WFSB First Alert Weather

Channel Three has always been my favorite news network. I especially love Scott doing the weather. When we lived in New Milford we were better connected. But when we moved to the New Haven area we didn’t automatically have access to Channel Three. Recently I was finally able to download your app and I am happy to be back again! Thanks to all of you! I get a first alert for a tornado and click on the radar to see where its at and I’m sorry I have to watch an ad before i can see where yhe tornado is yep i sorry you got hurt or died but you have to watch our ad before you can see the warning on radar. And my location is Bristol I haven’t moved as i am home and it’s supposed to give me alerts for my location which is good then my phone goes ballistic with warnings for New Haven county New London county Fairfield county tolland county it got so bad I turned my phone off and almost deleted the app. This needs to be fixed along with the ads this I understand you need to run ads but when there is a TORNADO warning and you are trying to find its location while taking cover and then NOPE sorry you need to watch this ad first. The only live doppler rader in the state yep disappointment. Got the alert for the tornado and looked nope not on the radar and nothing had to go to the regional radar that actually showed its location but again had to wait for the ads to complete before you could see its location. The ads are huge and constant. More distracting than relevant. Give us a paid option to turn off ads. Also give us the option to see multiple “card” locations on the home page at once to compare weather or just see what’s in another relevant area to us. You would think after being stagnant for 5 years you would have seen how other apps work and provide relevancy to its users. No one wants to stare at ads that take up 2/3’s of your screen. Add these features and my rating will go up.

This is my favorite app. Use it several times a day. Check for high and low temp daily for grandchildren's daily apparel. On a farm, check for heavy storms, to see if horses need to bring animals in. So many reasons to check radar daily. Thanks for the accurate forecasting.

I like the app but I don’t need a weather warning every 5 minutes for the same warning. Even if I turn off all my notifications but the severe warnings I still get the same warning update every 5min. I get it, theres bad weather coming, but your turning it into “cry wolf”.

They did a nice job on this app works great up-to-date and is accurate it’s so nice to go directly to the weather in my Tolland area thank you channel 3WSFB 🥃Barry

I love the weather app. I don’t know why I didn’t get it sooner. I ride my bike 3 or 4 times a week and need to know the weather.

Channel 3 weather is super accurate and the warnings come with time to plan day. Thank you!

Hard to use and trust a weather app that isn’t even on the right day. Daily weather is stuck on 2 weeks ago and current and hourly is 2 days out.

Love this app use all the time

Too many ads in between areas on app site. When you delete one, another takes it’s place. Very annoying. Will just go back to wfsb weather website.

Scot Haney recommend this app which I enjoy, he’s the reason viewers watch WFSB

So many commercials/ads. I need to delete it. It’s difficult to find the information we need.

Best most complete weather forecast on Connecticut television

Would prefer green or optional radar background. It should all be on one page not 4

This is just a feed from the weather channel app. Exact same verbiage and temps. App powered by the weather co which is the weather channel

I love this app. I check the weather all the time when I'm not watching Scot, Eric, Irene and Nicole. What a great morning crew to wake up to. I get a good laugh in everyday with them. For those naysayers, if you don't like them, find another news channel. There are plenty of boring ones out there.

I have this set to use Cellular data but it continues to try to connect to wifi and then won't open. I've deleted it and reinstalled a few times, next time I just won't reinstall... A more detailed 3day forecast would be better than the tiny cut and paste graphic that just gives you the temps that is currently displayed. When I can open it, the info is great.

I now don't have to rush in the morning to hopefully catch the weather. I tune into the app and can even see the radar. I miss seeing Scot, Mike and Mark's fun personality but I usually don't have time now to sit and watch the weather. Thank you!!

Love this app to check on forecasts and closings. The technical information is my favorite part, informative and easy to understand. Use it every day!

I love this ap. It's never "froze" on me and I like the format- the extended forecast and better yet, the technical discussion. I also love that the weather app is separate from the news one.

This app is so easy to use and so accurate, my wife and I refer to it when deciding whether to run the air conditioning or open some windows. I use it every day!

Easy to use and full of all the weather and traffic information I need. The technical discussions are easier to read on this app vs the main WFSB app.

Functions are self-explanatory. Easy to use and understand. Nice bright colors make the screens appealing. Much nicer looking than Bruce Depriest.

It's always worked great

While this is a huge improvement over the WFSB news app, the data in the forecast varies depending on what view you select. I've noticed the technical, 3 day, and 7 day will often have vastly different information. Temperatures varying by as much as 8 degrees and rain vs partly cloudy are very different.

I enjoy this app! I use it for weather updates, radar and school closings! Sometimes it is slow and the updates are behind! Overall- a great resource!

Good app to have for approaching bad weather. Only thing is that I can never find the current and future dew points anywhere.

I wanted to get the texts when the weather is going to be REALLY BAD. I like that I can take ch3 w/ me and it's literally just a click away.

This is my "go to" weather app.

Information is often vague and not up to date.

App is good but GPS location shows nearest major city not exact location. Also, need a way to get rid of Ads, a paid subscription is more desirable !
