food and adult beverages! We are regulars to Maui about four times a year.
I was told cleaning rate would go up a little. Cleaning fee went from 50 to 185. Lie I was told by onboarding person ( Carrie) that I could keep my 150 good reviews from air bnb Not True. Lied to again. I was told I could be onboard in less than two weeks. It was 5 weeks. Lied to again. I was not informed about initial onboarding cleaning fee. Originally 475. I’m still waiting for the 250 refund to my account on that outrageous fee. House was pretty clean just before housekeeping. It was a two hour clean. Corporate estimated that I would make 35 k a year. I’m on track to make 3.5 k a year. One tenth of projected revenue. I was grossing 25 k. I have lost over 5 k compared to last year same time period. I asked what owner cleaning fee was for over a month before I was informed it was 135. It was 50 before. And my cleaner did an even better job than their cleaners did. (. Cleaning was except able except it was triple the previous cost) Any of these factors would have been a deal breaker if Carrie had told me the truth. It is hard to believe that anyone could be that misinformed even on there first day on the job. I can safely assume that she lied on purpose. ( Cameron has told me no lies). I was deceived and I want out of this contract immediately. Please respond
I was a TurnKey customer and when Vacasa bought TurnKey and transitioned to this app we lost key functionality. Vacasa has slowly added a few things like inspection reports and support cases. There is still a lot missing - can’t add comments to open cases or add an attachment. This is a huge pain. I have to email support about an existing case which defeats the purpose of have a issues manager when I have to return to email anyway. - support cases lose white space after being submitted. When I write a case I use paragraphs and lists to be clear. The case text becomes one long sentence which is hard to read. - no cleaning or inspection photos. Cleaning photos were available for a short time and the implementation was poor. It was very slow to scroll through photos. That feature seems to have disappeared. Photo scrolling should have been implemented with asynchronous loading to provide a quick and smooth viewing experience. - visually mark the current day in the calendar view. The current app fades the colored bars for past reservations. The current day is not clear when there are reservation gaps. I also frequently see a bug where the faded bars are wrong . A dot or circle on the current day would be great.
App is not working correctly with IPhone 12 Pro. ISO 14.8 Launch application, login, first screen appears correctly. The Tabs at the bottom of the screen are not available, Dashboard is selected automatically. Attempt to select Calendar, My Home or Account: Nothing happens. Select See All: Calendar tab is active You can now select any of the tabs Dashboard, MyHome, or Account. -once you do can not jump to another screen. Once on a Myhome tab you can select one of the listings, select Done, now when you can select Account. You must go to a submenu of a Tab to access any other Tabs. Updated to ISO 15. All issues corrected, Application works as expected. Looks good.
The app is a work in progress. I can see that over the past year the app has improved considerably. However, there are many settings that can be changed by calling homeowner support that are not visible in the app. Sometimes these settings get lost as you think they may only apply to one current month, only to learn that they carried over in the next year. Many flexible last minute booking settings are not visible at all in the app. I seriously lost track of what settings I have set up now because there is no traceability. Hopefully they will make all these settings available in the app as well.
I am pleased with the way vacasa operates. I did not like the work of the cleaning person they had assigned to me, so they changed him and gave me a different cleaner. I would have rather seen my cleaning person try to improve and keep him but give him some training but that did not happen. If we are satisfied with mediocre work how can we get the workers to improve their practices? If we try to train them then ALL the parties would benefit. Than you
So far I am not pleased with Vacasa. The first round of photos did not provide any exterior pictures of the home. The home is waterfront and has a pool, neither of which were included in the photos. The home is loaded with amenities; kayaks, pool lounge chairs, beach chairs, coolers, fishing gear, gas grill and cornhole set. These items are in the utility closet and were not photographed either. The lead photo on the listing is a picture of the sofa in the living room and should be an overall exterior view of the property on the water. If I were to click on this property, see these rates and see a picture of a couch, I would move on. This is a premium property and must be portrayed as such by professional photos of the property with the amenities to increase the likelihood of renting. So far, two weeks active and zero bookings. Please escalate my concerns to your upper management and contact me ASAP.
