Stop the intrusive pop-ups -constantly ruining app!
I had to delete app because I couldn’t read the storm warning details. The Mercedes Benz ad popped up at least 10 times LITERALLY every SECOND. If this is a bug, please fix it. When I first started using this app, that never happened. I hope this constant irritating pop-ups are not intended. NO ONE can read the weather details like this. 1-time pop-up is okay with me, but, not this! I seriously like this app but the pop-ups have ruined it for me. I’ll check later to see if this glitch has been fixed. Until then I’ll be searching for an less intrusive app.
The only thing this app is good for is seeing school closings. The radar was telling me no rain for an hour or so as it was raining. I had this app forever I loved it used it all the time. It was a reliable weather report now it’s so off all the time it’s not even funny. Today I opened up my app and it told me it was Tuesday still. After showing me an ad for a Mercedes Benz (cause we all want to look at that again for the ten millionth time) IT STILL SAID IT WAS TUESDAY. Needless to say after a year or so of having this app I’ve finally deleted it and will start the search of a better weather app.
Updates are short, too minimal and not detail enough to know what’s happening a few hours ahead! Very few times did I feel confident enough to know what what’s going on with the weather by watching and reading this app. Western mass news app is so much better for news AND weather!
Very nice app, great features BUT the pop-ups, banner ads are extremely intrusive and get in the way of the app's intended purpose. I will keep looking for a decent weather app. I paid for the Hi Def Radar app a couple of years ago; great for a year or so then they got greedy. I cannot imagine who would use this app and like the overwhelming ads.
Home Run Weather App! This new weather app from the Storm Team is great, loads fast, radar is very responsive and I love the sliding tiles, all I need right at my finger tips, no hunting! Good job WWLP!
Nonstop ads pop up and you have to close out of the app entirely to get ride of them. Extremely irritating when you want an update on the weather and all you get is ads. I watch 22News... but I’m over this app.
During a storm- the time that you need it the most - it’s frozen. I constantly have to delete and reinstall. Weather Channel is better! I also agree with the previous review about the pop-ups - a definite nuisance!!!!
I go to read the detailed weather and a Mercedes Benz pop up comes up. As soon as you close it it comes up again so reading the detailed weather never happens. Please address ASAP.
What is the point of this app? I finally checked it out and am not impressed. The national apps offer the same hourly info and radar, and the Channel 22 news app has weather info and more. Does Channel 22 think that none of its watchers ever travel and use apps that pull in info from other parts of the world? I'm a regular watcher of 22, but I am *tired* of their constantly harping on the weather app.
The app is buggy and runs very choppy. I'm using iPad Air. It's easier to go to their website instead. This app needs work with its interface as well, poor navigation. Alternatively, use Yahoo Weather or Weather Live, both are excellent weather app options with a beautiful and smooth design.
Installed. First thing see is a prompt to allow the app to send notifications, and use location. I COULD FIND NO WAY TO DECLINE THIS, AND YOU CAN'T USE THE APP UNLESS YOU OKAY THIS. No. Not going to happen. I don't allow ANY apps to send notifications, and I have Location Services turned OFF. UNINSTALLED without ever using, because this app is intrusive.
