How it works

A direct path to subscription revenue data

01

Connect Apphud to SplitMetrics

Log in to Apphud and go to Integrations > iOS. Search for SplitMetrics Acquire, add the integration, and enter your unique Client ID. Once your Apphud SDK is live, the setup is marketer-led and requires no new code.

02

Set your events and revenue preferences

Enable the subscription events you want to track (trials, renewals, promos), add user_created and app_reinstalled in the Other tab, and choose gross sales or net proceeds so ROAS matches your margins. Apphud handles the mobile measurement partner data flow into SplitMetrics automatically.

03

Start optimizing with Custom Conversions

Create Custom Conversions in SplitMetrics Acquire that match your Apphud event names. Optionally import up to 12 months of historical data so AI starts optimizing bids around your KPIs from day one.

Why App Hud integration

You'll have immediate access to:

Subscription analytics built for growth

As a subscription-focused mobile measurement partner (MMP), Apphud unifies subscription data across App Store, Google Play, and web, with renewals and refunds processed automatically.

Data that reveals true campaign quality

Track trial starts, trial-to-paid conversion, renewal rates, LTV by keyword, and paywall performance for Apple Ads traffic.

Faster paywall experimentation

Run paywall A/B tests and iterate on pricing without app updates. Subscription events flow to Apple Ads, Google Ads, Meta, and TikTok in parallel.

Built for subscription-first apps

Apphud serves AI apps, Health & Fitness, Productivity, Photo & Video, Education, and Streaming, where trial conversion and LTV by keyword decide profitability.

Frequently
asked questions

How does this integration improve campaign performance?
Connecting Apphud to SplitMetrics Acquire lets you optimize campaigns around the milestones that matter, like trials and subscriptions. You get keyword-level ROI and ROAS visibility, so budget decisions are based on actual revenue, not just install volume.
What should I do before starting the setup?
Before connecting the two platforms, make sure Apple Ads is already integrated in your mobile measurement partner (Apphud, in this case) and that attributed events are visible in your Apphud dashboard.
Can I track installs and reinstalls through App Hud?
Yes, you can. In the Other tab in Apphud, add user_created for installs and app_reinstalled for reinstalls to capture the full acquisition funnel.
How do I choose between gross revenue and net profit?
In Revenue Configuration, enable Send revenue properties to track sales. For net revenue after the App Store commission, turn on Send sales as proceed. This setting applies globally to all revenue events in Apphud.
Why aren’t my App Hud events showing up in SplitMetrics?
After the technical setup, you still need to create Custom Conversions in SplitMetrics Acquire that match your Apphud event names. If data still doesn't appear, check the Integration Status in Apphud. A Skipped status may mean the user restricted IDFA or the event is more than 24 hours old.
What does a “Pending” status mean in App Hud?
A Pending status means the event is scheduled to be sent or is still waiting for attribution data from another integration, such as AppsFlyer or Adjust.
Can I import historical performance data?
Yes, you can. Share up to 12 months of historical Apphud data with our team. That gives AI an immediate performance baseline, so you can scale based on established LTV trends from day one.