I think you guys do an excellent job I appreciate how well you do, how much you stay on top of things and the good comments that we get based on the cleaning and your response to the renters, as the owner we read all of the comments that people leave and keep track of what happens greatly appreciate it Vacasa thank you you’re doing a great job it will be sad to lose you when we take ownership and start living there for good. This app is overall good. My only issue right now as an owner is the lack of visibility on what day and time housekeeping is set for, and receiving confirmation afterwards that my home has been cleaned. Not knowing has caused issues with guest turnovers and owner stays. Thank you!
I was with Turnkey when the were bought out by Vacasa. This app doesn’t recognize the iPad and that makes it pretty much worthless to me. Not to mention that Turnkey had everything visible in a single sign on including gross revenue and easy to navigate screens. So far Vacasa is not overwhelming me with the “improved” homeowner service and this app is a great reason to start looking for other property managers. If they are all going to work about same, charge the same, at least I can find one with an app that is worthwhile.
This app appears to work well but I really wish we could slide the button over to “housekeeping” on a property maintenance stay. We do the vast majority of our own maintenance, so when we are here we are also working on our property but also require housekeeping after we leave so that the property meets Vacasa standards, particularly during the “COVID TIMES”.
I decided to try Vacassa to simplify my vacation rental and go hands off on managing it myself. Huge mistake. On my own I was making anywhere from $3k-$7k a month. I haven’t made a single cent with vacasa. Now that they have allowed my 3rd scheduled guest with Vacassa to cancel after the stay begun with $0 financial compensation, my house had been unavailable for myself or anyone to use the last month in a half as these vacasa booking that turn out to be nothing. Not sure what king of scam they have going but beware.
As a homeowner, and just finding out about Vacasa. The staff has been completely upfront and professional. I would recommend this company to anyone who has a property they want to rent and make extra funds.
We’ve only been using the app for 2 weeks—so far, so good. But I’d like it better if we could specify the minimum net income we insist upon. Going through a human interface doesn’t seem to be working.
Vacasa has added zero additional features or functionality with this app. Owners like me have been begging for calendar integration, simpler expense statements (instead of having to “switch accounts”), online payments, and app/web-based support. What we get is a duplicate of the existing owner portal website … and a lot of fanfare from a company about to go public. It’s not a lot to ask a company of this size to make an app half as functional as, say, Airbnb’s app.
I would like to say that I’m enjoying the convenience of having my very own owners portal it makes everything so much easier the way everything is set up from viewing monthly statements to taxes to bookings.
Love the app but for the past several weeks I haven’t been getting push notifications. I was previously getting them so not sure what happened but it would be nice to see this issue resolved.
The owner management team is unresponsive and does not follow through with their commitments. I have been trying to get resolution on a billing error and an insurance claim for 8 months. I have dealt directly with the regional director for the Northeast. He made commitments in writing but has not followed through. After giving me all of his contact information and He doesn’t respond to messages, emails or texts. Not sure how he still has a job.

We love our Vacasa app and owner portal. We are alerted when when get a new booking , we can easily block out an owner stay and have easy access to our monthly revenue.
Newly upgrades of floor in the entire home. Clean and fully furnished with everything you need in the kitchen. Amazing view from the firepit. Deers coming around the property a plus for a perfect nature and view getaway!
This cute place was close to everything and had a view of Lake Padre.. The first floor made getting to the condo easy. The bed was a king and the bathroom was obviously updated.
So easy to check availability and crest holds. We enjoy reading the reviews that renters can also access. I can do this on the app without having to sign in.
So much fun! Location to Harbour Town is terrific. Quick walk and easy bike ride. Harbour Town pool was great. Beach was close by. SeaLoft was very clean with a fun fun beach vibe! Would definitely book again.
Without exception, Vacasa responds, listens and provides solutions to the myriad homeowner situations that arise without warning. I wish the team could tend to my own home!

Sure would be nice not to have to be on top of financials . You charge for things that should be covered by insurance . I have had to catch everyone and fight to get money owed to us. Making another phone call today . This has been since day one .
App needs ability to upload images of the home maintenance issues. Notes from maintenance team on resolution prices and final state. Images of the resolution.
We need the ability to change rates instantly. Not being able to do so prevents us from maximizing rates in busy/low inventory times and hinders our ability to manage yield. Waiting 2-3 biz days is egregious. We own the property and must have full autonomy on these matters.
Wish Vacasa had not bought Turnkey. No place to say I want to use my own housekeeper after owner stay. No place for putting problems or issues. No place to see when housekeeping went. No housekeeping photos. Terrible.
