Great app with videos from local meteorologists. The local guys keep cool videos in the app like fishing forecasts, ISS viewing times, and river updates.
This app works fine, but I don’t like the voice alert. A male voice speaks to me saying, “There is heavy rain near your location.” I live alone and this is disconcerting at first. I would like to disable the voice and still receive alerts via tone or some other more appropriate sound.
For up to date CSRA weather, it’s a wonderful app. I ended all notifications (inconvenient for me) because they blast updates a minimum of two times a day, often more. If I’m here, I can see it’s sunny, those updates are totally unnecessary! They had to run a good thing!
I downloaded this app back in the winter when there was a day with severe weather and possible tornadoes — the nations weather apps just weren’t giving me the local information I needed. I love this app mostly for its notifications. I’ll hear “news station alert,” and it tells me how far away lightning has struck, etc. Also, the radar map is great (compared to having to pay for Weather.com Premium for the fancy radar).
