If you don’t have the App yet then you need to download it right away . It makes things much easier, I can pay my bill with just a couple taps . One thing I love I can just tap my App and see what my balance is . I can see when the due date is . Then that makes it easier to pay my bill on time . I did not grow up with the internet , so I don’t like using it . However I have no problem using the app, it’s so easy. You can see what you paid compared from last year . You can see exactly how much you pay from month to month. I would highly recommend using this App !
Upper management doesn’t appear listen to customer
I am disappointed with the new billing statements which require 2 papers (more land fill) rather than 1 and are not as easy to understand as the previous billing statements. I am on “time of use” and no longer receive the amount of money I save. Also, I receive my check on the first of the month and have asked if I simply could receive my paper statement by the first so I can get my money management completed. While the customer service people (who are usually very helpful) tried many times to help me achieve my request by changing my due date, it didn’t help me achieve my simple request. I have gone to the app snd don’t know if this will help. So I am not happy with We Energies because while I am a good customer who simply wants to pay my bill, you make this request so much more difficult than it used to be.
while it does have some nice features, the very first thing that this app did was it forcibly enrolled me in electronic statements, without asking. What a great way to make a first impression. Some of us do not want to have to log into dozens of different websites for all of our banks, investments, utility providers, services, and other statement-generating businesses every month. It is in no way easier or better for the end user. I do not want to be tasked with having to keep track of all of these, and I still have to download and print many of them out for tax purposes, so it is better just to have them mailed through the USPS, which is simple and reliable. I am tired of hearing the lie of how much easier electronic statements are, and I highly resent being automatically enrolled without even being asked. it just shovels more work off on to the consumer, and is a poorly disguised attempt to reduce We Energies costs of doing business.
I had a small misunderstanding of the process in the beginning because it was my first time paying electric. I’m new to my apartment, and these things. I made a call to the customer service and their rep was extremely helpful. The app is extremely easy to use and simple, and the customer service is accessible. As far as efficiency goes, WE energies has their service together. The bills are cheap and reasonable for what you use. I typically leave things on in my apartment and usually come home to a bill around $30. Good stuff.
Called the 800# after I could not figure out the app. The operator (Dawn) was unbelievably helpful and even offered suggestions to make managing my accounts secure and easy. I haven’t had a WE account in several years and the improvements they’ve made since I left WI are incredible! Hopefully I’ll be this happy when the first bill arrives 😁
I love having the We Energies app it is very convenient however part of the reason I wanted the app was so that I could pay my We Energies bill from the app. For some reason it will not let me. I have tried multiple times and still no luck. Instead I have to write down my account number get on the phone and make it like that every month. Doing it over the phone doesn’t save any information so I have to go through the whole process every time. I was hoping with the app it would save my card and I could make my payments with one click.
Something is wrong with the app! It was working fine for awhile but I’m no longer able to log in on my phone. I keep getting an error message saying my email address or password is not correct. I’ve had to go on my laptop instead… where the exact same email address and password is used to successfully log in with. If the email and password work to log me in on my laptop, then I shouldn’t be getting the error message from my phone app that they’re not correct! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that hasn’t helped either. I’ve carefully retyped the info multiple times, even though it is in my stored passwords that used to log me in with no problem. :(
Never in my life did I think I would have to call a company multiple times and beg for them to just give me my bill. This app does NOT work. I’ve had WE energies for 2 months and I’ve had to sit on hold for an hour to talk to customer support several times because this app won’t generate my bill. Every time I get told they have no idea what’s wrong with it or why my bill isn’t showing up. I thought maybe once my second months bill came through it would work. My bill was visible on the app for less than 24 hours before it became inaccessible again.
I didn’t think I needed another app....was comfortable enough getting needed info from the website. but.....I was wrong! Downloaded the app to give it a try, and this morning received our first notification of a new bill. One or two touches on the phone.....and there was the bill. No log-in, no need to open a PDF of the bill, etc. very easy to use!
In the settings section you can set a dollar when which when you exceed it you are supposed to get a notification. You also can set up a usage notification to get estimated energy charges so many days of your choosing in advanced of your bill. It’s great when it works, but unfortunately it rarely does. I would say in one year it maybe worked right for a total of 3 months. I’ve tried changing the dollar amount and days but to no avail. I usually don’t write reviews but this is so frustrating and disappointing! This app is way too fickled!
WE has always provided prompt, courteous service whenever we have had an outage or an issue with our power. I really appreciate having the app which gives me accurate updated info on power restoration. No one likes to have power go out, but WE does a good job both in communication and repair.
I like being able to just log in and be able to glance at my amount due. It helps me keep track. The only thing that stinks is that my Chime Banking card is not allowed on the app, but it’s ok because online it let’s me use it, so oh well. The fact I can see my old bills laid out together is a plus as well.
