Of the broadcasting world. WIBW has found its mark in the bulls eye of news and is worthy of such praise. What stories to be told that continues to be detailed from the lips of the newscasters themselves. It is to go without saying that I shall be partial to WIBW because my household is among the divide. I the husband lean towards KSNT news where as my wife leans heavily on WIBW. Which ever one chooses. Let it be clear that I stand next to the WIBW app. For not is it only reliable but also cost efficient. BRAVO WIBW. BRAVO!!
The Channel 13 weather app is just part of life,,,you check it first thing in the morning,,,through the day and just before you go to bed,,,it’s just amazing how accurate the 10 Day forecast is,,and the radar is a must when the weather is getting nasty….Thanks Channel 13
I’ve used the app for several years which has been great until the last upgrade. Now it buffers for several minutes when I go to check the radar. I live out in the country and rely on this to determine when I should move inside. I have deleted the app and then downloaded again, but it hasn’t helped. It must be on WIBW’s end. Please fix.
I love to have the weather app at hand. It helps me choose my plans around Mother Nature and her amazing changes. Thank you WIBW for always keeping us updated on news and weather. 😎
This app will send several notifications throughout all hours. Even after turning off all alerts other than severe, it still goes off too much. It will go off for chances of rain, isolated showers, the forecast, etc. I would turn the notifications off but then I wouldn’t get severe alerts when needed, which is why I downloaded the app. I’m better off using another weather app and just checking the news when the weather is bad. Text alerts for severe weather are good enough for now.
I like this app, but on the iPad there are orientation issues. If the iPad is in landscape mode, the app will initially open in landscape mode, then immediately rotates to portrait mode. If you rotate the iPad to portrait mode, then back to landscape, it fixes the issue, but the app needs to sense what orientation the iPad is in at the time, and stay in that orientation. Otherwise, I have no complaints.
The text at the top of the app for the iPhone UI is very large on the IPhone Plus version. It makes the keyboard large and difficult to type on as well.
Even though I have set notifications to alert only for severe weather, I get alerts all day that have nothing to do with bad weather. The only solution has been to turn off all notifications. I love the radar, but rely on another app for notifications.
Love the weather information, but app has trouble loading. Often times I have to restart my iPad to get the app to display the weather information. They need to rebuild this app.
The main reason I have this app is to “stay safe” during storms. Friday night -April 29, there was a tornado warning issued for southern Pottawatomie county. Never got this alert. Luckily my husband got a notification from the national weather service, as the tornado was apparently only 8/10 of a mile east of us near St George. Apparently they only consider it important if the warnings are directly over you.
Ad’s in front of emergency warnings is ridiculous. The app updates too slowly and doesn’t give an accurate enough description of the weather. overall lots of improvements need to be made
Radar is a little slow(about five minutes behind the actual weather) and the app overall seems slow. But, it is WIBW weather, which is my preferred station for weather in the area.
For the most part, a very good weather app. Major flaw in the radar. Cannot see the precipitation/storms through the watch/warning overlays. Radar should be on top of the watch boxes.
aside from the fact that the commercials on the app are copious and some containing far right leaning propaganda. it has the worst notification sounds and constantly pesters you every minute during a storm. it should be illegal to abuse push notifications to this degree. i turned down all the settings and it was still far too much. there is no excuse for this. epic fail of an app. don’t download. terrible
About half the time I open the app, the temperature says 70 degrees no matter what the actual temperature is. And on the hourly and daily tabs, they all say 70 degrees as well. Very frustrating!
This new app is not user friendly original showed more info faster and easier and it was all part of WIBW news not two separate apps very displeased with new format
I really liked this app until today! I just received an update and now I am getting every severe weather notice in Kansas not just in my location! Obviously a bug needs fixed.
I just want severe weather notifications. I don’t want to get a notification that the weather is going to be nice, the source of the smoke in NE KS, etc.
This app is the WORST app ever. Way to busy, hard to read and looks like a grade schooler developed it. Wait take that back, it would probably be better if a grade schooler did develop it.