Any time i make my payment on the app, instead of taking it right away it schedules it for a couple days out then when I check later, the payment did not go through and sometimes was canceled for some reason. It would be nice if we could make our payment and not have the app muck it up. I will go back to using the website, the app is worthless to me now.
I give WE a 5-star review. WE has been great for me. When I’ve needed to contact for any reason I had wonderful and caring people to talk with. When having an electrical outage I was kept informed to the situation(s). Thank you to WE energies for supplying my home with power, and showing the cares and compassions from the personnel. . Yvonne
I want to see a comparison of usage graph; so I can see how much gas and electric I use in comparison to last year. Yes, I understand the variables of outdoor temperature and sunlight vs clouds on the amount of energy I use. However, I find it helpful to see if I used more, less, about the same, or a significant difference in usage from year to year (comparing months). Thank you!
This is a very good tool especially when you are on the go. However, nothing is better than talking to a great customer service agent that is always helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and in my experience always pleasant to speak to. Keep up the great work!
I love using this app to pay my bills, but right now I am having trouble paying my bill. Whenever I load the app up it gives me a errors messages that say “oops something went wrong, check back later.”
Yesterday Jared answered all my concerns in a very kind professional way. He represented you well and made me aware of the fact I had 2 days beyond my due date to pay my bill. Have to wait for my SS check, but need to remain on budget billing-I thank him for the relief I felt!
This app gives you real time information that helps you. It’s not just to pay your bill but to help you understand your individual usage and how you improve, to Lower your energy usage and bill. Hats off to WE- thank you!
The app is great. But I sure would like to know when there is an outage, what caused it. My power has been out on and off the last 2 days. I hope someone finds the problem so it doesn’t keep happening. The map of the outages is very informative.
This app is very simple and easy to use. One of the best apps I have used for bill paying. Having multiple gas and electric bills to track and pay can be time consuming. This app makes it quick, convenient and extremely easy!
Very user friendly. I can easily view or pay my bill from anywhere, receive customized alerts via text or email and so much more AND no more having to sign in with your email address and password!
Waited a long time to go paperless. So far, no regrets. Very easy to use the app. Many nice features. Useful options. The app is easy to use. When adding a phone number for text alerts it would be nice if it was explained to tap the top line to add a number. Very quick and easy to pay a bill.
Please fix the app to give out the correct information. Energy Assistance paid my bill and the app is still saying I’m due to be disconnected. Is confusing and has my wife freaking out.
If you have a late fee it will not be included in that big number in your face. If you have a late fee you will need to do additional steps to include it in the payment. So if you don’t scroll down or look to the right you may miss that you owe additional money. Please fix it!
On a consistently tight budget, it’s reassuring to know, with a few taps on my cellphone, what this month’s bill will be. However, I am wondering how to download a year’s worth of proof of payment? With the WE logo etc?
Every time I enter this app I turn on the facial recognition so I don’t have to put in the email and password the next time. It usually works and I text it the same day, then I go back in a month later to pay my bill and it does not allow facial recognition again. Every other app I use allows facial recognition for about a year before you need to tell it to work again.
Not sure what happened but after last update the app kicked me out and won’t let me log back in unless I let the cookies in. That’s not happening so I deleted the dumb app and only using website. I thought we can get around spying and getting third parties cookies but I guess I was wrong. Thank you WE energies for making my decision easy to ignore your stupid app.
I love this app. Is is so easy to see & pay bills for multiple properties! (Even though paying bills is generally no fun) Love the price comparison graphs and electric vs. gas breakdown. Great UI and clean design system
There’s no chat feature and last year when I called because my bill was so high, I wasn’t offered the option of using evening rates. That’s taking advantage.
So glad to finally have an WE app. The design is sleek and neat, plus I have access to everything I need. Bye bye website, this is much more convenient.
I’m comparing the WEenergies app to the FPL app. When doing so I really came to appreciate the daily energy breakdown since I was able to understand what was the main drain in power. The WE app should take note and do the same. Everything else runs fine.
The app used to work great. I always wanted a we energies app because the website update is clunky. Then all of a sudden the app would crash all the time. But now the app doesn’t even load, it’s just a blank white screen. Even after deleting it and redownloading. If the app doesn’t work can you guys at least bring back the old website?
This app is simply a slimmed down offering of the website. Why they are wasting money with commercials saying how it’s an innovative app? Homes with smart meters (most in the area) should have real time usage in the app. If that’s too complicated, then partner with one of the great SaaS companies that connect to smart meters. Plus, offer some actual useful analytics to guide customers. Nominated for most useless app of the year!
